Looking up at the Gunner's Delight sign on the gun range, I take one final drag from the cigarette between my lips. After I finish taking the last drag from the cigarette, I pull the butt from my lips and drop it to the ground before stepping on it and twisting my foot to make sure it was out. The range has started to become a frequent hang out I like to visit to come and shoot, it is good for practice and to let of some steam, shooting the shit out of things that wont die is nice and it won't get you in trouble with the law. I begin to move across the parking lot and as I do so I exhale the smoke from my lungs and let out a light cough, " Damn, I need to stop smoking.. " I say to myself as I make my way across the parking lot and into the gun range. As I step into the building, I shift my gaze and glance around for a moment. I made my way to the counter and checked in the weapons I had brought and filled out the paper work to get some ammunition I could use while at the range. After getting the ammunition I begin to make my way back to the firing range. The closer I get the louder the sound of gun fire grows, a familiar sound I had grown use to years ago. Stepping into the range, I begin to search for an open spot but sigh lightly upon seeing that all the areas where taken.

It'd probably been about a day before a certain major occurrence. Mei had decided that she would go to the Gunner's Delight range, since she'd definitely inherited some of her Father's mindset, she did like to use firearms. Despite how in some aspects they had some pretty bad names, they were good for keeping oneself safe in bad situations. Additionally, whether a gun was benevolent or malevolent depended on the person holding it. Polishing her skills may do her some good since having crude control over the gun, in life or death situations, or even just when looking very bad when shooting aimlessly at a gun range, was never a good thing. It was sort of fun. She never dreamt of actually using the Adorned Pearl model on another human being. She learned that it was a fairly simple process of getting the sole weapon she brought checked, and then doing a handful of things to get some ammunition. The sound of gunfire, in such constant dosages, hurts her ears a bit. She was however wearing those earmuffs that did wonders to muffle the gunfire. Something that her Dad had dubbed 'funfire'. She always reprimanded him a bit for assigning that pseudonym. Though, as she goes into the range, she quickly takes notice that the majority of the spots were taken. Like a stray cat, she walks around, a tad bit confused. It wasn't like she was used to this setting. Then, she finds herself stumbling into an encounter with what appeared to be a male. Figures in this scenario. Though, she honestly did seem pretty foreign to this area with how she looked. She removes one earmuff to be able to coherently hear him, if he were to respond. "Oh, excuse me Mister, sorry to bother, but do you know where an open spot may be at?" Mei politely enquires.

Firearms Training

Shifting my gaze around, I continue to scan for an open place where I can shoot, but there is still no opening. Since nothing had opened up yet, I let out a light sigh. There was nothing I could do aside from wait for one of the people shooting to finish up and leave. Idly, I continue to scan the area, keeping an eye out for an opening that I could take advantage of and start practicing. My search for an open spot is interpreted as the muffled sound of a feminine voice catches my ears. Turning my gaze to see who had spoke to me, my gaze fell upon the young girl standing next to me. Pausing for a moment, I turn my gaze from her and glance around, again searching for an open spot before I turn my gaze back to her, " I'm afraid there isn't one open just yet. You'll have to wait for a spot, like me. " I say as I look over her again, " Though, what's a young lady like you doing here? " I ask, still looking at her. She seemed out of place in the Gunner's Delight. Though it wasn't a common sight and hard to picture, I'm sure there where people like here in the city that liked to shoot, but even so, she still seemed out of place and somewhat confused, though if I could help her, I knew it was my job to and I felt I needed to help the younger generations.

Mei pouts moderately to acknowledge there weren't any open spaces. Though, shortly after she reassures her smile as he continues to speak. It was always nice to be able to converse while waiting for something; she found back in school, which quite frankly wasn't exactly years upon years ago for her, talking seemed to distract her from always paying attention to the time. It turned out she wasn't alone when it came to waiting for a spot, so she could easily get away with utilizing such as a reason to stay around and make chat. Admittedly, she wasn't used to this type of setting. She is posed with a question, which she sort of had been anticipating to be asked at least once today. Honestly, she did seem extremely out of place. The girl even had her hair decorated with a hair flower, which appeared to be a white chrysanthemum, which make her even more foreign to the scenario. She smiles, appearing to be gifted with an exceptionally calm demeanour. Not to be confused for apathy, of course. In fact, her voice was equipped with a bit of chirp, again contrary to a place filled with guns. "Oh, my Dad is pretty good with guns. Or so he likes to think," she laughs, before continuing. "so when he let me try it out recently, he said I'm pretty good with them. And, here I am." She summarizes it as much as she could to not go into a ramble. "I don't think I'm too good with them, though. Especially the revolver I brought; the recoil is pretty rough..." She concludes.

