| The Dark Tourney - Pre Battle Karnival Time: Variable Location: Variable
Realm: Present
2 months pass since the Blast to the Past events. The resilient city rebounds from attack on the Lower Commons. After the attack, the Demon Samurai Army is nowhere to be found in the city. Nothing abnormal happened after that. Division 12 monitors the destroyed area that they dropped a laser on, but do not know where chunks of the city went. The Division use what they learn from the attack to create future counter measures. There were people in the Lower Commons who saw what happened. They saw the physically manifested demon army and the battle with Division 12, but the media labels them as lunatics. The media explains that the terrorists caused a very large gas leak. They explained that the fumes from this leak caused hallucinations and extreme paranoia with lingering effects. The gas leak also explained the large explosion that ended the fighting. Division 12 was hailed as heroes again and cleaned up the mess with the help of the local police forces. The Major gives an announcement to the city and the ‘terrorists:’
“In partnership with Psi Corp, we will run a campaign to clean up the Lower Commons! It will no longer be a den for terrorism. We’ll smoke them out from their holes and hiding places. Terrorists, there is no where you can hide. We will make the entire city a safe place for our citizens! I have a dream… I have a dream that my four little children, one day will grow up in a city free of drugs… free of poverty… free of those who do wrong… we will fix this city and shine a brilliant light over the darkness… we shall overcome and we shall create a city of peace and prosperity!”
-
It is a normal day. Life continues like normal in the city. The sky is blue with light and fluffy scattered cloud cover. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. People dress in summer wear. Construction crews contracted by Psi Corp are almost done rebuilding the area in the Lower Commons damaged by the demon invasion. Beep beeps can be heard from large construction vehicles. In parks in East City and Gothstone, kids fly kites with their parents, bird chip, etc. In the Lower Commons there’s no barking from the dogs, no smog, and momma cooked a breakfast today with no hog. Today was a good day (Ice Cube). Ballers are out flossing in their whips and honeys were on the block showing off. The donuts were just right today at the police department and there were no misunderstandings with drug deals on the streets.
-
Realm: Past
The villages recover after the attack of the Demon Army. The leaders of Saichuushigai reach out to Hejar. The chieftain of Hejar sells Sai Village information on the whereabouts of the demon army. The villages come together and form an alliance against this army, but they still don’t know anything about it. Large walls are reinforced around the major villages. The militias are strengthened. The leaders of each village send scouts to get more information on their new enemy. The temples are busy with people praying to ward off evil and hard times. There is a reinvigoration in the church.
-
Realm: ???
Something happens in an area that looks like the forest. A barrier forms a misty black dome over about three blocks of room in the forest. The barrier raises high over the tree tops at around the same height as a small skyscraper. Inside the dome, metal forms and twists into large structures, Yokai (being controlled by someone or something) transform into twisted versions of Teddy Bears, Bunny Rabbits, and other things you might see at a place like Disney, and a carnival grow out of nothing. It boasts large rides, balloons, games, concessions, booths and tents. There are large red flags and a welcome banner at the gates with a twisted clown face.
-
Realm: Past and Present
Very weird looking signs start to pop up at random places around the city and villages in both the future realm and the past realm. They look like twisted stop signs, but are bright colors with the words looking like they were painted on with a paint brush. The main word says “KARNVIAL.” They have a poster taped to them with a message:
“FuN fUn Fun! Kum one kum awl to the KARNIVAL! Games, prizes and a live event! Fighters WELKOMED. Think yEr strong? Enter the Unholy Fighter Championship! Singles and team kompetitions available. Bring yerself or bring yer family! Fun for all!”
In really tiny letters it had the caption: “all your souls are belongs to us.”
The signs are enchanted to attract people with strong senses, will, abilities and/or magic to it. Normal people aren’t able to see these signs, only people who can see spirits. Every poster has a place that says ‘touch here to go!’ that portals people to the gates of the carnival.
Rules: no set post order wait at least 2 ppl (or 4 characters) before between posts if you interact with starred npcs, wait on that npc to respond before reposting (npcs coorindator’s: label storyline important npcs with a star by their name like *Glucose) Do not start off with “I touch a sign”…. -.-‘ xP BTW - this is just the carnival portion, not the tourney that will take place in onitoshi |

| Having made the choice to stay where he was, Adrian began to travel the past realm. It didn't take long to come across a man that knew the ways of the Jhesta Tu. To those that didn't know the Jhesta Tu were an elite group of Spirit Blacksmiths. Secrets were passed from master to apprentice, or so his demonic master has once said. And Adrian had since taken residence in Saichuushigai living with his master, his master's wife, and working every day as an apprentice for the man that showed him things he had yet to learn as a blacksmith in the western woods. The demons kept many things hidden but what struck his master the most about Adrian was the mask he wore over his face. Anytime he was asked he always said the same thing.
"My face is scarred, horrifyingly so. So I wear this mask to keep others from staring at my disfigured face." he said to a small group of children who had worked up the courage to ask about it.
He smiled as they left, carrying on with their chores. He went back to his duty as an apprentice, helping his master working on another item. The two men worked, though it was more effort for Adrian since he was unused to this kind of furnace. He grabbed a long glove, and slid it into place over his hand and grabbed a block of Coke. He pulled a long poker and hooked one end over the opening of the furnace. He then threw the brick of coke and watched the flames lick at it before the material began to crack, as rivers of fire flowed across the brick. Closing the furnace he tossed the glove onto a near by table before he lowered his robes. His upper body was bandaged to a degree, though it did little to hide the strength he'd been developing as the blacksmith's apprentice. The rest of his body was covered by simple black pants, his favored blood red sash tied around his waist.

