Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) Empty
PostSubject: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptyFri Nov 26, 2010 10:35 pm

It was mentioned only in whispers for fear that someone might challenge those that knew about it. But I had found out about it none the less. With a sigh I made my way to the room, looking around as I came in. My eyes narrowed as I looked around. There were people gathered, all of them looking ready for a fight, either to get into one, or to enjoy one. But this was what I was here for. I'd found my way here because my body ached, it craved the fight. Something deep in my soul, just behind my eyes told me that this would be a lot of fun.

I smirked as a few of them seemed to eyeball me, judging my abilities for whatever reason. They were either going to be disappointed, or were going to look forward to it My eyes narrowed as I moved between them, one guy moving to get in my way. He was large, his body pretty well built. He had muscles that showed through his clothes, but he didn't impress me.

I stared up at him and he gave me a goofy looking grin, pointing at me his hand over my head. I glanced around, taking in the looks that I was getting. This was something I was used to, most people at school tended to look at me as some kind of alien, so it didn't make me feel any more intimidated than I normally was on any given day.

PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptyFri Nov 26, 2010 11:34 pm

Academy life had been getting boring. With a sigh, I slipped the white suit jacket from my shoulders, allowing a quick, crisp move to the side. Tossed, it landed in the arms of an assistant that always traveled with me. As Director of PsiVoli, the underground organization behind the Venturion Academy, I watched a fight that was currently going on. One of the fighters was over built, and to my mind, slower than the other. From the last few times I had been here, I had earned a permanent VIP seat. The money involved was rather enjoyable, but only a side hobby. Raising a single hand, a bell would sound to signal the beginning of the fight,.

Taking a seat, I would look to my left where Samantha, my left hand, would be seated. "Interesting fighters we have tonight.."

Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 12:01 am

"What the hell?" I said, looking around as the crowd moved back at the sound of the bell.

Glancing up I suddenly realized what I'd gotten into, when the big guy's fist filled my vision. Just great, you stupid asshole, you walked into a fight club and the first thing that hits you is a punch. The thought was all it took, my body bracing before I grunted, the hit throwing me to the ground. Growling I twisted my head gently, popping my neck. Getting to my feet I growled, the world around me shifting red as I drew on my strength. Growling I turned as I came up, my left hand striking out in a quick viper jab. My fingers were straight, as I aimed the blow toward his throat.

He was faster than Kisuke, at the very least, leaning back. But as my fingers passed under his chin, I used the momentum. My body turned, my right leg leaving the ground, my heel slamming against the side of his head. I could have sworn I heard a crack as he went down. But this guy wasn't Kisuke, he was an experienced brawler, and I had no idea if he was getting back up. So for good measure I brought my foot back slamming it against his ribs. That time I knew something had happened. I felt something give under my foot, likely a rib breaking.

"Sucker punching bitch..."

PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 12:11 am

"Bravo!!!" I cried at the first punch, and what a great punch it had been. I brought my hands together in applause and satisfaction at the cheap shot that had been taken. It was a difficult task to watch and not want to get involved. After all, heads of syndicate's didn't normally fight unless provoked, or was settling a debt. A resounding "oowww..." would follow at the sight of the kick. If that broke something, I would be unsure of how much the human had left in this fight. Long were the days since I had been down in that pit, and I almost missed them. Sitting in the beaurocracy was completely different, and without its pros. The others would sit and chat, not really caring about the people fighting, but just about their money.

"Sammy.. whos that new kid.."
"no clue boss..." she would reply. it seemed like we may have a new kid on the block.. he had promise.

PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 12:23 am

"Fucking shit, I would expect that a place as organized as this at least had rules. But fine, dirty fighting it is. Who's next?" I said, looking around. "Huh? Who's got the balls to try and sucker punch me next?"

I looked around, my chest heaving. I was more winded than I expected to be but then again I was getting worked up, and enjoying myself. The shot he'd taken had hurt, but still he'd gone down and looked like he wouldn't be getting up anytime soon. Looking over my shoulder I watched another guy step toward me and took a fighting stance.