I keep my attention fixed on the young girl as she begins speaking to me. Listening to her I couldn't help but think about my younger years, though unlike here, I didn't have a father to guide me in life.. She seemed like a nice young girl, very up beat, though she still seemed out of place in the range. " I see. " I say as I think over what she said. If she was indeed skilled with the use of guns, she could use someone to help her develop her skills, other wise the journey would be one filled with trial and error. " I wouldn't put such doubt in your skills. You may truly be skilled with a gun, though it takes practice to hone your skills. If you don't mind, could I see the revolver your talking about? " I ask, wishing to see the weapon she spoke of. Another thing that can hinder progress would be using the wrong weapon, if it is to strong for the person it can hurt them more then help them and with a young girl like her, it might not be wise to use such a weapon, depending upon how much recoil the weapon has and from the sounds of it, it is pretty harsh for her.

That was definitely something she could agree with. She may have a general innate talent for handling them, but practice could do wonders for honing them to an even greater extent. Mei didn't particularly seem like a violent person both in the mind and even with her visual appearance. Of course, there were plenty of people around who could be dangerous for that fact, but she seemed sincere and definitely not fake with her persona. "Oh, sure. It's right here." She retrieves it in a prompt manner and holds it in the correct away for actually handing it to somebody. It always felt slightly odd to retrieve a gun, even if just showing it to somebody, because of the usual intention on the streets when people take out firearms. When she presents and shows it to him, it is revealed to be the Adorned Pearl model. It was pretty flashy, and almost looked like of those older revolvers, but seemed to be efficient as the more modernized models. It probably wouldn't be a surprise that her gun is just about as decorative as her. "Even though I don't have one, I think my favourite gun would have to be the sniper rifle." She makes a circle with her free hand around her eye like a lens, as if she were looking into a scope. "I haven't actually used a sniper before. When I lived with my parents, it was way too expensive to really get." She laughs sheepishly as she admits that fact.

She agrees to let me see the revolver she is speaking of and as she retrieves it, I keep a close eye on her to see exactly how she pulls the revolver out and presents it to me. I am pleased as she pulls the revolver out and offers it to me in a manner you would when offering someone a gun. Carefully I take the revolver from her and begin to look over it. Though it was a gun, with the way it is designed and the decoration it seemed more like a show model then one you would actually use. As she continues speaking and begins to speak of a favorite type of gun, I turn my gaze back to her and nod my head faintly at what she has to say, smiling faintly as she makes the circle with her free hand around her eye. " I see. " I comment before turning my attention back to the revolver for a moment, " This is a very nice gun, though it doesn't really fit my style of handgun. If I had something like this, I would probably keep it in a display case. " Slipping the cylinder out, I check to make sure the revolver was not loaded, " What is your name? " I ask, glancing back to the girl for a moment.

Of course, the revolver hadn't been loaded as of yet. She figured there would have been little point to loading it if she hadn't yet a spot to practice the shooting at. She could definitely agree that it did look like something that would be in a display case, rather than used out and about. Having a model like this broken or stolen would certainly be unfortunate. Mei is gladdened to know that it is recognized as a nice gun by another person; she wonders to herself if this simultaneously meant that it was a 'good' gun, based on actual efficiency. It was the only gun she currently had in her possession, however. There also were a few additional reasons she felt attached to that specific firearm, but she'd been fairly secretive about it since it'd happened. Mei didn't particularly know what to say in response to the former, but then she is posed with a question.
"My name's Mei." The lass responds positively. Her gaze casually shifts between the general configuration of her gun and the person who she is talking to. "What's yours, if I may ask?" She mirrors the question she was posed with, hoping that she would be met with a reasonable response. Up until now she has been met with reasonable replies, so she doesn't worry too much. Of course, the question was referencing his name, and not the actual gun she presumed she had with him. It was something she was curious about, but hadn't particularly localized the opportunity to question.

