Previously
Very weird looking signs start to pop up at random places around the city and villages in both the future realm and the past realm. They look like twisted stop signs, but are bright colors with the words looking like they were painted on with a paint brush. The main word says “KARNVIAL.” The signs are enchanted to attract people with strong senses, will, abilities and/or magic to it. Normal people aren’t able to see these signs, only people who can see spirits. Every poster has a place that says ‘touch here to go!’ that portals people to the gates of the carnival. The signs work to draw in several entities from the future and past realms. Several people (and demons) find themselves in a very odd place filled with distractions and games. But it is all an illusion.
Currently
“Enough participants have gathered.”
“Everything is complete.”
“We can bring them in…”
--
The forest and skies around the carnival start to spin. The spinning starts off slowly, but then rotates so quickly that everything is a blur. The inside of the carnival area is normal and the barrier holds the realm in place. Suddenly, it the surroundings stop spinning. The trees and forest that were surrounding the carnival area are gone. The temperature rises higher than normal (think Arizona in the summer) but held in check by a MUCH larger invisible barrier that negates the carnival’s local barrier. On the grand scheme, the carnival sits outside of a larger area that dwarfs it in size (think Epcot vs Disney).
The entire carnival realm had been transported to present realm Onitoshi.
--
The sky is no longer there. There is red and burnt brimstone where the sky used to be. There is a clear cut off point where the large and expansive barrier of the tournament realm stops (but the barrier is big… think like the size of Las Vegas… probably…). Outside the barrier, the ground is barren, rocky and burnt. Inside the barrier holding the tournament realm, the grounds feature a yochi-like atmosphere. There is a huge and vast amphitheater constructed in the middle. It is shaped with 6 ovals about a block or two in size surrounding a large oval twice the size of the surrounding ones in the middle. Inside each surrounding "oval" or pod, there is a different type of environment. Surrounding each oval is a spectator area in the form of large unearthly “leaves” and “vines” that have different levels and sections. There are also large magical "screens" that are visible from a long distance that displays the inside of each area. The tournament grounds were teeming with demons. The air is filled with wandering spirits. It is very populated.
The tournament barrier has a “tunnel” portion that connects the Main Area to the Gates of Hell. People will be able to exit here out of the gates of hell if they request directions to it (or follow the really long line of “earth soil and grass” that leads away from the tournament). Hell’s portal is about a 1 mile walk. The Gates of Hell brings the person to its default location in the present realm (at the bottom of that one Lake).
There are demons here looking to make a profit. They take human money in both realm currencies. There are areas for gambling, food vendors, junk dealers and other merchants either, game shows, and even lodging.
--
A large centaur demon stands at the south gate of the carnival. This would be the gate facing the tournament area which was only about a half block away. The centaur has the lower body of a massive horse like beast and the upper body of a humanoid bull. He has large pierced horns and wore a TapOut shirt. He growls and yells across the carnival.
“You have been brought into the realm of hell to battle for your lives. Those who will accept this, come to me! Those who will watch, go to the arena. Those who want to leave or who are too weak to protect themselves… I suggest you go the fuck home! The gates of hell are that way… You’re fighting for recognition in the demon world. You’ll be fighting for rewards not available in Yochi. Consider yourself lucky, ya bastards! Now step up and I’ll go over the ground rules… ya bastards!”
He waits for the contestant to line up. While he does this, a hellhound in glasses and a graduate cap and gown walks up beside him and sets up a small table. He hangs a banner from the table that says “sign ups.” He smiles at whoever may approach and speaks in an English accent.
“Name and race please!”
My post dun negate what you guys are already doing, but it interrupts the hell out of it xD The barrier does not keep people from exiting and wandering around Onitoshi. Humans will be affected by the Onitoshi atmosphere if they go outside the barrier and travel to other areas.

Adrian's eyes opened silently when the baby thing he'd been handed bit his hand. He glanced at it before it pointed. Shrugging he picked it up, setting it on his shoulder as he rose to his full height. Slipping the cherry wood sheath into place at his hip he moved silently. He carried himself as he usually did, his stride balanced, his shoulders slumped ever so slightly. The way a person walked or carried themselves could tell a person volumes about their character. His eyes narrowed as he went, his gaze shifting as the thing on his shoulder played with his hair. Every time it touched the ribbon keeping the mask in pace, he slapped it's hand away, so his hand was constantly up on his head.
He made his way to the coliseum, not sure what was going to happen but he would at least get to fight. Not something he had come to do but then again before that lard had fallen on him he'd have probably not done a lot. It was something strange even to the swordsman that stood in Hell. He moved as silently as he could, not trying to attract attention. He finally grabbed the thing off his shoulder, carrying it as he went. He was more than pissed at the thing, but as he understood it he needed it. And he wasn't going to be bored out of his mind.
He paused in his tracks hearing someone shouting about giving up part of people's souls. Shaking his head he moved forward, taking half the money from his wallet, before putting it in the spirit's hand as he passed. Even here in the depths of Hell human money was used. And four thousand, seven hundred and fifty dollars was a large amount none the less.
"Here, use it however you see fit." he said, before walking away.

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament ... Time: ?? ... Location: Future Realm > Confusion
It was an odd feeling. To me, it was a day much like any other day, but there was something missing. At first it was hard to put my finger on it, but eventually around the afternoon time, I, as well as several within the organization of Division 12, came to realize “…where are all the spirits today?” Though spiritual activity was low during the day, it was still ever present. For all practical purposes, today was one of the best days at work I’ve had at the Division. I wondered if something happened in order to pull all of the spiritual activity away from the city, but on the other hand I had my fear that something ominous was in the workings. I knew that this lull in spiritual activity could be considered the calm before the storm. With that said, at least my unit would not be unprepared for when demonly disaster strikes.
I knew that acting preemptively was better than waiting for something to happen and helped mitigate loses when something did occur. There was a break in paperwork and Izumi wasn’t answering her phone. Deciding not to be cooped up in the office all day, I call up my team to prepare to move out. I don my work attire and strap up to meet with a unit in the Lower Commons. If history was an indicator of anything, if there was something in the making, it would start in the Lower Commons and escalate to the city. In my mind, my team would be in place to scan for hidden spiritual activity and act if the call came in from HQ to move. It was my ‘hunch.’
I make my way from my office and to my car. With my rank, I was able to secure a parking spot in front of the Division. I proceed to drive away from HQ, exiting the protective bubble around the city’s core as I make my way to the commons. Once there, I park across from where my team would be and where our Division 12 van would be situated. Stopping at the parking meter, I reach in my pocket for my card to pay the meter. I pay the meter, move to the trunk of my car, and pull out a duffle bag with the supplies I would carry to the van to store there in case I needed them. Strapping it onto my shoulder, I then close the trunk and move to the side walk. Setting the alarm, I notice my shoe untied. I crouch down by an odd sign that seems to be set unnaturally on the side walk. Not really paying any attention to it, I use it to help myself up… and poof.

As I approached, I noticed that Seiki had been replaced by another male of strangely good looks. I felt a tug similar to the tug that Rei had for me the last time I saw him. Weaving my way gracefully through the crowd I stopped when I reached them, the pin and such on my person that said staff. The dark pin clashed a bit with my silver dress. The man standing with Domen was strangely erotic and I could feel myself being attracted by him. But I did not let that show as I looked questioningly between them. Then I glanced about for Seiki questioning his whereabouts in my mind. He seemed to have wandered off. In an effort to forestall any questions about my status as staff wait until the two of the males were finished speaking before saying, “Apparently they are short on healers.” A slender should rises and arches in a shrug as I wait to find out what they will be doing next. But at least this gave me a safe issue. My eyes catch the massive tiger and I grin. Kaelas had made it here after all. My hand raises as I wait for the beast to come for a pet.
Kaelas glanced at his mistress and rose from his position on the ground to his full height before paddind around to just behind her. Then he leaned his head over her shoulder for a quick chin and neck rub by his mistress. A look of pleasure crossed his face as he was stroked slowly by that slender hand. Down the fur of his neck she slowly stroked. Long digits running through the soft fuzz on the feline.