Originally I had thought of heading back towards Domen'yun's territory; but that was too far away. I took a risk at night and had stayed the night, and went back to the boathouse the next day. I simply wondered about Seiki and those girls I had met. Closing my eyes before I would head out, I thought about a name; one that I had promised something, or at least told them something I was sure of. Kazakura. I would shake my head before I headed out and started to walk within the crowds, wearing something I did in the past. A yukata, a thin version of the male version of a kimono or hakama. Black on the outside, the shirt on the inside contrasted by being white. I wore a dark navy obi (a cloth belt), with my feet having tabi (socks) and zori on (straw sandals). I also had one of my two katana slipped into the belt, my naginata was strapped on my back with the blade pointed at the ground. My wakizashi lay just behind the longer curved weapon. The katana and wakizashi lay on my left side. Lastly my long sword had its own sheath, on my right hip. I would walk out and into the crowd, my long hair flowed behind me in a ponytail. I needed to get it cut eventually, or this tying thing would keep getting in the way. Looking around for a bit, I though of visiting a shop to get a sheath for my naganata, but then I heard my name shouted by a familiar voice. I would turn my head and see Kazakura, a small smile coming to my face as I walked towards her, asking in a cheery voice, "Mi'lady, how have you been?"

| The Dark Tournament - Carnival Standing on the edge of a three story building over looking the street I gaze down at the people as they walk along the size walk and drive down the street in their cars. Casually I shift my gaze, slowly scanning the side walk and street while looking at the people as they go about their lives. After a moment longer I lift my gaze from the people, slowly moving it up along a building in front of me before breaking away from that and glancing around the buildings in the surrounding area in front of me. Each time we come to the humans world I always bring us here first, a place they call the Lower Commons, I don't know why but it seems vaguely familiar to me. Glancing away, I look to the sky for a moment before I turn on the edge of the building. Turning I face my two companions, Azhure and Asher. I glance between the two for a moment before offering them both a faint smile, " Lets go. " I say as the smile fades and I step down from the ledge and begin to move across the roof. Making my way across the roof, I come to another ledge and step up onto it, pausing for a moment before I step off and begin to descend down into an alley. After landing on the ground I begin to move once again, expecting the two to follow right behind me, I lead the way out of the alley and onto the side walk before I begin moving down the side walk. While moving down the side walk I begin to idly shift my gaze around some, again looking at the people on the side walk.

| | Amidst the crowds of the city, a stranger from the desert wondered idly. He was dressed in simply red robes, that hung open exposing his chest, and upper abs. near his waste a leather belt held the robes together, and similar leather collar hugged his neck. His skin was bronzed from the desert sun, and his blonde hair bleached white by long hours in its intensity. But his most noticeable features were all in his face, intense wolf like eyes, and an inherited trait from a rare clan curse. His face was made more exotic by the tattoos a symbol of exile. While normally the markings alone would be cause for people to avoid him, he did not worry about such things this far from the desert. These people had probably never even heard of his village before, much less know its customs. People would think him most likely a strange traveler and nothing more. After his training with his new lord Domen’yun, Enriji had sought to gain more knowledge his own way, by taking it upon himself to see and experience knew things and going beyond the world he knew. The most obvious place to start had been her, at the heart of the land. So far he felt he’d made the right choice, the trip here alone had been interesting far more beautiful that the endless pit of sand he’d grown up in. But the road had been rather long, and while he had flown, mostly in more untraveled stretches or over obstacles that would tack longer to walk around, he was glade that he had finally made it to his destination. Before taking in the city fully he would find a spot near the town center and seat himself where he could watch the locals. He sat crossed legged under a tree and pulled a flask of water from around his belt, drinking it as he relaxed.

I sat in the office, typing away at the computer’s keyboard furiously trying to complete the paper work William had left for me. I leaned back in my chair giving my fingers a break, as I spotted my partner over by the doughnuts and coffee in the lounge. My expression quickly dropping to a look of disbelief and sheer awe at how easily he had pawned all the real work off onto me. My glare must have been more intense than I had originally thought because William turned and made eye contact. I gave a heavy sigh before looking away and out the window. It had been unusually calm today, if I didn’t have all this paper work I wondered if there would even be a reason for me to stay. Suddenly my thoughts are interrupted by a booming voice. “Brice, how are those reports going?” William asked now leaning over with his elbow on my computer and cup of coffee in his hand. “I’m half way, Why didn’t you do these earlier or at lest tell me about them so I didn’t have to waste all day finishing them?” I asked with a bit of irritation. William smiled as he wiped some crumbs of his mustache. “To keep your ass out of trouble, if I don’t keep you busy you’ll probably run off again without the bosses permission and do whatever it is you’ve been up to….You aren’t doing meth are you?” He paused a moment and I gave another sigh. A part of me wished I could tell William the truth, about the spirits and what I really was. The other part knew he was human and one well set in his beliefs. If I told him even a portion of what I’d been up to, what I’d seen he’d probably really believe I was on drugs and have me sent to the doctor. That’s just what I needed, a mental record, and my fathers reaction, well I doubted he would believe me either. “No, you know me, I like to do my own investigating.” I said with laugh, as if to play the part of the young cop who believed he alone could fix every problem in the world. William gave a jolly laugh as well before he began to walk away satisfied with my answer. He stopped and turned before getting more than two steps away. “Ya know Bri, why don’t you finish one more report and go home?” He suggested and I perked up in my char. “Are you serious?” I asked a bit caught off guard. “Yeah, we got this, things seem pretty slow…besides, I heard you haven’t been to visit yer mom, nows as good a time as any.” He said. “But what about the reports?” “Leave em, there's nothing there that’s going to end the world if you don’t finish it until tomorrow.” He assured and then moved away. I smiled as he left and looked back to the computer. It took me 15 minutes to finish, then I put the unfinished reports in the files and turned of my computer before collecting my things and heading to the front lobby.

Ah back here again, I muse in silent confidant to myself. While I did like the present, there was much here I could grow to enjoy. I had returned recently to find the fairy, but I was creature of curiosity and upon viewing the city from a distance, I had to come see it up close. So this was what the great Sai City had spawned from? Who would have thought that such a place would…I paused mid thought as I caught the energy signature of something far more interesting. Taking a moment to pin point the location of my query I begin heading down a new path. There was a vampire, near by from what I could tell. Besides Brice, my admitted failure in a suitable servant, and the girl I’d run into I hadn’t seen many others like me, and it was cause enough to abandon my current curiosity to track this one down. As push through some normal civilians I come to lay eyes on the source, a boy, with long black hair held back in long tassel. I watch for a moment as he speaks to a woman, before approaching. “Pardon my interruption…You’re a vampire are you not?” I would ask, the apologies were more towards the woman, and the question would be more directed towards the younger male. It was easy to tell he was like me, but still had age and experience over him. Also now that I was closer there was something else about him, but I couldn’t figure out exactly what.

