This Love This Hate (Atilla)

Shou regarded the woman with a turn of his head, before returning his gaze back to the woods. A smirk came into place as he spoke, "Not lately. I might have gotten a little out of touch. Thats not gonna stop me from kicking some ass tonight, though." He stated with a following snicker. Recalling the last time the kami had come into the forest, he couldn't help but ask her, "You sure you wanna tag along for this? I suppose you'd be pretty good bait." The demon teased, before drawing Mabushiiken from its sheath on his belt. The oni figured he should get some practice with the weapon, as he wouldn't have minded regaining those long forgotten skills.

He chuckled at her remark, privately disagreeing. Shou wasn't aware of any nearby threats, not possessing any type of sensing ability himself. Glancing to the woman he noticed the tenseness of her stance and rose a brow. Perhaps she was just nervous of the upcoming combat that was sure to come. "You ready?" Shou would ask to draw her attention, before beginning forward into the trees, allowing the shades of leaves to block out the moonlight as he entered the darkness of the Western Forest.

Her question brought up an image of a dark-haired spirit, one who controlled the flames as he but with much more intensity. On each occassion that he had faced that said spirit, he had been easily outclassed, toyed with even. It would have been a blunt lie to tell her that was no danger in this place, but that wasn't saying the oni was a liar. Still, with her, he could set aside his pride. "There's a lot of demons stronger than me here. But that shouldn't be any problem with you by my side, right? " Shou questioned, glancing over his shoulder to the woman with a confident grin. Her supporting powers had helped him in the past before, having access to her healing abilities and the power enhancements she was capable of granting him. With her, he felt almost as if he could take on anything.

Shou regarded her with another turn of his head, noting the sudden tired motions that she displayed. In a rare act of concern, he asked, "You okay?" He had never been aware of the toll that the woman brought on herself when she casted whatever spell she did, not knowledgeable in the sorceries of the white magic.

Deeper down into the woods, an ogre trudged forward to a fallen spirit in the form of a dying raccoon. The muscled beast reached down and gripped the thing by its head while stomping his foot down onto its body, tearing away its neck from its shoulders, enacting an instant kill. It lifted the head up to its own face and opened its mouth to uncanny widths to engulf it, a set of jagged teeth crunching down onto the skull before devouring the thing. "Ninenty-eight.." The ogre grumbled lightly, turning to face the other that accompanied him. Blood ran freely from its torn lips, spitting out some fur between them. "Thats ninety-eight.." It would say once more. The demon was purple in color, its form toned to boast incredible strengths. A loose pair of ragged sweats seemed to be its only form of clothing, its feet roughened from its traveling through the woods. Thick white hair fell down passed its enormous shoulders, and its eyes emitted a velvet glow. Their night wasn't finished yet, though. Tonight, he would find his one hundrendth victim.

Shou turned towards the woman just as she had transformed into her animal form, his eyes casting downwards to the rat. "Eh? You really getting all nervous, huh?" The oni glanced deeper into the woods. "I guess I can't blame ya. You had it pretty rough last time you were around here, didn't ya?" He figured that must have been the case of her strange paranoia. Other than that, Shou didn't feel anything out of the ordinary in the air. Vision wasn't as best as it could have been, but that wouldn't have mattered once his flames graced the area. With his grip on the hilt of his blade tightening, he addressed the kami once more. "If you feel like turning back, I ain't gonna make you come with me. But I need to left off some steam, so I'm gonna keep going." Shou stated, moving forward yet again.

The ogre took powerful sniffs of the air, searching for the closest spirit. A scent came to him, nearer towards the edge of the forest. The woods were quiet as he began to trudge forward once more.

