| | | Here sits a creature of green skin, hunched over within the squat he had recently sunk into. Little did he crave more than for his business to remain his own and others to remain their own. Such is nigh excruciatingly apparent if one were to paint its face with a sizing gaze. It appears tinged with a persistent restiveness. His eyes skim his encompassing contours, the likes of which find themselves doused within the obscuring shades of nightfall. He occupies an alleyway, its wall stretching upwards before seemingly melding into the very night itself. This air he assimilates holds the eeriness the evening incessantly draws with it; but something more occupies it, something indescribable, but subtly sensible. Fortunately, he seems finished with his fruitless inspection of the ground. There is nothing there – nothing worth plucking from the doubtlessly soiled ground below. The shimmer that had presented itself belonged to nothing more than a bottle cap. It was certainly no kind of currency for his fortune had never seemed of a calibre to permit such a find.
How terrible it is for this feeling finally manifests physically. First emerges a low, daunting growl. It’s nearby and as he turns his head to place the alley’s end within his line of sight, the vague outline of a canine creature creeps forward. “Oh no…Oh no!” he repeats as he rises from his previous position. His hands are pushed outwards, attempting to push back what stubbornly, wickedly approaches. Fully aware he must be that no words he could craft would amount to anything for he said nothing more. Instead, he proceeded to turn upon a pivot and move into a sprint, the likes of which would carry him down a street in a panic nobody could bear witness to. Abruptly, the mass of black fur glazed within the skyward shed of a lamppost settled in front of him, blocking his path immediately. He stumbled backwards, managed to maintain his footing, and decided to send a furry of words its way. “H-Hey!” The possible imp begins to plead as the beast before him hungrily licks his chops. “You wanna eat me…I see how it is, but look at me. I’m green! You know I’m not gonna taste good!” The ground sounded a thump abrupt, low, and dull, as he was placed beneath its paws, pinned to the ground.

| | | With every look she exchanges with every person in this building she sees something in their eyes. She does not see the pureness. But she can smell their gross odours and alcoholic breath like salinity in water. She doesn't look at them with a bad look but she does look at them with a look that expecting something from every one of them. When she first started she couldn't understand why such people would even waste their time at such a divine house. But as she grew accustomed to this modernized civilization she began to see that these people were just as valuable as everyone else. These people were strong hearted as they wanted to change and sculpt themselves in a different manner to become servants of God and to assure that their beliefs were just as strong as her own. To teach them of the ways of God was a justice and this might have been the origin of her name. Justice, maybe her Mother had named her that because she had been destined to undergo this activity in teaching the ignorant. In the Lower Commons it was time for change and it was time for an era of purification to come along at last. And that was that.
"Mrs. Aobara was a good woman, she was hard working and never lost her faith. She will be missed dearly by the Aobara family. But! This death is the start of a new life... A life with God where there's no more heart problems, no more illness no more worries - she's in heaven now with God."
Her azure eyes look over the crowd with an empathetic expression. Her voice is powerful and coherent and each and every person inside of the Church is listening intently to the words she is speaking. She knows that the words she says will cause a variety of things. She knows she has to carefully place them to soothe the rueful hearts of the audience before her. Her mellifluous voice projected through the microphone close to her this does not stop her from performing gestures and walking around the wooden floor of the house. Sometimes her voice is displaying sympathy, and sometimes it is loud enough to cause Him to hear her, loud enough to pull his attention to this very holy house and assure that the prayers of the Aobara family is reached. The girl can understand what death can bring and the sorrows that will never be able to be ridded of, but she knows that He can cleanse them of the sadness that plagues them. She knows this well because at some point in her life she herself had to experience these troubles but her Mother, someone who occupied the same job as her back where she came from, taught her and helped her be guided by the God she now adores so much.
"Lord, hear my prayers and WIPE AWAY the tears that the Aobara family cries. Let them know that when despair approaches it is You who they should call upon. Dwell their faith in You so you can lift them up and pull them away from their sorrows."
Some sweat begins to break at her forehead and she extends her hand and picks up the towel near the wooden stand that held an additional microphone. Rubbing it briefly across her forehead she resumes her pace once more. This had been at least the third funeral service in the past month that she had to attend. It was a hard job but at the same time it had been a very fulfilling job. The horde of people continued to chant their frequent 'yes' and 'amen' and she knew she had been doing it right. She is glad that she was making people give their faith to God. Some people didn't believe in him and that was because some people simply were not spiritually aware. It was a sad thing really that people were so ignorant to the things around them and they actually considered her own logistics to be inferior to their own. But she doesn't mind this as most of the time it is not their fault. A lot of the time it is simply because their exposure to lectures about Him isn't exactly frequent. It is a sad thing to know but it is very true. It was real! If you had faith then you could assure to yourself that you would be blessed by the Fatherly figure.
"Some of the little ones I know that you may not have given yourself to the Lord yet. But please consider doing so because then when your time comes you will be able to join God in the Heavens and smile with the people you have lost. He is on our side, He loves us, He is with us. Please, put your trust in him and he will help, dwell your faith into His promises!"
Eventually she came to conclude the service and after the others have left the building she exits and heads out into the streets. She isn't clad in too much mundane clothing but she's made adjustments somewhat. An involuntary shiver runs down her spines from the chill of night. Night services were always difficult seeing as getting there in the Lower Commons could be a pain with all of the street life currently going on. A light sigh passes from her lips and appears in a cloud of misty vapour. Looking over the area she doesn't see any abnormal activity happening and everything seems to be rather peaceful. But eventually, she catches her foot on an object and sends herself falling towards the pavement. She realizes that it was someone's shoe and this was why wearing gloves and the like hadn't been the greatest idea. A grave sigh expels from her mouth but she manifests a calm demeanour nevertheless. Her eyes elude the populace around her and now within this lowered position she can see the demonic activity currently happening. Her brow raises exceptionally as she perceives this to be something odd... a yokai undergoing a fight with another yokai.
"What's going on over there? I can't just let that keep going..."
Pushing herself up from her position she looks over towards the creature that currently pinned down the other. She could see that the smaller one was being overwhelmed, and this in itself had been a sin. As a Paladin amongst the residence she couldn't let this go on any longer. She knows that these people are accustomed to seeing some odd things going on but she knows for the sake of her reputation she would have to ward this yokai off minus the terrain destruction. Besides, it wouldn't be very nice of her to destroy the terrain when other people worked so hard on it. It took her a while to get that fact through her head when she first entered this city...
"Divine Earth, declare me as your jurist."
Sand breaks apart from the ground and moulds into a large sledgehammer-esque weapon. Despite this, it mirrors the apparel of a judges hammer. Grasping the large pole it had for a handle the girl moves at a velocity the eye could not foresee. Arching it back after having arrived at the location of the demon she swings upwards with enough force to break a few ribs if it connected. Likely, it would also send it flying near the alleyway that had been close in proximity. It had not been a normal strike, in fact, it had been the infamous weapon attack only utilizable by parties who were 'activated'. She likes to call it 'Magnitude' because of the effects that it can have if she strikes a target that is attached to a surface. It is capable of causing imprints in the ground at the location the target comes in contact with. In this case- it would likely be that brick wall over there.
"There is no place for malevolence in this world."

