Moonlight Sonata( Training) Empty
PostSubject: Moonlight Sonata( Training)   Moonlight Sonata( Training) EmptySun Oct 17, 2010 9:10 am

After being employed by the Kyro corperation for security Pennywise realised that if he was going to fit into the disguise of " Wiseman" he was going to need to have at least some professional qualifications that would at least have it make sense for him to be the security guard. And although he'd gotten some experience in physical fighting from his time bringing down the pain on Arden's rough housers. Whilst spreading his name as a demon lord. Well. He asn't quite a master as it. Trained as he was. And there was no actual qualification either. So, he had brought the issue up with Shiori and she had arranged to have him placed in one of the local Judo dojos. He had choosen Judo specifically because he felt more comfortable with grappling and hold techniques as opposed to the usual punching and kicking. And luckily. Judo was also something that most professional guards and even law enforcement trained in nowadays. That was not to say however that he wouldn't go into learning other forms of fighting. But for now, he would stick to hat he felt comfortable with. And of course..he'd make sure to get a written degree whilst he was doing it.

All of the students. As expected. Were human. Which of course meant he was going to have to tone down his blows and holds. Well. Not too much. He'd make sure that each move he made would not be enough to kill them. But enough so that they'd be quite impressed with his strength. He did intend to move forward in these classes quickly after all.

The first class had been simple enough. He'd of course told the instructor his human alias. Wiseman. That would have to be the name that went on any of his documents after all when he was finished with thee classes. He obtained a uniform for wear during these lessons. What the instructor called a jūdōgi, it consisted of a long white top part, much like a jacket. But slightly lengthened. And a pair of white trousers. And of course, a white belt. That would apparantly indicate his rank in the class as he learned more and moved upwards. He was curious as to just what colour came next, and supposed the man would answer him if he asked. But in a way he wanted to keep it a surprise. Each rank would be something different to aspire towards. Something more to gain and earn in this new life in the silent world. The class itself consisted of teaching the basics of the sport to new class members. He was in with several other adults. Most of whoem were male. However there were a couple of women in here. No doubt most of the men wuld be underestimating the women due to the typical thought that men were generally superior to women as far as physical strength went. But...Pennywise wasn't. After all. He knew Shiori...

The basics seemed to be explaining to the men that although physical strength helped with holding. Most of the moves within the sport were actually designed to use the strenght of the opponent against them. Which seemed to be an interesting point. Particularly if you were facing an opponent who was bigger and stronger than you were. For a second there Pennywise actually had to wonder if this applied to him. Would these moves if used by a human be able to contain the strength of an Oni? If so....suddenly the spark of curiousity about this whole thing had flared up within him.

In this class he'd learned a few basic moves with the others, his spar partne had been one of the new men. They were to practice on each other. Firt was a leg sweep. Which seemed simple enough. Grasping hold of the opponents jacket. Right hand on the collar, Left hand slightly below. Strike out with the foot behind the opponent And push then down into the sweep. It'd end with the opponent on their ass and could be moved into other submission moves. It was...for lack of a better word. Fun. And that was something that he didn't quite know how to deal with. In the past his idea of fun had been dismembering other demons. Or even humans. Raping. Destroying. Following the noise of the drums. And yet now in the silence. Everything seemed all so pointless that way. Well. Maybe dismembering other demons was still a little fun. However if he was going to let this human guise work. Then he was going to have to leave that in Onitoshi...or...when they directly opposed him at his day job. Although. With his growing reputation as a Lord in Onitoshi. Soon enough the only ones who would directly want to attack him would be other lords.

Speaking of which he'd still to hunt down the one that had sent that female demons and her chaff of lackies after him in Arden. Again something he was going to have to get to when he made his way back to hell. But first the classes. And of course. Helping Shiori figure out a way past the spirit net. Of course. That was mostly down to her and her corperation. Till then all he could do was help whenever she was outside of the metro area. And of course...train and get stronger. Strength would likely be needed in the coming days. For both of them.

Second class had involved a little more hands on work. Less talking. Warm ups were simple enough. Fifty push ups followed by one hundred sit ups. Then into the actual working of the class. Ground take downs and holds. mostly it focused on the neck as far as holding went. However they were also shown the technique of using strength against opponents. It was all to do with their joints. A little pressure applied could over come greater strength rather easily. If the person thrashed with their own strength. THe pressure on the joint could threaten it to break, or even invert and dislodge. The warning pain causing them to settle back into the hold. To thrash again and then settle. A cycle that would keep them within the move. By the third class. The instructor was impressed with his techniqus. Bringing him forwar in front of the other class mates and telling him that he had a natural gift for this sport. He sort of felt as if his status as an Oni however gave him an unfair advantage over the ther human students. But then again. When did that ever matter in a real fight. Which is precisely what he was training for.

