It had been sometime since he had seen growth in the area, his only recollection of it having been when he was a human and he had witnessed the very events that made it dead as it was. The clearing which was once filled with dry, brown vegetation that crumbled away with any amount of attention had been plowed away at by he himself. It took some work, but the oni was intent on getting his own plantation in the works, especially since Grunty had once commented on the potentiality this spot held.
The soil was upturned in every spot and dirt was scattered, but this was the first process of making the land suitable for the seeds he would be planting here. From the supply that he had stolen from his once-steady dealers, he had managed enough seeds that should be able to span across the entirety of the field. Then he wouldn't have to worry about being the middle man any longer in his transactions, but would be both supplier and seller. Pure profit sounded a lot better than just evening out, and this way he'd have what would seem a bottomless stash for he himself.
Shou set the two large bags of the compressed buds on the ground beside him. Planting would have gotten him ahead of himself at this point, sine the land would need some time to heal. Sighing lightly and glancing up to the sky, as spring was coming more into fruition the growing seaso would have been better. His only concern was protecting the field, as the Deep was never known for being a quiet place.

Tear Away (Iwamaru) Iwapost
There was a sudden break in the silence, to which the cause was quite obvious as something came crashing in to the clearing from out of the blue. Dragging across the ground in jumbled mess was the form of a man, and the impact and way in which he hit would make it as if there was no way in hell anything could have survived. However, in a last ditch effort to make his landing not to poor, he sprung himself into a flip and on to his feet, sliding across the earth and bringing his weight to one leg, attempting to anchor himself. For the most part, it had worked, though Maru had no idea how close he had come to slamming into the stranger in the clearing until he had taken a chance to open his eyes. Note to self. Flying with your eyes closed is not a bright idea.

As his two very different colored spheres came to adjust to the sudden change in light, he took notice of the man only a few meters from the landing point. Surely, he had not expected there to be other beings within the area, to which he was somewhat surprised. It then hit him of his entrance, which was neither smooth nor stealthy in any way. He blinked once, straightening himself slightly and brought his hands in to the pockets of his red leather coat. The only word to escape his lips was a simple "Yo."

Way to go, shithead. If somebody ever needs a tip on how to get themselves killed, they can check with you first. Maru's eyes rolled at the comment that echoed from within his own head, then looked left and right as if somebody else were speaking to him. Obviously, they were the only two people in the area.

The demon had turned away to leave the area for the moment before the sudden, and rather clumsy looking, arrival of another spirit came crashing through as if it were some flight attempt going terribly haywire. Shou considered himself lucky enough to not have been in the path of that reckless movement, as he had certainly felt the gust of wind that had blown passed him along with the body of the other. Hell, taking a hit from a human projectile at those kinds of speeds wouldn't have been anyone's cup of tea.
Yo? "Uh.." Shou didn't know what to make of it, this sudden appearance and greeting, but it wouldn't have been the first time he'd met another spirit within the Deep. Those conditions were usually within the heat of battle, though, and the one before him didn't seem all that threatening. "Hey." The oni offered, while noting the shift in the man's gaze going left to right. Shou followed those sights, though he didn't catch anything of interest. "..what are you doing?"

Tear Away (Iwamaru) Iwapost
He removed one hand from out of his coat and scratched at his head slightly, thinking over that question as best he could. The simple answer was a bit silly, unless this man was referring to the voice in his head. Perhaps he could hear it too?

"Well, I was actually attempting to fly, but my buddy Greed decided it would be amusing to distract me with an off joke about a woman with three nipples. After that, it all went down hill. By the way, do you hear that buzzing noise?"

The noise he had been referring to was actually the electromagnetic current that ran through his body, as this was his elemental affinity. For a good while he kept hearing the noise in his head, though there was no possible way another person could hear it. Taking his hand back a moment, he gave a light punch to his temple in an attempt to make it stop, though this only resulted in a stagger back as he almost knocked himself out. Releasing a light sigh after his fourth failed attempt to stop the sound today, he looked back to the stranger.

"Mind me asking what you might be doing out here with a bunch of random sacks of... what the hell is that, anyway? You aren't burying a body out here, are you?"

This man had a friend with him? Shou's crimson eyes darted around the area, but the spirit before him seemed alone and without company. Great. That meant he found yet another lunatic who spoke to himself, or whatever the hell it was that resided within that disturbed mind. At least he didn't seem as violent or as impulsive as Lance.. at least not at that his point. He would ignore those statements, never one to point out a person's clear faults and the very apparent signs of what could have been a severe case of insanity.
"Hm? Heh." The demon chuckled lightly at the comment of him hiding bodies out in the forest. If the other would take a closer look, he would have noticed that the answer he had provided was way off the mark, as marijuana were the contents of those large sacks. "I'm setting up a field here right now.. although, seeing someone suddenly fall from the sky's a little interesting. I'm Boruha Takashou."

Tear Away (Iwamaru) Iwapost
Fall out of the sky? He had completely forgotten about the failed attempt at flight, as if that event had never even occurred. Twisting his head in confusion, he decided to let the remark go. Then came a name to the stranger, to which he was pretty sure that somewhat was meant to be said in return. How did it go again? Oh, yeah.