It surprised the oni a little that she had actually chosen to leave, thinking she might have at least had the guts to suck the fear up and push forward. He simply shook his head as he would have lost interest in her for the remainder of the night as she chickened out, crimson orbs remaining ahead rather than addressing the angel as she departed. He might have been able to take a few steps forward before he heard the scream of the mouse, raising a brow as he halted and turned in the direction she had headed off. A grin spread across his face then. "Perfect bait." Shou had to speculate. The mouse came from the other side of the bushes, the oni casually stepping forward towards her before a much larger figure came out of the darkness it had been shrouded by. The oni's eyes widened slightly, before he moved forward more swiftly and snatched the mouse from the ground, whirling out of the way of a descended hammer fist that blasted into the dirt and left a neatly sized dent upon the earth.
The oni backed away from the large demon to better assess it, while resting the mouse kami ontop of his shoulder. The ogre turned away from the damage he had made, facing the two other spirits as he dusted off some grass and dirt that had been kicked up onto its form. "Ninety-nine.. one hundred." It growled outwards, eyes moving from the mouse kami then to the oni. "You two will make it one hundred."
"Heheh.. looks like we've found someone strong to fight, eh, Atilla?"

"Great news." Shou stated, feeling yet another boost in his own strengths that the kami bestowed on him. "Here we go!" Shou shouted out, whipping the katana to his side before dashing forward with swift motion. Mabushiiken thrusted outwards in front of him and pressed against the rough purple flesh, sinking in a few inches before halting to a stop. The oni blinked. "Eh..?" He glanced up to the ogre to see if there had been any sort of response that confirmed this hit, and the demon he faced had only winced in mediocre pain. It then rose one of its giant fist into the air, as if to swat at the fyre oni. "Keh!" Shou drew the katana back to his side, raising his free hand in the air before him as his palm intercepted the blow just in time to catch it. His boost in strengths allowed him to block this attack, though the pressure from it pressed his feet firmly into the dirt. Giant fingers wrapped around him, to Shou's surprise, by the ogre's free hand as the beast chuckled. "Strong.. but not enough."
"Hey hey!" Shou protested, flailing in the grip as he was raised, before he was tossed with immense forces, his head blasting through the bark of a tree as the structure was easily splitted in half, the upper portion slamming into the ground. The oni flipped through the air before he could repeat that action, a disc of flame catching him. "Fuck!" He would shout out, both hands reaching up to the growing sore of his head. "That fuckin' hurt! Aahhh!" Shou growled as he threw his hands back down, shooting a glare in the direction of the ogre. "This bastard.. I'm gonna have to hurt him a lot." The ogre continued to move forward, swiping his arm to the side as his bicep split another tree in half, a gesture that only seemed for the effect to frighten.

A single eye of his involuntarily twitched at the suggestion she issued, before mumbling, "Lets not.." The oni drew Mabushiiken forward once more. "Infernal flames! Sharpen your form!" Fire exploded into being around him, lashing out as they began to contain within themselves, coming into the shape of five flaming scimitars that encircled his form. They then shot out towards the ogre, one after another, each of them aiming to strike a different part of the demon's body. His opponent bent at the knee before suddenly shooting upward into the air, the sound of rustling leaves and the snap of a branch following. "Shit! Fast, too?" So far this ogre hadn't demonstrated any knowledge of magical abilities, or even particularly skilled physical ones. He was in every sense a powerhouse.
The blades of fyre struck against two trees, setting them aflame. Shou figured the ogre may have taken flight as the demon was out of his vision now that the leaves served to hide it. He kicked off the ground and began to ascend before his eyes widened at the sight of oncoming feet. "Shit!" He managed to fling Atilla off of him, though an evasion would have required more movement and more time. The large feet struck down hard, one against the top of his head once more and another on his shoulder. Shou cried out in pain once more as his body slammed into the forest ground, the rubble and smoke of dirt shooting up from the area of impact.
The oni seemed to say something and the ogre glanced down to the fallen other, before a wave of energy suddenly engulfed its being, bringing about an intense heat as well. The purple demon growled at the paining burns of the attack as it lifted him off of Shou and back some feet. The fyre demon pushed off the ground with his hands, panting lightly, as a weak smirk came into place. His hair fell wildly around him, his shirt's fabric had torn at the shoulder and showed various spots of dirt now. "Heheh.. never faced someone like this before." The oni stated, his tongue running over as he licked his lips. "How exciting!"

