| First topic message reminder :The Dark Tourney - Pre Battle Karnival Time: Variable Location: Variable
Realm: Present
2 months pass since the Blast to the Past events. The resilient city rebounds from attack on the Lower Commons. After the attack, the Demon Samurai Army is nowhere to be found in the city. Nothing abnormal happened after that. Division 12 monitors the destroyed area that they dropped a laser on, but do not know where chunks of the city went. The Division use what they learn from the attack to create future counter measures. There were people in the Lower Commons who saw what happened. They saw the physically manifested demon army and the battle with Division 12, but the media labels them as lunatics. The media explains that the terrorists caused a very large gas leak. They explained that the fumes from this leak caused hallucinations and extreme paranoia with lingering effects. The gas leak also explained the large explosion that ended the fighting. Division 12 was hailed as heroes again and cleaned up the mess with the help of the local police forces. The Major gives an announcement to the city and the ‘terrorists:’
“In partnership with Psi Corp, we will run a campaign to clean up the Lower Commons! It will no longer be a den for terrorism. We’ll smoke them out from their holes and hiding places. Terrorists, there is no where you can hide. We will make the entire city a safe place for our citizens! I have a dream… I have a dream that my four little children, one day will grow up in a city free of drugs… free of poverty… free of those who do wrong… we will fix this city and shine a brilliant light over the darkness… we shall overcome and we shall create a city of peace and prosperity!”
-
It is a normal day. Life continues like normal in the city. The sky is blue with light and fluffy scattered cloud cover. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. People dress in summer wear. Construction crews contracted by Psi Corp are almost done rebuilding the area in the Lower Commons damaged by the demon invasion. Beep beeps can be heard from large construction vehicles. In parks in East City and Gothstone, kids fly kites with their parents, bird chip, etc. In the Lower Commons there’s no barking from the dogs, no smog, and momma cooked a breakfast today with no hog. Today was a good day (Ice Cube). Ballers are out flossing in their whips and honeys were on the block showing off. The donuts were just right today at the police department and there were no misunderstandings with drug deals on the streets.
-
Realm: Past
The villages recover after the attack of the Demon Army. The leaders of Saichuushigai reach out to Hejar. The chieftain of Hejar sells Sai Village information on the whereabouts of the demon army. The villages come together and form an alliance against this army, but they still don’t know anything about it. Large walls are reinforced around the major villages. The militias are strengthened. The leaders of each village send scouts to get more information on their new enemy. The temples are busy with people praying to ward off evil and hard times. There is a reinvigoration in the church.
-
Realm: ???
Something happens in an area that looks like the forest. A barrier forms a misty black dome over about three blocks of room in the forest. The barrier raises high over the tree tops at around the same height as a small skyscraper. Inside the dome, metal forms and twists into large structures, Yokai (being controlled by someone or something) transform into twisted versions of Teddy Bears, Bunny Rabbits, and other things you might see at a place like Disney, and a carnival grow out of nothing. It boasts large rides, balloons, games, concessions, booths and tents. There are large red flags and a welcome banner at the gates with a twisted clown face.
-
Realm: Past and Present
Very weird looking signs start to pop up at random places around the city and villages in both the future realm and the past realm. They look like twisted stop signs, but are bright colors with the words looking like they were painted on with a paint brush. The main word says “KARNVIAL.” They have a poster taped to them with a message:
“FuN fUn Fun! Kum one kum awl to the KARNIVAL! Games, prizes and a live event! Fighters WELKOMED. Think yEr strong? Enter the Unholy Fighter Championship! Singles and team kompetitions available. Bring yerself or bring yer family! Fun for all!”
In really tiny letters it had the caption: “all your souls are belongs to us.”
The signs are enchanted to attract people with strong senses, will, abilities and/or magic to it. Normal people aren’t able to see these signs, only people who can see spirits. Every poster has a place that says ‘touch here to go!’ that portals people to the gates of the carnival.
Rules: no set post order wait at least 2 ppl (or 4 characters) before between posts if you interact with starred npcs, wait on that npc to respond before reposting (npcs coorindator’s: label storyline important npcs with a star by their name like *Glucose) Do not start off with “I touch a sign”…. -.-‘ xP BTW - this is just the carnival portion, not the tourney that will take place in onitoshi |