Finding the weapon had yet to be loaded made me relax a bit. Pushing the chamber back into place I turn my gaze back to the young lady as she answers me with her name. As the same question is asked of me, I offer Mei her revolver, " Name's Ingel, and its a pleasure to meet you Mei. " Reaching out with a free hand, I extended it out to her, offering her a friendly hand shake. As I offer the hand shake to Mei, I notice a man not far behind her that seems to be finishing up with his time shooting and getting ready to leave. With the opening of a spot, I knew I had to take advantage of it fast before it was taken, but on the count that I'm not a mean person, I knew I couldn't simply walk away and leave Mei here to wait for her turn. So, I quickly came to a compromise in my mind, one I had done before while at the range. I would see if Mei was willing to share the open spot with me so that we both could practice, and if she was up for it, I would see if she was willing to let me give her some pointers and perhaps even help her with the use of firearms. " A gentlemen has finished shooting it seems, would you be willing to share a booth with me? " I ask as I look down at Mei.

The girl takes the gun back into her hand, before lifting her attention lightly towards that man once again. It is revealed to her that his name is Ingel. She is open to the humbleness and enables her free hand to extend forth, accepting the friendly handshake.
"Nice to meet you too, Ingel." The girl adheres closely to her usual etiquette. Partially, she is glad that she met someone who wouldn't persistently question why she was here and additionally encourage her to leave due to her not fitting in with the rest of the general crowd. Instead, she'd appeared to have encountered someone who certainly seemed to be able to accept her foreign nature when it came to not really fitting into the populace that made up the majority of this gun range. She warrants a small smile, before noticing a spot free up.
Mei actually didn't really want to take the spot, seeing as Ingel probably had been waiting here before her. She had a reasonable amount of patience, so she wouldn't have minded the wait all that much. Though, she is posed with a saint offer; to be able to actually share the booth.
"Oh, really? You wouldn't mind?" At first she seems a bit confused, but then she lightens perceptibly. Her positive answer becomes apparent pretty quickly. "Yeah, that'd be great, actually." It'd be a lot more efficient, too, since they'd be only taking up one booth, which would in turn allow more people to be practicing in the booth she would have had to take up if he had not made such an offer. Though, she had been hoping someone could look at her skills with firearms. Since maybe then, she could actually get someone to critique some aspects of her gun-play that may have been more crude.

As she asks if I wouldn't mind sharing a spot with her, I shake my head faintly. I had done it before with others and it was something I had grown use to. " No, I don't mind Mei. " Now that she had accepted my offer to share a booth together, I would get to see just how good she is with the revolver and see what kind of skills she has with it. Being the polite gentlemen that I am, I bring an arm up and gesture towards the open booth, " Ladies first. " I say down to Mei. Once she had begun to head towards the open booth I would follow after her. As we come to the booth, I glance down range for a moment before turning my attention to Mei, " Say, would you like to go first Mei? " I ask as I look down at her. Since I wanted to see how she used the revolver, I decided I would let her go first, that way if she was open to the idea, I could help her if she needed and wanted it. As I await her answer, I begin to get the booth ready so that we both can start practicing. I set up a target at about the mid point, though I begin to wonder if I should move it closer if Mei wished to go first.

     "Thanks." Mei responds in appreciation of the charitable gesture. She begins to make herself over to the booth, keeping her eyes occupied by surveying her gun. Of course she presumes that Ingel had been following along as she made her way over, as agreed. Her attention shifts as well as she takes notice of the question she is posed with. Another generous enquiry, and perhaps something that she wouldn't mind compromising on.
     "Sure. I'm a bit rusty, though. Just let me know when things are ready, if you will." Admittedly she says as the thought of acquiring the ammunition crossed her mind. She figures that she would wait until things had been prepared before bothering to load the firearm up. She takes notice that it'd been set up at around mid point; she didn't exactly know the specific ranges, yard-wise. She appears to be content with it, as she always did admire challenges when it came to aim. It may have been better this way since she wanted to see if she were actually good with a revolver. For a while now, she did hope that her Father wasn't just humouring her.
     Inspecting the gun, she pulls on the leverage on the side to gain access to the open cylinder. With prudence and a light touch, she brushes her fingers over the cylindric area of the firearm. Mei had always been fascinated by the mechanics and structure of these weapons for some reason; she could definitely show appreciation towards the genius who came up with the innovation. Though, she wouldn't load it quite yet.