"They call me Kageshin Iwamaru, I think. Or Maru for short, if that name is too long to remember. I know I have another name, too. Not sure what that one was, though. Anyway, pleasure to meet you, erm, Mind if I call you Shou? Long names get too complicated with me. I'd introduce you to my friend, Greed, but I can't seem to find him. Always hear him talking, but I've never seen him. Oh well."

He spoke at a mile a minute, as if he was trying to spit it all out at once. Of course, this was just how his mind worked, often changing quickly, giving him no time to think over what he was saying. Walking over to the large bags of seed, he poked out with his index finger. His sense of smell was still fairly decent, a trait he had kept from his previous animal form, but the aroma that was released from this type of seed was unfamiliar to him. Being locked away for so many centuries, he had little to no contact with drugs such as these. He continued to poke at the bags, appearing like a small child amused with the simplest of things.

The other would mention another friend of his, but the hearing further detail about this 'Greed', Shou could see that the man was indeed one of those lunatics who spoke to the voices wihin their heads. This one was different, though, acting far more like a child than the adult form that he possessed. "Iwamaru, was it?" Shou questioned, those crimson eyes following his movements as he inspected the bags at the oni's side. He would have been irritated by the fact that this stranger was snooping through his supply, but those crimson eyes simply glanced away, pretending he hadn't seen such a thing. Normally when another spirit intruded on his territory here, he would either kill them or chase them off, but this one didn't seem any threat.
"Yeah. Shou's fine." The oni replied. It wouldn't have been the first time the nickname had been used. As a matter of fact, he had to wonder if there was anyone who referred to him as Takashou.

While inspecting the man's belongs, a slight spark jolted across Maru's body. The sudden tingling feeling paralyzed him, and he seemed to shut down completely. Trying to move his body, he struggled against this hostile take over, but it was impossible to push the intruder out. You are wasting too much time with this dude. You know what, let me take over from here.

"Hey, wait a moment Gr-"

Maru's body gave a slight jerk, and almost instantly his personality seemed to change. Rolling his neck from left to right, the demon stood slowly to face Shou, both eyes now a crimson hue. That was always the way to tell the difference between who was currently in control, his eye color. Stretching out his arms slightly, Greed had forgotten how long it had been since he last had control over this demon's body, still not quite use to this joint union.

"You will have to excuse me for earlier, It seems there certain aspects of my personality are hard to keep in check," bringing his hands back in to the jacket pockets, he looked around the clearing. Not the best of places to get caught up in a fight, and with Maru still lacking the desire to improve his strength, Greed was best to be cautious and not get in to a fight. Though, even he had to admit the idea of brawling with another demon like himself would be quite interesting. Still, there were more pressing matters to deal with at the moment.

"Shou, I think it was, right? Tell me, how does one get out of this place? I've been wandering around this place for a good few days now, and It seems like a maze to me..."

Why was it that everyone seemed to be crazy these days? Shou had to wonder exactly what sort of world Grunty had brought him into when he had ascended to come into his human form. Life had been a whole lot simpler when he was simply the territorial lion that battled any who tredded within his land. Then it was just one battle after another, and the fights had done well to hone his skills although he had been a yokai at that point of time.
The other seemed to spasm for a brief moment, nearly believing that he would have struck out with such movements, though it merely appeared there was some sort of.. personality shift. The man offered his reasoning, though, and Shou merely shrugged. It wasn't the first time he dealt with the insane.
"You don't know how to get to the city?" The oni asked, chuckling lightly. "Well.. can you at least fly? If you can manage that, you can see the buildings of Sai City from here. That'll be your way out of the forest."

Tear Away (Iwamaru) Iwapost
"Ah, flying... Right."

That had seemed a simple enough answer, though the actual concept was easier said than done. As proved by the last attempt at this, he had yet to become use to this new body of his, nor the mind he shared it with. Looking up to the sky, he thought for a moment. "Sai City. I must assume that this is a human city, of course. That would prove another problem, as I have yet to get myself around the concept of manifesting myself in a way that would prove useful within such a place. You could say the last few weeks have been quite... unusual."

Turning his back to Shou, he continued to gaze outwards into what seemed like nothing. It was true that he longed for the city life. Women. Booze. Money. All the things that his nature as a demon of sin would call him to. Of course, one must be able to actually grasp such objects before they could become his. Letting out a soft sigh of agitation, he kicked a rock from the ground, watching it fly off into the distance and fading from sight. He then turned back to his fellow oni, eyes flickering with a sort of mischievous flare.

"Tell me, do you know of any good places within the city to get a little fun?"

So the oni seemed capable of flight. That much was proven when he took off into the sky, and Shou grinned when the question came to him. Kicking off the ground himself, he landed atop a disc of flame that would carry him to the altitude of the other, levitating into the air that provided them a better sight of the buildings in the distance. "Oh, there's every sort of fun a demon could look for there." Shou stated, "Though, Onitoshi's city is more promising.. I've heard. This one's satisfying enough with what they got, though. Night time, anyways. The day's always stale." Shou nodded, "I reccommend keeping a low-profile, though. Go around causing chaos and surely the police'll come around trying to kill us." Shrugging, he looked to the other spirit. "I'm interested though.. are you strong?" His grin only widened, always entertained by a good battle. It was difficult finding a formiddable human as an opponent, but other spirits usually provided a fight.