He'd earned a new belt. It was yellow. Interesting.

It matched his eyes. He removed the jacket. underneath wearing a grey sports vest. He put on a pair of sneakers, keeping the white trousers of his Judogi on as he headed out the door saying goodbye to the instructor and his fellow students. Mittens had been waiting outside for him. Brushing against his leg and purring. He'd head down the street like this. Sports bag swung over his shoulder. Turning the corner, he was rather surprised when he bumped into a group of rather unkempt youths. Mittens let out a rather loud hiss, knowing that there was danger on the horizon. They grinned, but also had that look of annoyance on their face. One poked him in the chest, and asked just what he thought he was doing bumping into important people like them. Important...of course. He wasn't quite in the mood for messing about with this bunch. So, he grabbed the wist of the boy who thought he could take him. And stepped into a submission hold. Placing pressure on the elbow and twisting his wrist pressing his face into the wall of a building.

"Now boys I don't quite have time to be messing around, me and my cat are going home and you aren't going to get in the way are you?"

And of course just as he finished that sentence another idiot dived for him. Penny ducked under the clumbsy blow, And brought him into a headlock. Using his skills, applying a blood choke n the boy. Backing slowly away from the other two who wouldn't attack, not so long as he had their friend. He took another step back then felt the slump of the youth in his arms as he'd fallen unconcious. He dropped the boy. Blood choke was good for a knock out but if held too long it could be fatal...and he was trying to lean off killing humans nowadays. The one he'd put in the original submission hold moved to kick him. Penny caught the leg, twisted the foot sharply, breaking it. The other looked at him for a second. And then took off running in the other direction. Dusting his hands off Penny couldn't help but look at the tw he'd dispatched and think...that perhaps this physical training was going to coe in handy in Onitoshi after all.

Moonlight Sonata( Training) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moonlight Sonata( Training)   Moonlight Sonata( Training) EmptySun Oct 17, 2010 10:50 am

He'd made his way down the corner to the local moonbucks and went inside to grab a cup of tea. He thought that there would be the odd chance that Shiori was working today, but unfortunatly no such luck. He looked into the paper and sat down with his tea. White, no sugar. Just the way he liked it. Couldn't say for sure why he liked it like that. But it was just one of those odd things from his life as a human that had kind of stuck even beyond death. He was actually curious as to why Shiori hadn't asked him yet about his life before dying. Not that he could actually answer much about that. Because to put it plainly. He couldn't really remember much about it himself. There were odd flashes here and there. Horses and carriages. And there were no cars. He remembered that much. But That really could have been from any era that used horse drawn transport. There was also that dream that he kept having. Waiting on the beach for someone. Church bells in the background.

He remembered in the alley. In the dream. he'd asked Shiori if she was his wife. Although. In that case it hadn't been as if he was the person in the dream. Merely, a spectator. So in that way it was more like an interactive memory. Still if anything it was something to focus on, if he was truely gaining his memories from this silence. Then perhaps more of who he had been would reveal itself to him. If not. It didn't really matter. His life was now, not then. He took another sip of his tea before turning over to the business section and noticed Shiori's name there. It was an interesting thing to see, the name printed and to be able to put a face to it. A person to it. Mittens gave out a stark little meow as she peaked out from behind his paper. Her paw on the front. From their connection, he realised that she wanted something to drink as well. And had one of the girls bring over a saucer of warm milk. Which the kitten began to lap at rather smoothly.

He took another turn on the paper, but heard a rather unfortunate sigh from one of the girls working. Apparantly there were people, rough people waiting outside. Pulling down his paper. Pennywise let out a rather tired sigh as he saw one of them was that youth that had gotten away earlier from his beating. He'd came back and apparantly had brought some friends to play this time. They had a few weapons with them. Mostly crude iron pipes. One of them even had a brick. They wern't anything but street thugs. Probably from the east city. Or even more likely the lower street commons. Pennywise called over one of the girls and told them to look after Mittens, even if she was part of him, and therefore an Oni on her own. She was still a kitten. The girl seemed all too happy to. Then he stood up, took a last gulp of his tea. And headed out the door before the Moonbucks waitress could grab him and tell him not to.