Once I had the target set up, I take a moment to look at it to make sure I had it at a good range. Satisfied with it, I give a faint nod and turn my attention to Mei. As my gaze falls upon Mei, I noticed she was holding the revolver now and had the cylinder out as if she was ready to load it, though she wasn't doing that yet, instead it seemed as if she was admiring the cylinder of the weapon. Though, did she know how to load the weapon or was she stuck on that part? Coughing faintly to get her attention, I begin to speak, " The target is ready whenever you are Mei. " It wasn't a problem if she didn't know how to load the revolver, if needed, I could show her how to do it, though hopefully her father had already done that when he introduced her to the weapon. " Oh, I also have another handgun you can try if the revolver's recoil is to much for you. " I add as I reach into my coat and retrieve one of my Hakaisha pistols. Unlike the revolver Mei had, I knew the Hakaisha was loaded, though I had good reason to keep it loaded, though I always kept the safety on on all my weapons. Pressing the magazine release, I pull the magazine from the Hakaisha and set it on the counter in the booth before I pull back on the slide to take the bullet out of the chamber.

"Wonderful." Mei positively responds as she looks towards the target. The range it is at was sufficient, probably matching up with her expertise given that the word of her Father were true. The smile she had prior softens a little, not being so apparent as she were making preparations to shoot a gun. If she hadn't, she sure knew that the recoil would have wiped the expression off of her face swiftly enough. She turns her attention towards Ingel as he speaks of letting her use a handgun. That was, of course, if the recoil on hers was too great for her. Her face displays immense appreciation for the comment.
"Can I? That'd be great, I like trying out guns. Kinda makes me hopeful for the recoil to be too much for me." She jokes with a brief laugh. Mei makes a nimble withdrawal, fishing out a round to slide into the cylindrical chamber the firearm warranted. The rounds were certainly big enough. Her loading time is definitely crude, but such would likely be yielded from not using the instrument of humane destruction in quite some time.
"I loaded it correctly, right?" She asks, surveying it before taking aim towards the target. "I just wanna make sure so it doesn't like, malfunction on me or something." She wonders to herself the low percentile of that being able to happen. Though, if she were to only possess a revolver, and her Father only showed her the mechanics of the revolver, it was in question if she knew how to work other guns.

Taking the round from the chamber, I slip it back into the magazine as I give a nod to her inquiry, a soft smile appearing on my face when she makes the comment about the recoil to be to much. " Don't worry. Even if the recoil isn't bad, you can still try the gun out to see if you like it more then the revolver. " I say as I keep my gaze on her and watch as she pulls out a round before she begins to load the revolver's cylinder. Since she was loading the revolver with a single round, and the fact that it was a revolver, I didn't mind the time she took to load the weapon, revolvers always take longer to load with out a speed loader.

When she finishes and asks if she had done it correctly, I give a faint nod, lifting my gaze from the revolver and turning it down range as she begins to take aim towards the target. I hold back a faint chuckle at the comment about checking to make sure the weapon would malfunction upon use. I didn't think it would, though I didn't know the condition of the inside of the weapon nor how clean it was, " Yes, you loaded it correctly. Now, like up with a point no the target and when your ready, give the trigger a gentle squeeze. Don't forget to brace yourself too. " With that bit of advice, I fall silent for a moment and turn my gaze back to Mei to watch her as she fires the revolver.

Mei nods in response to the advice she'd acquired from Ingel. With the bullet now prepared into the cylinder and secure, she could now fire at will. She knows that the interior of the firearm was clean to prevent the possibility of jamming. She had to maintain a firm grip onto the handle of the gun, and keep her finger around the trigger idly. Lifting her thumb, she applies light pressure to the trigger of the gun. Pulling it back, there is a small click to signify that the gun had been ready to be fired - at last ready for use. With Ingel close in proximity, even if she did mess up with the shot it would be a plausible concept for him to help out, which conjured about a content and relieved feeling. With one eye closed she takes as best aim as she could on the target. Her acquaintance's utile advice flowing through her mind, she would gently pull the trigger, causing the gun to fire.

She flinched slightly during the shot due to the slightly rough recoil for her size, but she smiles since it'd been a lot better than when she first attempted to fire the gun. The bullet had a fairly honed accuracy, but didn't hit a bullseye location on the target. Nevertheless, she is content with the shot's outcome, even though it could probably have been better. There's always that rush attained from doing something she thought at least moderately inconceivable for her, successfully. The accuracy on the shot, it was pretty good, but looked like it could be better given that she had more control over the gun. "This brings back memories, but I did better than before. My Dad always told me to control the gun, and not let it control me." She laughs at the perhaps wise words she'd been spared who knows how long ago. "How did I do?" She asks curiously, panning her attention towards Ingel.

