First topic message reminder :

TL;DR
Actually, Too Long; Still Read is more appropriate.
My head hurts.
Do not refer to an unconfirmed hit in present or past tense (i.e. “I would hit” instead of “I hit”)
Be specific (i.e. “I punch his face” instead of “I would punch him”)

PARADOX.
I r confused again.

Interesting debate. Rekoa, one word: Myndius. Tho Rekoa does bring up a really good point that I have been pondering how to apply with site mechanics and it's the fact that the big abilities whether magic or like super arrow/bullet or weapon attack, should take longer to charge. The problem lies in how to set it up b/c we don't have like set time/action limits like in tabletop rping meaning that in a post, you generally react to your opponent's last action and respond with an action of your own and in some cases, you respond with like 2 actions... ex: A shoots at B, B guards with shield, then uses Godspeed to advance within striking distance and use Fierce attack.

Hmm... maybe when I get some real free time, I'll try to think up a way to calibrate that with our system b/c it would definitely add more strategy into things... tho I can answer to why destructive and fierce abilities are used so often... most people can BS "guarding" against something, so if you have average stats, a strong attack deals 25 dmg, while a Fierce attack deals 50 dmg, so if you have the option, especially if this is your affinity, you'll use a Fierce or Destructive ability to maximize your damage against your target. Now if you're fighting a spirit... they have strong defense, so strong deals 10 dmg, Fierce only 25, but Destructive is at 50, so it's basic numbers. People don't want long fights generally.

I agree with that, because most people can't appreciate the art behind the writing. A long fight can be an excellent read and enjoyed by everyone if done right. I really enjoyed reading the fight I had with Domen, and I lost.
One of the things that slows it down, is the incantation. I think that the word requirements for the incantations should be raised since that takes time. Technically, the second you hear a human speak one word of an incantation, you can godspeed in front of them, bish smack them, and bam, no more incantation. Does it still go off? Probably not since they a) didnt finish, and b) just got smacked in the face

As with what Tre said with the new damage system, ,hit or miss is based on how you rp the situation, so it comes back down to those who really know what they are doing against those who dont. Put your opponent in a corner where they have no where to go, and you will hit them. I want to do one fight with someone, and not use a single attack over strong.
