Ghost Ship Ahoy! [Solo] 08copy

Ketsuki was hired as a hand to guard a ship going out to sea. He wondered why he had accepted in the first place when he really never liked the sea, but he supposed that battling at the high sea, a story that he had heard from his father, was something that he wanted to see for his own, maybe even experience. He shrugged as he rose Amari through the streets, silent as the war horse trotted along the cobbled streets. He stayed silent as he watched people staring at him, it wasn't every day that someone using such a common sword was riding a war horse. He ignored them as he looked ahead. The ship that he was looking for was supposed to be fancy and was at the docks between the two rivers that connected the two cities fragments. His sigh was long and strained as he saw ahead that the only fancy one was only partially fancy. He rolled his eyes as he then paused, the war horse as he patted the war horse's neck as he muttered to himself, "Wait a minute, that's the wrong one anyway."

The black haired man pulled his letter from his hakama and unfolded the letter as he skimmed through it, and then saw the drawing at the bottom. He squeezed his legs against the war horse's sides as the Pessiah moved straight forward as he looked at the drawing and then at the boat to the left. Slipping the letter into his shirt, Ketsuki gathered the reins and turned the horse towards the rickety, worse looking boat. Under that, said a caption at the bottom, was the fancy ship. It was metal on the inside, but he doubted that this would be a smooth ride. Releasing a sigh, the samurai like male had his war horse pessiah trot over to the plank where he showed his letter and then dismounted as the man tilted his head at this as he asked Ketsuki, "Don't you want to take your horse up the plank?"

Ketsuki turned his dark lilac eyes to the man as he said, "No." He gave a humph as he started up the ramp as his war horse faded into the plane that Pessiah lived on when not with their masters. He paused at the top and then moved towards the cabin where the captain would be as he still had the letter in his hand. He looked around the boat as a light wind from the sea sent his scarf tails flying backwards. The characters on this boat were interestingly disgusting to say the least, he saw a few beast humans, the Sabrian. He mentally hated them for their freakish appearance, but never voiced it. He had the strange feeling that the captain was going to be a Sabrian as well...

As the Wevit arrived at the cabin, he looked around until he found a bunk that had a mass in it that was rolling around. A sigh was released from his lips as he believed it to be the captain as he called out to the captain as he had the sheet in his left hand, held up slightly, "Captain, I have a letter to-"

Ketsuki pulled back and pulled his sword from his sheath as the mass got up and out. It wasn't the captain, it was a pessiah like his own, though not a horse type of pessiah. It was a seek, silk black panther, something that he had never faced before. His eyes narrowed as the Wevit's arm pulled back as if to use a special technique, but he felt a hand grab is sword and a voice behind him, deep with authority and calmness, "Down, back away from this young man."

The panther seemed annoyed at this, but turned and slinked back to it's bunk place and got into the sheets as the captain came into view. He was old, and yet his voice suprised the young man. He then narrowed his dark lilac eyes as he held the paper out, but the man shook his head, saying, "No need to show me, I already know you're here for protection. Though this isn't a miliary boat, we don't allow the normal customers to carry weapons. All guards that we've hired have letters and not tickets."

Ketsuki nodded as he slipped the letter into his hakama as he said, "Yes, I see. Well, then, I'll be going back outside." The captain nodded as he left the area and released a sigh as he looked over at the others on the ship. So far, there were only two guards on the boat: himself and a strange man, he had a huge cannon looking thing on his arm with a lock on it that didn't seem to be weighting him down, along with a strange weapon at his side that looked like a sword like his own, but it was duel edged.

Staring at the man, he was surprised when he turned around. He was taller then that cannon like arm showed: he was at least three or four inches taller then Ketsuki. He had a light smile on his face, with strange glasses, they were orange, which he thought would distort his vision. He also had on a light blue scarf that was shorter then Ketsuki's, with only one tail. He backed up slightly as the man stared walking towards him as he placed a hand at his sword's handle, narrowing his dark lilac eyes at the man, who put a hand near his own sword that had no sheath. His voice came out in a warm done, almost welcoming, "You must be the other warrior, they told me that there would be a younger man, here to protect the ship from the ghost ship. My name is Ovan."