| The woman in the red dress comes out and bows politely. "Good evening, and welcome to my..." Lightning cracked outside dramatically. Oh, perfect timing with those special effects, Jasper, she thought. "Little shop of horrors. We are having some difficulty at the moment. The 1000 pound tub of baby lard I ordered is late. Until then, we have some... other diversions you may enjoy. This challenge comes with a small prize." By now, people were still filtering in, but most of the pews were filled. The audience was self-segregating. On the left rows, the oni sat. In the center, the humans and hitorinji settled and began chatting with one another. The kami glared judgmentally across the aisles from the right of the chapel, and the yokai settled uncomfortably on the grey bricks, some closer to the oni, some closer to the kami, depending on who they felt most comfortable with. "Anyone care to volunteer? Don't make me pick someone out of the crowd." She licked her fingers and chuckled darkly.

The wolf scratched his head, confused at all of the action suddenly transpiring. He coughed, a cold cloud of white curling as he raised his blue eyes to Mukesh "Hey, it's not good to go threatening old people, you know. We're more similar than you think. Yes, you're bound here. If you don't believe me look on your back. There's a white tattoo there that looks sort of like mine." Raising his paw, he revealed the tribal pattern adorning the back of it. "You have to go see my brother. He's sealed inside of a rock at the outskirts of town..." Coughing, he licked some of the fat from his face and began to trot off, mumbling. "So nice that idiot freed me. Gonna go clean myself off and... *cough* eat something in Yochi. I'm too old for this, these people are going to give me a heart attack."

| SeVen skips into the room and looks around at the people who are there. It looked like there were a lot of people there and there would be some type of show. She walked with Rei, Seiki and Kazakura and giggled when Seiki was slapped away. She looks at the woman in the red dress and thought that it was pretty, but it was taking too long for the show to start. there wasn't a place to buy pretty stuffed animals. She walks away from them and goes back outside to see what else there was to do and closes the door behind her. She walks near Valkrist and Pysre and stands there and looks at them. | |

| The Dark Tournament - Carnival Watching Azhure for a moment I take note she was not looking at me, but in another direction. Lifting my gaze from her I glance off in the direction she is looking and see another demon, the one she is looking at. Glancing over him I frown faintly. As he approaches I hold my ground and watch him while glancing over him again, sizing him up as a threat, though since I didn't come to this place with the intent to fight I didn't want to fight the demon. As he came closer I shifted to face him, glancing to Azhure once again before I looked at the demon. I expected the demon to speak to the both of us as he arrived but instead it seemed as if he was only speaking to Azhure. After Azhure had spoken up, answering the man I reach out and carefully slip an arm around her waist to pull her closer to me, my gaze shifting into a soft glare as I look at the man that had seemingly ignored me in order to speak to Azhure. Despite the fact the demon had not spoke directly to me, I decided to introduce myself as well, " And I am Valkrist. " I said in a soft tone, though my face supported a hint of anger as I looked at the demon. As long as Azhure didn't stop me I would pull her closer to me as I looked over the demon once again.

| Speaking aloud to her, I comment, "Azhure... quite a beautiful treasure indeed." I notice the shift in the male and smile as his mood seems to change. I suppose he feels threatened by my approach towards the woman. My first thought is that he must be a bodyguard or something, but when his arm reaches out for her, I figure out that they must be a little more than friends. Interesting. This will make things a bit more fun for me then. Since he has not shown an act of aggression, I shown no ill intent of my own. That is primarily b/c I don't harbor ill will towards him or his lady. On the contrary, she seems like she could be extremely useful to me in Yochi Furi if only properly trained. My first thought is to ask Kali when I return, but Kali doesn't always play well with other women. Then again, if my father trained an entire force of Shyr Beis, I am sure that I can handle this myself, especially since I won't need to break her. I look at the demoness while my Televocal power picks on her surface thoughts which bring a smile back to my face. So she craves power, does she? Excellent. Looking at the male in a manner that shows I am unimpressed and hoping he isn't foolish enough to be sizing me up, I can understand why she wants for more. I prepare to speak to her telepathically when he addresses me. Why do the insignificant always feel the need to speak? My gaze does not shift to him until the second half of my response to him, but my words are obviously directed to him with the sting of a thousand scorpion tails, "And I care, why? Your presence is not required at this time... and you do not want my attention."
Speaking telepathically to her again, "Azhure, I can help with those surging desires of yours. You want power from me, and well... there is something that I want as well. All you have to do is say yes and take a walk with me and I will show you what you have been missing." Taking my gaze off of Azhure, I look away from the entrance area towards the actual inner workings of the carnival. I locate a point of interest for us to speak at and prepare to move. My tone is soft and welcoming while my accent (think a male Akasha from QotD or Olympia from Alexander) holds, "Miss Azhure, would you care to get a drink?"