I watched him carefully, my left arm tucked in close to my chest, my right extended out in front of me. My fingers curled in as I stood there, waiting for him to make a move. But he didn't look like he was ready yet. But with the red shift active the world around me moved much slower than it normally did for me, something I never really understood. I couldn't figure out if I was just moving really fast or if the world actually slowed down.

I watched him draw his arm back and stepped forward. Stepping forward myself I pulled my feet up quickly my heels slamming against his chest in a quick dropkick, his jab interrupted mid strike.

PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 12:56 am

He had spunk, that was for damn sure. Cocky little kid. Oh well. Standing, the rest of the political peeps would take a gander at me before laughing and beginning their own subtle discussions. Yes, it was about to happen. Samantha looked at me with a bit of amusement before opening her cellular. A quick call would happen before the door was opened, revealing the outside of the VIP area. It had been a while since the last incident, and maybe this was just the kind of thing to let me flex my muscles a bit. Not like i was going to do anything serious in here.

"How about me!"

Walking down the path between fans and patrons, a gentlemen would give me a hand down to the actual fighters pit. I had never been down here before. Maybe I could make this a challenge. I was pretty confident in my own brawl style, Let's see if this human could back up his words. It looks like he wasn't getting much competition down here anyway. .

"So, how about it kid... you have what it takes?"

"I have the balls to accept, it that's what you're asking. As for beating you, we'll have to see how it turns out." I said, watching the approaching male. "You seem to have a reputation here. Should I know you?"

I was grinning as I watched him. He was different from these others, was he their champion or something? Take it in. The way people carried themselves spoke volumes. Confidence sure as hell wasn't this guy's shortcoming. He was still moving slow in my current red shifted state. But at the same time he was moving faster than the others around me, but there was no way in hell this guy was going to to be as easy as the last two. But still looked interesting. Worst thing was I couldn't read him at all! Most of the people I fought with were easy to read, but this guy, was either a very skilled actor, or he had the skill to carry through on the fight he was promising the crowd.

"Let's dance, shall we?" I asked.

Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 1:12 am

The blue shirt I wore was in contrast to the white pants. I had left the white jacket up in the box with Samantha. Last thing I needed was to get it dirty or possibly ruin another suit jacket. Rolling my shoulders back, I nodded to the ring master, letting him know that I was serious in fighting. Usually it was a security risk to allow a profile to engage in such behavior. if something went wrong, we all had security that was more than willing to take care of the issue. This human was rather interesting, and definitely had a pair. It was impressive, the last human that approached me like that was on that military team, and I nearly killed him. What was his name again? Oh.. guess I should focus on the task at hand.

"whenever you're ready kid."

Sliding my left foot forward at a forty degree angle, my weight would shift to my right side, planting for a defensive stance. Time to see if this kid had the strength to back up his words.

Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 1:42 am

Smirking I watched him taking in his challenge. Glancing left, then right I observed the ring before taking my own fighting stance. My left arm was extended this time, with my right arm tucked across my chest. With a grin I began to move, my legs moving. My eyes never left my opponent as I went, my eyes narrowing. The red shift was still in effect, my eyes glowing dark red as I circled around my opponent.

Ba Gua, or as some called it "Circle Walking", was a martial arts style designed around constantly moving in circles. It was a style of evasion that made it hard to hit the practitioner since they were constantly moving. When put into use in combat, the idea was that the practitioner could get behind their opponent, and put his hand on your spine, making it impossible to turn to face him. When it came to moving the practitioner's legs were akin to the treads on a really big truck, so while moving in the circle anything that came between the practitioner's legs was thrashed apart.

I moved quickly, my body spinning as I did. My arms shot out at the same time, both of them striking out toward the other male's chest.

PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 12:24 pm

I would simply stand there for a moment before putting both hands into their respective pockets. His fighting stance was interesting, and his expression confident. Good, good. Confidence was always the best way to approach any type of combat situation. It had been a while since I had used the heavenly broad strike. It was a formless combat style that looked like random flailing. The point of it was to keep all enemies at a certain distance while striking at chosen targets. It was mostly used for multi target combats. Come to think of it, I probably wouldn't even need to utilize it here. Things would change rapidly, as the other made the first step forward. My eyes would narrow for a moment before a force of pressure emerged from my body. The pressure would press directly outwards away from me at full strength while I looked at the human.