Ketsuki raised an eyebrow at what he had said. Just two people being used against a ship of supposed ghosts? He narrowed his eyes at the man who called himself Ovan and watched as Ovan pulled his hand away from the sword. Nodding his head towards the black haired Wevit pulled his hand away from the handle of the curved sword and then stood straight as he looked back at the plank as he watched as the he heard the plank being pulled in. He turned his head towards the man Ovan and said, "My name is Ketsuki..." With the boards up from the dock, the boat started to move. Hopefully those in charge would have some fighting experience of their own. Ketsuki was just a starting fighter.

Time was going shortly as Ketsuki stayed at one end of the ship while the strange Ovan was made to be on the other side of the ship. The black haired Ketsuki had one arm on the ship's railing as the wind blew his scarf and hair as he muttered to himself, "That strange Ovan character... he is rather charismatic about the situation. With only the two of us and possibly a crew of fights on board, if we are attacked by ghosts, it will be the captain and two of us guards might be the only two capable of fighting off the ghosts."

He turned his head as he looked over at the other side of the boat, or rather, that was his intention when his sights instead caught sight of Ovan, which made him jump before he said, "Hey, what the-" Ovan placed a hand over his mouth as he smirked as the orange glasses man said, "It's not night yet. I have information for you that you might find interesting. It's about the boat that we're on that you may no be aware of... so I suggest you quit struggling and yet me tell you what needs to be said about the good captain of this vessel."

The Wevit looked into Ovan's eyes, they were a deeper blue then his scarf, but they were amazingly different then what the Wevit had thought that they would be. He pulled away from Ovan and leaned on the railing with his arms spreed as he asked in an emotionless voice, "So, then. What about our dear Captain Wevit such as I am are you most concerned about?" Hus dark lilac eyes bore into Ovan's eyes, but the light blue haired male stood at his full high as if that cannon encased arm didn't weight anything at all, something that made him wonder what was really under that bond, he believed it to be a special bond made by a strong Kinos mage. What did Ovan need to conceal away from the rest of society?

Ovan let out a small chuckle as he pulled free his sword and said, "As an S ranked fighter, I believe that I will tell you when I wish to tell." His smirk said it all, he was not really good, nor evil, just like Ketsuki. He did what he wanted or what would give him strength. To this Ovan made no comment, even as he saw the look on his new young companion's face as he then placed the edge of the sword that was not there on normal curved swords on his shoulder at an angle as he said, "Now then, to our captain. He was not supposed to be our real captain. I arrived here before he boarded, and I heard the scream of a man in the Captain's cabin. In other words, the Wevit in there is not going to help us."

Ovan then turned around as he faced the sun as he said, "He is the key to the recent string of ghost ship attacks, I believe. If you and I can kill him after the ship arrives, I can pilot this ship back to the shore. However, you must protect those rich people on the boat before you assist me. My Pessiah will keep his panther away. Mine is a beast that will keep it at bay. But remember that you must assist me in killing him. I sense that our powers are about the same. So you understand your risk when attacking him, correct... Mister Kuchiki Ketsuki?"

The eyes of the black haired Wevit widned as he said, "You... knew my family name? That means that you either know your low class fighters in Det'Hai, or you are a stalker..." He narrowed his eyes and drew his sword, but it was batted away from striking range as Ovan used his cannon arm and shoved Ketsuki to the ground, pressing slightly on his chest. The Wevit had no idea that it would hurt so much as he growled, trying to get some air as Ovan then pointed his sword between Ketsuki's eyes.

The two were in that position for a few seconds before Ovan backed off with a small smile as he said, "I did not mean to hurt you, Ketsuki, but you drew your weapon against me. It's a reflex that I have. And just so you know, I talked with the former captain before he was killed. I wanted to know how many would be coming along. Now then, with that attitude, I have to say that you are with the plan, or with your death on this boat. Truly, do not make me kill you. Killing you would mean a great blow to my plans and put strain on my plans to save the ship and stop this string of pirating." Ovan then turned as dusk started to settle in, giving Ketsuki no chance to answer, catching the fighter with only one choice to live. Ovan placed his sword away and used his avaible right hand's middle finger to shove his glasses back into place.

