Once upon a time, in a village by the coast. Lived a young fisherman and his wife. Now the fisherman would go out every day to earn their living, while she stayed at home. For a few short years they continued this happy life. Soon a great storm came up and the fisherman could not go to the sea. The waves were high and the village was nearly destroyed. The storm itself had come up quickly and many of the village boats had been dashed against the rocks. After the storm, the fisherman, seeing the destruction of the ships and the ruin of the village, knew that he needed to do something. So he and his young wife traveled to the desert and he learned the secret of making glass from the nomads there.
Armed with this knew knowledge he came back to the village. He wanted to make something that would stand against the ocean storms and warn the fishermen and sailors of the rocky coast and help guide them into the harbor during a storm. So he built a large stone structure, and used the glass he made to help reflect the light of a lantern. He called it a lighthouse and it stood against the tide and storms. And sure enough, the village fisherman, after rebuilding the village, when they went out they were able to see the dangerous rocks and were able to navigate back into harbor safely.
On one such night, the young wife took a ship to another village in order to visit her parents. A storm came up without warning and threw the ship against the rocks. Those on board the ship drown. When word reached the young fisherman that his beautiful wife lay at the bottom of the ocean, he cast himself off the lighthouse onto the rocks below. And the lighthouse fell into disrepair.
To this day, it is said that around the crumbling lighthouse near the husk of a fishing village, you can see the ghost of the young wife crying for her loss. And that ships that go near those rocks are still warned by a song telling them to turn away before death. Little do they know that the wife was saved by an ocean spirit. And as the spirit took over her body, it gave her the ability to survive in the water. And that she morns the loss of her love.

I know. I'm still thinking. I didn't think it had to be done right away.