"Lesson one. Direct isn't always the best option if you do not know your enemy..."

Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 5:20 pm

My eyes narrowed as he watched me. He made no move to block the strike, but something was pushing at me, pressure trying to drive me back. It was strong, and I felt my upper body slowly leaning back. My body shook as I shifted, my feet sliding back behind me, digging into the ground as best they could. Growling I stood there, my body leaning against the pressure he was pouring on. I wasn't going to be able to do much like this, but at the very least I wasn't moving any farther from him.

"And what's lesson two? Don't play with the big boys until you're ready?" I asked, watching him.

The smile never left my face as I stared at him, my eyes glowing red. All around me the world still moved slower than expected. I was going to have a tough time with this guy. If I beat him it was going to be a miracle or possibly him throwing the fight. But from the looks of things he had me where he wanted me and I was at his mercy. If he was able to do this without batting an eye, then he was certainly able to kill me at any point he wanted. I was just hoping that there was a no killing policy.

PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 6:57 pm

Still confident enough to make remarks during battle, I might have to recruit this kid. That was, if the division didn't have their eyes on him yet. how interesting, eyes glowing red. It was an interesting question that he had posed, about the big boys. I had never stated that I was one of those classes of fighters. I actually preferred to not fight if possible, since it usually ended up ruining my clothes. I hoped that he could live up to the potential that I was currently holding. Standards were hard to reach, and easily disappointed in my eyes. Closing my eyes for a moment, I would in turn respond with my own form. The deep blue of my eyes would glow lightly as they sizzled with electricity. Sliding back a half step, my right arm would emerge and move upwards. With a sharp rotation, bones would crack before my arm shot out. Palm up, fingers curling in, a smile would form.

"Killer instinct is the only way to survive."

"Killer instinct is nothing without being tempered by skill. If you don't have what it takes to back up your instincts then you're not a very good killer." I said, glaring at my opponent.

This was going to be interesting. It was different, the sound of bones cracking, surprise on my face as I stared at him. But it vanished quickly as my resolve set in. I wasn't going to just let this go, I had to do something. I couldn't get closer, but at least I could get ready. Drawing my arms back my hands opened, my fingers arched like claws before I smirked.

Black fire burst to life in my hands, my body shaking as I drew more on the darkest depths of my very soul. It wasn't a powerful attack, hell it was probably only useful against humans. But I still had to try. bringing both hands together behind me, almost like I was protecting the black flame I waited for him to make his move.

"Don't take me lightly. I might not be at your level of strength, buddy boy, but I'm not like the rest of these people!" I declared as I watched him carefully.

"lightly?"

buddy boy? I didn't know whether to be amused, or insulted. I was not taking him lightly at all. I was simply gauging my enemy before engaging myself in combat. I had told him lesson one. Seemed like he hadn't really payed attention to it. Oh well, some lessons were best learned by experience, who in my honest opinion was the wisest albeit harshest teacher. Taking interest, I watched black fire emerge into his hands. Was he a fire wielder? Good thing I left my jacket up there in the box, last thing I needed was a burnt suit. Now that was something I would kill over.

My right hand would roll over, with one finger extending towards him. He made a move towards me, only right that I got a turn now. "Enlightenment of thunder and lightning... sonata." At the end my words, a blue spark would flash from my fingertip before a bolt of lightning emerged, screaming forward towards its target.

"AAAAH! FUCK!" I shout as I'm zapped.

It hurt, a hell of a lot more than that sucker punch did. Bracing myself I thrust my hands forward, the black flames between my palms exploding out toward him. It wasn't a very powerful technique, but still, it was something that very few people had been capable of doing. It was a weak technique, proving I had a hell of a long way to go, but then again, potential was often seen, but never realized. The red shift in my eyes flickers, the world returning to normal before flashing red once more.

Fire and lightning, something very fun, and akin to one another. Both were forms of energy being released, though the lightning was much more focused than the flames. Still, it didn't hurt that I was enjoying myself. It had been a while since I'd fought someone that could do that kind of harm to me.

"Direct approaches might not be the best methods. But who said anything about me being direct?" I asked, grinning at him gently.