I was totally oblivious to the growling hoax just as I was oblivious to the growling demons. My arms hung loosely around the strange demon on my lap more for his protection in case someone tried to hurt him. But he was free to move about or get down if he chose. The names on the board soon caught my attention and I eeped happily when I saw a specific one. "Seiki is here and he's fighting. Awesome. But there aren't that many humans fighting, Hoax. It means that the humans fighting must be strong to be pitting themselves against demons. Right?" This was turning out to be rather fun after all. I had a neat little friend I had met, I was sitting right in the middle of a bunch of demons without feeling much fear, mostly because they were not human in appearance. The only true demon I had ever met had been human in appearance and I had kept me for two days in a cave, blinded, while he raped me repeatedly. I shuttered as my eyes gained that haunted look as I was caught up in the memories. The ones that looked like monsters were less scary, since you could tell they were monsters. It was the ones that appeared human that were truly scary. A boy with wings walked by shouting something about miracles and pieces of your soul and the great Shinnytrey. What a strange name. So I flagged him down and asked. "How much for one of these miracles?" A bright smile on my face.

Song:
"Why kill?" I asked with a bit of wonder in my voice. I was truly curious as to why he would just want to kill anyone who cam along. Why he was bent on destruction. I might as well get to know how demons think if I was going to be hanging about one for awhile. "Not to worry, you have my support, I just don't see the point of a killing spree when it is just a simple tournament." I was naive to the ways of most of the world. I knew that some humans killed without thought and so did demons, I just never understood the reasons behind that kind of thought process. It never ceased to amaze me at how demons reacted. I had known only a few in my stay on earth. Most of the time I tended to stay away from them. I had no want of death so soon and most of those demons had been out for my blood.

The information he was feeding me through his mental images made me sit back with shock. This was a powerful man. He had even beaten Valkirst in the forest of Solvay. That made me smile that Valkirst was brought down by someone. As he speaks, I reach for the cup that had been brought and set before me. Taking a sip, the liquid glides down my throat and I close my eyes and purr in pleasure. The sound came from deep within produced by a combination of the beverage and the longing for more than a cave in the wilderness. This was a first for me and I slowly sip it to savor each drop. My tongue slips out to capture and drop that may of strayed to my lips, slowly licking them for good measure. When I open my eyes again, his words hit me like a ton of bricks. “If I am reading this right, you want me to serve you in return for giving me that which I crave. And in serving you, I will return to Valkirst?” I wait for the answer and nod, “I do not know if he truly cares for me or just my body. He raped me the first day he met me. I cared for him while that memory lay dormant in my mind. I am not sure if I can continue to do so now that I remember. I almost died from an infection after he tore up my shoulder.” Then I sighed. “I still have feelings for him, but I am scared of him. He is much stronger than me, even after his death and rebirth. I am not sure what to do. Revenge is what is part of me is screaming, where as another part just wants to forget.” Another soft sigh escapes me as I think about it. “I have no problem with serving you if you maintain your word.”

The screens around the tournament grounds are updated. The tournament rosters and the match-up are posted for everyone to see. A large count down tickers down from 10 mins at the bottom of the screen. The coin phase "KillEm!" lines the side of the screens in grungy bold text. The graphic design on the names and interface on the screen is kind of like how ESPN would have theirs. A PIP window pops up with the commentators getting ready for the main events. There are two commentators, Bill and Mark. Bill is a red devil like oni with black horns with long hair and a neck tie and Mark is fully covered in a cloak with a scythe on his back and a bow tie. His voice doesn't match his body.
"So here we are at the Dark Tournament, Mark! Isn't this great?" "That's right, Bill, it looks like we're going to see some good fights today." "I wonder what type of battle arena's they will have for the first round?" "Who knows, Bill, who knows? They're guaranteed to be great!" "Well, we should know in the next ten minutes, I can't wait..." {...continued}
The super chaotic psycho baby cherubs aka SpiritBuddies are activated. They put their hands to their ears and nod like agent smith in the matrix. They are updated with the information to when and where everyone would be having their first match. The matches would run simultaneously in the 7 arenas.
The homeless angel hobo takes the money. He looks at it confused. He looks up to Adrian with large watery eyes. He sees Adrian's back with bubbles and sparkles in a super cool manner.
"What a righteous act of charity!! I can't give him a miracle without faith... but maybe... just maybe... I can give him something."
A golden halo forms over Adrian's head as he walks away. It hovers about three inches over his head. It seems pretty permanent and it's not clear what it does yet, but it gives him a soft glow.
The angel turns around and sees Akera.
"Oh hi miss. How much? A very small price! The great and mighty Shintrey only requires 10% of your soul (10% bio EXP). The process is very simple. It only requires a prayer and a baptism. It's very discrete and happens in an alternate realm. "
The angel murmurs something quickly abut how the miracle gets inside of the person.
"...but how about it?"

Hearing the confirmation of the events and hearing her explanation of their relationship status, I cannot help but envision the pain of this young woman. Fate is a tricky, tricky thing. "Do not worry yourself, Azhure. You will have what you need so that you never have to fear Valkrist or anyone again. I will send you back to him when you want to return. Service to me is not a term of imprisonment, but freedom. You will be free to learn what you wish to learn and do what you wish to do. Some of your tasks or missions may not always be of your choosing, but they will be necessary to the success of my plans." I look at her as she sighs. "Never forget the pain that others have caused you, but rather use it to fuel you to become stronger, so that you will not have to feel that pain again. You will feel pain in my training of you, Azhure, but that pain will be a constant reminder of your weakness being purged from your body." Sipping my wine, I notice the floating cherub observing in the room. I speak to it telepathically, "What do you want?" The cherub tells me that he is here to guide me to the tournament. I ask him what tournament. He tells me that I was registered to fight in the tournament that they are having and that he is my guide and aide. I ask how I was registered when I never agreed to fight. He tells me that one of my servants did it. I sigh and turn my attention back to Azhure, "I welcome you to my service, but I have a simple question for you... how will you prove your loyalty to me above all others? Prove to me that you are ready to receive all that I have to offer you."
With the crazy religious people walking around, the servant soldier (one of 50 Onitoshi personnel) hears rumors about who I may be fighting and looks at the young angelic creature. "I will sacrifice a portion of my soul to buy this Miracle of Shintrey for my master, Prince Psyre of Xartias. May he allow my master to forgive my rashness."

Adrian didn't seem to notice the halo hovering over his head as he went. The Cherub baby thing guided him toward the arena he'd be fighting in, though he wasn't sure who he'd be facing. He moved patiently through the crowd of fighters and eventually sat down, his eyes closing again as he put the baby down. It fluttered up and over him, playing with the halo that hovered there, but he didn't seem to notice. He was one of the only human beings fighting in this tournament. But then again he was one of the most powerful human beings that he'd ever come across. None of them were as strong as he was, and those that were, usually turned out to be demons or kami in disguise. He breathed slowly as he drew the Devil's Teardrop from his hip. He set the tip against the ground as he pressed the hilt to his mask. He breathed slowly as he meditated, as if communing with the spirit of the sword itself. He breathed very slowly as he sat there.
The world around him vanished as he sat there, the darkness enveloping him. The darkness warped, changing to a castle, surrounded by night, and storm clouds. He waited patiently as the draw bridge came down before it came toward him. Clad in a long red cape, with no lower body the skeleton floated. The crown atop it's head indicated that it was royalty of some kind. That or it just enjoyed flamboyant jewelry. He stood there, watching 'Death' approach. The scythe came out of nowhere, the blade driving into his chest where the mark of the Soul Eater was! The world around him shattered, and he was back in Hell, waiting for the tournament to begin. The mark of the Soul Eater was burning, demanding something of him but he just put it out of his mind as he waited for the fight to begin.

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament Location: Tournament Grounds I make my way away from the very large man and his servant and start to mix within the crowd of the tournament grounds. By this time, I had exited the carnival area and was getting closer to the main event. The large screens were apparent, seemingly from everywhere you could think to watch from. I had never been to a tournament on such a grand scale before. It took a while the vastness of this area to sink in; I wondered that if hell were like this, would it really be a bad place? The cherub continues to gnaw on my head, now holding it in place with both hands; I figured he was probably teething or something, but up to this point, I had gained strong defenses in ignoring him. In my thoughts I hear something yelled loud over the buzz of the passerbys. The voice of an angelic lad calls out miracles and random silliness about a god. I turn around and look with a grin on my face that even in a place like this, they had crazed religious nuts running around and calling out odd things. It wasn’t as bad as they yelling, “the end is going to come!” but it was just as ludicrous. As I glance to the tattered angel boy, I notice a familiar figure. Brightening up, I call out, “Akera” and start jogging towards her, glad to have found her once again amongst this chaos. Approaching to her side after calling out and a short jog, I greet, “hey! Found you” before looking to the angel boy. I lower face to Akera ear and say, “don’t give him anything, he’ll only use it to buy booze.”

