Evening at the Pier

Kuchiki Ketsuki // "...Whatever..."

The older teen released a sigh as he said to himself, under his breath, "After that Ovan character, I wonder who else I'll meet today..." Ovan was in Det'Hai still, but Ketsuki had extracted a promise that Ovan would leave him alone for a short while, a few days in the least. His dark navy eyes looked out and into the horizon as he sat on the end of a pier who's boat had left not too long ago. He was interested in what lay beyond Evernia, however, it was time for him to be more serious, after seeing Ovan slaughter all those fake ghost pirates. His sword was in his lap, but other then that, he was just relaxing. If Ovan would suddenly appear after making that promise, the black haired Wevit would be annoyed beyond the normal kind. Ovan was such a strange character that if anyone else new anything about Ovan, he would not accept the information. He wanted to find everything he could about Ovan, but he wanted to do it on his own.

I was given order to patroll the pier by my superior cause there's been reports of bandits taking the navy's rum. I was somewhat not happy to get the job but I needed the extra money and figure I could find a good fisherman whom would sale me some fish for a cheap price. Upon walking i notice a young boy (Kuchiki) sitting and so I decide to walk over to him and mess with him for I was bored. Once i reach the young boy I yelled out "So you be taken the navy's rum!" i notice the sword on his lap and then looked back at his face waiting for his reaction.

It had been a while since anyone had approached him, he still had a few blows that left scars from the battle against the ghost ship crew. He turned his head as he heard someone yell that he had stole rum, which was the dumbest thing he had ever heard. Taking the sheath with the sword still instead, he used it to help himself up as he said to her, looking at her directly, "Steal rum? What the hell would I want rum for?" Now, if what he was looking for was more like a rice wine, then he might try and get some, but rum was not something he would go lengths to get. He looked her up and down and concluded, "You must be patrolling the area, or you would have attacked first and asked questions later." He had done jobs like this before. He released a sigh and then offered, "If you'd like, I'll go with you."

I didn't really notice the scars on the young boy body untill he got up and ask the question why he would still rum "Cause Rum is good that's why!" I yelled out as I place my right hand on my hilt of my bloodblade but then I ease my hands away hearing the young fella saying he'd go with me "So you didn't take the rum? hmm" I being to rub my chin as I look the young fella up and down "very well then. If you didn't take it, maybe you can help me out." I walked up to the young boy looking at the sword in his lap "from the looks of it, you either good with the sword or just someone who been whoop alot. so which one is it?"

The woman replied that rum was good, which was her personal opinion, he thought it was nasty. She then started to walk towards him, though he wasn't just sitting on the end of the dock anymore, so she she end up walking maybe a few steps, with the sword in his belt. The boy then listened to her continued rant, which ended with her asking if he was good with the sword or was it simply for display. The Wevit smiled slightly as he brought up one arm and put his index finger up, waggling it as he said, "I don't tell people about my skill, but I finished defending a ship against pirates yesterday. I'll let you decide." He didn't know who she thought she was, why should the male even tell her about his skills with a blade?

It would seem the young boy had some balls as he being to point his index finger upward and begin talking about how he had just took out some pirates "Is that so?" I would take a step closer to the male wevit and take a swap at his pointing finger with my left hand while bringing my right hand toward the butt end of his sword while it was still sheath "Hmmm maybe this could be fun after all." I begin to bring my left hand back close to my body after the swapping getting ready to counter any sudden attack the young boy had up his sleeves "So what's your name? I mean I might accidently cut you up and well... Nobody want to be bury in a unnamed grave." Of course I was just joking as I being to let out a small giggle after talking.

Of course Ketsuki wasn't stupid enough to just stand there and let her touch him or his weapon with simple movements like that as he made a slight turn as he pulled the hand with the finger pointed up and placed that at the balance point of his katana as to keep the woman from touching it as he said, "Name? We'll leave that to Kuchiki. And what is yours? O fair one." His eyes showed that he wasn't afraid to defend himself if he needed to. He normally didn't fight girls, but if she was going to get aggressive, then he wasn't going to just stand there and be quiet.

Ooc: Yeah, thats what I found a bit dissapointing about it too, but at least it's finally changed the system to be more unique. Tho it's hard to get some of those missions

Hmm so it would seem the young boy was agile enough to evade my weak attacks and then he asked me my name "Well it's..." Before I knew it one of my soldier yelled out from the distance telling me they have the rum's thief traped in one of the ships below. I gave a sigh looking over at the soldiers in the distance and then looked back at the young boy "What to do?" i took a second to think and then I yelled over to the soldier "take care of it on your own!" I then looked back at the young boy "Now where was we? oh yea. you wanted to know my name. It's Angel." I then took a step back while placing my right hand on the hilt of my blade getting ready to draw it out "Now tell me or you with the Imperial army or against it?" one way or another I wanted to test this young boy swordmanship skill and see if he was worty.
