Jacob walked up to a green door on the second floor of a fair oridinary building. Then again all the buildings in the area looked ordinary, simply cause they all had been turned into apartments. He put the key into the key hole and opened the door. He walked in and looked around the place. It was a fairly simple one bed room apartment, with a bathroom, kitchen and living room. All the basic things someone would need to get along with an average life. He set his bag down and waited for his "roommate" To come in.

He sighed as he listened to his demon brotheren. "I almost have the same view as you, but this internet has got me interested. I have learned a lot about this world, and how to conquer it." He said in a calm tone. "You complain to much, you think since you hate it so much you would want to change it." He said as he walked to the back room and tossed his bag on the bed. He then walked back out into the living room. "And I couldn't stand the spirit world, and even less so after we became Onikonjou. Thats the reason we came here, to get away from that crap. And to take this place over, but we will get no were with your complaining." HE said as he sat down on the couch.

Nero raised an eyebrow to his companion. "The dragon of the underworld talks of honor? Thats a strange thing." He said laying down on the couch "I could careless for honor and justice. This whole world is full of nothing but hypocrites and they are barely worth living. But since you bring up your former life, let me ask you. Do you remember when you was a simple Yokai? Before we ascended? I was just thinking about it."

Nero put his arms behind his head as he looked at the ceiling. "I have to agree with you, its been a while for me as well. But its alright we will have time to revert back and have fun once night comes." He pulled his hand out and streched his arm out. He looked at his open hand. "Yea we did. But If I remember correctly you started most of it. I was simply there to fall in with you. Your naturally loud and a pain to deal with." He said as he began to drift back in thought about when he became a demon and met Ryu.

~Flashback~

The light blue Hyena stepped towards the gates of the underworld. He was about to pass those gates and become A Onikonjou. He hesitated for a moment, is this really what he wanted. Or would it better serve his needs to join the other side. His spirit had remained almost untainted since his death. Even when he became a Yokai and not just a floating wandering spirit. He still had remained fairly neutral. Now he stood at the gate still plotting even now.

The hyena looked towards his traveling companion. They had both decided to come to the underworld, to gain more power. "Im just deciding if this suited my needs is all. Im not to sure though with your insesint bellowing. Im not to sure they would allow you in the other side. Not only are you blood thirsty but your just loud. Not sure I could stand hanging around you here." He said thinking once more about the decision. "No your breath is far to annoying to fight you. Besides I dont want to have to drag your frozen ass into hell. Id rather you walk in there, With your head held high." He said mocking the Dragon and he began to walk towards the gate. He had no real reason not to go into here. He heard what happened to the others. They became soft and weak and even though they may had God on their side, but they were pathetic.

The hyena shook his head as they went through the gates. The idiot didnt even realize he proived his point with the yawning. They continued walking and the Hyena wondered if they had been tricked. He didnt feel anything, no strength, no power, no energy, no...Thats when he felt it. It was a slight pull at first, that made him stop in his tracks. Suddenly he was engulfed in flames. For a moment he actually felt fear, but then he felt the power and strength being feed into his body. He was getting bigger and stronger. But he also felt himself being tainted, with the power of darkness, but he welcomed it. Once the flames died down he found himself changed. He now to the form of the legendary being Cerberus. With three heads, and his bur was a more cosmic ice like fur. He turned to see just how his comrade, who he could now see eye to eye, turned out.

Nero stood for a moment thinking about what Aequitas had said. He didnt feel any other thought or presence. The other heads were more like extra limbs and eyes. It was strange but it seemed he would have plenty of chance to try it out. There was a couple of spirits talking about killing them and taken their bodies. Nero was about to ignore them, he had just gotten some new powers and wanted a chance to get used to them. But Aequitas had quickly issued a challenge. And it could be heard all throughout hell, or at least as far as Nero could see. "Guess there is no other choice. Try not to get killed Aequitas. Dieing twice would be just pathetic. As these two are about to find out." He said slightly stretching his shoulders out and wiggling his toe paws. He then side step a few away from Aequitas. He didnt want to get caught up in his fight, nore did he want to take out Aequitas. He needed him, the brute could be of some use. He also noticed something, his steps originally slightly burned form the heat of hell. But now he actually saw that the spots he stepped on froze.

Nero ignored the roars that were coming from the dragon. He blocked out everything that was around him. The other demons coming to watch, the fire that was all around him, and the hellish area. Everything was blacked out except his opponent. Nero was surprised in himself, he had never focused so greatly on an opponent. Before him was a humanoid but the body began to change. It slightly grew in size, and what could be considered fur grew all over its body, its mouth became a snout. It grew fangs and claws along with muscle. "A werewolf or wylof as they liked to be called. This should be interesting." He said. The wolf gave a smirk and then lept after him. It was amazingly quick and Nero barely had time to get out of the way. This process was repeated several times. It was like a large beast dodging a fly over and over again. And it was all part of what Nero was planning.

