“That’ll be $4.25, ma’am.” A deep voice with a perceptible accent states.
“Okay. Hmm, I’ve only got $4.20. Is that okay?”
The store clerk pulls a few pennies from a cup adjacent to them. He counts them, and nods.
“Thank you,” She says with an affirmative nod. “Take care.” She begins to saunter out of the store, a soft smile upon her visage.
The girl emerges from the lighted innards of a local corner store, a soft yawn departing from her mouth as her chocolate brown oculars scan the area. She’d been hanging out with a few acquaintances of her, and had just departed their company roughly fifteen minutes ago. She has to be home, or, she’s expected to be home at ten thirty at least with the part of the city she was within. It was far more secure than the other areas though that presumption was only ostensive.
With her she had some chips, a small bottle of soda, and a chocolate bar within her pocket. She’d make sure that it didn’t melt by frequent checks and rummaging her hand through her pocket to further inspect the density of the object. Kyo figures she’ll walk around a bit- she has no particular goal at that moment. Her mind is bound within a dreadful bore and she desires to cleanse such.
Her eyes fixate upon something, a small canine which people were merely phasing through. She tilts her head slightly, before beginning towards the creature. It was undeniable that this was some variation of a spirit with consideration that things were phasing through. Though, excitement clutches her as this had been one of her first experiences actually meeting one directly. But, how was she going to approach it without looking insane?
She moves in front of it. From there, she waves her hand as to instruct it to follow her, and as she does this, she attempts to make full eye contact. “Here.” She whispers, though inaudible. She’d only mouthed the words.

The spirit was walking on the streets carefully, aware that he might be wanted by more then just the humans, but other spirits as well. Hacking was detrimental to one's health at times, but the money it brought in would be for him to use as he pleased, finally being on his way to becoming solid. Seiroku, his step father and a demon himself, had told him that it was time for him to be able to solidify, so that he could really help with the 'family' business. Releasing a low sigh, the spirit walked for what Seiroku had said must be over three miles. An annoying start, but he had a feeling it was just to get more energy into his step. As a hacker, he sometimes didn't get off his rear for hours, watching a hacking happen or starting one. A mysteriously tricky process. He watched as people passed through him, unable to truly feel him, maybe feel a chill as he passed through them, causing those 'sudden chills' he heard about sometimes. He only chuckled at those people, they were all so amusing. As he moved through the streets, the male spirit spotted a pup looking creature walking the streets, wanting to hiss at it. As a feline, this canine was like an enemy he strongly did not want to encounter very often. However, he would keep a calm demure as to pass quickly instead of causing a fuss. Then a girl had walked up, seeming to pause before the beast and his slanted eyes narrowed. Truly annoying, when the spiritually aware saw the spirits and acted like this girl, or at least in his thoughts. He would pause and hands were shoved into his pockets to see what would happen. Surely, if the girl had indeed stopped for the pup, it might not act so friendly. With that thought, a light grin posses his lips, awaiting the results with this encounter.

At first, her pace starts out slow, her eyes fixating upon him to see if he complied with her instructions. Seeing that he’d begun to follow her, she enables her pace to increase to a jog. She states her apologies and jettisons her ‘excuse me’ about as she almost runs into a multitude of people. She figures this is not the type of behaviour her Father would want her to have when within publicity, but something just made her...differentiate from how she usually acts. To a minor extent though. Maybe she was more brash, maybe she simply did more and spoke more things- negative or positive. But why?
They come across an alleyway, which leads to the rear of a store. The concrete paved walls are filthy, stained with sickly blotches of black substance and spiders creeping along the rood of the house. It seemed despite this, they made sure that around the dumpsters and on the ground had been cleaned. Kyo was sure that they’d just made one of the employees clean it up when they didn’t have any work left to do. Tomfoolery in her personal opinion.
“Okay...” She says whilst panting. Regaining her breath, she kneels down in front of the canine. Slowly, she extends her hand, and by this spirit’s consent, places it upon his head. “You...must be a spirit of sorts? I had seen you pass through those other people. Can you talk?” Her voice is naturally quiet, though he words are decipherable if he understood human tongue.

The hacker would watch as the pup would indeed likely follow her, perhaps all the way to the alley. His hands would be released from their cloths compartments as he waited a bit before following after them while looking around. He was naturally cautious, especially while outside of his parent's house. He moved silently and quickly, his pace would easily keep up with this girl's and pup's. He himself he pause after she went into the darkened area and release a low sigh, looking around. There seemed a few bum spirits, but they all had things to do. He muttered to himself, "Or at least they better. Nobody likes lazy spirits..." He would turn back towards the alley and stop a bit before the mouth, wanting to listen in. He would likely miss the girl's question, but could figure what it was by the answer. As an information broker for spirits, at least just for the moment, this wasn't something out of the ordinary. Telling spirits who could see them apart from the authorities might prove... useful, in the long run. There were endless possibilities, but waiting to learning was what he was focused on at the moment, along with looking out for the authorizes.