I smiled and gave Rei a light hug. “I am glad to see you, Rei.” It was sort of sisterly affection. I was about to say something else when in broad daylight a man comes out of nowhere and asks Rei about his vaspire side. My hand comes up to place a palm to my face as this new male makes the blunder of a lifetime. The people he had pushed through, one of which was an elderly woman that had been knocked to the ground, we starting to move closer and at the sound of the word, ‘vampire’, the elderly woman screamed and began to hobble off. The scream brought the attention of others who began murmuring and growing into a UIH ..;. “He’s a vampire?” “Really, in broad daylight” “Well the temple teaches they are normal humans in daylight” “Yes. The disguise themselves as such to feed upon our children” “Not the children” Here a mother grabs her little boy and screams the words. “What shall we do with one?” “Burn him” “As the Priestess there” “Burn him” “What do you think, Priestess”
The mob was looking at Rei, myself, and the man with hostile intent and I sighed. How was I suppose to cover up this mess? I turned to the mob and smiled. “Settle down. I am sure this man is only a bit confused. Otherwise he would not accuse someone of being a Vampire, knowing that the it could cause the death of an innocent man.” I actually glared at the man for being so stupid. “Remain calm, I will look into this matter myself.” With that I grab both men by the arms, with me in the middle, looping my arm through their elbows, and walk down the street as we talk. Without glancing to the man, I speak “Are you insane? Do you want a mob to lynch you as well as him” A long suffering sigh escapes from me as I finally stop and take them down a deserted alleyway and releasing them.

| On the outer edge of the carnival-like atmosphere a stone building grows like a dark version of the Disney World castle. It sprouts from the ground like some sort of swiftly growing tree, its Gothic spires displacing rock and stone like a volcano as it stretched towards the dark roof of the dome. Its stained glass depict many dark events and creatures, most prominently a spider on the largest, round window above the vast cathedral doors. The church-like building, covered in rust and moss, slowly stops growing and shivers to a pause, standing steadily on the rocks of the churchyard with a resounding groan. After a short delay, a stone monument seeps up like some smaller sized seed of the spire. "The Unholy Spire, Conservatory and Auditorium of Doom, Home to Darci's Shop of Horrors, the annual hit gameshow! Come in and have a seat... if you dare. Muah ha h... hey! Stop carving you moron! I'm don" Inside the mysterious building, a coffin creaks open at the push of a hand, her red fingernails greeting the open air before her body did. A buxom woman in a revealing, yet flattering red dress eventually emerged, yawning and licking her fingers, scratching her sides. "It's that time again already? Oh dear..." Her red eyes looked up towards a naked gargoyle sculpture with a clock hanging from its hideous maw. "I'm late. Borace! Damien! Everybody! Wake up! It's time to start setting up for the show!" The many stone gargoyles decorating the outside of the cathedral shook themselves to life, hissing greetings at each other as they prepared to start setting up for the main event.
|
The atmosphere was dark, almost oppressive. An old man, one who apparently appeared with the rest of the demented mascots and horrific tents, wandered around, a huge sack on his back as he walked towards the outer edge of the ruckus. He stopped to cough, looking back at the sprouting spire and a small slit in his bag grew from both the force of his cough and the weight of the contents: gold and silver and all manner of jewelry and treasure. They spilled out over the dull ground like a glittering cascade, the radiance no doubt visible for a great distance in the darkness of the dome. "Oh dear..." he croaked, his knees cracking as he bent down to try to remedy the situation. "AAAH!" he cried, falling from the pain of his arthritis. "I have to..." he wheezed. "Get all of this back into my bag before..." he hacked again, shaking as his dentures fell out. He wiped them on his shirt and placed them back in his mouth, wincing at the crunch as he spit out some more of the graveyard dirt that the wipe hadn't removed. "Before someone tries to take advantage..."
|
"Crap..." a figure in an apron growled from behind a hideous, metal mask that seemed to be soldered and stuck with spikes to his face. "Where are those bastards? They did this shit last year... RAAAA! They'd better show up to pitch or I'm going to serve them up for this stupid contest next year..." It would probably be a bad idea to approach for this particular event at this time.

Isuku rested on the roof of the building, Her hands planted on the edge of the gutter, while one leg dangled off the edge. She’d been away for awhile, as it was in her nature to come and go as she pleased, but in the end she always found her way back to him. This time he seemed busy so she waited to greet him, instead she just relaxed and passed the time people watching.

I was taken into a hug from Kazakura, causing me to hug her back gently. It had been a while since that night I spoke with her, the day after getting Death. I was about to ask her how she was, when a male came barreling through the crowd and asked if I was a vaspire. Of course I knew the common man's reaction- many wanted me and the other dead, obviously. I was a blood sucker and one who prayed on other's lust. Actually, today happened to be the day that I grew another year older, now being seventeen. I would look at the crowd with a raised eyebrow, as though asking them 'your taking the word of a random person?'. However, it was Kazakura who they were looking to, to deal with the vaspire. She would take my and the stranger's arm after saying that she would investigate the matter and pulled us away as she asked him if he was crazy, but I would add, "You don't ask such things!" We would come into an alley and I would look at the other with a glare in my eyes. I really did not think that he was very sane if he was truly asking this. Why would he ask that of the generations were only Priestesses. I would glare at him with gray eyes as I would ask him, "If I am a vaspire, what does it matter?" Actually, I feared running into my old master within the village- he was a vaspire hunter, he had said, and hunted other creatures in the past and could still do so. The old man with the power of fire could be closer then I thought.

| Adrian worked on the metal his master had given him to work into something. Adrian wasn't sure what form the item would take, but it was speaking to him. He was folding the metal, his mind working a mile a minute as he worked. He put the metal against the heated opening before he lowered block after block to press the metal against the heat. Smiling he dusted his hands off before he grabbed a towel and began wiping the sweat from his body. With a grin he pulled the top of the Yakuta up once more. He pulled it shut and looked around, before stepping outside. He looked up at the roof where a foot dangled. He shook his head before he folded his arms over his chest, and leaned against the opening in the front of the Black Smith shop. The Devil's Teardrop sat off to the side, resting against the wall, sheathed in the black cherry wood sheath that Adrian had designed himself. But the way it was set the symbols of "Angel", "Man", and "Devil" were hidden, facing the wall.
"So it's there, my homage due. Clutched by, the still of the night. Now I feel, feel you move. And every breath, breath is full. So it's there my homage due. Clutched by, the still of the night. Even the distance feels so near. All for the love of you..." he sang softly as he stood there.
It was a song he'd heard before but, he wasn't sure where it had come from.