The ogre casted a lame glance to the mouse that headbutted at its shin, watching the thing tumble away from the force. Her plan to serve as a distraction worked for the most part, but Shou didn't take the opening. Instead, he drew the other's attention, oblivious to the mechanics of working as a team. "Heh. Its been a while since I've gotten to have a real good fight. And that big form of yours.. perfect to roast!" The oni shouted, a wild grin spreading across his lips as he waved his arms out into the air around him, flames erupting from the limbs as it began to surround his form. "Heheh! Its moments like these when I can really let myself go!" The fire came to engulf his entire form, the ogre tilting its head slightly to the side to witness this flaring spectacle. A low growl seemed to emit over the roars of the fire, before it began to whirl away up into the sky, wisping into nothingness in the air. Shou had transformed under the veil of fire, though, bearing the traits of a beast crossed within his human form.
Taking a single step forward, the grin on his face came to be complimented by the feral look that had come into his eyes. The next step was a stomp that brought a pillar of flame shooting up into the sky, carelessly emitting the raging flames that roared within him now. "Needless to say, you're no match for me now.. eheh. Infernal flames! Forth and consume!" The oni exclaimed, spewing forward from his mouth a line of fire that shot into the ground just before him, suddenly traveling from the spot and moving to the other with intense speeds. The ogre bent at the knees, intending to leap once more, but his surroundings were suddenly blocked away as a dome of fire rushed all around him. "Bastard.." The thing muttered, before the fire crashed into his form, barely bringing his arms up in front of him in time to protect the majority of his body.
The flames hadn't been the only strike though, Shou suddenly blasting forward from his spot with uncanny speeds, upon the other within the instant. Mabushiiken flashed forward several times, the tip of the katana stabbing forward to the brute's resilent body, though wounds did appear as little dabbles of blood would come forth. The ogre growled at the needle-like pain, drawing its arm back to swat at the oni before him. Shou registered the move within his mind quickly, and a kick that was backed with all of his strength struck the ogre by the knee, sending him off of his feet and off of balance.
While the creature was still airborne, he snickered, drawing his free hand back and sending a devastating blow with his knuckles into the ogre's stomach. It sent the other oni back, blasting through a series of trees before its progress through the air eventually came to a halt with a large thud on the ground.
"Kyahahaha! There isn't a damn thing in this world I can't beat!" The oni declared smugly, lowering his arm. "Come! You're still due for more hurt!"

The ogre grumbled to itself under its breath as it came to stand back up to its feet. It glanced down to its chest and wiped away at the blood that had begun to trickle down its toned form. Its eyes then took sight of the path of destroyed trees its flight had caused.
Shou blinked, raising a brow at the mist that seemed to fill the air suddenly, then pass only brief moments later. "Heh. You getting excited too?" The oni snickered, looking to the row of splitted trees that became caught in the moonlight, catching the view of the ogre headed his way once more, unrelenting and unwilling to abandon its target. "I'll have it tonight.." The ogre grumbled loudly, Shou snickering. "You like being my punching bag, eh?" The purple skinned demon paused momentarily, before flexing its muscles forward. "Souls.. join me in battle." Its back suddenly began to pop out backwards, claws tearing through its flesh as the five torsos of what looked like gargoyles pulled themselves out, attached to the flesh at the waist. "Heheh.. neat trick." The oni glanced to the side, towards Atilla. "You should use that excitement and get a piece of this action. You're pretty strong when you try.. yeah?" Shou snickered, before shooting forward once more towards the ogre.

