Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySat Nov 06, 2010 7:55 pm

Kuna had found the portal easy enough and a bit of swimming had brought him back through the portal and into his own realm. He still was unsure of how he had gotten back there, and it seemed like he would take further examination upon what he needed to do to see if he had gotten a concussion that would explain the memory loss. Those lingering questions were pushed out of his mind as he rested upon one of the larger rocks on the cove and glanced around. It was odd that the portal between the realms wasn't guarded on either side, but the powers that be probably just kept surveillance on the place. He shrugged his shoulders at that and just stood up stretching and started making his way away from the coastline and towards the far away spires of Sai City. He had his first university classes that he needed to attend in a few weeks time, and he couldn't be late for that.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySat Nov 06, 2010 9:36 pm

Two mischievous spirits, neither really large enough to have their own shape or manifestation, linger about the portal between realms in the form of glowing spirit particles with nothing to do in particular. Seeing a lad exit from the past realm in future realm garbs, they decide to have some fun with him. “Watch this,” one says to the other as he moves to the person who had come out of the waters of the cove. The lingering spirit particle comes in front of Kuna and sits there pulsating with energy. It doesn’t say anything, but just lingers there. A box with text comes up in MMORPG style that displays its words as text stating, “You come to a wandering spirit with a quest. Walk past the spirit to accept the quest, touch the spirit to cancel the quest command and return to normal.”

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySat Nov 06, 2010 9:41 pm

"Really? The fourth wall is pretty weak at the moment. I'm just glad that Izuya isn't around to compound this." Kuna would say wryly looking directly at the fourth wall and its many cracks in it. Kuna would just poke the errant spirit and shove it out of his way, then he restored the fourth wall and promptly forgot about it and Izuya. "I'll take the quest, but don't try anything to screw me."

Kuna had managed to find a logging road and take it back too the main highway where he had been able to call a taxi cab to come pick him up at a small fortune for himself. He had gotten back to his home where he fielded a small field of questions from his parent's, but he had gotten through it without much trouble and picked up the case with his Garand in it and left the apartment for some firing at the range in Gunshyne Bastion, but he stopped in front the taxicab. "Take me too the edge of the city forest side please." He would say with a small nod from the driver who quickly took him too the city limits and deposited at the edge of the forest. He would sling the gun case over his shoulder and begin marching into the forest and use it as a expense free shooting range.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 12:39 am

The spirits would blink if they had eyes. He seemed to take the quest, but did not use the portal that they were in the process of creating for him. “That was… odd…” the other spirit says as it comes over to the first. The first agrees, “yes it was… oh well… maybe he was being sarcastic?” The other returns, “who knows…” With that, both of the wandering spirits resume doing the nothing that they were so busy with earlier. Suddenly something large bursts out of the water in spirit form. A huge spirit dragon/dragonfly hybrid pulls from the glassy waters and ascends into the skies. Much like a rocket, its body releases wind shockwaves as it shoots towards the west.

Due to the fact that it was in a spiritual form and flying at an extremely high altitude, the dragonfly dragon would pass over the city with no major issues. By the time Kuna arrived at the forests edge and the cab pulled off, there would be a whistling sound coming from the skies. With great speed, there is a huge impact to the side of Kuna, which would create its own crater, somewhere in the arena of about twenty five to fifteen feet wide, shaking the earth on impact. As the dust would clear, the large dragon beast’s body would be visible as it would seem to be looking into the forest much like Kuna; it didn’t seem to have noticed him just yet.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 1:05 am

Kuna felt the earth rumble and immediately crouched down and quickly flicked the case exposing the polished surface of metal and wood and hefted it up to draw a bead upon the beast. He didn't know the exact nature of the creature, but it was obvious that it was a spirit. Kuna knelt down hidden amongst the foliage and observed the beast for several moments. He wasn't sure that the spirit was evil, but if it was a predator it would be in for a world of hurt if it attempted too attack him. He would come out of his hiding spot the gun pointed away from the creature as it was approached by the creature. "Hello?" He would ask tensing his body ready too run across the side and snap off a shot if he needed.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 1:17 am