My long foxy ears twitched hearing the words drift from below my position. My heart did a back flip of joy as I Smiled. “Always singing, I think maybe you were a bird in an other life.” I say hopping down from the roof “A handsome bird at that” I add with a wink. I’d allowed the illusions that hide my tail and ears to fall for the moment, my excitement over running my concentration. “It’s a beautiful day, Adrain-sama, come walk with me…” I would plead, both my hands clasping his with the most adorable eyes I could muster to get him to say yes.

| | The Dark Tourney - Part 1: Pre Battle Karnival Location: Gothstone, Moonbucks
My foot pushes down the kickstand of my motorcycle and I lean it to the side allowing it to stand on its own as I lift my leg over it and come to stand to its side. I was on lunch break from an acting gig one of my uncle’s acquaintances was able to set up for me, so I decided to come to the Moonbucks café and grab something to eat and see how Akera was doing. I was a lot happier having come back from the past to the future. I was able to see my mom, who was worried sick about me, and it seemed that time hadn’t moved as quickly here as it did in the past. It felt like time may have resumed here the day those demons attacked in the past, but I couldn’t really be for sure with that. Either way, it didn’t matter. I was back attempting to return to normalcy as much as possible, since I still needed to make money for my family. I would train in my spare time, but I had to schedule a time to go back in the past and seek out Ashram to continue my training.
For some reason, it seemed like a really nice day. Nothing bad was happening and the birds were singing, the girls were looking good, and I hadn’t messed up any lines. Of course, extras didn’t have many lines, but that was beside the point. At this time I wore a pair of dark slightly baggy denim jean shorts, a black t-shirt with Natsuki’s band logo on the front with an unbuttoned white and blue patterned short sleeved button-up shirt in a pair of tennis shoes.
I step away from the blue sports motorcycle, laying the helmet on the stand behind the seat before making my way towards the front doors of the café. They seemed to be doing well, business wise. There were people in the outside tables enjoying their various brews. The doors open as a couple walks through it, and I catch the door, moving through it next and coming into the coffee shop. After walking in and coming into the interior, my gaze shifts around and I notice Akera moving around cheerfully. With a smile, I approach and speak, “yo Akera. You look busy.”

After the question had been left my lips the reaction from people around was one I had failed to take into consideration. For a moment I actually felt fear, but it was only a momentary feeling that quickly was replaced by excitement. These people were much different than ignorant humans that I’d grown up around, had I been back in my own time such a question would barely receive a thought besides the thought that I was insane or just strange. Here, however, the simple question invoked fear, so much so that the people were already thinking of burning one of us alive. While I seriously doubted that anyone of this people were a threat My hand slide back to rest on the hidden hilt of my Katana, that lay out of view under my long red jacket, a grin crossing my lips. Just as I’m about to pull my sword, the woman, who is apparently some sort of priestess grabs us both and drags us away. Caught off guard I follow as she speaks. “I did apologies before hand,” I said in the thick Romanian accent and chuckle as we came to stop in an alley. “Perhaps I am the slightest bit lacking in sanity, but there was no harm done thanks to your wits right?” I complimented her and then looked to the boy who seemed very upset. Seeing this my features take on a more serious expression. “Forgive me, the prospect of finding another like myself over shadowed my judgement, I meant no harm to a fellow brother” I explained looking back over to the priestess. “And I most certainly did not mean to cause such an elegant woman trouble.” I studied the boy a moment, he seemed familiar, a lot like Brice in a way and wondered. “Do you dislike what you are?” I ask then remember my manners “Oh how rude, My name is Raziel” I introduced myself.

| "Isuku-san." he said, smiling before he pulled her into the shop. "Better not let anyone see your tails or your ears. They might get the wrong impression."
He smirked and poked his head in a doorway before calling inside. "Oi! Sensei! I'm going out! I'll return later."
With that he removed the weight from the metal, quenched the blade, and set it aside before closing the hatch. The fire would consume the oxygen inside the furnace before going out. He smirked and slid the Devil's Teardrop into his blood red sash, before he nodded to Isuku. His jaw was the only part of his face visible behind the skull mask. Though he did contemplate removing it. But that would compromise what the people of the village thought of him.
"Come along Isuku-san. We can go for that walk now, just be sure to keep your wits about you." he said.

| The sunlight pierces thru the wooden window panes and waking up next to a bottle of wine, I feel flesh next to me, but I realize that there is one thing that I do miss about being home... home... such a distant concept to me it would seem. It feels like ages have past since I last stood on Onitoshian ground or since I have openly flow free of concern for mortals spotting me. The mortals... I still cannot seem to understand why I can't reach Onitoshi from this realm. I also do not understand how it is that very few, like dismally few, spirits roam this realm in comparison to the humans. I often wonder why I am trapped here, but I have begun to accept my fate and place here. I am amassing quite a network of allies and soon... very soon, I will gather them to me and if I cannot return to my home in Xartias, then I will create a new Xartias in this realm of old. I must make sense of all of this and undercover the reason for my being trapped here.
Looking around the room in Hejar where I tend to rest and regroup often, I walk over to the window. As my gaze sweeps the area, I notice clusters of people in random places and as I focus my vision on a particular crowd, I notice between the bodies standing by some sign... is that a... clown? And why does that clown look insane? Looking back to the female in my bed as she stirs, I smile before I put on my clothes and walk out of the room.
I walk down to the tavern owner behind the bar serving the morning customers drinks and breakfast and he smirks, "You're up early for once." I nod and tell him that the great spirits stirred me from my slumber. My eyes draw attention towards my room and I request, "Do me a favor and tell her that I had to leave for business. Also, can you send someone to pick up flowers and sneak them into the room while she's still sleeping?" He smirks and nods to me. I tell him that I'll probably be back in a week or so.
Heading out to area where I saw the crowd, the sign catches my attention and I start to inspect it carefully. "Touch here to go..." I smirk figuring that if my powers over the Void can't transport me to Onitoshi then this is some prank. While I am observing the sign though, I notice that most others cannot. There are a few around me who are also reading it and one of them speaks, "All your souls belong to us..." Pausing for a moment, he speaks to the rest of us, "This is a message from the great spirits! This is showing us the way to salvation. Of course they would hide it from those of weak faith!" He touches the place where it says to touch and he vanishes(?). I consider that it is either a trap or for real and either way, I will get to see another realm that I have only heard about or I'm going to be able to enjoy one very good fight! Either way... I will be happy!