Keeping my gaze fixed on Mei, I remain silent as I watch her, waiting for her to fire the revolver to see how well she handles the recoil. As she begins to pull the trigger back to get ready to fire, I glance down range at the target for a second before turning my attention back to her as she pulls the trigger, causing the gun to fire the round in the cylinder. When she fires the revolver, I watch her form closely, watching her reaction to the weapon firing as well as the recoil the revolver puts on her when it is fired. It seemed the recoil still had some effect on her, but it wasn't an extreme effect and she seemed to be able to handle it, though it still had an effect on her. As she began to speak, I listened to her and smiled faintly at the comment, though as she continues, it seems her father imparted some wisdom upon her with his words. When she asks how she did, I turn my attention down range to the target to see where she had hit it, " You did good Mei. " I say with a soft smile as I look down at her, " You handled the recoil well, though I seen it still had some effect on you. " Pausing for a moment, I glance down range at the target before turning my attention back to Mei, " What part of the target where you aiming for? "

Mei happily nods in response to the compliment. Sheepishly, even; there is that subconscious sensation, the hope that it wasn't just humouring and she actually did do decent. Though, a question is posed to her, causing her to tilt her head slightly. She looks back towards the target. Assumedly, it was one of the general ones with the black silhouette of a human figure. The bullet hole would be on the arm, meaning inches away from the main points of the prioritized bullseye, the heart, or even the head. Since those were of the deadliest regions to hit with a bullet. She turns her attention back towards Ingel. "Well, I was aiming for the chest. But I can see my aim was a little bit off." The range may have relevance to do with the shot, though, she also didn't exactly know how accurate revolver were in comparison to other guns, especially when not overly accustomed to the recoil. Perhaps a scoped weapon would do wonders to hone accuracy more, but unfortunately such wasn't always available.

"Oh, you can go whenever you like, by the way." She states as though coming to an abrupt realization. She moves a bit more to the side in order for him to acquire whatever space he would need to make his own shot, if he were to choose to do so. Not to mention acquiring the original position she had made her own shot from. She checks her gun's cylinder once again to make sure no remnants had been left within.

I glance back down at the target and look at where she had hit the target as I wait for an answer from her. When she begins to speak, I glance back at her and give a faint nod to her answer before turning my attention back to the target, glancing at the place where she had hit the target before looking to the area where she ment to hit. For the moment, I remain silent as I study the target, glancing between where she had hit the target and where she wanted to hit the target. It was apparent that she needed some more practice and work on her accuracy. When she began to speak again I turn my attention back to her and pause for a moment. I had forgotten all about my desire to practice at the range, the thought of helping Mei out with her practice having taken priority. As I watch Mei as she moves to give me more room in the booth, I smile faintly, " That's alright. For the moment I feel like helping you out, though if you feel like watching me shoot for a moment I can give a demonstration. "

Her expression notably lightens as she receives what she'd been subconsciously hoping for. She looks back towards the hole on the target. She quietly wonders to herself if the humane image of the target effected the shot to any degree, but she briefly brushes that off as impossible. She pushes the cylinder back into place, albeit it wasn't loaded. Her thoughts digressing back to the current topic, her brow elevates and she acquires her signature curious, and intrigued, look. "That would be great, actually. I think I may learn better from seeing demonstrations first." She would observe with a watchful eye as she shifts her attention from the target, and to Ingel. Learning better from visual demonstrations wasn't all that uncommon, she'd figured. It may aid her ability to further hone her shot, once knowing the rules of thumb and principles of keeping accuracy to a high pinnacle. That and, she wonders how well Ingel could place a bullet into that target. With his apparent experience with guns, it was plausible that he could be some sort of top marksmen, or maybe he was someone who worked with firearms for a living; perhaps he even was a gun mechanic of some other variation. The amount of things that could be implied by good handling with guns, she realizes, is diverse.

As she speaks up, accepting my offer for a demonstration, I give a faint nod, " Alright. " I say as I reach down and pick up the pistol I had set on the counter, " I'll be using this though. It's more my style. " I add as I reach down and pick up the magazine, " This is how you load the pistol. " I say as I move so Mei could watch as I push the magazine into the open slot on the bottom of the grip of the pistol. Once it was loaded I shifted the gun to show her the safety, " The safety switch. " Shifting the gun away from her, I switch the safety off before taking aim down range at the target. As I take aim at the target, I firmly grip the pistol with both hands and adjust my shoulders some as I take up a more appropriate pose for shooting. " Don't for get to brace your body when you are getting ready to shoot. " I add as I look down the sight of the gun, " Also you don't need to rush your shot, at least not unless it's a life or death situation. Here at the range you can take your time and line up the shot. And when you are ready give the trigger a light squeeze, just enough to pull it to fire the chambered round. " With that, I wait for a brief moment before I give the trigger a squeeze. The pull of the trigger causes the pistol to fire. As the pistol fires my shoulders lurch back just a bit from the recoil but thanks to my experience I knew how to handle the recoil from the weapon firing. After the first shot, I lower the pistol and glance over at Mei to see if she wanted me to take another shot.