Nero took a side step as the werewolf dashed past him again. He had been stepping around the whole area dodging the lycan. The wolf finally stopped once he landed and then looked at Nero. "So are you going to dodge all day or are you going to fight me? You can only keep this up for so long. You think you would be more dangerous with that huge body. Or is it all just for show?" The wolf growled as he spoke making his speech a little hard to understand. "Oh this is over now that you have finally stopped jumping around like a grasshopper. I hope you enjoyed it." Nero said confidently. The wolf looked angered and was about to jump again when it realized that it couldn't. "What the fuck?!" It said as it looked down to find his feet and ankles had been frozen. " You failed to notice since you was focused on my head. But the entire area has been frozen and now so have you." He said as all six eyes began to glow with a cold and icy aura. The wolf glared back at him, and suddenly his body began to shake. "Wha...What have you done...Its so cold!" As the wolf spoke a icy mist came from its mouth. the area was still hot but the wolf was shivering. "I am taking what you take for grantee. The warmth of your spirit, it shall be frozen from the inside out." He said and the wolf let out a howl that was closer to a scream as it suddenly froze in place. Nero was considered smashing it but the flames of the underworld quickly melted him into nothing. "A fitting end. Now how is the scaly one doing." He said as he now paid attention to his surroundings. He then say Ryu, now in a human form. "That fool, but I guess its a way to contain the power. But its building in him, and his true form will come out soon.

The large beast looked down at his companion in his human form. Nero closed all six of his eyes for a moment and then a light engulfed him. A moment later he was in his human form and he looked at himself. "Hmm not bad, almost like what I would have been." He said. There was an underlining sentence there that was not said. Being that when he died he was actually young. But he would not say it out loud. "You are correct we are not able to get to the human relam, just yet." He said indicating that it would take a while for him to et them out of there.

~4 Centuries later~
The city of Arden was one of the few places in the underworld that a demon could actually go to without all the death and screaming being about. Well not the deathly screaming that they were used to. But another, usually the sexual kind. Nero was walking pretty fast through this area cause its were he and Ryu had decided to reside. He was looking for Ryu now to tell him a bit of good news. He want to one of the hellish bars that was there and looked around hopefuly seeing Ryu being himself.

Nero had showed up at the bar in time to see Ryu's opponent get stuck and then swiftly defeated. All Nero did was simply grin at this. ~Hes turning out very nicely.~ He said to himself as Ryu walked up asking why he was late. "Iv'e been taking care of our problem. But lets not talk about it here." He said as he turned to walk back down, what could be best called, a street. As they walked Nero decided some praise was in order. "It seems you are making quite the name for yourself. I hear things all the time of the demon who wont transform to fight even the strongest of opponents. Even though this last fight you used quite a bit more tact than usual. Is was it because he was legenary creature like us?" HE said as they turned into a building and began to walk up some steps.

He sat down and listened to the explanation the demon gave with mild interest. He knew all about Ryu's 'lack of being able to transform' And it was simply due to the demons own laziness. But he had proven time and time again that he didnt need it. And that was one of the main reasons Nero kept him around. The guy was strong, probably stronger than Nero, but he wasn't gonna take the time to find out.
"Well im here with something thats very important to us. We are going back to human world." He said and paused for a moment letting it sink in for the guy. "While you have been beating the tar out of everyone in hell. Ive been working my way up the latter. Well your fights helped, but we have been noticed, by you know who. It took me a hundred years to get noticed, another hundred to get to talk to the guy. and another two hundred to get him to let us carry out one of his plans. But this one is special. We are going to take over the world, but not by force buy business." He said taking a pause once again to let things sink in. "The devil wants us to get everything set up and ready to just take the throne. But ive got something else in mind."

Nero grinned when Ryu said his ambition was boundless. "I learned from the best there is. But I degress, you will not have to worry about fighting Satan or God. Satan is stuck here and he should know that. He can send a form of himself but never his true self. That form will be at but a fraction of his power. And by time it comes over here to take over what we have built. We will crush it. The only one im concerned for is that damn archangel. For God will never directly involve himself in the world. So he will send others and we will crush them." He said and then leaned back feeling more free to voice the next part. "Besides we will have to gather allies to even get through the first stage. And the more allies we get the better. And dont worry about death, there are already steps in place. Trust me, you and me will be back in the human world soon enough. And once we are, we will take it over quicker than you defeated that last idiot." He said refering to the recently beat demon. "All I need you to do is get stronger. You are the trump card. I hate to inflate your ego but I really dont think there is a demon stronger than you. That being said, if you dont find your released form soon, then you might get crushed by one of the elites. I cant have that happening." He said putting his hands behind his head.

Nero looked at Ryu from the corner of his eye. "Flattering ill take that complement. But we wont know until we get out there just who out smarted who. Satan is no fool. He knows how ambitious I am. So it will be a constant fight of watching our backs. but im sure you wont mind that." He said closing his eyes. "The generals. Your right they do seem like a myth. But ive seen one, and the presence he gave off was frightining. He was the lowest so he was acting as a relations between me and Lucifer. But he was far above us, and I could only barely keep my composure in front of him. I assure you Ryu, they are real. Before this plan finishes we need to be as strong as them. Actually, if we do become that strong we can tell no one. We become more of a threat the stronger we get." He thought for a moment. "The next tournament is a century away isnt it? That should be long enough for me to pull everything together. And actually I think I will enter with you. I could use the experience. And who knows we might end up fighting each other. I think you would enjoy that. Getting a chance to finally beat me up."