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament ... Time: 10 minutes until the tournament starts ... Location: Carnival Grounds
“What the fuck?...”
I stand in the middle of a very bright and annoying place, unsure of how I got there. I crouched to tie my shoe and in standing up, it would seem as if either I had been teleported, I were in an illusion, or the area around me was warped. “You’ve got to be screwing me…” I murmur lightly to myself as I visually take in my surroundings. The place didn’t begin to make sense to me; a carnival? My senses push out in all directions with an invisible sphere grid pushing away from my body and my eyes immediately widen as I realize that I was surrounded by spirits. The number of them was immense, much larger than there would ever be in the city. I lower my sensing abilities as I step around to see the lack of sky above me, replaced with a burnt crimson ceiling. In the far distance on one side I notice what appears to be a river of fire and on the other side there was, oddly enough, a superdome with sports screens and a huge populace. “There’s no way in hell…” I murmur, “that I’m in hell…” Immediately I wonder if I were hit by a car and died or something. My hands press over my body, and to me, I -felt- as if I were still physical, but then again, I had never died before.
“You’re in Onitoshi,” comes a voice from within me. The dragon spirit that dwelled within my soul continues as he speaks, “it seems you were teleported here by some means.” The domo-chan earth golem spirit that also dwelled within me seemed to concur with this fact. My thoughts pose my question to them as I ask internally, ‘how do I get out?’ The answer comes from the dragonic male, ‘you’ll have to find and escape from the gates of hell.’ I sigh; it seemed like a daunting task had been set before me. I, a human who hunted and killed demons for being within the city of humans, had come to the city of demons. “Fucking great…” I murmur. For now, however, things seemed to be peaceful enough. There didn’t seem to be large monsters fighting one another; it was like the place was highly organized. Remembering Sanzo, I could understand that if other demons were like him, then hell could have very humanistic areas within it.
The area where I was, seemed to be sparsely populated and I noticed larger crowds nearer the ‘southern’ end of the carnival grounds nearer the great structure that would be the coliseum. With that in mind, I make my way towards the crowds thinking it would be better to blend in, then to stand out on the outskirts like this.

At some point I barely register the odd haired youth make his exit before my attention is fully focused on my Master and what he has to say. I am deeply disappointed by the news that the exit I had heard about would not restore me to my proper place. I cannot help but worry about how things will go in Harlem without myself or Harlie present. There has never been a time since the camp was established that she and I were absent for more than a single night, and that was with the former leader still there and in charge. Before I am able to go in to full meltdown mode, the master continues to speak, citing that my presence in this strange place is no accident and since he is here and my purpose is to serve him, my place right now is here. That goes a decent way to making me feel better about being absent from Harlem... until he inquires about the situation there. "When I left everything was fine in Harlem, but I cannot begin to guess how long that will last in the absence of both Harlie and myself. Such a circumstance has never happened before without advanced notice and our duties covered by someone else. I am sure proper protocol for this kind of event will be followed." As I finished my response to the Master, I happened to notice that a female had come to stand very close to where the odd youth had been before. Since I did not know this woman, or her connection to the master, I would not take it upon myself to interact with her, but instead fall into a respectful silence to let her address my lord. 292 Interaction: Domen! – STOP TYPING HERE>

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament Location: Carnival Region With a nod, I accept these words. My arms stayed fastened securely about my chest as I ponder Qyn’s words. He brought up a good point, that there was no backup plan in the event his body was removed from Harlem. The backup would fall upon those entrusted with leading the security forces, but there was no telling if they were properly briefed. I make a mental note to thoroughly ponder and edify my doctrines of such a scenario on my return. Up to this point, Rei or the Mystic would be charged with this; but their reliability was drawn into question.
My gaze shifts to Kazakura who has arrived back from whatever it was that she had to do. With her words, I judge that she had employed herself as a healer. I frown slightly; it seemed like something a priestess would do, so it made sense that she would do so, though I hadn’t given permission on the issue. Around this time, the others return back to me, the miner, lumberjack and carpenter. They were of no use to me, so I dismiss them, along with the two golem body guards. They could do as they pleased, I didn’t need to worry about ants. Bowing, they take their leave and move to spectate on the events.
Looking towards Kazakura, I advise, “this is Qyn. He is a trusted and loyal servant that is of great use to me.” That was about as much introduction as would be pulled from me. Kazakura was free to introduce herself.
During that time, in the background, the announcement is made that the tournament would be starting soon and my gaze lifts to the large informational screens where the names, commentators and countdown are. With a nod, I understand that I would be called upon soon. There seems to be some movement in the spirit buddy which I was assigned as well. Since the events were starting in the tournament area, my body begins to move in that direction as the coliseum drew me towards it. It was implied that my servants would follow.

I listen to the ‘fine print’ of the contract where I would sell part of my soul for a miracle. I was just about to agree to it when I heard a voice near me and turned with a smile. The demon dog was still in my lap as I reached up and waved at Seiki. “Seiki! You’re here. I saw your name and hoped it was the right Seiki. So you are going to fight in this thing? Right? Well I mean your name is up there… oh I’m just so glad you’re ok.” I smile as my babbling comes to a stop. Then I suddenly remember what he said about the winged boy. “What? How can you use part of a soul to buy booze?” I had the look of utter confusion on my face for a moment trying to figure out if you could buy booze with a soul. My nose wrinkled up in that cute fashion that meant, I was thinking and still didn’t get it. The monsters on either side of me growled at Seiki as he had obviously gotten in their way.

I sat and listened for a moment more, swirling the liquid slowly and lazily around the goblet. My mind was thinking about everything that had gone in the few moments that Tyrn and I had known each other. Not much time, but he was offering me a means to my ends and it was hard to pass up. “Alright then, I will be loyal to you as long as you uphold your end of the deal.” The demented baby flew in and I frowned at it. It was rather freaky looking and I shook my head. His last words made me stop playing with the wine. How would I prove it. Then I smiled at him a gleam in my eye. “Proof of loyalty comes with deeds more than words. Deeds that I have yet to do nor had the time to think clearly on, and it looks like you are being summoned to fight. So let us cut to chase and make this quick and simple. What deed do you require? Name a few and I shall see what I might be able to do in such a short time. For not every deed is the same for every person. “

As he acknowledged me with a swift gaze and a frown, I raised an eyebrow in question. That frown usually meant either I had done something to displease him, or he was deep in thought. Then he introduced me to the man he was talking with and left me to introduce myself. Still I was in confusion about my exact place in his mind. But it seemed that my position changed as swiftly as his moods and variable as the situation. So I was left to introduce myself as he started to turn and walk away. How to introduce myself; mistress, servant, guide, healer, or other? So I would reply with just my name. So I could be sure that I did not step on any toes. “A pleasure.” With the sentence beginning, I bow to the male Qyn and finish. “I am Kazakura” A bright smile upon my face as I slowly release the breath and turn to follow Domen.

I look at the small floating head then at Azhure before my gaze turns back to the floating demon head. "I need to speak to her in private. Do I have time?" The head nods slowly and catches the hint and heads outside to wait. Once he is gone, I take another long sip of my wine and smirk at the playful demoness. She will suffice very well for the role I have in mind for her. He will be her training tool if nothing else. "I require much, but perhaps another time. For now, kneel before me and declare your submission to my will as your Lord and Master." Submission is one requirement that I do hold. While the degree varies depending on the individual and the magnitude of the investment, this one would be a great investment, but I see the promise in her and that is sufficient for me to take such a gamble. I have had disappointments, but I have had gambles that have paid off far greater than the investment I put into them. I rise as I finish the wine in my goblet. My eyes fall upon Azhure to watch as she makes her decision.

The demon looked to the large screens around the stadium areas. It soon showed the fights that were set to take place. By the times it seemed all the fights would take place at once. That was fine by Mukesh. The sooner this was underway the better. But as expected, the nightingale was givin an opponent as well. The floating creature seemed to have received instructions and was now leading them to the fighting area.
As he expected a Kami to do, Aria questioned his statement. "I know you are not foolish enough to not realize were you are. This is not a place of mercy. If you enter a fight with the mind set of sparing your opponent. Then you will unconsciously hold back and they will surely kill you." He said giving her a moment to let that sink in. "But let say you do win and spare your opponent. You have just left yourself with two openings. One for the beaten opponent to get silent revenge later. And two the demons here see mercy as a sign of weakness. You letting your opponent live is like saying ' im to weak to finish him off'. And you are now a prime target for any demon out there. No I will fight to kill. And you would be wise to think the same." He said as they approached the entrance to the arena the fight would take place.
Approaching the entrance he found a worker of the tournament and stopped them. "Listen, I am Mukesh and this is Aria." He said pointing at the bird. "We are fighting together, bring her opponent into my fight. We will fight them both at once." He said to the worker. Regardless if it was just a cleaner or a high official, they would see the severity in Mukesh's words and get the word to the right people, if they knew what was good for them.