Mei obediently observes as he begins to prepare his own gun. Judging from the appearance, she assumes that it looked more modernized than what her own looked like. Her eyes gleam with a momentary fascination as she gazes towards the firearm; the manner which it was loaded did seem pretty cool, especially in comparison to what she had. At this point she realizes the convenience of her own gun having a speed reloader or something, but she could invest in that later. He had been helping her analyze the actual anatomy of the gun, and she compromises on this, nimbly locating the safety switch with her gaze. She would take note of this and surely would remember it. For the mechanics of future guns she would use, as well. As he fires the shot, she notices that the recoil is extremely limited, barely even there, at least that's what it visually looked like. Without a doubt he must have had experience with firearms to be so stable with their use. "Wow, that shot was way better than mine." She states, beginning to trod lightly on the obvious. It was easy to tell that he was capable of shots of keen accuracy.
"Could I try another shot? I think I have a better idea on how to do this right, now." Mei says, opening up the cylindrical chamber of her own gun once again.

Firearms Training

I keep my gaze on Mei and as she makes the comment about my shot, I smile faintly as I glance down range at the paper target and where I had hit it. When she begins to speak again, I turn my attention back to her and give a faint nod to her question. " Sure you can. " I say as I flip the safety of my pistol back on as I take a step aside to let Mei take a shot. " And you did good for your shot. I have had many years of experience with firearms. The pistol is what I favor and am most skilled with though. Given time and practice you will be as good as I am, if not better. " I say with a smile as I look down at Mei, " Like me, you seem to have a knack for firearms and don't think of that as a bad thing. " I say, trying to assure her of her skill, " It only becomes a bad thing when it is put to the wrong use. But if put to the right use it can benefit everyone. It can help you protect those you care about... " I say the last part a bit softer as I shift my gaze from Mei back to the target. I remain silent for a moment before I continue speaking, " Hmm, how about this time you try to hit the target in the chest? " I ask, turning my gaze back to Mei, seeking to challenge her a bit with the next shot.

Her expression glimmers humbly as she receives praise for her last shot. With all hope, this comfort to her ego would give her the will power to make a more accurate shot next time. She seems a bit surprised when he mentions having years of experience, even though it went to show easily. Then, Mei seems to listen more intently when hearing about how the use of firearms could be beneficial given the right scenario. Upon his conclusion of that elaboration, she would nod lightly in response, smiling in agreement.
"Huh?" She asks, looking from Ingel, and then towards the target. Several blinks ensue before she recognizes what he was asking of her. "Oh, okay. That sounds like a challenge." Mei gives a challenge inspired grin. The moderate wonder of just how close she could get to the chest courses through her mind briefly as she begins to prepare her gun.
With deliberation, she places the round into the cylindrical chamber of her revolver. Moving back into her original position, she focuses her eyes upon the paper target up ahead. Closing the cylinder back up, she points the gun forward, taking aim as best as she could. Beginning to line up the shot as best as she could towards the designated target, the target's chest, she closes one of her eyes to hone the accuracy to the best of her ability. Evidently, she was going to take her time with this shot, opposed to last time. Bracing herself, she gives the trigger a gentle squeeze when she thinks she's got everything lined up well enough. The round fires and tears through the air, hitting the paper target like a truck. Lowering the firearm, she takes a look towards the target.
"Oh wow; I followed what you said, and that's a lot closer than before." The girl would state, tossing a surprised glance towards Ingel. The bullet hole was somewhere on the chest, but strayed away from where the heart would be by more than several inches. "I don't think I bull's eyed, but I hit somewhere on the torso."