| | It seemed the old wolf was either hard of hearing or just dumb. Mukesh had told him 'not' to tell him he was bound. All he wanted to know about was an exit. All the wolf had to say was. 'Go see my brother who is sealed in a rock on the outside of town.' That would have told Mukesh how to exit in a way, and not told him about the binding. But seeing as how the old man had failed, the demon had to make good on the second part of his threat.
Demonic Energy began to gather inside of him, as he chanted. "O chrónos stamatáei gia sas, allá kiní̱seis gia ména" At the end of the chant time around the area would stop. Of course no one would actually realize this unless they were just that strong. Once everything was stopped, he dashed towards the old wolf demon. This only took a few seconds, and he still had plenty left to attack. With all of the strength and technique of Bushido that he could muster, he proceeded to slash the wolf all over its body. Slashes across the eyes, the under belly, its legs and paws. And a few specifically at its neck region. With only moments left until the spell dropped, he returned to his original spot and sheathed his sword. At the click of the weapon seating firmly in place time would resume. And if all his attacks had been successful, the wold would feel every slash at once.
ooc: Timehalt; Roughly about 8 slashes at Fierce damage (Bushido perfected)

| | Valkirst, slipped his arm around me and introduced himself. My eyebrow arched at Tryn’s next words towards him and my eyes shifted between the two of them expecting a fight. That would be interesting indeed. I let Valkirst pull me close as I listened to the voice in my mind. So he knew my thoughts and desires did he? That was interesting, he could read minds. That would be a nifty little power to have. How could he give me what I desired? Not to mention Valkirst was right here. That was when a power that had lain dormant for months began to rear its head and whisper in the back of my mind. Legion had awoken and was no softly pushing the memories of Valkirst/Nova in the beginning of our relationship. The images that Legion had been guarding came to the surface, the rape and the infection. The way that Legion had protected me again. My eyes grew bright with anger, which I quickly swallowed. Legion whispered in my mind and I knew that I would have vengeance for Valkirst/Nova’s rape. But for now I would not let on to the rapist that I remembered those earlier memories. For now I would just seek power and then destroy him. Legion waited in the back of mind like a crouching tiger, ready to pounce. I was in agreement. It was now time to act and begin to move my pieces on the imaginary chessboard in my mind. Legion smiled as my eyes flashed gold before Legion retreated into a silence. I would agree to the demon before me. “A drink would be wonderful.” Then with a bright smile as if nothing had happened, I turned and glanced at Valkirst, “You don’t mind do you? I have never met any other true demon besides you and Asher.” I made it sound like I was asking permission, when in truth, I was manipulating Valkirst into a corner. He could say no and appear the monster and hurt my feelings or he could be nice and say yes since it was asked so innocently.

It would seem as if there was a bit of a full house as the seats seemed to be filling in quite nicely since the time I had come in and embarrassed myself. I found myself looking around the area we were in as Akechi was pulling me to the front, since it was his idea to be a part of the show. Kazakura and the safety of our pew seats gets further and further away as we get to the front. The lady’s voice reaches my ears as she asks for participants. Since we were on our way up there, I figured it would be good to draw attention to ourselves. Walking along side, and maybe even a few feet ahead of Akechi, I lift my hand into the air with a cheeky smile as I speak, “we’ve got your volunteer right here.” I figured if Akechi was still interested, or around, he could easily speak up for himself. I continue my strut until I come within permissible proximity of the stage and its mistress. I had heard something about a tub of lard, but I didn’t know if she were referring to a friend, or the actual physical structure. In hind sight, I wondered what that could possibly be used for. I was pretty certain this was a legit show, right? The lady seemed nice enough and it seemed to be ran professionally enough. I present myself to the hostess willing, ready and able to participate the event.