| | | His pace was rapid, four-legged steps taken in such a matter as to enlace them with intent malicious, creepy. His body of vernal whites and gallant silvers were difficult to detect beneath night’s veiling, sequestering cloak. Difficult it was for reasons beyond that, but obvious nonetheless. He had taken a position upon the naked crowns of the buildings overhead. The purpose behind his roof-top escapades were known only by himself. Below had his gaze been cast and upwards it turned until his sights reclaimed the path mapped out before him. His eyes, ceaseless in their impenetrable blackness, sought an ill activity ostensibly festering within the eavestroughs of this section of city. Why this was so had never been understood – or at least, not until events of recent. Was such illuminated in its entirety? No, but doubtlessly his place was here.
Chance would permit him to happen upon a demon below. Its structure found highlight within the shed of an adjacent streetlamp, as did another figure. A pair of assumedly ill-natured spirits contesting within the streets of the Lower Commons. This was a relatively common occurrence no doubt, especially with yokai possessing a tendency to eat one another. However, something appeared off about one of these beings. He continued to observe, his head peering out from the edge of the building’s roof. Ajar his mouth had become as he caught wind of a girl who proceeded to take hold of a weapon before evanescing into the night itself. His eyes broadened momentarily, a reverberating eruption of splintering bone and merciless impact drawing his attention towards the sounding’s origins. He watched seemingly awestruck as the beast was forced into the wall of the alley that had birthed it. Crumbling stone was audible there after as well as a silence thereafter.
He was uncertain as to what to make of the occurrence. A human girl had just come to the aid of a yokai. He held no ownership of a tragic past that he was aware of, so it was not confusion born of conflict with what he had learned; more so, it was a conflict with what he had assumed, seemingly instinctively. A moment was spent considering something, something he would not have bothered mulling over in the past. He did so upon the section of roof he was ever-still stationed upon.

| | | His eyes had long-since been closed, allowing entrance into a realm of freckled nothingness. His face had taken upon a subtle quiver, wincing while anticipating its extraction from the bone and muscle tethering it. Abrupt and swift, he heard the frightening sound of an impact and felt the beast’s great weight life from his ground-bound structure. A brief lull, a beat, had passed before this piteous creature permitted a lone eye to open. Nothing fell into sight but a girl with the lamp’s light pressed dramatically against her back. Inspiring words were delivered, which caused Qualude to gaze upon her before directing it towards the alleyway his attacker had been launched towards. There was an absence of sound in regards to movement or life itself even. A great relief descended upon him before it evolved into an appreciation. How great it must have been for after having pushed himself to his feet, he had latched himself onto the girl while delivering a hearty, misty-eyed hug.
“Y-You saved me!” cried the vertically challenged creature of green. “Thank you for saving me! If you hadn’t been there, he would’ve eaten me for sure!”

| | | He proved far too busy showering his saviour in a downpour of appreciation and gratitude for his awareness to catch wind of the looming eyes cast upon him from above. Gradually, however, something trickled into his cognizance as the girl he had fastened himself to began to reveal her defining, seemingly vestal colours. Amidst their deliverance, Qualude allowed his gaze to fall skyward. A blink ensued for nothing was there besides a barren rooftop, holding no company excluding a light-polluted night sky pressed against the structure’s delimiting contours. There hardly seemed to be a reason to keep his attention focused there, so he returned it towards the impossibly strong female figure. [Hoax has left.]
Finally, he let go, allowing the girl to reclaim the hand she has stationed atop his head. His expression had been drained of its delight. It was impossible to guess why for his only response was a meek chuckle and a turn towards the direction the demon had been sent towards. He made his way over and peered at the destruction the girl had caused with one mere swing of her hammer. There was no body it would seem, perhaps having been reduced to a spiritual dust after death had claimed it. “Wow, you’re awfully strong. But then, I hear even humans are wielding unusual powers these days.” His words were little more than inner thoughts taking physical, verbalized form from past, casual observances. He directed a glance back her way. “Thanks for saving a yokai like me. Oh! My name’s Qualude. That’s about all I can offer you as a thanks, I’m afraid.” Docilely, he smiled while allowing his sights to settle upon a solitary patch of soiled city floor.