The large beast’s attention shifts from the forest to Kuna as he comes out and greets him. The horned head of the large beast tilts to the side at the little creature that had approached him. There is no response for a moment, but suddenly, the creature quickly shrinks, it’s body turning into a small ball of energy before it bursts and exposes the body of a small fairy in past realm clothing. The fairy stretches his arm back and twists his body from side to side as he adjusts to the new size before looking towards Kuna and pointing, “Mortal. Greetings. I am Paco, Secondary Lord of Domenance.” He looks into the forest and comments, “I am here on a quest of sorts. I seek something that I must find! It is of the utmost importance that I complete my mission flawlessly. Since my minion, Rei was unable to come with me luck has shined upon you. I will allow you to escort me through these woods.” After a short pause, Paco asks, “but… why are you out here anyways? I didn’t know that the fate master spoke of could be so convenient.” He rubbed his chin watching Kuna.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 1:30 am

The beast seemed to have shrunk...into some sort of pint sized fairy version. There was an idle thought of seeing if he could capture the beast and farm it for the fairy dust too see if it could make a person fly spontaneously. It was just an idle thought though and one which he would not act upon as he regarded the fairies words with careful consideration. "Uh, yeah greetings. The name is Kuna." He would say keeping his guard up despite the reduced size of the creature. "I don't know why your lord would say something about that, but I came out here to practice my shooting. What kind of quest are you on if I can ask you?" He asked Paco the fairy.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 1:35 am

“Shooting?” Paco would blink, not accustomed to mortals being able to shoot anything. His gaze shifts to the equipment along with the male and he would wonder if they contained the mechanical magic items that he had heard about here and there. His gaze shifts back up to Kuna as he comments, “I’m trying to find a particular guy.” He explains, “if my sources are correct, I should be able to find him in the forest. I have a rough idea where I should look, but if I fly over it, I could easily miss him. That’s why I have to go through the forest.” With an agreeable tone, he says, “since you came here to shoot your… thing… this works out for the both of us.” He asks, “how do your magic relics work? Do you just point them and force your energy through them?”

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 1:50 am

It seemed the fairy was hyperactive, which fit with the lore he knew about the lesser spirits of the realm. He listened too the stream of words that spewed from the little pint sized ball. "So, you are looking for a guy out here in the middle of nowhere." He glanced around "I guess it wouldn't hurt too help you out." He then hefted up the M1 Garand "It isn't a magic relic. Its weapon like what you see in a bow. It uses stored kinetic energy to launch a projectile at super sonic speeds, course the mechanics are a lot different then a bow since it uses a chemical reaction rather then the tension within the bow and the human hand." He would say hefting up the rifle and pulling the trigger at the nearby tree causing a large roar to explode from its muzzle and the tree to explode in a shower of splinters.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 1:58 am

The fairy is lost in the explanation of what it does. Magic would have been an easier way to describe it, but he did understand that it was kind of like a bow and arrow only he didn’t see Kuna actually load an arrow or projectile into it. He makes the assumption that the ammunition already comes in the device, but is unsure of how that occurs. When the demonstration is given and Kuna shoots into the tree, his eyes get wide. He looks from the tree to Kuna and speaks in a surprised tone, “oooh! You’re a warrior! What luck! My master would be pleased to battle you!” He looks back at the tree and admits, “that’s a rather impressive power you have. It will certainly help out if any annoyances pop up along the way!”

"The mechanics are somewhat complex, but there is a lot of variance with the device itself." He would say too the fairy spirit and would put the safety back on the rifle and held it in a neutral position. Its nothing really special, just a rifle. I don't really think of myself as a warrior, more of a hunter, but what needs to be done to find this guy?" He would ask as he opened the internal magazine and pulled out the en bloc clip and slid in a fresh cartridge into it before slapping it back into it. He would probably need to clean the rifle once he was done doing whatever this fairy wanted.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 2:21 am

For a moment, Paco is entranced by Kuna’s words and his actions with the gun once more, but he soon snaps out of it and continues, “oh, we just have to search. But don’t worry, I know the way.” Unbeknownst to Kuna at the time, Paco was horrible with directions. As such, he comments, “we should probably head south!” With that, he would begin to proceed north and into the forests expecting Kuna to follow. He would assure that this was the correct way if corrected. “My mind is like a map!” he assure Kuna, “I just follow it and…. that tree doesn’t look familiar… oh… I follow it and it takes me where I need to go.” He would float along at chest height moving through the openings between trees and forest shrubbery as he lead the way.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 2:32 am

Kuna would give a slight nod of his head and would let the fairy take over in telling the directions, but he did make note of the way he had been fascinated by his movements. He would follow the fairy deeper into the forest taking out a small pocket knife and marking the trail as they traveled. "Don't want to get lost, so you mark your trail like this. We can retrace our steps if we get lost." He would explain too the fairy, but Kuna did not expect for the spirit too listen too his explanation. The blond was just doing it for his own conscious, so that he wouldn't get lost in the forest. "So, who is your lord that you were talking about earlier?"

