She wondered if she should send a text considering the time, and what he might be doing. No a call would be best, and she pressed two and speed dialed Jyn. She brought the phone to her ear as she would listen to the phone ringing as she would wait for Jyn to call or for the phone to connect to voice mail.

There is an explosion of dark energy near my position as my back is to a car set in an urban environment. Though the setting was very realistic, it was a realm environment created by the R&D department of the Division. Angela had me running training scenarios with my teammates in an effort to reduce the chances of me losing ‘it.’ People seemed to be of the opinion that once you carried a desk job, then you proceeded to get fat and lazy, thus losing any battle skills you may have had. As previously mentioned, with my handicap of being a normal human, I couldn’t allow such a thing to happen, and on top of that, I had to remain being a respected figure amongst my team. I drop a clip in order to reload for the counter assault I would have to do. While doing this, I eye the various positions of my teammates and then suddenly my phone rings. Typically I would ignore it, but the ring tone signified that it was Izumi on the line. I hadn’t realized yet how long it had been since I was last in contact with Izumi to know whether it had been a while or recently; I simply assumed she was checking up to see where I was. I press the earpiece on my ear to push through the audio and just as I do, a strong force of dark energy hits the car causing it to rock slightly. Dashing forward, I make way towards an abandoned building to seek further cover; while running, I speak, “hey babe.”

The ringing had stopped and a loud noise comes on the other end and a weak smile crossed her lips as she kept her steps. His voice soon followed, she couldn't understand it but right now hearing his voice made her heart break. she took in a deep breath. "H-hey sweety. I do h-hope I'm not interrupting anything important." She said trying her best to sound rather happy, though with the current situation she was in, no amount of acting skill's could help her. The snakes on her head slithered about and her now lavender eyes shifted to the right and down to the floorboards. She could hear the sound's in the background, which sounded like he was busy and knowing his position it would be rather rare for him to actually be out on the field, he was behind a desk now so he would rarely have to leave. Possibly training in the virtual realm again, possibly due to Angela's crazed pursuations again.

Making it into the building, I turn after entering the door as a ball of energy passes my position and explodes further into the interior of the building. I lower myself and find cover behind a booth in this broken diner setting. My back is to the furthest side of the booth as I hold my guns ready, waiting to see if my target would follow and enter into the building. Light came in from the window, but the lights of the actual diner were out as if the building had no power. I hear the hesitation in her voice, and though I was a bit busy, I was able to realize that something was wrong. I assure her, “you’re not really interrupting anything, I’m in a Realm environment.” As if spoken by god, Angela’s voice echoes about the ‘world’ as it commands, “Commissioner, please do be more serious about your training. This is not a time to talk on the phone.” I frown, looking around and wondering just where the hell the cameras were in a place like this. I could hear gun fire in the distance, meaning members of my team were probably covering one another, or attacking enemies near them. Ignoring Angela, I continue on speaking with Izumi in the pause I maintained for the moment as I say, “what’s wrong? You sound as if something’s the matter…” I didn’t like bush beating; with my type of thought process, I immediately thought on the worst case scenario when having to speculate on bad news.

How could she put this? She knew he didn't like to beat around the bush, but she herself didn't know exactly how to say it head on. She had a pause as she heard the echo of Angela saying he shouldn't be on the phone. She gave a short laugh and smiled weakly on her phone, she would certainly miss that for a while. Jyn was quite perceptive into already feeling like something was wrong. She shook her head, tears forming in her eyes her heart aching. "I don't wanna break your concentration on the realm environment..." She started as she took a turn down a hallway. A soft hissing noise coming from her hair. "I found something, a bit important that I have to take care of." She couldn't tell him exactly what was wrong, she really wanted to but that fear of how he'll react burned her insides. "I'll have to take some leave for a while, though... I'll still have my phone, I just won't be able to come back until this situation has been hammered out." A nervous look upon her face. "There's something involving my family that I need to take care of. It's not something easy either but I should be done by the end of the month." She hoped he wouldn't be upset by this, she really didn't want to cause a problem. Though she felt that she was becoming a problem to him.

