Hot Ramen

___Stepping off of the bus, the young woman who thus far hadn't named herself sighs happily. The guy who drove the bus seemed to want some sort of payment, so she'd disappeared and reappeared in the back, not paying any particular mind to where her companion might be. All she knew was that this area smelled quite good, so there were probably some nice places to eat.

___Smirking, the devious female spotted the boy and glided over to him. "Ah, there you are," she chirped gruffly. "Come on, this way. Anyways, what else do y'all do for fun in this earth place other than touch girls you don't know? So far things are looking pretty boring..." She accented the end of the sentence with a yawn and began to eye the ramen houses. "I was thinking of grand theft actually. This side of town has more things than the others, which must mean that it has more of that green paper I always see y'all passing back and forth. Am I right?" One slitted eye fell on her companion, and an evil smirk lit the woman's face. "What do you do for the green stuff anyways?"

___"Wild animals don't talk, are you crazy? Ah, never mind, you might be..." The eye no longer scrutinized the man and turned back towards the street. Taking a deep breath, the woman began to walk towards one more expensive looking ramen places. "I guess that means you don't do anything for this money then... fine with me."
___One place in particular stuck out... the Ramen Booth. The building sent such glorious scents wafting through the air that she found herself drawn to it as iron is drawn towards a magnet. "My name..." she continued, distracted, as she turned towards the door. "I don't really have one. Call me Grunty..."

___Strolling on her merry way towards the ramen joint, she found her movement arrested by the man grabbing her arm. Looking at him, she didn't shock him, simply allowing her amber and green eyes to meet his. Somewhere in her mind, she idly wondered for what reason he grabbed her arm. "Ingel, eh?"

___I allow him to walk past me into the restaurant. After all, he was the one ordering. "Eh? Why'm I here? I got kicked out you could say, but I did pretty much leave of my own volition. They basically sentenced my mom and dad to death and after that it was only a matter of time..." There was no emotion in her voice as she talked, and her tone was casual, as though she was discussing the weather. Her eyes travelled up and down the menu, trying to discern which ones produced the best of the cocktail of smells she detected in the air. "Have you ever been here before? What would you recommend?"

___The woman's gaze fell wickedly on something someone else's order. Unbeknownst to her, the masterpiece was called kitsune udon and comprised of thick noodles in a salty broth, in this case soy sauce, and topped with deep fried tofu. Small, half moon shaped slices of fish loaf decorated the plate around the bowl and were interspersed in the soup as well.
___Greedily, Grunty's eyes lit up green and narrowed at the tasty dish as she wiped a bit of drool from her mouth with her sleeve. "What's that? I want some uh that."

___What was that? The smell of that particular dish screamed like a thousand sirens and he asked what it was. Oy... Unfortunately, the woman still lacked a concept of personal space, and thus walked straight over to the man's table as he peaceably sat and began to enjoy his soup. Grunty's butt plopped down on the chair and she jabbed her finger at the soup so closely it almost touched the broth. "This. I want this."

___Grunty laughed heartily before getting up. "Oh he doesn't mind, isn't that right?" A slap on the man's butt accompanied the question, which was clearly rhetorical judging by the way she walked away and payed the businessman's shocked and outraged expression no mind. Settling down at the table Ingel chose, she studied the menu once more. "Well, this dish has 'fox' in the name, so I guess I'll order it. It's ramen, how bad can they possibly fuck it up, eh?" She put one elbow on the table, a bored expression on her face as she flipped open a pocket watch that she'd just stolen from the man at the other table and studied it.

___Grunty nodded and yelled out, "Hey, chick! We're ready to order!" Settling back into her seat, she allowed the very pissed off looking employee to ignore her for a good 15 seconds before shouting out again, "Hey, Forehead! Don't make me come over there!" This time upon settling, the woman began to grumble, "Shoo... booji ass skank. She serves one more person before she gets her b..."
___"How may I help you?" the waitress chimed in, her tone polite despite the very irritated expression on her face.

___"Bad day?" Grunty chimed in, loudly and with a snort. "I'm having the time of my life, Specks. Hey, lissen, Chick," her voice lowered as she motioned over at the businessman with the bowl of soup she wanted. At this point, he was frantically searching his back pocket for his pocket watch, but hadn't seemed to put 2 and 2 together yet. "What that guy has? I want some. And try to be quick with it, would ya? You seem to have an attitude and I don't have all day. Hey, you want anything, Angle?"

___"Eh? Nice? What's this nice? You know, up where I come from everyone's really nice, and you know what?" At this point, she leaned forward as though divulging some great secret. "All you're really doing is lying to people. You know? That front take so much energy to put up, and you know what?" She leaned back and kicked her feet up on one end of the table and folded her arms behind her head. "I was nice for too long. It's not worth it. Too much energy. I'm on this plane to party and nobody's going to get in my way." The waitress wrinkled up her nose, as though smelling something unpleasant. Growling, Grunty burst out, "Bitch! Back the *** off and go make me some noodles!"
___The waitress left straightway and Ingel asked for the watch. Blinking, she looked at him funny, snorted, spit into her hand, and went to clap down on his, as though in a hand shake. "You must be out of yo weave," she said simply.

___Blinking, she regarded the man in front of her for a few seconds, then started giggling. Unfortunately, with her gruff voice it came across more as very amused choking or growling. You want the watch back, little man? I understand..." Settling down, she sighed as though in defeat and began murmuring in a low, rapid chitter, "Come yea harm is made, Vulture of Heaven, Horned Rat of the night, empower my spell and work our will by magix rite. By all the power of land and sea, by all the might of moon and sure, I call the earth to bind my spell, sky to speed it well, bright as fire shall it grow, deep as tide of water flow."
___Provided the spell went through, Ingel would find himself suddenly unable to move, bound by invisible static ropes.

___Smiling at the success of her spell, Grunty held the watch before the man's face, swinging it back and forth steadily. "What? I thought you wanted it? Why ain't you reaching for it then? Ain't you gonna kill me? Ain't you gonna put me in the ground? You was talking that gooood sh!t a second ago..." Smirking again, she leaned back and observed the waitress arriving with the order. "Ah, if it's not my good friend with my soup..." Taking it and sniffing the warm vapors blissfully, she stood up. "Well, it was good hanging out with you, Goggles, but I don't like your attitude. Mebbe another time, another place, we could go for another date, eh?" Not waiting for an answer, she trotted swiftly and purposefully over to the man with the missing pocketwatch. "Here you go, sir!" she declared as she handed his property back to him. "That scoundrel I came here with is a bit of a klepto. He took it from you, but I got it back..." the spell would wear off soon. "No need to thank me! I'm going to miss my bus..." With that she turned and swiftly sipped soup as she made her way out the door, leaving Ingel with the bill and the angry businessman.