Song:
His answer still had me shaking my head. How could people just kill like that. If more people showed this 'weakness' of allowing their enemies to live, perhaps enemies would become friends. Was it truly a weakness to allow your opponent to live after beating them? I figured that would be the case for me. I just could not bring myself to kill someone who had surrendered. But that was just me and I kept my musings to myself, until I heard Murkesh's voice again as he demanded that my opponent be brought to the same ring. Into his ear I spoke soft, "Perhaps we should ask how to go about doing such, not just demand of the nearest staff member." Then I shook my head and thought better of it. "Before you say it, yes, I know we're in hell, but still a bit of kindness can go along way. But you do it as you see fit." I would wait for the worker to either tell us where to go to arrange our two on two match or to do it for us. If it was the former, then I would fly to wherever he told us to go arrange the team battle, and settled down to engage the staff and ask them how to arrange a 2 on 2 battle between mine and Murkesh's opponents. And thus await for their answer.

He had a hand under his robe tracing the lines of the mark of the Soul eater in his chest. When the thing floated down in front of him looking as if it were an agent speaking for a movie star or something before it looked at him. Adrian's quirked brow was hidden behind his mask, making him that much harder to read but then again there was no telling what the flying baby thing was thinking anyway.
"What?" he asked.
"They want to know if you would be willing to participate in a two on two match instead of fighting one on one." the cherub explained.
"Whatever it takes to get this thing moving, now shut up, I can't focus." he responded.
"He's up for it! Get the paperwork done!" the thing said before bouncing back to the halo over Adrian's head.
This was a change. He was used to taking on demons in the woods in groups but most of the time he'd done that he had Goranova, so he had an advantage. But the question here was were the people asking for a two-on-two match experienced with one another and not willing to give up their team advantage? Or did they get pitted against one another? It didn't matter, the world he was in was one of cheating, death, and destruction! It would be stupid here to expect anyone to fight fair, let alone in a tournament. Why NOT gang up against one of the humans in this tournament? After all humans were 'weak' compared to demons. Then again if he won this tournament he would have more demons coming at him to prove themselves stronger than he was. And even then they wouldn't dare fight fair.

His words are processed as I look for all variables and loop holes in the system for both sides. We had not really done much on his side for clarifying what he wanted. I sighed and stood when he rose from the table. "Swear that after this fight we will iron out the details of this contract. I do not like open ends. I am sure you would want the specifics of a deal before completing the transaction. Your word that we will discuss this further after your battle. And I will show you submission." I wanted a firm contract on which to fall back upon in case of need. If his answer was in the positive then I would step to him and tilted my head to look at him. My eyes burning and telling him without the aid of thought or words that I expected him to keep his word. Then with a graceful bow of the head and a slip to one knee, I would expose the back of my neck, as if waiting for a sword to fall. My posture was in complete submission. Trusting him to accept my submission or end my life.

The demoness seemed to grow bored once she finished her registration, casting a baleful glance around at her surroundings upon realizing that she had run out of liquor some time ago. Indeed, her last use of the portal tech was supposed to land her right outside the door of her preferred package store.
Grumbling, she ambled off, her mood soured until she encountered one of the boys peddling some sort of favor in exchange for something intangible... that is, a soul. "Eh? Whatcha sellin' there, boy? Favors?" she laughed hearily. "Sign me up for one of those too. Nuffin better to do."

I had been rather stunned by the occurrence outside, but otherwise fine. A moment in time and then the game show was put to the sword in my mind. My ears caught word of a tournament. I thought there was no point in a game show if there was going to be a fighting tournament. I would get a little more excited, but remember that Lady Kazakura was near me. I would release a low sigh before I looked at her and moved after her as she did move out of the place. I didn't know where she was going, but I soon lost her in the crowd. A word floated from my mouth as I could not see her, "Damn." However, I did see master Domen'yun. I would move in his direction instead, a small smile on my face. Perhaps master would be able to find Lady Kazakura. As I moved towards him, the crowds increased, those that were going towards the stadium for fighting. I had to think for a moment- would I really fight? No, my strength was not up to snuff for such a thing. I would have to watch, but watching Master Domen'yun might show me how demons fight. I'd seen it before, but not for a while. A refresher course might be in order. I would make my way with a majority of the crowd and narrowed my eyes. These fights would be interesting, but I would have to watch my back in case a demon tried to eat me. If one tried, they would likely get their throat slit, as I had no time to tell a demon to not bother a possessed human. I would pause in my thoughts and muttered, "Actually..." I would look around and then close my eyes as my Incubus side would take over my body. I had little time to play around, so I would just have my Incubus body out to protect myself. I would then use a quick Godspeed and move twenty feet ahead, landing at the area to look out at the tournament grounds. I would smile lightly and then proceed to an empty seat as I ignored most of the demons that stared at me. Charm was useful, but this time it was really having a drawback.

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament Location: Tournament Grounds There’s a goofy grin on my face after the booze comment, but then she mentions something about a soul and my face changes to that of confusion. “Soul?” I murmur looking to the winged kid. It was around that time when I actually noticed there were ‘monsters’ around us. I blink, realizing this, wondering if I had to go into kung fu mode; before that, however, the pleased angelic youth flutters happily and then moves into speaking. The little guy seems quick enough to retort. Leaning over, I murmur to Akera, “see, this is why you can’t pay crazy people attention, you need to be more careful about who you interact with. Geez…” I sigh; watching over a little sister who seemed more gullible than me seemed like it would be difficult, but it made me feel good as a big brother figure to lecture her. The hobo host goes into a spill about how we were supposed to kneel and pray or something. I didn’t really get it, but in looking around me, it looked like a group activity, albeit a weird one. I didn’t know if Akera wanted to play along with this, but from what the little guy said, someone had to be earnest in order to receive the blessing. I rationalize in my mind that even though it was crazy, it wouldn’t physically hurt me to play along and even believe in it. It could actually cause some good; if not, then it would be a crazy experience we could tell Natsuki about later. With a shrug, I turn to Akera and ask, “we doing this?”

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament ... Time: 10 minutes until the tournament starts ... Location: Carnival Grounds
Captain’s log… I find myself in an odd world… fill with odd… creatures… They surround on all sides. So far, they do not seem to realize my presence. I find myself able to blend within them; they are truly dumb creatures indeed, on which life is wasted. While here, I wonder if this is really hell and if so, what was heaven like? Oddly enough… it seems… like the Lower Commons… only without the rap music and broken language.
I continue to wander through the carnival area as I make my way towards the congregation of people towards the southern end of this quadrant. Slightly paranoid of how many spirits were around me, my gaze is all about as my sensing abilities are alert. As I walk, I begin to pick up overheard conversations between those here and those running some sort of event. With that information and a gaze towards the large screens of the coliseum, I am able to understand that this was some type of tournament based event, perhaps a festival of some sort held by demons. It was interesting how humanistic these savage beasts were, still it was all the more reason to keep them segregated from humans. Still, with an expansive realm like this, there should be no need for them to try to take over Yochi.
I continue to walk through the crowds of this area, carrying my dufflebag over my shoulder with me. I suppose walking like this with a gym bag, I looked like I was probably a part of the tournament. While walking, I sense something familiar among all the other signatures here. Due to the massive amount of pings I was receiving it takes a moment for me to actually hone in on a few recognizable presences. There are mixed emotions when I recognize spiritual presences. “Great…” I murmur lightly, still Izumi seemed to be here. Why? I wouldn’t know until I found her.

Judging from the words offered by the female, I assume that the healing arts are her primary purpose within the Master's empire. I find myself greatly humbled by the description the Master provides of me and offer him a respectful bow of thanks after his kind words. When the female offers her name, I incline my head politely and respond with, "A pleasure to meet you as well." With the introductions out of the way, unless she felt the need to add anything else, I would turn to follow the Master toward the arenas where I suppose the fighting will take place. Having reunited with the master near the sign up area, I wonder if he might have tossed his name into the hat. If so, I am certain that he will emerge victorious over all contenders. Who among this crowd of riff raff could even come close to the power my master possesses in his pinky finger? Unless instructed otherwise, I would only follow him to the point where spectators and participants are divided. I would then join the spectators, hopefully finding a seat with an unobstructed view of the master's first bout. 194 Interaction: Domen, Kazakura! – STOP TYPING HERE>

The demoness rises and requests clarification of her role. I smile and reply to her with my accent being slightly more apparent since my voice is slow and calm, "You are not yet ready to know what you will become, but there are few details to iron out on my end. I know what you are to become. I have already seen it." I take a step closer to her to stand right before her. "You kneel before me, so that you will never be forced to kneel before another. Rise now, Azhure, and stand on your path to becoming my Hatyārā." I already knew she would not understand the title that I was bestowing upon her, but if she remembered hearing the term now when it is fully conveyed later, she will understand that from this moment, I knew what was to happen. With the floating head waiting outside, I do not have the time to see how much training her carnal prowess would need. Instead, unless she stopped me, I simply tell her to come as I leave coin on the table and walk past her. Our destination is the arena.