A shadow enters into the room and behind it comes the figure of a beast demon in the form of a tiger hybrid mixed with ugly. As it comes in, I pull up from my position and aim both guns at it firing several shots at the creature which lunges in my direction. As it comes upon me, I roll back with it and press off with my feet, sending it beyond me as I roll into a crouch and fire the remaining clip into the creature’s stomach. It fades away for the moment and I pause, having missed portions of whatever Izumi was talking about. I caught the end portion and something about her having to take leave for about a month. Normally I would assume that this had something to do with her acting roles, as she would vanish from time to time for extended periods of time to immerse herself into a role, though I hadn’t noticed her do such a thing lately, or take on any acting jobs. My assumption is corrected when she explains that it was family issues, which was odd, since I didn’t know any of her family or that she had one. I remember her saying that they were all gone, but I figured there was probably a reason why she didn’t want me to know about her family life. Getting my bearing and sensing out for spirit signatures, I answer back, only slightly distracted, “that’s fine. A month’s a bit long, but if this is something you’ve already thought about I won’t say anything.”

The noise in the background was loud and she wondered if he heard her as she wasn't really positive. Taking that turn she moved down the hallway and kept moving until she was mid-way to where she had stopped, to her right was a large door that led to the Hiramoto library. Nodding her head to what he had said. "I have, it's something that's going to be time consuming. I just found a secret to my family and I have research I have to do and a few places I have to visit. It would have been easier if I had any other family alive, but it's just me which is why it's going to take so long. Though I'll keep my phone on me and call you." A weak smile forming on her face as with one hand she slowly pushed open the door. "Thank you Jyn. You are an amazing man."

It seemed like I had a moment to catch my breath as she finishes up her words. I pause for a moment there near the rear of the dinner type setting. Listening to her, I was a bit confused about why I was so great, but her explanation of finding something within her family’s history, or something to that nature, made it easier for me to understand and accept her absence. I knew her family was important to her and I had no particular reason to be selfish in this scenario. I give a nod as I my gaze looks towards the doorway, my inward attention on Izumi as I assure, “that’s fine. Take your time and find out what you need. I’m sure you can teleport to me if I need you, but I’ll try to do things myself until you return.” It did kind of suck that I would be without a secretary for an entire month, but I figured that I could push some of that work off to my team. Michael seemed to be good with computers, so it was my guess his typing speed wasn’t too bad. Since it did seem like this would be a tough thing for her to do alone I offer, “I’ll try to get off a few evenings if you want help with this since you don’t have any family members to help.” I didn’t know if it was something I could help with, but if she needed me, I wanted her to know that I could be there for her.

She lowered her head, oh how she would love it if he could come and help her with this, but the thought of turning him to stone like she had almost turned Seiki to stone was a dreading feeling. She didn't want him to end up like that, she needed to find something that could hold back this dreaded power within her eyes. Her head sunk low as sh stood there at the entrance to the Hiramoto Library. Shaking her head she declined. "No, it's quite alright Jyn, it's going to be a lot of boring stuff really. Plus I can't have you leaving from the city, you're the commissioner remember, you got an important job to keep everyone there safe." It was quite the low blow to pull that sort of thing, but if it meant that it would keep him where he was then it would be for the best. "If anything should happen, I'll teleport right to you so no worries. You keep doing the good job that you're doing my love." Her voice softened. "I shall do my best to return before the month is up."

My eyes shift from the door and lower to the ground; it would be hard to be without her for a little while, but I figured we both had our worlds to influence. I understood that she didn’t want to pull me away from my responsibilities, so I didn’t pursue the offer of going with her any further; though I didn’t know where there actually was. I assumed she was either on her family’s land or in the city somewhere. “Okay,” I conclude after her words. At that moment a large demon bounds through the door and rushes my position catching me off guard. The wall to the side explodes with an enforcer smashing through it and slamming the creature through the other side of the room before I could even identify it. The passenger door opens as Michael smiles and gives a thumb up and comments, “look alive boss!” I almost laugh at the sight; since Michael wasn’t good at fighting, he could run things over. I give a nod of acknowledgement before returning to Izumi, “well I’m in realm, so I’ll let you go for now, okay?”

She heard the commotion in the background and gave a nervous sigh as Angela sounded as though she were out for blood in the realm like usual. That woman was certainly bizarre and strange, but was good for a lot of things and training was certainly one of them. She nodded her head as she listened to Jyn's last words. "Yes dear, I'll talk to you some other time then. I love you and..." she paused a moment and smiled gently. "Give'em hell."

“Heh,” I chuckle slightly with her final words. I figured when I had more time, I would have to call her back and make sure there wasn’t something to be worried about. Her words seemed a bit dramatic, but I didn’t know what this family thing consisted of. Either way, I reciprocate her words assuring her that I loved her as well and spoke, “goodbye.” With that, I lift my finger and press to cancel the call, hearing a beep as we are disconnected. Returning my attention to the events at hand, I move forwards to accompany Michael as the training would continue to resume until the objectives were met.