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 12:36 pm

Paco turns around while flying to see what Kuna was doing as they were moving into the forests. “Wow…” he says while rubbing his chin, “that is a nice mortal trick. Of course, I can just fly up and look for the ocean after I found what I needed, but what you’re doing is pretty good too.” Paco looks back to the front as he looks like he’s trying to get his bounds on where to go next, floating very slowly. He murmurs, “my lord? Of course you must know about the Lord of Domenance!” Kuna should vaguely remember the name of the nation from the attack on Sai Village in the past realm. It was rumored that the Army of Domenance was attacking Sai Village, when in fact, it was a demon puppet army from another entity. Paco clarifies, “he is the god king of the past realm.” While they walk, there is a rustling in the bushes around them, nothing loud at first, just something that would indicate that something was around and seemed be attentively watching and or following the duo.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 07, 2010 7:31 pm

Kuna would just give a little nod too the spirits ramblings. His question had seemed to have made the fairy consider its words for a moment before speaking up. The words he said poked a few memories, but it was curious as why he would remember that and have large chunks missing between it. He shook the thoughts out of his head upon hearing the little guy throw up a exhalation to his god king. He did however remember his brief time spent in Domenance and the talk with the high priestess there. "I bet is a great ruler." He would say turning back to check their trail. "Why don't you head up past the trees and get a look around and see if we have gotten closer too area where this guy you need to find is." Kuna would say.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 08, 2010 12:32 am

“You betcha!” the fairy would confirm at Kuna’s words while they continued. Hearing the request from Kuna, he turns to him with a questioning glance and comments, “eh? Oh. Good idea, okay.” Without thinking anything beyond that, he increases his speed as he moves on up ahead to check out which way his fairy GPS would wish to take him. It wasn’t that Kuna seemed more vulnerable with the departure of the fairy… Paco wouldn’t account to much in the eyes of predators, but the fact that he looked back seemed to escalate the hunters that were hiding about in the foliage. The low growl of hellhounds begins to permeate the atmosphere lightly in the shrubbery about 5 meters or so about Kuna on diagonally flanking sides. Suddenly things are very still and there is no more movement.

Kuna's eyes would immediately hone in on the movement of the bushes and the low growling coming from it. He had attracted the attention of some spirits it looked like, which just brought a smirk too his face for some reason. He wasn't sure how smart these predators would be but he knew the basic routine in which they operated in. Kuna would bring up the rifle and casually point it at one of the shrubbery and fired the gun causing a large boom of sound to echo through the forest, that sudden sound should startle the predators away until they were certain what the hell happened. He wasn't worried about the accuracy of the shot.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 08, 2010 1:18 am

The sound of the gunshot resonates through the forest causing a large number of birds to fly up from the forest around that position. Within the shrubs, the loud stimulus would invoke action on behalf of the predators. Fight or flight had mixed in with the predatory instincts to hunt, kill and maim. Red blurs shift between the opening areas in the bushes and tree bases revealing the opponent to be demonic hell hounds. This pack would include three though their numbers would be hidden in their stealthy movements. The first attack comes as a shifting noise is made in a semi circle about Kuna before the fiendish canine leapt into a clearing at a distance of about ten feet away from Kuna before bounding at him to cover the distance. The intended attack would be of fangs and claws.