I placed a hand on Rei's shoulder and took a deep breath. "Calm, Rei. He is obviously not from around here." I glanced up and down the walkway between the buildings and a bright sign at the end of the alleyway caught my sight. "What in the heavens?" I murmur as I walk towards it reading it. I barely listened to the other man as I studied the sign. "All your souls are belong to us." I whisper as I walk around the sign eventually coming up to the front again. It looked like a twisted metal sign with neon pink, green, and yellow, with flashing orange. What kind of magic was this? "Rei what do you make of this?" I ask as my hand reaches out and a single, slender digit presses on the sign. Instantly I disappeared and was transported to this strange looking gypsy like event. I was not in the alleyway anymore and the sign was not there. Wonderful I was stuck where ever this place resided.
My silver orbs glanced around as I realized my tiger companion was somewhere else. I had no true protection and I could almost feel the evil in the air. "By the heavens" was my whisper as I remembered that Rei was still in the city and if the mob found them without me, they would assume that the two of them had killed me. Wonderful. This place was scaring me and fear rose high in my throat. Mentally I began to calm myself and push the fear back.
*NPC MOB
The people who had first formed the mob had been talking amongst themselves and decided to go make sure that the 'vampire' did not hurt their precious High Priestess and began to search for the trio. About the time that the priestess had touched the sign and disappeared, the mob found the alleyway and they could be heard gasping. "look" "There they are" "The priestess is gone" "What did you do with the priestess" "Monsters, you killed her and hid the body" Suddenly clubs, pitchforks, and torches appeared in their hands like most angry village mobs can just make magically appear in times of great need. IT was like magically ability that they could just call various farming tools to their hands whenever they felt like lynching someone. The alleyway ended in a high wall with the sign just before the wall. The mob didn't seem to see the sign.

| Locking his arms behind him, Adrian walked through the streets, hoping Isuku would follow him. His hands were locked at the back of his waist, his eyes scanning the crowd as he moved. He frowned when he looked at a sign. He read over the thing quirking an eyebrow behind his mask. This was the past, nothing here had to do with demons or angels, but it never hurt, he supposed. But he didn't know if Isuku would be up for it. They would just need to find it first.
"Isuku-chan. Want to go to a carnival?" he asked, turning to face the red haired kitsune.
He blinked when several children ran past him and stepped back, giving them room to move. As he backed up his hand touched the sign and in an instant he vanished. He reappeared at the Carnival. His head turned quickly as he looked around, taking in his location.
"Who, what, when, where!?" he said, more than asked.
He frowned, his hand dropping to where the Devil's Teardrop was. He frowned, glancing down, his weapon missing from his hip!
"Damn!" he muttered. "Just what I needed."
He cursed mentally, not happy without the weapon near by. But then again he could always try summoning it. But it might not come, and he didn't dare risk the ordeal unless he had to. If the denizens of this world were hostile they probably would have attacked by now. But that didn't mean Adrian could lower his guard. He would have to be even more vigilant.

| | She had just confirmed a couple days ago that she was able to teleport between the time back then and the time now. It made her feel bad knowing this because she could have so easily opened a pathway for everyone to teleport back home already without having to waste those three month's in the past. Clearly time had went on by in this time an again the attack was covered up as though it were some terrorist act. Izumi wasn't concerning herself with that though, right now she was getting her car's fixed, yes cars as in more then one, the Enforcer was still technically under her name and then her own private car. She got the Enforcer fixed first and left it at the Division 12 for Jyn to use leaving the key's with him, of course she gave him a copy to the keys and kept the original's for herself. A couple days after the Enforcer was fixed she went and got her own personal car fixed. For now though now that her baby was fixed up and fueled, she was heading back to her home. Today was a day off so she didn't need to go to the division for work today.
It was quite weird being back in this time, maybe she was just more comfortable in the past, but this was home none the less. She was wanting to head home now to get some rest, feeling a little tuckered out from the thing's she had done today. As she drove through Easy City to get to her home, her thoughts ran back toward's the young girl, Akera, she pondered if the girl was going to take her offer about staying in her home. Izumi had a large home a lot of space for someone who lives alone, multiple bed-rooms, most of which she doesn't use, so having a roommate would be nice.
Even then her thoughts did return to that demon who was suppose to be getting a job, he seemed to have up and disappeared. Hopefully for the best he didn't return but only time would tell if he returned or not. For now home was her destination and true concern.

The Priestess had began to walk of and seemed to ignore the smooth talking vaspire. It didn't take long, and I would see that she went to a sign. It attracted me as well, but unlike the Priestess, I did not touch it. I heard this other man's name and turned to him, my eyes narrowed as I was about to ask what he was doing when a mob appeared. My eyes widened as I muttered, "Shit." I turned my head back to him and said, "We have to leave." The words might egg on the crowd, but I needed to leave- I had another form, but I wasn't here to fight off a mob with pitchforks and the like. I would place my hand against the sign as I backed away from the crowd, which the other Priestess would have been too late to see. I would stumble and end up with my back to Kazakura's back. I would back up and end up hitting her back, jumping and turning around, one hand on my naginata's pole handle as I stared at Kazakura, blinking before I said, "M-mi'lady Kazakura?" I couldn't believe we were in such a...strange place. I would keep my stance, though not as aggressive towards her, but more defensive since I couldn't tell what was really around this place. I was glade that Kazakura was safe, but wondered where in the hell we were.