His eyes closed as he sat there, breathing slowly as he let the world fade away once again, but this time instead of the castle forming in front of him, he found himself standing in a field of flowers. He stared at the ground at his feet, feeling the presence of the very person he knew would be there. She stood there, the two of them back to back, even though he was a good six inches taller than she was.
"You're worried about something. Talk to me." she said, her voice sickly sweet.
"I know perfectly well where I am, and how to handle the situation." he said.
"You're wrong. The Lion's den is not always a dangerous place to be. But you must be careful not to step between the Lion and it's cubs."
"I know the parental urge to protect one's children well. I learned it from you."
"If only you took all lessons to heart like that one. You should be careful, none the less."
"Mizuho, you worry about me from beyond my reach and it tears me apart."
"Ashram, you have to let it go... I would never ask you to kill for me, and I never did."
"One word: Onisu."
"That is something I regretted for my whole life, my dear. But you can win here. I believe in you, so just let it all go and focus yourself. I want you to fight like you used to. Combine your strength with your namesake."
He turned, to glance over his shoulder, but once he did the illusion vanished, and once again he found himself once again in Hell.

Before the bird could fly off, Mukesh grabbed her. The hold was firm but soft. It wouldn't do anymore damage than to ruffle her feathers. "Just wait, hes taking care of it for us. There is a method to my madness Aria. I spent the last four hundred years here. I know what it takes to get things done." He said as he set her down onto his shoulder.
He looked to the demon,to answer his question. "No, we are simply business associates." He said in a monotone voice. And that was more the truth than anything else he could have said. Were the two friends? No not really. they had known each other for no more than two days. But they had a deal, and to Mukesh that was more binding than a tie of friendship. And for him to have an emotional attachment to anything was foolish. Especially to a bird. He had seen her human form once but it wasn't for long. The staff member gets Adrian's reply from his Spiri-Buddy.
"Okay, thanks... yeah, I'll let them know... I'll put it in to have the stages merged... okay cool..."
The staff member shoves the walkie talking into his pocket and then take out something that looks like an small iPad from his back pocket. He taps the screen a few times and mumbles to himself.
"Okay... this goes here... I think this goes here... this here... click here twice... accept... enter..."
He looks up.
"Okay, you're good to go. The floating babies will lead the way. If there's anything else I'm on break. Later. Enjoy your lives even though it's a waste of time."
He puts his earplugs back in his ears and walks off.
The hobo angel leads his flock.
"Ohi to you (Grunty). You can join too. Come pray to Shintrey and gain your blessing. There's enough baptisms to go around! "
The countdown keeps counting down on the big screen. There are 5 minutes left until the tourney starts. The first round showcases fights including Mukesh, Ashram, Grunty, Psyre, Domen, Seiki and Aria. The call lis made for those fighters to get ready. These fights will be in the outter pods. Fighters are given their pod number (see below). The Spiri-Buddies are ordered to lead the way to the staging area for each group to fight.
How would that work? The spiri-buddy would be all like "let's go" and when the fighter was like "fisho" then the Spiri-Buddy would lead the way. They would have to go to the a large 'bunker' near the main coliseum. The commentater's clarify the process.
"Each of our fighters will enter into a large room that had doors with numbers over them. The number matches with the arena they're going to battle in." "That's right, Bill, nice ass by the way." "Wait, what?" "The Spiri Buddies lead the way for our fighters through that door and go into a tunnel that lead to the entrance to the fighting stage." {A visual on the screens show a digital version of this.} "Wait... back to my ass..." "Each stage has 2 tunnels leading into it for each side fo the fight. It looks like we're going to have a 2v2 in the first round." "A 2v2? Sounds I'm excited." "Like I am when I look into your eyes." "Wa, huh?" "Well, basically at the end of the tunnel, the fighters would be standing and waiting for the doors to open. A count down would be on the door to let them know when it is Go Time! As soon as the doors open, it's on like donkey kong!" "About... about my eyes?..." "The fighters don't know what type of stage they're fighting in until those doors open! There's sure to be some interesting stages!" "Are you trying to tell me someth..." "Stay focused, Bill, because it's going to be a hot and steamy night! Oh let's do it!"

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament Location: Carnival Region In my walking, I look about these grounds finding it odd for such an organized and festive thing to be happening in such a decrepitly chaotic realm. I knew there must be a higher power keeping the normally unruly crowds of Onitoshi in place. The tournament was getting more and more interesting to me as I continually observed it. Looking about I continue to see familiar faces; one the deceptive form of a little girl whom I had done battle with before. I knew of her true form in the time I protected the human known as Natsuki from her. Her form was a large furry beast that seemed to have control over gravity and sound powers. At the time of our battle, it was not finished; I wondered if I would defeat her here on my road to victory.
During this time in my pondering, I had not noticed the dissention of the small fairy known as Paco. The hail of miracles had drawn his attention from the circle between Kazakura, Qyn and I, and in his quest to continually make me stronger, he moves towards the area where the homeless angels gather their congregation and gives out orders. Excitedly, he offers a portion of his soul in order to increase the powers of his master, Domenyun. Following the directions given by the organizational leader, he is among the first on this knees and earnestly praying to whomever needed to be prayed to in order to provide a miraculous offering to his liege.
As Paco proceeds on his mecca, my attention is gathered by the sounds of the announcers as they speak on what I should expect for the festivities. I would allow Qyn to continue to the spectators seats so that he could watch me from there; I would not be taking him into battle with me. Looking to Kazakura, I would verbally allow her to proceed about her task as a healer, since that would give her something to do for now. Looking to Kaelas, I charge him with the protection of his master in this realm, and knew he would perform this function flawlessly. After all of this, I turn to the floating baby spirit and give a nod commanding him to lead the way to where I am to be staged. Obediently, he leads and I begin the escort towards my specified area, which would seem to lead me to Arena 5.

He found himself beneath a trickling of words, their craft ostensibly for herself as well as him. Their utterance caused him to direct his attention upwards, but hardly did such an act enlighten him as to who Seiki was. His only response to her inquiry appeared to be a nod and the echo of the final word that had been directed towards him. "Right!" he replied before turning his attention back towards the field before him. Expectedly, his gaze strayed where there had been no specific place designated for it to settle. Such changed with the appearance of a figure who had apparently been familiar with the girl ever-still holding him within her motherly embrace. His stare settled atop him, but quiet he would remain as the two conversed. Assumedly, he was human like the individual he was currently stationed on. This fact alone caught his interest and perhaps had been the reason his eyes had yet to move away from this new arrival.

The soldier did not like kneeling before someone that he did not think was his better and a winged demon vagabond was definitely not a superior, but what he liked far, far less than that was being "trained" by my Shyr Beis. The painful sting of their leiga rods was not a feeling that he was anxious to endure, so he kneels and he follows with the instructions given by the winged demons. His spiritual core and mind fill with wishes and thoughts of my victory in this coming battle. There were already whispers about the ability and power of the combatant that I was going to be facing. If I was harmed, he would be harmed far worse. If I was killed, then he would suffer thru many deaths. Regardless of the individual, he would pray and ask for their aid in my coming battle. Sacrificing a portion of his soul was of no consequence if it aided in my success. Such is the role of a minion.
The floating cherub is about to enter as I am exiting. A private telepathic stream of images and a message is given to Azhure as I walk out and head towards the arena. I tell the cherub to fly ahead and secure me a suite or pulpit in the arena to watch the other fights from after I finish my fights. I tell him that I also want a couple of female demons that give good massages. I need to be nice and relaxed for my fight. He tells me that I should probably head to the fighter's staging area and I look at him with a sharp glare and he falls silent. We head to the arena and go to get my massage first. I didn't have time for a fully enjoyable massage, so I just get my muscles warmed up and my mind relaxed. I tell the demoness masseuses to remain as I allow the cherub to lead me towards the battle grounds. I prepare my mind and body for what is to come when I reach Arena 4.