He let out a sigh at the beasts appearing like this. He had hoped that the gunshot would have scared off the beasts, but it seemed to have the opposite effect. His attention immediately went too the noise coming from his left. "Earth grant me your protection." Kuna would hastily mutter and cause the earth before him too shoot forward in a nasty array of nasty spikes emerging to skewer the beast, while he pressed his back against that spiked barrier. He brought the rifle up into a firing position and immediately took aim at any of the other beasts that would come out too attack him, would find a bullet placed in the hellhound's head.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 08, 2010 1:33 am

The earth attack is successful as the first beast finds itself stuck within the spikes of earth, critically hit in its underbelly. Not too far behind the first hell hound, the second comes rumbling through the bush in a bee line for Kuna, leaping towards him only to be welcomed with a bullet to its skull. The momentum of the shot redirects the aerial canine back and to the side sending its body twisting about until it slides to a limp halt on the ground. Witnessing the effects of these two beasts, the third flees from the area, sticking low to the ground. For the moment it seemed as if this area was clear for now. There would be no more rustling in the bushes and things would be silent.

"Damn animals, think they would be smart enough to know not to attack a person armed." He would say keeping the rifle ready in case he needed to make a snap shot off at another hound that would come bounding out of the bushes, but it looked like everything was clear. Kuna would look up into the forest canopy. "Paco where the heck are you? It should have just been a simple up and down trip." Kuna would say mostly to himself while waiting for the fairy too come back down. There was just not much to say or do until the fairy arrived.

Paco would come towards Kuna, having heard the sound of gunfire. He reaches the young man about half way in him looking for Paco and comes to a stop in front of him. “What was that noise?” he asks kind of in a rhetorical manner. Dismissing his question just as quickly, he says, “I think I’ve found what I’m looking for! This way, hurry!” With that, he would dash through the forest with a disregard for the trees and shrubs, since he was small enough to get through them with ease. A constant trail of fairy dust trailed behind him, making it easy for him to be followed if he got too far ahead.

Kuna would flick the safety back on and would follow the fairy at a light trot taking the time to mark the path as always. He wasn't going to let himself get lost in the forest because of that fairy. He would eventually catch up to Paco, and there would be a glance around the area before focusing on the path ahead. "Where the heck are we going now?" He asked while trotting along side the fairy. Kuna was hoping to get an answer soon.

The fairy comes to a stop into a clearing in the forest. There, sitting in this shallow portion of the forest, was a man sitting on a rock and smoking a pipe. Paused in his action, Paco floats to the side of Kuna’s head and comments, “I think that is the man that I’m looking for. His name is Hembree. It might be better for me to do all the talking…” He look to Kuna to make sure that was okay with him. To this point, the man either didn’t seem to notice them or didn’t care that they were there.

Kuna would shift the rifle over his shoulder holding it by its strap while regarding the fairy before looking over too the man. He would just give a shrug of his shoulders as he regarded him and the fairy. "You were the one that wanted to find this guy, so I don't really care if you do all the talking or not." Kuna would say simply and he would just find a nearby rock and sit down on it. The walking had left him winded at that point, so he would take the time to catch his breath and wait for Paco to finish up his conversation before moving on.

“Right!” Paco agrees with the young man before turning to look at the NPC. He floats away while Kuna looks for a place to sit down, and eventually comes before the male in monk attire. The monk didn’t seem terrible surprised to see the fairy approach him and didn’t actually turn to look to him until he spoke. There are some words exchanged between the fairy and the monk and then there is a pause. The fairy seems to understand something and then floats back to Kuna to keep him up to date on what was going on. Paco comments, “he has what I’m looking for, but he needs $2000. Give me the money and I will pay you back.”

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 08, 2010 9:51 pm

Kuna wasn't doing much when Paco came back. It sounded like he had found the person, but the thing he asked about put a scowl upon his face. "I don't have that kind of money on me, and you should be paying it for yourself shouldn't you?" He would say looking at the fairy in a more suspicious manner. "I wasn't going to ask this since it was none of my business, but you are wanting to borrow money, my money. Why is it that you need to talk to this guy so badly?" Kuna asked.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 08, 2010 10:21 pm

Paco seemed a little disappointed that Kuna didn’t seem to have the funds. Of course, the fairy was too little to hold any type of currency on him. Paco takes a thinking pose as soon as he heard that there were no funds available. Hearing the last part of what was said, he looks up and comments, “oh… I’ve already talked to him. Now we’re in the negotiation phase. Hembree is a special sort of human, I can’t simply take from him what I want with my many awesome powers, but I came all the way out here trusting that everything would be okay. Hmm… now he seeks tender in order for us to continue.” Almost as if thinking to himself, he continues, “if the mystic scrolls cost 1000 each…” With a sigh, Paco admits, “then there’s no way to continue now unless you can talk him into giving us the mystic scrolls for free. You’re a human, maybe he’ll be better with you!”