It was interesting to see Akera dressed up like this. It was akin to Natsuki’s cosplay but on a much deeper level. A side of me liked the uniforms they were made to where here. I could just imagine Akera, wearing something like that in my house and serving me lemonade and bacon saying things like “is it to your liking, big brother?...” or “I made it especially for you, big brother.” Though a straight look remains on my face, my chibi inner child was in the process of hugging itself and twisting back and forth with hearts growing over his head as I think about these things. Remembering that she was like a sister to me, my semi perverted gaze focuses on her face as she turns to greet me, a casual and soft smile greeting her glance. “Nothing much,” I answer her question, “I’m in the area with some gig… I’m an extra in a B rated movie production. The director is a douche, but it’s money. Since I was nearby, I just came here to check up on you and see how your new job was going. It looks like you’re really good at this.” Placing my arm on my bicep, I ask in an overprotective tone, “there’s no one around here I got to beat up for messing with you, do I? If anyone messes with you, you just let me know and I’ll put them through a wall.” With my new fire punch I might actually be able to do it. Moving on after her answer, I’d ask, “have your taken your break yet? Want to get some air?”

| The Dark Tournament - Carnival At first I remained silent as I thought on what she had said. Glancing back at her I nod faintly, " Good, we need someone back at the den to make sure thing's don't fall apart.. Perhaps next time he can come with us to see what it is like here. " falling silent for a moment turning my gaze back to the side walk ahead of me. As I continued moving along the side walk I began to feel something calling out to me. " Hmmm " I murmur lightly as I come to a stop at a four way intersection. The feeling of being drawn somewhere grew stronger as I moved forwards, though now that I had come to a stop I attempt find the source of the feeling. It only took a moment before I brought my gaze to rest upon a sign on the other side of the street. The sign looked different compared to the others I had spotted on the street and something about it was calling to me, urging me to come to it. Looking away from the sign, I look to Azhure for a moment before turning my gaze back to the sign and begin to move across the street once the cars had come to a stop, not wanting to get hit by any of the speeding hunks of metal. The closer I came to the sign the stronger the feeling felt and as I came upon it I came to a stop and glanced over the writing on it. " A carnival. " I say, my gaze shifting to the spot on the sign that said to touch it to go to the carnival. Looking away from the sigh, I look to Azhure again, " .. Let's see what this is? " I ask as I reach out, pausing for a moment before I place my hand on the spot it said to touch to be transported to this carnival.

With my arm looped around hers I hold the door open for us before moving out while talking about said previously mentioned gig. “…so I totally kick this alien between the legs and he’s all like ‘oh, you kicked me between the legs’ and I’m all like ‘hell yeah, I did’ and then he was all like ‘zap’ with his laser gun thing.” I lead the way walking down the side walk with nowhere in particular as the destination; it just felt good to be able to walk with her and talk like we used to in the rare moments of peace where Natsuki wasn’t drawing attention from everyone in the known vicinity. I continue, “but I’m just a comic relief extra, so I get killed without any lines. It’s not going to be anything too cool, just my name in credits again. I guess all of this stuff will be funny to look back at when I get famous. My uncle seems to think this will lead me to bigger and better roles.” In a sense, he was betting on it, with the pit bull in a skirt as my drill sergeant and path motivator. I smile softly as I rub the back of my neck with my free hand, the one opposite Akera. “I don’t know,” I admit, “I don’t see how this is going to make me the next action star, but I guess it’s better than nothing…”

| | My steps took me out of the cafe when Seiki held the door for me. It was good to spend a little bit of time with him without Natsuki picking on us. She loved being the center of attention or making me the center of attention. I preferred taking second or third case. But while I was gone, I had missed them. Natsuki for her outrageous behavior and Seiki for his brotherly attitude. I listened to him talk about his job and was generally interested. He wanted fame and fortune just like I did. Just like Natsuki. But I wanted it to prove that I could pull myself out of the gutter of a hard life. I really didn't know why Seiki wanted it. A giggle escapes me as I get an image of Seiki kicking an Alien in the.. "Are you at least enjoying yourself?" I think about his question for a moment and remembered my lost art supplies. "It will make you an action star because you enjoy it, because you want it. As long as you show how much you want it in each take, in each small part. It will be your best. And eventually someone will see your best and your career will take off. When I paint or draw, I put my all into it and people say how good it is. I put everything into it and it comes out as my best. People like it, eventually I may even get noticed by the big wigs. But at least I know that I put forth my best effort and I am happy with that. That's all you have to worry about really, are you happy with your performance? Was it your best? If the answer is no, do it again until it is your best." I nodded sagely and the smiled. As quick as that inner advice came to me it left. My seriousness disappeared and I was back to the little Kameko that everyone knew, awkward and princessish. That was when I tripped over some little twisted stop sign that looked like it could have been put there by an elf. Or a midgit dressed as an elf. "What?" I ended up on the ground on my knees, showing off my black panties. Turning around I scoot into a kneeling position as I reached out. "This is some joke, eh seiki?" I touched it without reading it and disappear.
When I appeared in the carnival, I was still kneeling but the sign I was touching was not there. So I ended up back in the same position with my rear end up in the air and my skirt slipping down to show of the black panties. Quickly I jump to my feet and look around. IT was creepy and looking behind me I noticed that I wasn't in Gothstone anymore. There was a rather scary looking man, with a metal mask to my side at some sort of booth thingy or whatever you wanted to call it. He was muttering and cursing about something. Fear rode my body as I stood looking so out of place, yet perhaps so in place with my outfit. A black, puffy skirt that came down to my upper thighs, black silk panties and black knee high boots with pink lacings. A pink peasant shirt that left my shoulders bare, and a black corset worn on the outside of the shirt accompanied the get up. The corset had straps that went over my shoulders and pink lacings. My hair was in pigtails again with black and pink bows. Swallowing my fear I take a few steps toward the man in the ugly mask. "Excuse me, sir. But where am I?"

| Adrian's eyes scanned the area around him. His ivory mask seemed to attract some attention to himself but he didn't really care what anyone else thought or cared about it. It gave him comfort. That's all he needed to know to care about the mask. He moved forward toward the carnival, his eyes narrowing. It seemed much like one on earth though twisted to a degree. He looked around at the place around him. It was strange, these things looked familiar but at the same time they were so alien to him. But he had only ever been to a carnival once with his grandmother. Had it been an Oni carnival? That wouldn't make sense. Sure he'd been able to see spirits since he was young but he was almost sure he'd never seen them as a child.
"This just gets stranger and stranger. What the hell is going on here..? I don't understand this. Why would demons have a carnival." he said, frowning when he saw a sign, going on about the tournament. "Well that would certainly explain why they would have a carnival... Better be careful then."
Though he would feel much better with the Devil's Teardrop at his hip. He felt naked without the weapon but he was still capable. He could always try summoning it to him and seeing exactly how strong that willful bastard sword was. Growling as he walked toward the midway games of the carnival. It was a place to start in this place.