That was the spirit I enjoyed. Even after getting bolted, he could send flames my way. Shifting my weight across, my fingers would extend before pressing them into the flames. The same thing that had happened before would happen. The flames, rolling across my body, would be ignored. They were hot, but not as hot as Larus's fire. I wonder if he wanted an apprentice or something, this kid could learn a lot from him. I was impressed that he could still stand after being struck by that bolt. He hadn't even tried to dodge or anything. With my palm facing the opponent, a similar incantation would be spoken. "Incantation of thunder and lightning, etude."

Instead of in my finger tips, a blue light would crackle from my palm. Five weak bolts would emerge before moving forward in a shotgun style effect.

My arms crossed over my chest when I saw the flicker of light. I didn't have time to dodge the attack but I could brace for it. All five of the bolts struck home, each and every one of them more an irritation than actual pain. With a grunt I shook my arms, my wrists flicking as I work the numbness out of them.

Growling I shot forward, my knee bending more than it should in my charge. At the last minute I kicked off the ground, my body turning in a circle as I brought my heel down toward him from above. It put me in a really vulnerable position, or at least it would have if I didn't know how to fly. As I came down I grinned, my wings of red energy flaring to life before I shot around behind him, my body turning again this time so my back was to him. Still hovering in the air I turned, aiming to donkey kick him in the back of the head.

Was the kid trying? I was rather confused to why all five would actually make contact. I had expected two, but not all of them. Maybe he was a rookie fighter who didn't know the concept of "dodge". Either way, he again stood forward. In an interesting change of events, it seemed like the kid was going to come for me. About time he made an offensive move. Watching him closely, I would not give a single piece of ground. With a bit of a surprise, red wings emerged. Not moving, I waited for him to strike me. Maybe he could get me to move an inch. The result would be a light crack from my neck before my head turned to the side.[toughness]. Completely ignoring the kick to the back of my head, I would carry on without worry. With my body facing directly away from him him, I would make eye contact momentarily, then transfer sight to his wings. How interesting they were.

"you can fly."

PostSubject: Re: Brawler's Alley(Antifreke)   Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) EmptySat Nov 27, 2010 8:19 pm

My wings vanished as I came to land, panting. My chest heaved quickly as I stood there, my back to my opponent before I put my hands up. My eyes close for a moment before I take a deep breath, and slowly let it out, to try and mitigate my breathing.

"I concede this fight.. At this rate I'll collapse from exhaustion before I put much of a dent in you." I said, smiling as I walked around in front of him. "What's your name, sir? At least give me that."

It's not hard to see he's much stronger than he looks. I'd hit him what what I'd had and I was already seeing darkness creep in around the edges of my vision. I wouldn't last a lot longer in this fight, so better to bow down to a superior fighter than to keep fighting for no reason. At least if I tried to put up a farce of surrender he might teach me.

Brawler's Alley(Antifreke) Sansantoo_01

Interesting. One of the key responsibilities of strength is to know your own limits. Turning my body around to face him, I ignored the cries for more from the crowd. it took a great deal of insight to back down. I knew I didn't look like much, however, that was because I looked human. Walking over to the side of the brawlers area, I would raise my right arm before pressing it forward. The amount of pressure resulting would send a large portion of the wall splintering into the crowd, finally silencing them. Now that I could hear myself thinking, business.

"I am the Director of the Venturion Academy. if you get tired of your normal high school, come check our our facility. We may have something to offer you, if you are up for the challenge."

Turning to the hole that had been created, Samantha was waiting with my jacket. A look of impatience was on her face. I guess I had taken too long. Didn't she mention ice cream or something earlier?

"I'll remember that Mr. Director." I say, watching him.

With a turn I sighed holding my chest. Whatever his lightning bolt had done it had a pretty lasting effect. With a light sigh I made my way out, surprised that I'd encountered someone that strong. Venturion Academy, huh? I could only imagine what would happen at that place. It certainly seemed interesting but for now I would have to withdraw and lick my wounds. At least for now. Once I get back to full strength I might have to arrange a tour of the academy. Who knows, there might be some interesting people there. If there were any more like him, then I certainly would.