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 08, 2010 10:45 pm

Kuna gave a slight nod of his head while regarding Paco's words."All the money I have at the moment is 1,750, so he might be willing too negotiate." Kuna would say cautiously; though, he had no idea what this mystic scroll was supposed to be. He let a sigh escape his lips as he stood up and made his way over too the man. "My fairy companion says you would say two mystic scrolls for a thousand each? I do have 1,750 on me, close enough don't you think to make a good profit on selling these things?" He would cajole hoping that he would agree.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyTue Nov 09, 2010 7:51 pm

This news continues Paco into his thinking posture as he attempted to think things over. “Hmm…” he comments, “so that would leave us with 250 more to get…” He looks up and shrugs at the negotiation as he comments, “I’m not sure, that’s why I said maybe you should…” Paco looks up to notice that Kuna had already moved on and headed towards the monk.

The monk continued to recline on the large rock with one arm rested on a cocked knee, holding his pipe and the other leg outstretched with his free arm resting across his waist. The tilt of his straw hat shifts a bit; he turns a sideways gaze to the young man who approaches him with the compromise. After hearing the question, he would look back forwards and ask, “What profits a man?” He inhales his pipe before giving a lingering exhale just before the rambling begins, “It is difficult to scare people who think they will profit from dying... It is difficult to scare people who think they will profit from dying. Small profits and often, are better than large profits and seldom... PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyTue Nov 09, 2010 8:47 pm

Kuna looked at the man who was quite literally spouting nonsense. A sigh escaped past his lips as he regarded the man for a few moments before saying, "Sorry to be rude, but you are rambling on about nothing. I was asking if you would be willing to negotiate selling two scrolls for 1,750 instead of two thousand, if you can't then just say so." Kuna would say interjecting himself mid-stride in the monk's ramblings, but he didn't want to have to deal with this guy more then he had too. He had a nagging suspicion though that he would be seeing the priest again.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyTue Nov 09, 2010 9:22 pm

The monk pauses when he hears Kuna speak up. He gives a soft smile realizing that he's been rambling. "Sorry," he says looking back forwards for a moment, "I like to talk; not many listen." Gives a light sight and turns to Kuna completely leaning forwards and resting his arms on his knees as he continues and states that, "at 1000 per scroll, it is already a deal of a lifetime. What I'm giving is something of great value. I'm afraid I cannot lower the price. I'm expecting someone who is ready to take what I am offering. Please respect my price. But you do have enough funds for 1 scroll..."

Kuna gave a slight nod of his head as he fished into his pocket and pulled out a mass of bills. He would thumb through the currency before pulling out enough to cover the cost of the scroll. "There you go." He would say giving the money in exchange for the scroll. There Kuna would wait for the scroll to be handed out, but it didn't appear that the monk would do that. "Let me guess, the money I just paid you wasn't for the scroll itself, but the information on where it is?" He asked.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyTue Nov 09, 2010 9:47 pm

The monk sees that he has a deal and reaches out taking the money that was handed to him. He would then place the money within the folds of his garments before looking back to the expectant Kuna. “Thank you,” he would respond after the money was handed over. When Kuna speaks, the monk looks at him oddly and admits, “With a response like that, one would think you a mind reader. Well, it’s fine if you know that much, what you assume is correct.” The monk tells Kuna to venture to the North Western Archipelago at 3S (see map). He explains that there he will find a sage staring out into the endless sea. The monk specifies that Sage is the one from home he will retrieve the scroll. He clarifies, “what you said was a little wrong… when you get the scroll they will be useless to you. The 1000 is for my services once you’ve obtained the scroll. Bring it here and I will make the worthless have worth.”