The Wevit didn't like it, being forced into this, but he supposed that he really had no choice. Releasing a sigh, the Wevit leaned against the railing again and watched as he was supposed to. The light slipped into the horizon as lamps were lit by magic, no doubt. The rotting wood on the ship creacked and groaned as it slid through the water. Pulling his sword free, the black haired Wevit turned as he heard a noise. He didn't see Ovan right away until he saw the glint of the metal on his arm. He then realized that Ovan was looking where he had heard the noise. He saw mist floating their way, but the sound of another ship was unmistakable.

Watching silently, the Wevit couldn't believe it as the ship slid stealthy through the water. He doubted that Ovan's really doubled as a cannon, but then again, he believed that Ovan wouldn't use it anyway. He ran towards the middle of the boat he was on as the ghost ship fired a shot at he ship. He watched as the ball went straight for the hull, but all it managed to do was break the rotting wood. However, that was enough to get the people down the stairs to come up. And then they saw the ship, and were retreating away from it and back into the hull of the ship, going for the most protected part of the iron clad ship. Releasing a sigh, the Wevit looked back at the ghost ship.

Ovan then made his move as he summoned out what he meant before, something that could fight the panther: it was another big cat, the lion. It was another animal that Ketsuki had only read about. Turning his eyes once more back to the ghost ship, he ducked as a a cannon ball almost took his head off. Ovan and his tiger reached the captain's cabin as the panther leapt out, only to be batted aside by the containment cannon like arm from Ovan, who then blocked a strike from the captain, who was wielding a rather large lance.

The Wevit narrowed his eyes as the ghost ship arrived next to the iron clad ship. The black haired male ducked as another cannon ball flew past his head and then jumped back as he watched men start to board. The whole ghost ship thing, they weren't really ghosts, he could see them for what they really were. Narrowing his eyes, the Wevit charged into the group of men's landing area after throwing his sword, which landed in the chest of the nearest "ghost pirate" and as he arrived, he pulled the cutting weapon from the man's body and placed a hand on his chest before he used two hands to slash the man's arm off that was just arriving as his Peesiah arrived onto the battlefield that the metal ship was turning into.

The war horse got up on two legs as one was nearing and used a head butt that sent the man flying back into his own ship, where his skull cracked in two. Ketsuki behead the man that was trying to get away who had had his arm chopped off. The black haired Wevit then mounted the Pessiah and raised his sword, the war horse Amari raising as he brought his sword down on newly arriving pirates as his horse stomped on their head. He could hear the battle between the two feline pessiah and Ovan and the Captain, or rather, Ovan and the man that killed the real captain.

The battle wasn't even heating up for the Wevit as he thought to himself, "This is just way too easy. Either these me were extremely lucky that they got into that string of ghost ship robberies or they have something up their sleeves that is unleashed at their captain's orders if they are losing." And indeed, the black haired Wevit was right as his war horse back out of the way as a huge hand slammed onto the railing of the boat. It was amazing that the ship only groaned under the strain as a rather large creature climbed aboard. His eyes widened at the size, but it was slow and wouldn't last long in a chase. However, a chase here could put the passengers at risk.

The creature let lose a roar as it charged at him, but Amari was faster then he looked, and dodged out of the lumbering creture's way, but he saw that he was not the thing's true target, Ovan was. He gridded his teeth and then had Amari charge straight at it as he used that momentum and then he jumped from the horse and drove his sword through the creature's neck with his Thrust attack, smashing the creature into the ground. Amari had charged into the people that tried to go for the passengers, but was now having trouble. Drawing his sword some what difficultly from the neck of the creature and used the Project skill again and as he withdrew the blade, he used another skill that he had hoped to avoid using on the likes of these false ghost pirates, Light Swipes.