I would rise and follow and him out the door and to the tournament. I would actually leave Pysre since he was going to fight and go find Valkirst before hugging him. Before parting though, I had received Pysre’s telepathic images and message. “Thank you, that was my first taste of bloodwyne.” My hand would grasp his and hold on to his as I gently tugged him towards one of the arenas. “Shall we go see the fighting? Perhaps learn a few things?” If he followed suit I would stroll with him to the arena to find a good seat. Before finding a seat, I notice people kneeling and praying. Glancing to Valkirst, if he had followed, I would ak, “What is that all about?”

Song:
Right before I get too far, basically as I take the leap of faith before getting lift, I am grabbed by my companion. A quiet squawk was the only murmur of protest I had for Murkesh. My dark head nods as I am settled back onto his shoulder. Fluffing out my feathers in agitation at being handled so I did not voice any comments, which could only be thought of as my assent that he was perfectly right. He hd spent time here and would know. For me, I was only a visitor. He answered the staff member’s question with the same answer I would have spoken. And my thoughts were along the lines of his. We were not friends, not even emotionally attached. If I had been asked I would have said that His and my relationship bordered along the lines of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ Minus the last part of course, ‘until my enemy is no more.’ But then again who knew what would happen with time, a friendship might grow out of it. But both of us, no matter how the future turned out, would walk away with more knowledge and a better chance of survival than if we had never met. With a start I realized that he knew nothing about my offensive spells. Quickly and quietly I whisper into his ear, "you might want to wear some ear plugs. My screech can have certain effects to your ears."

I would not say anything else since Domen was on the move and nothing else needed to be said to the man named Qyn. A mental shrug accompanied my movement behind my demonic lover. When he stopped and verbally allowed me to go about the job I was hustled into I sighed and moved off to find a staff member for briefing. Since I would be choosing the stage where Domen would be fight. Upon finding the appropriate staff member I would introduce myself as Kazakura and request to be here at this arena that Domen would be fighting some unknown person. It all made perfect sense to me. If needed elsewhere I was sure that they would notify me of the need. Kaelas grumbled his response which to those not use to his way of replying would find it more like a low growl that could be thought of as a threat. And as such a few people are startled and thus part the way for the large tiger and his master. Kaelas would do as he was ordered.

After Seiki ask his question, I smile and nod. “might as well try it. What’s the worst that could happen?” Those were my completely naïve and gullible words. But would it spell something bad or something good? I would believe in almost anything until something bad happened and then it would be a disappointment which would be shrugged off and forgotten. Which is what made it easy to believe things. I just wanted to believe the good in people, especially children and beasties. It was a failing that made me adorably cute as well as annoyingly naïve. Some people never knew what to make of me, most just sigh in annoyance before smiling at the cute expressions I could come up with. I shrugged and set Hoax on the seat as I rose up to kneel. “I’ll be right back Hoax. Oh this is Seiki, my friend. Seiki this is Hoax. Keep our seat please” I smiled brightly at the cute thing and went to kneel with the mass and pray. Throwing myself into it with great enthusiasm.

"Like this?" the woman asked huskily as she put her hands together in front of her face and closed her eyes, bowing her head slightly. She still had a vague concept of prayer from her days in Koutaku-shi. Now, it seemed an odd thing to be doing, she thought sourly. Maybe she should pray for a Heineken...

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament Location: Tournament Grounds Somewhere during this time, I notice that the plushy who Akera was holding could actually speak. A little while after that, I seem to register that the thing could actually talk and move on its own. It seemed that it wasn’t actually a plushy at all, but a tiny pet sized thingee. Akera’s answer comes in and I give a nod as my attention returns to her; with that, it seemed like this was going to happen. As I looked around me, I noticed others had already descended to their knees in earnest and seemed to be taking this pretty seriously. Thinking along the lines of Akera, I agreed with the part “how much could it hurt?” Praying never hurt anyone before, at least to my knowledge. Regardless of where we actually are, I am introduced to a little creature by the name of Hoax, to which I give a smile and a wave to. He seemed like a nice and cute enough guy. As Akera moves to get to her knees, I join the mass as waist height, lowing my own body until my knees touched the ground to the side of the angelic homeless figure that stood before us and to the immediate side of a small fairy. Looking around a little lost, I notice people in prayer like postures, so I do my best to mimic those around me and, as instructed by the leader of this procession, I close my eyes and attempt to concentrate or take something from this experience as I repeat the equivalent of “give me powers” over and over.

So, this was Seiki. From him he received a smile and a nod, to which Hoax would mirrored almost immediately. Not long had it been until this individual settled into a position he found many others to be within as well as he directed a swift glance about the encompassing audience. Of course, the silver-painted yokai possessed no idea as to what was going on; but soon would he rise from the seat he had been placed on, hoping to a piece of unoccupied floor and mimicking the poses of those around him.

Since there was nothing left to say to the worker, Mukesh turned and went about his way. He followed the little floating babies towards the arena where his and Aria's fights would take place. The bird mentioned screeching attacks. "so you do have offensive abilities. Guess you had to survive this long somehow. Well simply warn me before hand. Dig your talons into my shoulder. Ill be to concentrated to hear words. I dont think you have 'seen' my ability. But you have witnessed it several times. Ill be sure to include you next time." He said moving.
Along the way he saw what appeared to be a hobo Kami preaching to the masses. speaking something about praying to Shintrey for a miracle. In his former life, Mukesh could recall the warriors praying to a deity for strength before they went into battle. Mukesh had been no exception. But when he reached hell, he soon learned that the being they prayed to was a simple lowly demon. He had stopped doing so. though this being was a Kami, so it had to be from the other spectrum of this world. So chances are, it knew th truth. He doubted a being in heaven would listen to the prayers of a demon. But even after 400 years, former habits die hard. As he walked by he closed his eyes only for the briefest of moments. Never breaking stride but pray silently for strength and a good battle.
He then continued to the arena where he followed the guide to a large bunker like room. Once fully inside the room the floating baby lead him to a door with a number on it. He had seen the number beside his name.

Song:
"Well I dont necessarily have to use words. So I will fly up and away so I don't bust your eardrums. I am the Nightingale for a reason, sound is my trump. Healing was the way I learned to survive." With that I nestled down and remained quiet. As we were being led by the hobo angel I looked over the thing with a sadness. Peddling the miracles of a god was hard work. I preferred singing my own praises to such deities. I noticed my companion offering a silent prayer, the closing of his eyes and such alerted me that perhaps he was praying. I wondered if my own prayers for return had ever been heard. If they had, were they ignored. Struggling with my own faith in heaven, I turned to this ray of hope that the angel offered and basked in the light of this Shintrey. My own offering was a song since we could not pause for long on our way to the fighting stage. Any blessings would be welcomed at this point just to show that there was hope. After offering the song, I am taken on Murkesh's shoulder to our door to await the entrance into the arena.

The Dark Tourney - Pre Battle Karnival Time: ??? Location: Onitoshi The Pre Tournament Carnival: Link is Here
The Angel talks calmly to the masses.
“All minds on one accord... Clear your minds and focus on your miracle... Yes…. He will make it happen.”
He makes sure that all eyes are closed and walks behind the masses. His voice is soothing. He pulls out a normal looking brick with the engraving: The Mass Kosho Enlightener. He tosses the brick up and catches it in his hand like a ball.
“That’s it, let your mind go free… yes yes, just like that… ”
He gets behind everyone and takes a stance like a pitcher on a mound. He winds up the pitch and then throws using a special technical that duplicates the launched bricks at the back of each head simultaneously. There is a loud thud like sound.
Each person hit would be whisked away to a special realm where they would be basked in light. It would feel glorious. The winged boy would dust off his hands.
”Blessed are those who accepts the grace of Shintrey!”
The angel smiles and skips away. {Miracles given}
The countdown reaches 3 minutes. The opening fights and ring assignments are listed. There is an announcement. The tournament is about to start. The good seats around each arena start to fill up. Most of the crowd makes way to the spectator booths or viewing areas. The glass domes over the arena pods are tinted black and block out the inside view from the spectator booths (the spectator area is outside the arena pods. i.e. all of the inside the arena pod is designated for where the fighting will be taking place). Most attention is on the big screens for the countdown.
Anyone hit would be K/O’d. They would wake up 5-10 mins later, depending on how deep their enlightenment was. The ppl who were fighting in the tournament would be dragged by their Spiri-buddies to the staging area so they did not miss the deadline. When the person awoke, he or she would have an arbitrary symbol of arbitrary shape at an arbitrary portion of their body. This would signify their bond miracle with their miracle. They would instinctively know to pray to invoke the miracle. Ppl who prayed in passing would have good fortune. No symbol for doing the entire ceremony, but they would have good luck instead of a miracle.
On the screens, the countdown ticks down to 1 minute. Loud hype/rock music starts up. Fireworks are launched into the air above the arena. They explode and the corners of the battle areas send flaming sparks into the air. The announcers yell out:
“Let’s get ready for chaos! The tournament is about to begin in one minute! Get hype!”
“I’m hype! Are you!”
“Hell yeah I am! We’re at the 40 second mark, it’s almost about to begin. Expect an explosive opening. Oh look, the arena gates are opening!”
By now, each fighter should be placed in front of each numbered door way. Their spiri-buddies would have made sure they got there (don’t worry xD). Behind them is a long tunnel. In front of them is a large metal door. At the 30s mark, the doors would open. Steam fizzes as they open. Right now, the domes are still tinted.
--
Ooc: I’m not going to really charge Exp for the miracle… your faith is enough xD
Miracle Call upon the name of Shintrey when something great needs to occur. Praying opens the way for a pseudo-immaculate event to occur in your favor. Effect: Varies (requires Shinteraction)
Good Fortune (passive) For some reason small things seem to be going your way. Effect: the ability to redo 2 rolls that you screw up
--
Fighters, get to the point where you get where you’re supposed to be and the arena doors open. I was going to do the opponents and pod descriptions, but that’s gonna be a long ass post… I’ll do that tomorrow >.> My posts prolly will be broken up into each battle after that.