"I had a good teacher." He would say "But thanks I will bring it back." He would say leaving the monk back to his smoking and contemplation and returned to Paco. "It seems like we are going on a little trip. I guess the money I paid for was the location and services for making this scroll worthwhile, so we have to travel to this particular location (described here). It will take some time to travel, but I can assume you have a faster means of getting us there?" Kuna asked Paco hoping he could get a rid on his dragon/dragonfly form.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyWed Nov 10, 2010 9:24 pm

The monk would give him a kind smile and a nod, acknowledging his words and seeing him off as Kuna moved from him back to the fairy. Paco would be floating idly anticipating Kuna’s return. When he comes back, the small fairy is all ears as he hears that they should be able to continue with only one scroll. Getting the rundown of what they had to do, Paco seems a bit distracted at the fact, “wait, so where’s the scroll, and why did he tell me that we needed two of them?” Answering the question that was given to him, Paco, dismissively nods and assures that if riding him, they could get there in no time. It isn’t for a moment that Paco looks to Kuna and realizes with wide eyes, “wait, you’re a male human! I don’t think I can let you ride on me… I might have to carry you in my mouth or something, because the other way would be unbecoming as an interaction between two women loving males!” There seemed to be an earnest inflection in the fairy’s tone as he voiced this concern.

"The monk doesn't have the scroll, apparently its on this string of islands we have to go too." Kuna would say looking at the fairy for a little bit as he denied the request for a ride over a petty concern over that. "Well, normally that would be quite the concern, but I think we can let this slide this time since any you would have to take me over there anyways since we can't cross the water by boat since I think in that area its a civilian exclusion zone and only for one of the mega-corporations." He would say not knowing if the last part was particularly true, but he did know that the coast was religiously patrolled by the one of the major corps for one odd reason or another.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyFri Nov 12, 2010 9:19 am

“Hmm…” Paco seems to think for a moment. He sighs and decides, “I guess it can’t be helped.” He looks around to make sure he had enough room in the clearing in order to transform. With that, he floats out and into an open space before his body begins to glow, forming into a little glow ball. It rapidly expands, ending with spirit particles bursting and cascading down as his dragonfly dragon form is revealed. The large yokai-type lowers the center of its body to allow Kuna to ride where only Qyn had rode before. In this form, communication would be telepathic as Paco would state, “I think we might have to stop by my kingdom for me to pick up some funds. Since you’re helping me, you should get something to, so I’ll reward you.” With that, he would wait for Kuna to come aboard before pushing off into the skies in a vertically upwards manner, his large insect-like wings batting the air ferociously.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyFri Nov 12, 2010 7:40 pm

Kuna would give a nod and watched the fairy make a simple transition from his smaller form too the dragon one he had first seen at the first time he had met Paco. Kuna heard Paco's voice in his mind, which triggered something akin to a flash of annoyance for him, but he couldn't say why. Kuna would put aside that mental itch for now as he followed Paco's instructions and quickly mounted the dragon. He would hold onto dear life just as soon as the creature lifted off into the air. "Okay, but you don't really need too." Kuna would say just to limit the amount of time he would have to fly.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySat Nov 13, 2010 2:46 pm

After getting to the same altitude as the clouds, there is a spell caste over the dragonfly dragon that enhances its attributes (unwetting rain) as it builds up energy just before shooting out like a rocket towards the East. Another spell would be cast to stop time and after that another spell to restore stamina (Sakura Shower). Kuna’s words would be taken into consideration, but the added travel time wouldn’t be too great at the break neck speeds that Paco would be moving along with the halts in time. This would probably make the ride very confusing for Kuna who would be frozen when time was frozen, so that Paco would seem to make huge leaps over the courses of time that are frozen. In this case, passing over the Metro in a blur, he continues forth to the cove where as he nose dives directly into it causing a great splash before coming up in the past realm and continuing south at a great amount of speed. They would come onto the first detour of Domenance. It would seem almost as no time had passed at all before they would come over the airspace of the Capitol of Domenance with the city below. The dragonfly dragon lowers and comes to land just to the side of the main temple that overlooked the sea’s cliff coast to the east. From there, he would transform back into a fairy, allowing Kuna to free fall for a moment, the few feet to the ground. He would comment, “okay, be right back!” before flying off to pick up something.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySat Nov 13, 2010 7:56 pm

It wasn't a pretty ride from where Kuna was sitting on the back of the beast. The wind made it rather cold to begin with as well and there was the problem of them jumping distances without Kuna having remembered it. He would just have to associate it with something Paco had done and leave it at that. They would soon enough emerge through the portal and into the past realm and a little while later be back in Domenance. There would be the sudden transformation of Paco back into his fairy form, and he would freefall the last few feet. He would just give a nod to the fairy and crouched down to wait for the fairy to return.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 14, 2010 12:17 am

