Kaz, the thing you're missing, probably because you don't have a gun, is that the current ruling isn't to subtract every bullet you shoot from your bio. The bullets you buy, last time I checked, refers to the amount of bullets you have per RP. So if you have 3 bullets, each RP you're in, your character can shoot up to three bullet. The same seemed to be the case with most items as was pointed out when DKC purchased 99 of a certain magical tag. Because of this, it seems most items have a 1 time charge; but a reoccurring charge on bullets and other items with an assumption that you would use them might be 'fairer.'

Tidbits for the OOC thread: Originally I really remember Shin mentioning that the site wasn't supposed to have 'ammunition' due to the futuristic theme, meaning all guns -should- be energy based. There was some gun loving nut who came in and put in the suggestion about caliber's and such, and Shin altered the gun make up slightly. That person never RP'd worth anything... or at least according to what I think I remember. The solution here would be to make all guns energy based, or make them have some type of reaction where they 'create' or 'generate' bullets automatically.

Expir should actually become a taint now.
Since taints are non magical by description, they should not warrant any spiritual or enhanced abilities other than what is in the taint package.
Soullines should be handled on a case by case basis dependent on if that soulline 'unlocks' spiritual powers within the human (i.e. Spir'ty Soulline).

Just got back home, so I'm responding now... I would honestly disagree with this line of thought. Expir should remain a possession b/c a Hito Expir or a Kami Expir seems a bit over the top. It gives a futuristic possibility to the human class/race that shouldn't be watered down to taint status. Besides, this would open the door for several possessions being reclassified to taints or soullines.

Ok just a recommendation on this tech:
Hidden Strike
A striking technique performed so quickly that a normal opponent shouldn't be able to see it with the normal eye.
Effect: damage is based on style damage, drain based on damage, striking speed = Ascended


While its a sound tech, what if you are already moving at ascended speed? Cant it instead be (Striking speed = attribute speed +1)

Channeling
Perhaps there needs to be a calibration for channeling times. Basically as you get stronger, you should (imho) be able to channel energy faster than someone weaker than you. Also, you should be able to get spells off (in relativity of course) quicker than someone weaker than you. Believe it or not, I got this concept from your fair attack system.

Ex: Pillar (Asc) vs. Base Spirit (Avg). How is it that it takes someone with Ascended magix abilities the same amount of time to harness the energy to do Dark Skies as it does the person with Avg magix capabilities?

The Calibration: -2 secs for every level you are over the drain.

Destructive/Fierce Area Non-Attacks/Defensive spells
Remove or reduce the channel time.
Reason: If magic moves at a rate of Strong. I will assume that it will cross 100 meters in less than 10 seconds, so if someone fires off a destructive level attack and you try to defend, you will never have enough time making the only true defenses to Destructive or Fierce+ area attacks to try and evade (which can lead to a lot of BS escapes) or take the hit (try using (M)Toughness) or using a pre-erected barrier that will only soak up part of the damage.

Passive Abilities
Clearer explanation on the content site about how they work (like the whole u have to roll for them) and a designation on ambiguous abilities about what category they fall under for the purpose of rolling effects.
Reason: I've always viewed Juggernaut as more of a status effect/mode, since you get this effect for a set period of time, but it's actually an Activation ability.

Natural Resistance to Status Effects
The Pillars seem to have this since they are stronger (I'm assuming this is the reason) so it would make sense that this apply across the board. Especially since the means to "buff yourself" up to their levels requires another character (or yes, a storyline char) and even then it is generally pretty limited in terms of time limit (normal max is 5 posts), but yeah... since you typically can't see a status effect spell, it will connect and there's currently no way to try to fight/overpower its effect on you outside of having a Hogosha custom that makes all your puny mortal/weak immortal powers fail.