With the stated challenge, I glance back to the target for a moment as I wait to see if Mei was willing to accept the challenge or if she didn't feel up for it. Either way I didn't mind, if she accepted it and tried to hit the chest then it would help her, though if she decided not to that was fine too, she may not be as confident in her skills with the pistol and that was fine. At first it seemed like she didn't get the challenge but as she continues it seems like she understood and from the sounds of it she accepted the challenge put forth. Turning my gaze back to her, I smile faintly, glad that she had accepted the challenge I put forth. Her actions go on to show that she was indeed accepting the challenge. I watch as she loads the revolver with another round before moving back into position and begins to get ready to take the shot. Remaining silent, I keep my gaze on her, still watching her as she begins to get ready, taking her time to make sure she was ready for the shot. When she was finally ready she takes the shot and seconds after she had taken the shot, I turn my attention back to the target to see where she had hit it. She had done much better with this shot then with the previous one. I listen to her as she begins to speak and as she finishes I turn my gaze back to her, " That's alright. I didn't really say any set spot on the chest so hitting it anywhere is fine. I simply wanted you to hit the chest, once you have that down pat we can move onto different areas. "

Wonderful! It looked like she may be learning a bit more things about gun expertise than just how to shoot the thing, period. That overall seemed to be something she knew, but before being told how it was a little crude. She felt as though she were a little bit better with guns now that she could remain calm and handle the recoil to a greater extent.
"That's great!" Spiritedly she says, excited to learn more about the subject. She felt so glad to be out of school, for she could pursue things like these, which was only one thing in the diversity of things she could invest her time with, opposed to just studying and academic things.
Surveying her gun with her eyes briefly, she looks back towards Ingel. "Oh, what are we gonna move onto next, by the way?" She asks curiously, tilting her head a bit to confirm her intrigued nature. Mei did seem pretty relieved that there wasn't a specified point on the chest for her to hit; in her head she gives herself a pat on the shoulder for achieving such successfully.

As she begins to speak I nod at what she has to say. Until she could hit the targets chest repeatedly, I felt it would be pointless to have her hit a specific part of the chest. If you can't even hit the chest then how are you going to hit a set point on it? When she begins to ask about what we will be moving onto next. I pause for a brief moment as I look down at her, " Well.. " I say before shifting my gaze from her and down range to the target. While looking at the target, I think on what to have her do next. Turning my gaze back to her, I glance down at the revolver she is holding. I look at the gun for a second before turning my gaze back to her, " I don't want to put to much on your shoulders to start with. But if you feel like you are ready to move on, you can try firing two rounds back to back to see how you handle it. "

Affirmatively, she nods in response to Ingel's instructions. She does seem quite determined to improve her abilities with these firearms judging from her willingness to learn. To be honest, she almost could connect this to when she was a kid and she would get excited about certain topics; though, she knows that this wouldn't be a topic that would diminish as easily as the ones back when she'd been so puerile.
Back to back, she was familiar with that phrase. Basically, he meant to fire the rounds consecutively. Being aware of this, she would begin to prepare the gun. This time, instead of placing one round, she would place several into the cylinder. This was because for something to be consecutive and quick, a prerequisite would be to have more than one round in the firearm.
"I think I'll be able to do this. So pretty much, like you said before, I brace myself for the recoil, but just gently squeeze the trigger multiple times instead of once?" She says as she pushes the cylinder back into place. It appeared that she just wanted to confirm this before going onwards with her shot. Now, she'd made the mechanical preparations for the shot, but not the actual aiming and such.

Since there was no objection to the idea from her, I knew she was willing to give it a try. As she begins to reload the revolver I watch her to see how many rounds she places into the gun. Though when I brought the idea up, I simply had her loading two rounds into the weapon, though she loads more then two rounds. This was good though, if she was comfortable with firing multiple rounds it would make it easier to have the revolver fully loaded. When she begins to speak I lift my gaze from her and look down range at the target as I listen to her. " Yes, though the recoil will be more then with just a single round, and instead of firing all of the rounds, how about we start with two to see how well you handle it, alright? " I ask, looking back down at her. She seemed a bit rambunctious, wanting to fire off all the rounds in the cylinder, but I wanted to see if she could handle two first.