Using the only technique from Bushido that he knew, he used them to fend them off and away from Amari, who was not hurt, but had to rest, he saw. He was getting tired as well, but he saw little "ghost pirates" left. However, the strange spear blade wielding captain seemed to be gaining an upper hand on Ovan, but he had yet to hear or see any special techniques used by Ovan, who was defending himself one handed and with that strange cannon like arm seal, which seemed to come in handy. The Pessiah of the two were skill fighting, those Ovan's tiger was starting to get the upper hand.

Ketsuki watched like the rest of the pirates as Amari faded into the realm inside Ketsuki's heart as Ovan and the captain seemed to have the advantage, but Ovan secretly had the advantage. Though he was most likely waiting for Ketsuki to attack, the Wevit wanted to watch a little longer then normal before he would help the man. The scarf on Ovan seemed to dance around the two, and it was when the scarf seemed to move strangely was when the black haired Wevit charged in as he used Light Swipes at the false captain, who was surprised and the fake captain tried to use the back of his spear while he blocked a strike from Ovan, but Ketsuki used a different attack as he used his foot and smashed the butt of the spear to the floor and used that to try Slash towards the man's throat.

Ovan then took advantage of this and pulled his cannon arm back and then smashed that against the captain's head. The orange glassed man smirked lightly as he then used the mouth of the metal encasement smashed onto the man's head, smashing it so badly that blood, flesh, brains, and bones. Ovan pulled his arm up and then the man's head started to laugh. No, it wasn't his corpse, it was one of the pirates that seemed to have gotten in the way. Ketsuki turned as he went to one knee and brought his sword up on instinct, and the spear smashed against the sword. Ovan stabbed with his sword, but the captain simply dodged away with a smirk.

Ghost Ship Ahoy! [Solo] Tri-true

The man was most likely not ready for what Ovan did next, as the arm that the casing had covered had the large lock on it fall. The Wevit looked over and his eyes widened as he saw a strange dagger in that hand that had several sickle like blades, but what was strange was the sickle like arm that hung from his left arm like a gallows hook. A dark light shown and only his glasses showed for his eyes as Ovan simply slashed towards the man. The strange arm followed after, and slashed into the man and then seemed to pull him from the place he was with the sickles. A scream ripped from his throat as Ovan then flung the man before Ketsuki as he said in a quiet voice, "Go ahead. Kill him, Mister Kuchiki."

The Wevit stood there for a second and then used his sword with all his strength and stabbed the sword through the man's thoat as he said in a curious tone, "So, what's with that other arm...?" He watched as Ovan moved passed him and then looked behind him as the orange glassed and light blue haired warrior killed every other person, the fake pirates and crew alike. Ketsuki had never been able to see his movements, but where the wounds where, he saw that Ovan really was S ranked, no. He had to be stronger then that with that strange arm.

He looked over at Ovan as he stopped with everyone else dead as his tiger walked over to him before the big cat diapered. The cannon like arm started to piece back together around his arm as the light from his body faded. He almost fell over, but used the cannon arm to keep himself up as he said, "That arm, is a curse, Mister Kuchuki. An arm a nether mage placed on me in a forbidden spell and ritual. And then several of each mage type, having to be masters, made this seal." He paused as he then raised up and started walking towards the steering wheel as he said, "Using it takes a lot of energy, and my personality becomes very aggressive, like I'm possessed by a demon, or should I rather say, my dark side, Mister Kuchiki."

The Wevit nodded as he walked to the head of the boat after pulling the sword from the throat of the fake captain, who released a gurgling sound as he would bleed to death soon. He slashed the sword to the side as he sheathed the blade, walking down to the passengers, and told them that they were going to head back for Det'Hai, because it was too late in the night to go any further towards the destination, because of the pirate ship attack. They were all fine with that, just fine that they were still alive. He nodded and then left them to do what they wanted as he went back up to the surface after warning the faint of heart that they should be led from the hull because there was a lot of blood on the ground.

Ketsuki went up to the top and then walked over to the nose tip of the boat as he leaned against the railling as he thought silently. Ovan was definitely a very strong fighter, but he had to wonder if he could really trust Ovan. Releasing a sigh, he said to himself as they headed back for the pier, "Ovan, I don't know your plans, but I think I'll stick around to see what you are going to do from now on..."