Then why can you touch me. She presumed that those were the words that were going to emerge, however- the pup’s attention seemed to steer towards another direction. Foremost, Kyo merely quirks a brow, innocently curious of the scenario. Though, as her auburn- Auburn was now the improper manner to describe her eyes. The hour of day just striking the respective hour for her gothic ascendance, her eyes become a deep crimson. The flickering radiance from a nearby street light shimmers over her and those in propinquity. Her skin is a bit lighter, though not to the visual extent. Her nails are a bit longer- sharper like blades. Around her eyes is slightly sable as they fixate upon the spying figure. The light from Luna within the black empyrean above acts as a spotlight, perhaps answering this spirit’s question of ‘why’ she could touch and see him...
“Umm...” Her eyes narrow as though she is attempting to see what was before her. She seen clearly; this irked, bewildered and maybe even somewhat amused expression was accompanied by her raising her hand in a shrugging motion, a gesture that could be deciphered verbally as ‘why’.
“Can I help you?” She inquires curiously, although sarcasm is blatant seeing as a rocket scientist was not a prerequisite to know what he was doing.
Within this newfound lighting the girl’s attire is displayed fully. She’s wearing skin-tight jeans, the ends tucked into a stylish pair of brown boots. She’s clad within a green shirt which works well with the brown boots, giving the ‘camo’ type of apparel. One piece of her hair on the side is held up by a green bow. The winds touch her like cool fingers upon her ivory skin, rustling through the small plastic bag she’d obtained from her trip to the corner store. Her sanguine eyes curiously gaze towards him. Insidiously, dismally...

Her gaze lingers upon the eavesdropper momentarily before she directs the trajectory of her attention elsewhere. It appeared that heed had been paid towards the color of her eyes, a deep sanguine like blood spread across an ivory canvas. Her lips broaden slightly into a smile, revealing partially fanged canines. It appeared they both bestowed the same color irises, from which she presumed was not a common trait of a mundane human.
Dismissing the individual whom had so discourteously intervened in the conversation they’d originally been having, the girl’s attention fixates fully upon the canine spirit. It appears that he’d risen to his hind legs and the request which she could perceive had been for Kyo to perchance pick him up. Since she was two, she’d always like dogs, even if this was a spiritual variation. First, she pushes the plastic bag of one or two groceries into her school bag that was positioned on her hip. Then, lowering herself, she picks him up from the ground, from which she cradles him within her arms. To her the fabric of his fur makes him suit the definition of ‘cuddly’ and this pleases the girl to a perceptible extent. Even when she is smiling, with her vampiric embrace everything seemed even a little bit sinister.
“There’s a memorial park around here somewhere,” She begins quietly, beginning towards the other exit of the alleyway. “If only I can touch you, you must only be able to interact with spiritual things...Or, people who are more spiritual than others. Do you think you can manifest more...into this realm?” She inquires, stopping about ten or so feet away from the opposing end of the alleyway.

There seemed a lag in his response- duly do, since he did not want to say anything. It appered that the two now ignored him, and he did not really mind that. He would turn from the alley and head away after hearing about the memorial park. It was irksome to follow them to these places. The humans really were uninteresting in the parks, too cliche for him, but he would ask Seiroku about such things later. Moving along, he was feeling that there must be a way to physically manifest, but he wasn't going to do it out in the open. So he rushed home, going around other spirits, but otherwise avoiding more humans then earlier. He would land himself at the physical manifestation of his step parent's house and walk in, having finished Seiroku's task. Seeing the man sitting at his desk in the hacking room, Tadao narrowed his slender eyes at the man as he said, "That didn't manifest me in the physical world- what are you playing at, Seiroku?" The man turned to Tadao, took a sip of tea, and then placed it down as he said, "You did it to get used to passing through humans and seeing their reactions, an being around physical things. I'm surprised you haven't noticed it yet, boy." The hacker raised an eyebrow and then the man pointed to the door and said, "See if you can just 'pass' through that door again." A grunt came from the teen looking spirit as he turned and walked right for it, landing a hit onto the door and his head, to which he said, "Oww..." He would look around him and move to a computer and smirked as he felt the real computer under his fingers and smirked, saying, "Finally. Thanks, Seiroku."

Ooc: sorry, my net was screwing with me. Since I see you moving on ahead, I'll bow out.

The canine demon substituting for the nothingness within her grasp prior seemed to feel more 'real' abruptly. His following comment assures that he'd seeped into the physical realm at last, and she cannot help but think that she'd played an ample roll in making this plausible for him. Her expression swells with vanity as her lips attain an extensive nature- a slender smirk.
“Nice dog.” Someone states. They wave at her and smile as they continue to pass and blend back into the crowd of populace before them. Strangely, nobody seemed to perceive the spirit passing the borderline of this realm, and assumedly his realm of existence. She is slightly relieved by this, feeling as though an adequate supply of pressure had been exerted form herself. Explaining how a dog through means of magic appeared so suddenly would have been irksome.
Her crimson eyes fixate upon two targets within the distance as she begins down the sidewalk of the street. It’s three men, all appearing to be within their twenties. There is a protrusion of sorts within their pockets and her being quite analytical and observant, she picks up on what may be within the confines of them. Firearms of sorts- but what were they doing? She herself did not have enough offense, nor defence to overwhelm three men with guns.
These men look familiar to her- however. She squints her eyes as to acquire a better look at their attire and features.
“Those are the men Dad arrested three or so months ago...Weren’t they in for murder?” She whispers to both herself and the dog. “They probably want to get back at him by getting at his family. We’d better go...” When there are no cars within the street, she crosses at a fleet pace and eventually makes her way to the gate of the memorial park. They seem to notice, and at a slow pace begin to stalk them- not entirely sure if they have the valid target.