With a nod, I assure her, \"mm, I'm actually enjoying myself a lot.\" In my pause, she speaks. Turning to her, I look at her face for a moment as she speaks, before turning back to the front to continue listening as I walked beside her. From the sound of things, it sounded like she had done some growing up in the time she was away. She reverts to her normal self after showing me this other side and I smile sheepishly and agree, \"yeah, you're right. I'll be sure to do my best... but fighting is what I do!\" I give a cocky grin before that face goes away as I notice Akera trip over something. A sweat drop descends the side of my head; she really was hopeless and clumbsey afterall. My gaze follows her down as she falls and I come to her side to help her up. A small line of blood lowers from my nose as I notice the panties, but my gaze lifts back up to her face as I attempt to help her. She draws attention to something and I look at the sign with an, \"eh?\" With that, she was gone. I emit another \"eehh!!?\" seeing her no longer near me. I move all around the sign and look from here to there for a moment, wasting time as I attempt to see if Akera had fallen in a gutter or something like that. I go to grab the sign, to look into it for her and then I find my body undergo some sort of dislocation. I look around to notice forests and a carnival. From this, I knew one thing... I must have been warped to another dimension again.
\"No fucking way!\" I yell out as I drop to my knees in despair. \"I'm tired of being fricken warped!\" I acclaim before lowering my body and slamming my fist into the ground. I didn't really care about the people around me at the moment, since I was busy being dramatic. I look up and realize, \"I've got to find Akera!\" I wouldn't let what happened to her last time happen again. I would find her!

| When my hand touches the creative yet demented looking, octagon shaped sign, I vanish from Hejar and suddenly everything goes dark. If anyone saw me vanish, they would probably think that the heat was playing tricks on their mind but with a cloak covering my features, I am not all that worried. This isn't a normal teleportation which concerns me a bit because this feels like I'm moving thru a slide of sorts and as I near the end, I hear strange yet melodic music playing. My body appears on solid ground and I look around me as I believe I have moved into the twisted mind of numerous demons that I know. This is definitely something that they would dream of. Looking around outside of the Karnival, I can't help but be attracted to the intriguing atmosphere within, so I enter thru the front gates and look around. I would definitely love to meet the mind behind this place as they are either certifiably mad or possess a dark brilliance that I would greatly benefit from. Looking around, I idly check out the booths and different acts along my walk. I saw something about being a fighter or entering some tournament, so I am intrigued about finding more information about that. Perhaps there is a gym or something around here for me to check out. I had not thought about fighting for sport and fun, but perhaps I will find something to make it worth my while to compete and test myself. I wonder if my powers still have the same magnitude as they did before I was confined to the Realm of Old.

| Winged goblins wax off the stained glass on the building and flap their leather wings, setting fires on different torches and ensuring that the display would be visible from far away. A few of them flap off and begin spreading the word to the ones already in the twisted realm, and bats fly around the building dramatically, shrieking the entire way. A few more of the gargoyles light the large, black chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and Darci does her hair in a mirror on the wall. "Borace! Go fetch the plague rats and... oh dear..." she hovers over to a window and looks out over the carnival. "I wonder what the turnout's going to be like this year..." A particularily large ogrish demon makes his way next to her, having apparently materialized from the shadows. "I wouldn't worry much about it. Uhh... the people said the plague rats were on backorder..." "Oh come on, again? How about the scorpions?" "There's a recession, they said. Their primary suppliers had to make cutbacks and..." "Drat!" she pounded her pretty fist against the sturdy stone of the wall. "I guess we'll have to go with plan B if all of the suppliers are like that. The show must go on..."

The old man stood up once again, his knees knocking together as he tried to scoop the money back into his bag and failed. "Oooooh deeeeear!" he cried out insistent. A few of the mascots passed by, almost avoiding the area as though having had some unpleasant experience with this particular old man in the past.
|
The man turned towards the small woman who seemed to have fallen into his area, his black knuckles whitening around his meat cleaver. "You bunch are showing up already? Grrr... I guess it is that time." He turned, seeming to ignore her as his huge knife came down into the carcass of some half-conscious creature. It cried out in protest as its ribs gave way with a resounding crunch. And then he changed his mind, turning to the girl. "You've heard of the Dark Tournament? What am I asking, bah, of course you haven't. You're some little girl. I guess you must have some sort of gift since you're here..." he brought the cleaver down again. This time the protest from the monster was much weaker. "This realm only comes into existence for the strongest of the strong to battle among themselves. I am tied to this festival, as are some of the others you see. We only exist when it's here... ha ha ha..." he brought down the knife again, this time drawing no response whatsoever from the giant rabbit thing he butchered. He lifted the ribs from the animal and hung them up on his dirty, bloody cart. "I guess a little thing like yourself wouldn't be interested in an eating contest, would you? Ha ha ha..." His laugh was as mirthless as the smile of the sphinx, and his voice echoed in the helm that was obviously too small for his head.