As soon as Shou drew near to the ogre, his eyes widened at the sudden claws that swept out to attack him once the beast had turned its back. He threw Mabushiiken into his defense, managing a few blocks from the attacks though overwhelmed. The oni was pushed back, supporting the movement as a disc of flame burst under one foot and he slid backwards aerially. "Damnit. Still clumsy.." Shou growled, before the wind against his clothes suddenly picked up, accented by the various amount of bloody flaps his torn shirt now possessed. It only grew stronger, as Shou winced as his body was pushed back slightly by the force, before regaining more stable composure. "Eh? Atilla?" The oni questioned, glancing over his shoulder to the mouse that seemed to be the source of the technique. A grin spread out across his face, "That's more like it!" He kicked off the ground as fire flared out from under his feet, producing a disc of flame his shoes landed safely on.
Suddenly the race is on. The participants lined up at the start are Shou and the nameless purple ogre. Twenty yards didn't seem too long of a goal, but when the track was a forest full of trees under heavy attack by wind forces that snapped at the woods, things became more interesting. "Go!" A nearby man in a jogger's outfit announces, blowing a horn as well before pocketing the instrument and going about his jogging. Shou shot forward first, all ready upon his disc of flame while the ogre seemed limited to running forward. The oni ducked under an oncoming thick branch that headed his way, glancing back to see as the ogre threw its arms up in defense, the wood snapping away once it came into contact with the thick muscle as it continued running forward. "Heheh. Infernal flames! Sharpen your form!" The oni casted five blades of fyre, shooting them as they all exploded against the blocking ogre once more. "Quit it.." The thing would grumble. Shou chuckled, before winds suddenly picked around them that made the two slow in their progress. The ogre was reduced to trudgings once more, and the oni hadn't felt much progress in the distance he was covering. A series of branches flew in his direction, managing minimal movements with the disc, though enough to evade the flying wood. "Infernal flames! Spread your fire!" A mini red cloud bursted above where the ogre stood and rained fire down on him for a moment. "Quit it.." The ogre grumbled once more, its voice rising. "Infernal flames! Rise and swirl!" Flames whisped around the ogre's feet before shooting up around it. The monster inside it was shaking with rage as it balled its fists up. "Quit it!" The ogre shouted, shooting forward through the fire to suddenly grab Shou by the shoulders and began to roughly shake him. "Infernal flames! Infernal flames! I'm tired about hearing about the infernal flames.." The purple beast then backhanded a stunned Shou, before both parties blinked, forgetting their surroundings as a large tree suddenly whipped around and slammed into both of them, sending them through the air and landing them flat on the ground just before the mouse kami, Atilla.

The oni's body twitched underneath the weight of the tree on them, the ogre itself muffling from underneath the feet planted down onto his face, his eyes reduced to the swirling lines of a conscious challenged individual. Shou carried the same eyes, a smile on his face as he chuckled lightly, outright stunned by the fierceness of such an attack. When the kami started crying, he blinked his crimson orbs back into focus. "Heheh..! Good work, Atilla. You can quit that crying." Shou stated out loud, the dumbfounded smile turning into a smirk as the branch blasted off his form by a wisp of flame. The oni came to stand back up to his feet, rather bruised up by the intensity of that storm as he looked down to the ogre. The beast's arms were bloodied by this point, something the oni had overlooked, and his skin was burned in several places. It seemed finished as its comical body reduced to an unconscious still one. "Well. That was pretty fun." The oni remarked, grinning.

The oni blinked down to the rat that latched itself onto his chest, wincing lightly before she took on a form that was much warmer against him. He began to revert back from his demon shape, since it seemed the transformation was no longer neccessary. The giant sabre fangs reduced into his only unusually sharp canines, the spikes of his mane coming to fall down into the long strands of red hair that fell around him on his shoulders and down his back. "Hmm.. hungry, huh?" The oni snickered as he ran his hands down the kami's sides before resting them at the hips, leaning down closer to her. "Ain't you still excited?"

"There's a difference?" Shou would ask idolly with a risen eyebrow, before she confessed a little bit about herself. His brow rose as he regarded the woman a brief moment. "You were a devil?" Wasn't she an angel though? It was a likely enough transformation from being a kami corrupted into oni, but Shou didn't think there was ever a case of a demon repenting to become an angel. The path of chaos hardly allowed it. "Bullshit. You're too pure of a spirit and goodly to have been a devil. Ha, I can't picture that at all." The oni closed his eyes, simply snickering. "Good one, though."

"Don't make it a big deal." Shou would say, chuckling lightly as he leaned forward and gave her a gentle kiss to the forehead. "You shouldn't worry about those kinds of things in the first place. Just be who you are, Atilla."