Domenance was as it always is, or has come to be in its building stages. This would actually be the second phase of its building up stage. Area would be ripe with life; workers would be working, children would play running about in groups, some with domesticated animals and people would be talking and socializing with one another. Merchant carts would be moving throughout the village, bringing in items and taking out exports. The tinging sound of black smith hammers could be hear ringing throughout the land; since Domenance was building up an army, wares were being created in anticipation of the numbers that were expected. It had become a small village and now it was growing into something perhaps greater. By now the capitol city had its stone wall erected about it fully as a semi circle with the see cliffs behind it.

It was rumored that the Lord of Domenance had a dragon; not many knew about the ability of Paco to morph between a dragon and fairy. Paco himself, however, was a prominent figure, since he was considered a Lord and General of Domenance. He led the corps of fairy fighters, which in themselves were a force to be reckoned with.

There was still a good amount of light in the day, which meant that the workers of the capitol were hard at work. With the arrival of Paco in the sky, Hakim would look up and take notice of the fairy’s dragon form while standing on the roof of an unfinished building. For that moment, his gaze would shift towards the Temple of Domenance as he would wonder what type of business brought the fairy back into the city. The master carpenter’s attention would be drawn by one of the men working with him.

In his journey, Paco would go within the subterranean sea side manor and proceed to the secret location where he stashed his capital. His size did make a difference, however, so he found himself toting along a small pouch of coins, which in themselves would much almost the same size as his body. On his return, he would drift at chest level before Kuna and ask for him to take the coins from him, since it would be impossible for him to carry them and fly them both at the same time. The pounce contained 2000 Shinny in past realm coinage. If Kuna would take the purse then Paco would be able to morph back into the dragonfly dragon whereas Kuna could mount him once more for the trip back to the future realm.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 14, 2010 12:31 am

Kuna would keep himself down in a crouched position and would look casually around. He wasn't drawing any attention to himself, which was good, since a confrontation could turn quite deadly. He would give a little yawn. "Should get some sleep after this is all over with." He would say as Paco came back out bearing a little bag nearly the same size as the fairy. Kuna would take the proffered money and secure it too his belt before stepping back and allowing Paco to transform once again. He would then remount the dragon and let him take him back too the future realm.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 14, 2010 1:07 am

Paco waits for Kuna to get situated again before the second round of the spell casting loop would begin. First the unwetting rains would be cascaded onto Paco’s form; if a bit of the spell got onto Kuna, he would feel a slight attribute increase (+1) as well. After that, time would freeze, the 25 foot long dragonfly dragon would take to the air and then rocket towards the cove replenishing its stamina magically while freezing time between the intervals it takes to recharge. Another large splash would occur within the cove, and in coming out of it, Paco would arrive back into the future realm.

Once securely in the skies of the future realm, Paco would ascend to the height of the clouds. Light and fluffy would litter about him as he leveled out to a cruising altitude, slowing a bit in his immense speed. Soaring over Yochi almost like a airplane, the lay of the land would be visible very far below with the ocean and sea side boundaries in plain view as if looking down at a terrain map. Paco wouldn’t remember off hand the area that they were supposed to go, so mentally he would inquire on the destination once more. It didn’t seem like the actual landing location was far, since it was visible from that height. Kuna would be easily able to point it out if he remembered Hembree’s words and directions.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptySun Nov 14, 2010 1:24 am

Kuna would mostly keep himself hunkered down and brace himself against the whipping wind and the cold air that moved against him. The cold seemed to reduce a little bit once he felt whatever spell Paco had cast on him begin to take effect. He probably should have asked Paco if he could have gotten some warmer clothing for the return trip, but it was pretty much to late now. They would come back into the Future realm shortly enough, and he was looking down to see where they were. Kuna would point out the string of islands that Hembree had earlier pointed out too them, so that they could finally reach the place that they needed too.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 15, 2010 12:02 am