| | The Dark Tourney - Part 1: Pre Battle Karnival Location: ??? Carnival Gates
After looking back up, I look out and notice others had been seemingly teleported here. On greater examination, it seemed as if other people were as discombobulated as I was. Since I wasn’t alone in my plight, I calmed down a bit and began to think upon the words of my sensei. He spoke to me about the power of my own emotions, and though it sucked incredibly large testicles that I had somehow gotten warped to some alternate realm twice in the same year, I knew that I had to face the task of returning home calmly and rationally. My first objective would be to find Akera and from there, I would find a way back to the city; I just hoped that we hadn’t been pushed back in time again. Of course, there was the option of enjoying the carnival, but something just didn’t seem right about being forced to go somewhere that seemed to want to lure you into it. I begin to walk and that is when I notice an ominous masked figure. “Oh shit…” I murmur lightly.
I appear next to Ashram as I greet, “sensei… you’re here too?” Though he wore a mask, I pretty much knew my teacher when I saw him lurking. Around the time I greet him, I realize that I did not have the sword which he entrusted to me on my personage at the time. Of course, it was at home in a safe place, since you couldn’t just walk around the city with swords on like the old days; but I felt bad about not having it in case he asked about it. Moving past that, I assume, “since you’re here, that must means I’m in the past and this is the forest. Oh, we found a way back to the future, sensei!”

| The Dark Tournament - Carnival Before I could reply to Azhure I touched the sign and things went black for a moment before I could see things again. As I began to glance around I could tell I am no longer in the city, but somewhere else, though not sure where. Before I could fully servy my surroundings before I someone bump into me before hearing Azhure's voice. " I'm not sure... " I answer as I lift my gaze to the gates of the carnival before me. " The sign said something about a carnival, so I would assume we are at it? " Shifting my gaze I look to Azhure, " Unless the sign took us somewhere else. Let's find out? " I ask, smiling faintly at Azhure before I turn and look up at the twisted clown face, " Lets go. " I say as I begin moving, making my way past the twisted clown gate and into the carnival. As I make my way through the gates I begin to shift my gaze, glancing around at different things. Turning my gaze back to the path ahead of me, I expected Azhure to follow after me so I kept my attention fixed on the things in front of me. While gazing ahead of me I glance at some of the booth games this strange carnival had to offer, though I couldn't recall having ever gone to a carnival so this would be my first. " So, you were saying something about this not being good? " I ask, glancing back to Azhure again.

| Glancing to Seiki Adrian nodded, lifting his mask, revealing his face as he looked from his trainee to the carnival around him. His brow furrowed and he nodded lightly as Seiki spoke. He folded his arms over his chest before he turned to Seiki. The martial artist went on about being in the past but Adrian had been transported there as well, not just walked in. He hadn't expected a way back but he was surprised that someone had discovered it. But a way back to the future meant that he could go back to his life, but it would never be the same.
"No. If I'm right this place exists outside of time and space. It exists everywhere and at the same time nothing. So if I had to choose we're somewhere else all together. But I'm surprised you found a way back. Something's been urging me to head east so I began to do just that. But it doesn't matter. What have you done with your time? You found your friend, yes?" he asked, hopeful for some good news, even if it was only for Seiki.
His eyes focused on Seiki before they shifted, his head turning as he looked around. He was trying to find Isuku, she'd vanished on him. But he was hopeful that she would show up. Something was still wrong. He was used to more than most humans, and yet something kept urging him in the back of his mind. He kept feeling something was not right, but no matter how much he tried he couldn't put his finger on it.

I would be happy that she seemed unharmed and relaxed my position as everything seemed... well, as I thought a twisted realm might be like. Lady Kazakura spoke about her not having the bow with her, and I assured her, "I'll protect you, don't worry." I would look around and then nod my head as to what she said, "Yeah... doesn't look like we can really get back via a sign like that..." My gray eyes would move around as I wondered about what was here. I saw not all that much that made me happy. I would fold my arms inside the sleeves of the silk yukata and look around as I wondered if my master would get here. I wasn't much good in my Incubus form, strength wise. I would look at Kazakura and then out at the area and wondered, "What the hell is this place? Did that strange vaspire send us here?" He was still getting on my nerves, even if he wasn't from around here. That guy should know better then to ask about someone being a vaspire, especially in a town like that. After knocking someone down and gaining attention- need my thoughts wonder further into what else he had did wrong? I would release a low sigh and then look around as I wondered what was around here where we had been sent.

| Pulling the mask back into place Adrian frowned, glancing over his shoulder. He saw her but he didn't want her to know he was here. But somehow she always ended up finding him. And he had better things to do than spend the day fighting with someone because she didn't like the way he dressed. Or any other thing she might be harping on this time. He looked back to Seiki and bowed lightly before he walked away, not saying another word. His possible good news had even been ruined because of that damned woman. But there were things that he had to deal with before they confronted one another. It didn't matter. The Soul Eater had been right. He was alone, no matter how much he tried to keep fooling himself. But he could at least keep the facade up for a little while longer.
He might not have any friends, or any allies but that wasn't going to sway him from the task at hand. He had to get stronger first. Perhaps after he was strong enough he could return to modern times, and allow himself the few meager moments of happiness he desired. But the world was changing. And if he wanted to end this war soon he was going to have to move quickly.
"They turn against the world they know. Now our Destiny will be decided. We have to send, our brothers in arms. With pain in our hearts we watched them go. Will they return? Truth is we had no choice. We'll try to shield those we can, no better world will let this end. Mothers cry, our boys die. But we'll stand 'til the end." he said, walking through the crowd.

A nod would follow her statement about the stranger. I thought he was rather strange, but he wasn't the one to send us here. Then why were we here? I would realease a low sigh again and then moved to the gate, getting it for Lady Kazakura and would walk with her like her bodyguard. My eyes narrowed at anything that got too close and my hands twitched just in case I would need to draw one or more of my blades. I would notice that it didn't seem all that dangerous, but then Lady Kazakura spoke up and mentioned that they may not be on Earth. I would blink and look around before she suggest that we find a way to get back- Master Domen'yun might get angry if I wasn't there to do what he wanted. I would move at a pace to get ahead of Lady Kazakura as she headed for a tower. I would tilt my head at the place and stop before the door. I would listen to what Kazakura said- game show. My eyebrow lifted as I wondered what she meant by game show. I knew what a 'game' could be, but what was a show? I would shrug and place one hand on the door and nodded my head as I sucked in some air so that I had some when I went, since I thought that I would be holding my breath. I would push the door or open it (or even knock if I had to do that), ready to react if there was a need to.