"Ara ara.. its no problem." Shou stated, a brow rose with a delighted smirk in place as the back of his hand had received a kiss. He almost felt like some lord, then, laughing aloud at the notion. The lord of flame, surely. The moment seemed to have been there where perhaps his advances wouldn't be for naught. Still, he would have liked to draw out the demon within this woman over some time, rather enjoying who she was. A fascination with innocence, unfortunately, was a temporary thing. Turning away from her, he threw his glance over his shoulder. "Should we find more demons tonight?"

She sure had changed quickly after Shou had spoken to be herself. The oni reconsidered looking for another demon, as this kami seemed different from before and more than likely suitable to be a worthy opponent. Shou chuckled as he didn't move from the spot, Atilla moving ahead of him a bit. "Maybe we won't have to. This right here will do fine." The oni remarked, his crimson orbs flaring as they set themselves onto the kami. A wide grin spread out across his lips as fire seemed to flare around his form. "How about it, Atilla? Are ya getting excited enough for it?"

"All right!" The oni shouted, his hand quickly moving to sheath Mabushiiken who had remained in his grasp to this point. While the weapon was preferable against other oni, he wouldn't turn it against the angel. Besides, she was more deserving of that. He'd learned last time that when he fought her he really could go all out. "No point in wasting my time trying to practice on old tricks.. heheh. I got new ones. Infernal flames! Sharpen your form!" The oni took a step back and swiped his arm through the air before him, fires blasting off the limb as they sharpened into the shapes of scimitars. Five of them rowed up in a curved line pointed towards the woman, assuming they might have stopped the path of the orb. Instead the thing came and sank into his body before making his torso glow. The oni blinked, then spat to the side to disregard it with a grin as the five fire swords shot forward to her position.

The crimson orbs took in the sight of the woman's transforming body after the flames had passed. He snickered, "Infernal flames!" The oni thrusted his arm outwards as a red orb flared out into being just before him, growing in size and intensity. "Gather and strike!" It continued to rage outwards before shooting forward from his arm, curving towards the ground to the rodent. "What are you planning on doing as a little mouse, eh? I might accidentally stomp you."

The oni blinked as a column of light suddenly washed up into him from beneath him, feeling a brief force lifting him up before fading. "Eh..?" That had been the second time this rat fired off an ability and it had turned out to be some sort of dud. There weren't any physical pains to it whatsoever. Testing his strength, it hadn't seemed to deter any since the movements had been pulled off, and his health seemed fine. "Heheh.. looks like you need more practice." Shou remarked, smirking. "Infernal flames! Forth and destroy!" The oni stomped on the ground as a line of molten fire traveled forth. He raised his eyebrow as soon as the technique had been made, feeling strange about it. It seemed as if some of his power that he generated into the techniques had been cut away and blocked from being used here. The fyreblitz that traveled forward felt half-assed at the least, as it pitifully struck at the woman from a dome of weak flames.

Shou's eyes widened briefly at the speed the pesky rat seemed to have, barely managing to throw his arms up in his defense before the rodent was on him. Claws and fangs dug into his flesh, causing him to wince from the pain as blood ran freely down his wounds. He attempted to throw the rodent kami off of him by uncrossing his arms swiftly back down to his sides while taking a step back, looking to rip and tear his flesh free with the movement as he lifted up his other foot and struck out towards the rat with a kick.

The oni's foot slammed down onto the ground as he glared forward towards the kami, his vision tunneling slightly as he noticed the blood loss to be a little higher than ordinary. From here, he could make out wordless chants, as sound became a little harder to concentrate upon. Instead, he focused on the raging fires of his spirit. "Infernal flames! Spread your unrelenting chaos!" The oni shouted, red rings beginning to spread out from his form and glow along the ground, spanning out to form a large vicinity. It would no longer matter if the winds were picking up in intensities, or if branches were beginning to whip around the air around him. "Burn it all!" Shou shouted, as hell fire bursted forward to consume the area and all that was around him. Trees would have been halted in their progress through the air, burnt asunder, as the flames of hell consumed at the winds themselves, feasting off the currents to grow stronger and larger. The oni's eyes seemed to burn with a fire that reflected the chaos around him, having pulled his strongest technique against Atilla.