Well, that certainly seemed like a better idea than what she may have had intended. So, for now, she would just have to warrant two sequential, clean shots and aim them with a stable accuracy. With a familiar nod, she casts her attention back towards the paper target. Concentration was a prerequisite.
"Okay. I'll just try two." The girl did seem a lot more secure with just using two instead of using a successive amount. Adhering the gun in her grasp, she begins to raise it once again. The gritty texture of the handle clings obstinately against her palms as she slowly entangles twin index fingers around the curvature of the gun's trigger. Inhaling a deep breath, she places her mind into the most profound equanimity she could achieve. Lining up her shot would be initial priority, as before. Yet, another thing would have to be noted, and she prepares for it.
Her tension is a bit superior than before. She had to be. The recoil would be, hypothetically, double what it was before when there would be two shots. Bracing herself for it would be best, though by now, she is at least moderately familiar with the impact recoil would distribute.
Closing one eye, she gently squeezes the trigger. A bullet would fly, hitting the same district as last time. Another mechanical projectile would accompany its trajectory soon after. Treating the recoil as she had prior, she conflicted against it, having squeezed the trigger briefly after. Each bullet hole savagely forged seemed fairly spaced apart, though it didn't seem like the space was too roomy. Mei is just glad she managed to handle two shots; doing any additional, she knew that would have been too much, now.
"Whew! The second recoil coming so quickly...it was harder to deal with." Mei says, looking towards Ingel once again.

As she agreed to just do to shots, I give a faint nod, glad that she was willing to go along with it. I keep my gaze on her as she begins to raise the gun and take aim at the target down range. Shifting my gaze, I glance down range at the target for a second before turning my gaze back to Mei before she gives the trigger a squeeze. Like before, she was able to handle the recoil from the first shot and I keep my hopes up as she follows through with the second shot. She seemed to be able to handle the increased recoil from the second shot well, which was a good thing. With the second shot, I glance down range again to see where she had hit the target with both shots. Though there was increased recoil she did well with both shots and hit the target in generally the same area. As she begins to I give a faint nod, " Yeah, but you did good. " I say as I turn my gaze back to her, " Do you think you can keep going, or do you need a break? "

With a fatigued breath, she keeps the firearm to her side securely. That was relieving. Doing good was something that everyone wished to do, of course. Judging from her face, she appeared to be content with the compliment given. Even if she were just doing good now, that meant with practice she could do extraordinarily. Mention of a break ladens her with a feeling as though she just received a Christmas present. That could be distinctly deciphered upon her face, as well. Though, her expression seems to return to mundanity as she comes to a mental realization.
"Actually, it'd be great if we took a break. I think I can keep going for now, though." Her words are laced with determination like laces through a work boot. "Can we take a break after?" She enquires. It was innate to find it hard to resist a break, even if not now.
Her hand caresses gently over the surface of the gun's barrel sturdy, as though she were a massage therapist tending to a indigent patient. Her fingers play with the exquisite design embedded into the material the firearm consisted of. She would await his reply before doing anything.

When she begins to answer me, I listen to her answer and at first believe that she was going to take a break right now. Though that quickly changes as she mentions she can keep going. Her desire to go on with her practice is something I admire, she is willing to push herself further to become better with the gun, even if she was tired at the moment. As she asks if she could take a break after, I give a faint nod, " Yeah, you can take a break when you feel like it, though I don't want you pushing yourself to hard. Its alright to be adamant about your desire to train and go beyond your limit but don't get reckless with it. " I say, giving her a simple warning not to push herself to hard, I was alright with her continuing with her practice but I didn't want her to get injured or injure someone else.

It was true. Even guns training could be arduous on the body given that it was trained excessively. Determination was a prerequisite to success in many cases, but just like an overdose of everything, in hefty amounts it could be taxing.
A single nod confirms that she realizes this, or at least understood the wise, yet concise words. "Maybe I'll just take two more shots." She establishes, opening up the cylinder once again. Her fingers localize two more rounds. "Then I think it'll be a good time to take a break. Afterall, if I want to keep practicing, I can't end up injuring myself." A brief laugh mingles with the conclusion of her statement.
Mei puts two rounds into the respective sockets in the cylinder. Repeating what she has done twice now, she closes it back up, arousing that familiar 'click', as though it were the gun's way of saying that is was prepared. Facing the paper target once more, she keeps her eyes focused on it.
Of course, it felt good to be knowledgeable that someone cares about your well-being. For sure, she could see this day as a day she'd made an unexpected friends. These momentary thoughts make their departure from her mind as she braces herself for the next series of impacts of recoil.
Bang, bang! The gun thunders its acute, familiar noise. The recoil is dealt with as prior, maybe she'd grown a fair bit more accustomed to it. The bullet holes stare towards her like wide eyes on the head of a curious owl; they were spaced apart visually in the same way. Mei seems surprised.
"I think this is something I could get used to." The girl says lightly.