As expected there was some taunting of him. And really in the end he just wanted to beat the crap out of them so he could hurry up and get back to his tea before it got cold. The first one came at him with that iron pipe. He remembered a particular move from his sparring sessions in the judo class about facing armed opponents. As the pipe moved in, he shifted his body to the left, just ever so slightly. then moved his palm to the base of the pipe as it swung, the strike was parried away. The youth made for another swing, this time going for Penny's head. He made an upper thrust with his palm in a similar manner, but this time vertily, the pipe brushing over the top of his head. Missing again. However he wouldn't get another change to strike As Pennywise grabbed the arm. Locked it. And then broke the bone in one swift movement. He turned to face another attacker, this one with a switch blade. He made the same parrying move, palming away the blade as the opponent went for a stabbing strike. He moved in and struck the boy in the face. Breaking the nose.

He grunted. Losing his patience. As another one moved in. Grabbing the boy and lifting him up with one hand from the throat. So tempted to snap his neck like the twig it was. Instead. He just threw both to the ground. Fear in the eyes of the rest as they ran away. He put a hand through his hair...and then walked back into the cafe.

Moonlight Sonata( Training) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moonlight Sonata( Training)   Moonlight Sonata( Training) EmptySun Oct 17, 2010 12:14 pm

Moonbucks had fallen sort of silent after he had gotten rid of those thugs. The girls had been looking at him awfully strangly after they'd seen him pick up those men and toss them as if they were nothing. But after the quiet had persisted for awhile, and the girls saw that at least for now Penny had no intention of hurting them. The mood calmed and they gave him another cup. On the house. Just for getting rid of those thugs. Bad for business apparantly. Still he got back to his newspaper and read away, continuing to the last page before shutting it, folding it and laying it down n the table. Seeemd that mittens had lapped her way through the milk awhile ago. Now it was jut a case of getting himself up and ready to go. He could have easily just teleported himself through the darkness of the night back to the penthouse in the east city. But...something told him that it would probably be a better idea to walk.

The night in this world was different to Onitoshi. The place still got dark, but in hell night as something that was more to be feared, In this place, whilst there was still an odd feeling of paranoia at times, really depended on the place. For the most part. Night on earth held this strange feeling of calm. Peace and an odd air of romance. He let out a sigh as he looked down at his cat. Part of himself. Little mittens the kitten. She looked up at himalso with curious yellow eyes to mirror his own. Despite the nice feeling of this night. He ha little need for romance, or peace. Need. Nor time it seemed now. Becoming a demon lord meant that most of his time would now be consumed by either spreading fear in Arden. Or by protecting Shiori. Not that he held the latter in any kind of regret. He enjoyed the new sense of duty he had about this. And of course, enjoyed the company of the woman herself.

Such a strange thing it seemed. But, there was something about her that had always garnered his sense of curiouity. Even when the drums had ruled his life. Something of a connection. But maybe that was just her. Her own trange form of magic that brought to her a connection with all people. No matter how strange or mad. But then who was to know but the woan herself? Or, perhaps even se didn't know just what her own power was ver these kinds of people. Maybe it was that sense of care and hurt that humans had. They reached out to Shiori just as she did to them. He bent down and picked up Mittens. Letting the thoughts drift from his mind. He made it back into the Penthouse. And moved into the training room and put down his gear. Although he was doing exceedingly well in Judo he couldn't help but feel there was still more that he could learn. He wanted to get ahead in things. So. Bending down he picked up one of those magazines that had been left down. Giving brief tutorials and explainations on different fighting styles.

There were a couple that particularly caught his eye. Muay Thai. And Tai Kwon Do. There were a few of the moves listed in the book. He played about with them in the training room on the sand bag. And there was indeed a feeling of comfort with them. Just like there had been with Judo...perhaps he'd look into taking a few classes. With that decideed he took off his clothes and headed inot the shower. Throwing his vest onto the top of mittens who would send out a light mew of protest. Funny little cat. He turned on the shower and let the water cleanse his body of the sweat and dirt. Before stepping out. Drying off...and getting out into the dark pent house. Bed was soft. Comfrotable. Would probably be some time before he felt it again. He climbed in. Was rather big just for him. Yet Mittens jumped up next to him. And pured lightly as she began to sleep. Penny however...just stared at the roof for awhile. Looking at the blank white before eventually sleep took him.