~Time skip~

Inside a building, in a room covered in shadows, there could be seen two figures. Nero was on one knee and one fist to the ground with his head down. In front of him was the form of what seemed to be human. But it had several horns on its head. And tribal like tattoos all over its body. "So those are your orders, everything is almost ready, you just have to make sure you hold up on your end of the bargain." The creature said in a very demonic tone. "Yes I will." Nero replied. The human beast snorted. "Be sure that you do. Or I will slit your neck myself." He said as he suddenly dissipated. The figure of Nero that was kneeling melted away into nothing. The real Nero then came out from a dark corner. "Heh I look forward to that day Hitorria. For once you go to cut my throat you will realize that I have already cut yours." He said as he looked down at his right hand. the whole fore arm began to glow a light blue and then pulsated with the color. He then looked outside a window. "Hmm it seems about that time. I have held up my end of the deal, lets see if he has held up to his." Nero said as he grabbed what passed for a trench coat and slung it on. He walked out of the room and began to make his way to the tournament.

Nero walked up about half an hour after Ryu. He had no clue Ryu was there yet and there was to many other demons to filter out his energy. He walked up to the sign in area, and some ugly demon said. "Put your hand on the pad rookie. And say good bye to anyone you care about." Nero put his hand on the pad and simply walked away. He got into the arena and looked around at the demons that were gathered. It was strange to see so many of them in one spot. and at least not have any fights break out. But all the weak ones were in the stands so it would make sense that there was no fights. Nero walked down to the competitors area and saw all sorts of demons gathered. From the thin and agile, to the large and powerful. Nero simply went to a corner, leaned against a wall and waited for his turn.

Nero heard the announcment that the tournament was under way. The long list of competitors was kind of disheartening for Nero. For each fight was fought one at a time. And that would mean it could take a very long time. "I really dont have time to watch all of this. I wish they would have made multiple fights at once. Well I might as well go watch I might be able to see Ryu." He said as he began to walk out of the waiting area to the ring. Thats when he noticed a cloaked figure in the ring with a snake spirit. "Hmm there is something familiar about that..." Thats when the force of the tail hit and the dust kicked up. It cleared and the opponent was unharmed. "Yea I thought so, So i guess he did get stronger." He said as a partial smile crept on his face. "Excellent."

Nero watched with amusement as Ryu embarrassed the demon he fought. "Just like him to beat someone like that." He said as he was about to turn around."THE NEXT FIGHT! NERO VS GURRIAN!" The announcer yelled out. Nero spun on his heel and went right back out into towards the ring."Interesting right after Ryu. Hmm there might be something to this tournament." He said as he jumped into the ring. His opponent jumped in as well. They took a few steps forward and stopped. A moment later his oppoent transformed into a giant bat type. But Nero staied the same. "Oh so you think you like that last guy and can win without transforming." It said as it flapped its wings. Nero simply grunted. "No I think that guy is like me not transforming." He said mocking the bat. "You will regret that!" The bat said as he rose up into the sky high enough that he almost seemed out of view. He then began to dive bomb towards Nero. A slight mist could be seen around Nero's hand as the bat approached. He side stepped as the bat flew past him and rose back into the sky again. "Whats wrong? You gona side step me to death?" The bat asked. Nero looked up at the bat with a puzzled face. "Well no im not but I was just wondering how you are flying without these." He said as he pointed to the wings that was laying on either side of Nero. The bat then realized his arms were gone. Not only that but there was no blood cause the wound was lightly frozen up. The bat fell with a screech and landed on the arena head first. Nero than walked back towards the arena waiting room. Shaking a little frost off his hand as he walked.

Back in the south waiting room Nero looked at the list of fighters again. Minus his and Ryu's fights there was still 38 other fights that needed to happen. "I doubt all the fights will be as quick as mine and Ryu's." He said and he suddenly felt something behind him. "You think our hot shit huh? You know i could save my self some trouble and crush you right now." A ape demon said. Nero grinned. "You know what thats not a bad idea."

The announcer stepped up. "AND THE NEXT FIGHT IS RI..."He was interrupted by Nero tapping him on the shoulder. "huh?" "Excuse me but it seems all the demons in the south waiting room are unable to fight." He said calmly. "What? What do you mean?" "go look for yourself." Nero said. The announcer walked down the steps to the waiting room and slipped falling on his ass. "what, what did I slip on." He said and his question was answered. As he looked into the waiting room the entire thing had been frozen in ice, including all the demons. "Wha WHAT!" He yelled. Nero walked up behind him. "Seems they had an accident. I guess we are down to the last ten matchs huh?" He said giving a death stare at him. The announcer stuttered. "y..y..yea looks like it." He ran back out to the stage. "DUE TO UNFORSEEN EVENTS THE LAST 10 MATCHES WILL BE HELD NOW!"