After leaving Azhure and Tyrn to buisness I went about waiting for Azhure to finish and come back to me. When I felt the familiar arms of Azhure slip around me in a hug I smiled faintly as I slip an arm around her, hugging her back, looking down at her. As she began to pull away from me I let my arm fall from her and back to my side, nodding faintly to what she had to say though I couldn't help but wonder what she and Tyrn had talked about while she was away. " Did you like it? " I ask as I hold her hand in my own after she takes it and begin to follow after her as she begins to move towards the arena, " Alright. Sounds good. " I say with a faint nod. When Azhure points out the people praying I pause for a moment glancing at them. Looking at them I frown faintly as I look at Akera for a moment, " Hmmm... ". Shifting my gaze I glance at Seiki for a moment before shaking my head faintly as I glance at Kameko again, " I'm not sure my dear. " I say as I finally turn my gaze from Kameko and look to Azhure, smiling lightly at her " Lead the way? " I ask as I pull her closer to me and slip my free arm around her to hold her close to me for a moment, my smile shifting into a light grin.

Genuine attention was given to the voice the populace had seemingly been paying heed to. Was he to be listening to this being? Depthless oculi wide with a commingling of enquiry and realization, he closed them just as he had witnessed those around him doing just the same. Even an oddity such as he found himself beneath the soothing rinse of the ostensibly machinating angelic being’s words. Hardly could he expect anything calumnious could be born of such a beatific individual.
* C R A C K *
Broadened eyes pregnant with the sheer abruptness of the impact became his lone response before his structure fell forward, contacting the waiting floor with a subtle, dull thump.
* * *
Timeless it had all been. Doubtlessly, he possessed little idea as to how long it had taken for him to extract his phantasmal structure of the deepest depths of his slumber. Oh, how deep it was for even as a vague sense of time returned to him, it was not but the distorted, incomputable time of a dream realm – or at least such was something one would expect. Surreal it might have been, but echt it felt. Casting an eye to the obsolete directs right and left allowed sight of an all-encompassing blanket of motherly white. Adrift his structure appeared to be, its destination nonexistent and insignificant. Who would want to leave such a wondrous place? The feelings such a place bestowed drained all worry and strife, leaving a spirit-swallowing bliss within its wake.

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament ... Time: 10 minutes until the tournament starts ... Location: Carnival Grounds
I continue in my walking, making my way to the tournament grounds. My attention is gathered by the large screens that broadcast what looks like sports television. My mind wonders, ‘to think they would go this far to be human…’ I continue to take in my surroundings as I hear about the tournament they would be having. It was interesting, if not a bit unnerving. Aside from the fact that I was here during this event, I was curious to where the exit was, since I had arrived after that announcement had been made.
Focusing in IZUMI’s signature I weed her out from the rest of the spiritual presences and attempt to make my way towards where she was. I pass a very interesting spiritual experience where it seemed several denizens were assaulted at once, but I continue past that in search of Izumi. I knew that she could warp, so at least near her, I would have a bit of security.
There is a loud commotion and it would seem that the festivities were on their way to starting. The noise of the crowd, the fireworks and special effects seemed loud, almost as if I were at a concert in the front row. Pausing where I stood, I look up towards one of the large screens at the main arena and wait to see what would happen when the countdown got to 0.

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament Location: Tournament Grounds | Arena Doorway Paco prays fervently among the masses with his head bowed and his eyes closed. The soft and soothing voice of the angelic one lowers his guard as it coaxes him to accept the graces of this mystical being. For a moment, he felt his very soul open up, and indeed, he was transported to an alternate realm of consciousness, no longer being normally conscious. Ducks and chickens would be in rotation above his head as a smile of contentment lay at his lips. “It’s so glorious…” he basks in the radiant glow of this feeling he has.
I move through the crowds as I follow behind the nude demonic winged baby that leads me to where I need to go. In this process, enter into a central area where I notice the number 5 over a door. As I come to the door, it opens and I notice a long hallway that I follow until I come along a large door. In standing, I pause and look at the door with my arms folded. I look to the chaotic cherub who advises that we had made it and my battle waited beyond this door. My gaze shifts from him, back to the door as I gaze at the counter as it counts down. The cherub bids me a good fight and slowly wafts away from the entrance as he heads in the opposite direction of the door. Stoically I awaiting the opening of the doors with a stern frown set in stone on my lower countenance. There is movement in the door and it shifts slightly; there is an expulsion of steams and the gate begins to rise. My icy, resolute gaze would be straight forwards to see what awaited me beyond this large and metallic gate.

Adrian stood there, his eyes closed behind the mask of Fu Leng. He heard the door hiss open and his left hand rose to the mask. Gripping the horns where they arced to point up he pulled, removing the mask. Standing there he let his arm come back down the porcelain mask coming down to his hip before he let go of it, letting it fall to the ground. Breathing slowly he stepped forward through the doors following the path before him into the arena.
"Dra pmylgacd hekrd vymmc vnus dra cgeac. Dra tynghacc knufc yc ymm mekrd teac. E lnyja ouin rayndc yht ouin taseca. Po so pmylg ryht dra tayt crymm neca..." he chanted, as if he were casting a spell, though there were none like this.
It was no spell, simply something he'd read a long time ago. Something one of the Oni Lords had said in ancient times, forgotten to man, though it had been carved on the walls of a temple that had long since collapsed by the time he found it. It might have been a prophecy, it might have been a declaration. He would never know, because the ancient creature that had said it had been sealed away. And the only way to release it was to speak it's name, but none knew it's true name. Humans referred to it as the Maw, a name used only to describe it. One man had known the name of the creature, but when it had been brought to earth it's flaw was that it slew the only person that knew it's name. And when it fell it had nobody left to draw it to the earth. It was a mistake that had cost the Maw, considered to be the most powerful of all the Oni Lords, it's opportunity to conquer the world. Adrian didn't understand why those words came to mind, but the moment seemed right. In Hell it would probably make more sense than anywhere else.
"Vitas mortes carredo." he said, as he came to a stop within the arena. "Death, is only the beginning."
Say my name. Say it, boy! Call for me, and take my strength!

The Dark Tourney - Part 2: The Dark Tournament Location: Tournament Grounds | Entrance to the Arena ‘Praying never hurt anyone before…’
Having joined Akera at my knees, my head is tucked down with my hand clasped as I allow the angel’s words to float passively through my being. I begin to wonder of the true power of Shintrey, and then it hits me like a ton of bricks. More correctly, only one brick actually hits me, but it renders me in an altered state of mind with my face and arms on the ground and my ass perked up in the air slightly drooling at the mouth. On the outside, I may have looked like a buffoon, but on the inside, I was on a journey of understanding.
Opening my eyes, I look around me to notice the ground consisted of clouds and the sky of pure light. Golden gates lined the perimeter around me, and leaning along these golden gates were scantily clad winged maidens of various types and protruding assets. Drifting from their lips were words encouraging my decision and praising my boldness. My attention is drawn up as I gaze forth to see the countenance of someone who appeared much like Chuck Norris. He leaves me with the words, “Seiki… I give to you great power…” With that, I bring my fist to my chest and valiantly nod as I assure him, “I will use this power for the good of all men and prove myself a man among men!” A tear is visible at the corner of the large face among the light skies before it is sucked up into the socket before the head nods and says, “I know, Seiki… I know.”
While all of this is happening, my posture has changed some. My left leg is in the air held in the clasp of the diminutive unclothed toddler as he float over the ground, basically dragging my body, face and chest first, along towards the pod or arena where I would find my match.
My eyes open slowly and I groan lightly as I notice that I am on my back. Looking up, I see a ceiling, and in looking to the sides, I see walls. I pick myself up, holding the back of my head slightly, having traveled back from Nirvana, and in looking forwards, I notice a large metallic door with a countdown. My eyes, widen, “how long was I asleep?!... Did I get my miracle?” I look down at my first and notice a circular icon with S and T overlaying one another in cursive; a marking of some kind that reassured me that whatever I had done, had done something… hopefully something good. With a determined nod, I look back towards the door, noticing there wasn’t much time left before it would apparently open. I dust myself off and stand firm as the countdown lowers to the point where the door would begin its ascending, lifting steam and smoke in its wake. I was ready to meet my opponent head on and claim my first victory.

