Testing lab results

A thousand times Brendan had snuck out of the house late at night while his mom had been busy with her shows on the the television. It was becoming quite easy. Tonight had been no exception. From the streets it someone would have spotted a small white animal moving across the rooftops. Once Brendan was a block from his house he leapt to a tree and scurried down. One the ground the small white fox shifted in shape and size and became a teenager with white hair that barely hid two white fox ears. Following behind him was a fuzzy white foxtail. He usually kept it tucked in but that was uncomfortable and it was dark. Brendan made his way to the bus stop and tucked in his tail. Once aboard like the thousand times before he told the driver the adress for the secluded park in the lower commons. He needed places to safely toy with his inventions without being distrubed. With all the normal fuss going on in the lower commons people would be less liable to come check on his ruckus. Plus normally people dont go out to play in parks at night in the lower commons. He waits until the bus is out of site before he untucks his tail and makes his way deep into the park. Further back in the park out of view from the road is a small bridge that goes over a park pathway. Under this bridge is usually where he does his business. Brendan digs into his back pack and digs out his new polymer he created in science class earlier that day.

Setting the polymer on the ground Brendan backs up a bit and looks around to make sure no one is watching. He smiles a bit. Science is always soo much fun. Especially when one gets to play with fire. Brendan backs up about 8 feet from the polymer. He extends his hand out and looks deep inside himself for that pool of energy he knew was there. He only recently discovered he had this ability and was still getting used to it. Upon finding this pool he taps into it and he can feel the energy rising to his hand as if it was a natural thing for him. "In search of knowledge" White flame spews fourth from his hand streaking across the distance like a flame thrower. The white flame engulfs the polymer and it is no longer visible through the flames that are attempting to consume it. When Brendan first discovered this pool of energy inside of him he wondered what exactly it was for. He researched it day and night. Eventually he found the answer in an article his father wrote. It spoke of research he was doing on certain beings that had magical power thats needed words to be called upon. So Brendans first forray into magix was simply him strolling through this park reciting phrases hoping to get lucky. Of course he did and upon further investigation he discovered different skills required different chants but it was all based on syllables. The white flames from Brendans ability was causing white flashes to flicker throughout the park. Keeping the flames up he looked around nervously as the flashes lit up the area by the bridge. "Hopefully no one sees this."

His concern for getting noticed grows until it finally convinces him that he has fully tested his new polymers durablilty to intense heat. As he walks back over to where he set the polymer down glances across the park to the road. He is releived to not see any stopped cars. Looking down he sees the blackened sidewalk where he had focused his flow of flame. In the center of the blackened circle was a blackened brick. Noticing it isnt melted he allows himself a bit of smile. "So it holds up to the heat alot better than I expected. Nice." Bending over he grabs it with his right and and holds it up in the moonlight to observe it closer. He wipes his finger across it and as he does his finger wipes away a streak of black revealing the shiny silver color of the polymer. "Wow! its trully flame resistant" Now for he strength test he concludes. He walks out of the underpass and out into an open grassy area. Having tried dropping it onto the sidewalk from an overpass on the way back from the store earlier that day he knew it was tougher than that. especially when a car ran it over when it had bounced from the sidewalk into the road. Now he was going to try something a bit bigger. He sets the polymer brick down in the grass and pulls his backpack off his shoulder and sets it down next to the brick.