Paco navigates through the wispy white clouds and lowers in his altitude a bit so that he would be beneath the sky’s ceiling as they neared the location they would need to land. On clarification of the area via Kuna, Paco would respond with an affirmation before causing his body to rapidly lower in altitude to the effect of dropping several hundred feet in a matter of seconds in the decline. The drop should cause wondrous effects in the stomachs of the young man aboard, much like being on a roller coaster that had gone from floating along to a sudden drop. The g forces would continue to build as Paco would continue his way towards the

North Western Archipelago with the ground rushing up at a frightening speed. The insect like wings would beat fiercely as the drop in altitude is slowed and the large scaled dragonfly’s body tilts up as its ‘legs’ prepare to touch the ground with the landing. After a landing, there would be a puff of radiant light whereas Paco would return to his normal form, allowing Kuna to free fall and land from the elevated position of his back. Floating about while trailing fairy dust, Paco would take a moment for himself in order to catch his breath while looking around the area.

At the end of the archipelago there was a male in a green cloak sitting on a small rock, large enough to elevate him a foot or two from the ground with a walking cane sitting to the side of it, resting against the rock passively. The figure on the rock was not looking towards them, but staring out into the endless sea. The elder there, a stout aged man of bald head with a silver braided beard, had large prayer beads wrapped about his shoulder and torso like a sash. He did not seem to notice the arrival of the two, or at least did not acknowledge them.

Kuna prayed to whatever god there was watching over them as they made a rapid plunge in altitude and landed on the archipelago. He would land on his feet as Paco converted himself back into his fairy form and seemed a little bit winded. He figured that was from the trip and all the spells he had cast, which he was feeling the effect of one still in particular. His eyes would immediately zone in on the other person with them and make a small gesture too Paco. There would walk up and approach the man and say. "Hello, I got information from a priest named Hembree that there was a mystic scroll here, would you help me find it?" He asked cordially.

PostSubject: Re: Hembree's quest (1&2)   Hembree's quest (1&2) EmptyMon Nov 15, 2010 8:18 pm

Hanging back a moment, Paco looks up to notice the motion from Kuna and he nods and motions for Kuna to continue on; he would catch up with him in a minute since it wasn’t like the human would be moving outside of visual range. From there, the focus leaves the fairy and shifts to the elder sitting upon the rock, overlooking the vast and endless seas. As Kuna speaks to this figure, he would not shift to turn towards him, nor show any outward signs to acknowledge the young man’s presence. Instead the senior monk would lift a hand to its chin and rub along the braided hair, stroking down in an unhurried fashion.

A soft saline zephyr would drift inward the shore from the genesis of the outlying marine surface shifting the garments of the aged male. On closer observation of the glassy orbs housed within the frame of his face, his unblinking gaze would suggest that perhaps the male was in an abstraction of some type, entranced by some deep meditation perhaps. Traces of salt and sand would be set within his jade garments, hints to his sedentary position at this spot. His corporeal location seemed fixed.

Kuna just gave a sigh, why did people choose not too answer simple questions, and instead they chose to act mysteriously. "Okay, I guess you like too act all mysteriously." Kuna would say giving another sigh. "But could you stop with the act and give me some information on where this scroll is?" He would ask again though he expected the monk to pull the same mystery act as before. Kuna would probably have to ask Paco to talk too the monk too see if he would respond or not too the Yokai's presence.

Hembree's quest (1&2) Empty

As Kuna persisted, the elder eventually showed movement. The ground rumbled a bit with no cause of explanation. On closer observation of the elder’s skin, at least what was visible, it did not appear very skin like, but more of a stony texture. Life seems to return to the elders eyes as his ancient mouth moves to inquire, “so you seek the scroll, do you?” The rumbling may have been his power, but it intensifies as the elder stands up, his body growing in much larger proportions to what it was with his body becoming more and more stone like. “Then defeat me,” is his ultimatum as he turns to face Kuna, towering four stories above him. The elder slams his foot into the ground causing the soft sands there to cave in; the waters from the sea would start to fill in, creating a type of quick sand beneath Kuna’s feet rendering the soil there useless for footing. Solid ground would be about ten yards inwards towards the mainland. The ground bursts as a large blade comes up from beneath it, raping the terrain more as water washed over it. It Kuna was not careful, he would be washed into the sea. The elder’s large right hand comes to the sword and grips it, then lifts it up high in anticipation on slamming it down on Kuna’s position.