The soldier is confused when he comes to. He works to recall what happened and he remembers focusing on me fighting against some foe more powerful than I or me fighting while wounded or exhausted against a foe and someone managing to find the strength or opportunity to defeat them. Suddenly, everything went black for him, but he felt this amazing aura which he embraced and it surrounded him as his thoughts focus on my victory again and the light leaves him. All the same, he figures that his sacrifice was more than enough and that somehow he had helped.
The cherub and I continue our walk and I feel a slight twinge in my mind as I feel something change, but I haven't a clue what. Shaking it off, I keep walking. We reach the doors and I stand before them ready for battle. My armor forms up on me as do my claws and my rings and pendant that is kept next to my flesh and under my armor. It is Lucia's pendant and I could not dream of losing it. I rub my chest and music fills my energy. To ready and focus my mind, I hear the sounds of Divinity I followed by Divinity II. The two pieces quiet the chaos and put an end to any anxiety. As the doors begin to open, all I can think about is wanting to prove a point to my adversary. While I wait on the doors to open, I prep my modes: Myndius, Slowdown, and Mental Defense so they would kick in by the time I entered the arena ready for battle with who or whatever stood across this arena from me. "Atma silda, raksa!" The chant would create the seven star spirit shield to safeguard me from frontal assaults. I would wait while my body regenerates the expended energy.
Upon entering I would use the Kankaku ability to get a solid gauge of the strength and abilities of my opponent. Perhaps if I know their strengths, it will give me insight into their weaknesses. Nodding to the cherub, he actually seems to be worried for me. At least, this should mean that my opponent should really get my blood boiling for this one! The music that I hear shifts from the melodic and serene Divinity to Trick Daddy ft Twista & Lil Jon - Let's Go! While my exterior looks to be stern and serious, my interior is getting pumped up for this fight!!
434/4902/15 Interaction: Preparing for WAR! Location: Arena 4.
Using Kankaku (once opponent appears) ~ do I roll for this since it's passive? Atma Silda - 1/5 Myndius - 0/4 Slowdown - 0/3 Mental Defense - 0/3
Miracle Call upon the name of Shintrey when something great needs to occur. Praying opens the way for a pseudo-immaculate event to occur in your favor. Effect: Varies (requires Shinteraction)

The Dark Tourney - Pre Battle Karnival Time: ??? Location: Onitoshi The Pre Tournament Carnival: Link is Here
The glass dome barriers of each arena pod clear (tint goes away) and the spectators are able to see inside. (Remember each pod stage is a block or two in size, everyone start off on opposite sides of their opponents). The countdown gets to 10 seconds.
“9… 8… 7… 6… 5…. 4… 3… 2… 1… Let the Battle begin!”
The countdown reaches 0 and the doors open fully…
Arena Pod 1 Fighters: Mukesh (Bonus!) & Aria vs Ashram (Adrian) and Destin (Moderate) Setting: Sky Maze + Fire and Lava Color: Orangered
The doors open for Arena Pod 1. The fighters can feel an increase in temperature right away. Originally this stage started off as a replication of the sky with light and fluffy clouds, but because the staff member combined the fight with the fighters of Arena 7, he also combined the stages. Therefore, the floating cloud stage is mixed with a molten lava stage.
There is no ground. There is molten lava and fire 5 stories under the “floor” (do NOT fall into the lava or game over). The floor is made up of dark red “clouds.” The clouds are strong enough to carry a normal person for about 10 seconds before the area gives way (so keep moving!). Each cloud is about 25 to 30 square feet large and the gaps between the clouds range from 5 to 10 feet. Geysers of lava spew up at random places about once every turn or so. (I will roll 1-100 to see how many feet one of these geysers is from either a character or group of characters. 1-10, the person(s) takes fierce damage from the geyser).
NPC: Destin Type: Oni Diff Level: Moderate Action: She steps out of the door way and expands black wings that she uses to fly into the air. She pulls a sword from a sheath worn on her back.
“Cast the darkest fire upon my blade…” {Flameblade}
She readies her sword in a back handed grip with both hands up. The sword starts to burn with dark flames. Arena Pod 4 Fighters: Psyre vs Rayje (Hard) Setting: Snowy Tundra Color: Red
The doors open for Arena Pod 2. Snow falls into the tunnels at ankle height. The fighters feel a decrease in temperature right away. The entire arena floor is covered in mounds of snowy hills and icy places. It is a wide and expansive wasteland of ice and snow. Mountains of snow rise as tall as two stories into the air at some places. There is a deep fissure in the center of the arena that is about 15 to 25 feet wide and ranges from the east to the west sides of the arena. Snow falls light, but gets strong and ferocious randomly. (I will roll 1-100 to see how strong the snow flurry momentum/strength is. 1-20 = weak strength, 20-40 = average… 80-100 = destructive).
NPC: Rayje Type: ??? Diff Level: Hard Action: Rayje steps out of the tunnel when the doors open and flies into the sky. She looks to the other side of the ring where Psyre should be exiting. She welcomes him.
“Bring the energy of the Chimera’s breath.” {Chimera’s Halfbreath, Fierce}
A wide, sparking, and honing combination of fire and electric energy rushes across the distance of the arena breaking through a large ice dune on its way to Psyre. Arena Pod 5 Fighters: Domen vs Joxtin Setting: Burning Desert Color: Blue
The doors open for Arena Pod 4. It opens up to reveal a large expansive desert. The ground ripples with waves of “invisible” heat. A large and bright light source shines down from the top of the dome. The rolling ground consists of sand dunes and sun burnt rocks. There are sinkholes of very strong quick sand that appear in the ground at random areas. (I will roll 1-100 to see how many feet away one of these sink holes is from a character or both characters. 1-10, the person(s) are bound by the sinkhole).
NPC: Joxtin Type: Hitorinji Diff Level: Easy Action: He steps out of the large doors. His shirt is battered and bloody. He looks across the desert and points at where Domen should be. He brings his thumb to his neck and slashes it to the side.
“You’re dead! Ahhhhhh!.....”
He starts running across the desert at Domen screaming. Arena Pod 6 Fighters: Seiki vs Bob (easy) Setting: Urban Jungle Color: Purple
The doors to Arena Pod 6 open. It’s like the setting of I Am Legend. The entire arena is a broken city. Abandoned sky scrapers loom high into the air almost touching the top of the pod’s dome. Aspault and cement streets are broken with small areas of grass growing. Plants cover over cars and structures. They climb up buildings and there are small scavenger animals scattered around. There is a main street that connects both entrances to the arena. Both opponents have a line of sight between them.
NPC: ‘Bob’ Type: Yokai Diff Level: Easy Action: A three story high Yokai squeezes out of the entrance doorway. He slides into the city leaving a wet trail like a snail. He grunts and makes weird noises… and farts. Arena: 1/7, Fighters: Mukesh (Bonus!) vs Ashram (Adrian), Color: Orange Arena: 1/7, Fighters: Aria vs ??? (moderate), Color: Pink Arena: 2, Fighters: Grunty vs ??? (hard), Color: Green Arena: 4, Fighters: Psyre vs ??? (supa hard), Color: Red Arena: 5, Fighters: Domen vs ??? (easy), Color: Blue Arena: 6, Fighters: Seiki vs ??? (easy), Color: Purple Arena: 9, Fighters: Seven vs ??? (hard), Color: Gray
Ooc: I’ll only comment on active ppl to save time. Sorry for the skimpy synopsis. Kept getting interrupted @ work. I’ll be prettying posts up later if I can get to it. Color code your posts to make things easier on me. Thx ^__^
