| Stumbling Across a Penny I
Paco, servant of Domenance, had traveled to Artilia where he came across the one he was seeking, Sanzon, and another Kami based spirit. After words with the spirits, he finds himself able to coax them into following him on the vague demand for assistance from his master. From their location in Artilia, the other Kami known as Izuya, showcases his ability to teleport and the trio are whisked away to Onitoshi.
Paco makes haste to enter into the light before it fades away thinking that without his guidance, those traveling for his master’s sake wouldn’t know where to begin in searching for him. The light of the portal fades leaving no traces of the three remaining at the beach. Izuya comes to step out of the portal behind Sanzon, and Paco flies out, his fairy wings beating rapidly as he is third out. The void shroud folds and the thick atmosphere of Onitoshi permeates from all sides. The tinted terrain of dark crimson and dark burnt brimstone line the ceiling and floor with the tattered dark metropolis set a few dozen yards away. Setting himself to follow behind Sanzon, Izuya inquires, “which way, honey?” Paco is quick to answer forth, “we must head to Solvay, from there the way should reveal itself to us!” Regardless of what was said, Izuya would follow in whichever direction Sanzon would begin leading.

Careful? There was no need for caution right now. While I would normally aire on the lighter side of things, this was business that must be quickly attended to. Any demon, lower or higher order, that got in my way would be dealt with as swiftly as possible. The thought of mentally returning to the way I used to be, long ago in the heavens, slightly disturbed me. Regardless, I knew it was a possiblilty that I would have to face if confronted down here. Domen wasn't here, and being with another kami may be disadvantageous for us. It wouldn't take look for the forests of Solvay to greet us. The expanses were something I had never seen before, and that bothered me.
"Paco, where is he."

| | Rat tat tat tat……rat tat tat tat…..rat tatatatat…. Swimming. He’d always a likened it to swimming. Or at least his memory of the action. In truth Pennywise couldn’t really remember the last time he had swum anywhere. He had sunk certainly. In that lovely little fountain in Gothstone. And during that one little trip to the past realm with Shiori. Dunked in water, but never water he’d had to swim in. And there wasn’t really much of a choice of swimming pools here in Onitoshi. Perhaps he’d have to fix that, at least for Gera’Sey. After all. He liked water. Liked the rain. Wearing the mask. It was like being plunged into deep water. Cold as ice, dark as the abyss. Like he had fallen off the boat that was his sanity and had landed in the stormy waters of his own subconscious. Controlling the mask was semi impossible at first. But with training ( training he couldn’t afford to do around Shiori) he had began to become a stronger “ swimmer” so to speak. The madness was now less of an ocean and more a river. A river with a raging current at that. But it no longer seemed so endless. No longer seemed so dangerous. But perhaps that in itself was a trap. And something to be wary of. Despite having facilities for this sort of thing in Gera’Sey. For the most part when training the mask or his powers. The forests of Solvay were a favourite place. Particularly hidden within its depths. The Hogasha training location. The crystal forests of Vinticus. It was safer. And faster. The mask was on him at this point, the voice behind the mirror. The madness in the box. The source of the library within his head. ( Or was it?). Chuckling away, a madman in full flow. Sitting down by a tree, his shirt on one of the branches. Placed there before he started his training regiment with the mask. Removing it was….still difficult for him. However the difficulty was no longer a case of the voice fighting him. It was more in himself when he wore it. The strength. The freedom that insanity provided him. Pennywise was beginning to like it more and more. Perhaps an increased side effect of the more time he had spent in the dense dark environment that was Onitoshi. Or perhaps on the converse side. It was more an effect of his own self returning with so much time spent away from humanity. And its ambassador. But that was precisely why he had to remove it. His promise. Difficult as it was. He removed the mask. The texture of it like bone. He crushed in his hand, the mask shattering under the touch. Formation of it was simple…just a case of focusing his madness once again. Such a thing could not be so easily destroyed. Penny made his way over to the tree branch, grabbing his shirt and placing both arms within the white sleeves, then removing the packet of cigarettes from the breast pocket. He placed one in his mouth and, lit up. Taking a draw and blowing out the smoke. A bit of relaxation before heading back to the stresses of his rule. But, it was something that he couldn't really indulge in for too long. He walked and smoked, heading back the regular route through the forest. Unchallenged. At least for today anyways. He made his way out of the forests entrance and flicked the cigarette to the side. Looking over at Gera'sey. A brief sigh and a scratch on the head. Wondering just how his Lady of Pleasures was getting on with the Eastern district. He began to walk down back towards his land, the walk was enough for a break. Word Count: 630 Total Word Count: 630 . |

Paco would grin a bit at the question as it would seem the Kami had finally come to his senses and realized that he needed him. Of course, the fairy would look way too far into the simple statement made by Sanzon, thus creating the joy in his heart when the question was uttered. Paco opens his mouth to give the answer and the details to why they were here, but before that, something occurred in both Paco and Izuya that told them that danger was coming.
With that warning, fate would line things up. Flying near the forests of Solvay, the two Kamis and Yokai would not be directly above the slightly sane walking Oni, but they would be in a close enough proximity for the events that were to affect them to affect him as well. As unluck would have it, the presents of two slightly tinted spiritual entities, known as Kami’s, would not go unnoticed. Having sensed the spirits while being sensed themselves, they managed to prepare a bit of an ambush for them. As such, a spiritual signature could be felt diagonally above the trio from a distance of about fifty feet or so, as a chameleons looking demon in a hybrid humanoid form hid meshed in with the ceiling of burnt brimstone in the background. A substantially large barrage of fire orbs ranging in the dozens with each trailing orb about the size of a van, descends from above towards the traveling trio. Moments before impact, Izuya would comment, “company” before invoking a spell that shifted his body into a pocket realm of intangibility. Also noticing it, a murmuring would caste an invisible barrier around the fair and Sanzon would be forced to fend for himself. The fire orbs that did not come into contact with a body, or the overspray, would continue towards the ground, landing with explosive consequences if not intercepted. These explosions would ultimately occur less than 50 yards from Penny’s walking trail to the east.

As per the usual trip to the underworld, everything would be going well until some asshole decided to get involevd, and that usually meant not only combat, but that some dumbass was about to be turned to dust. The fair warning from the other spirit would give me ample time to exert a quick thrust of energy from my body. It wasn't enough to destroy the balls, but it would be enough with my horizontally shifting body to divert them from their pathway towards me. The exert would, unfortunately, also push the other two away from me as well. It would have been nice to have my other counterpart here to take care of the fire, but he was busy enjoying the luxuries of showers, hot tea, and mechanical vehicles right now. Quickly taking to the offensive, my full body attention would snap forward towards the direction these bright red lights emerged from before waiting on the others.

Paco would find himself displaced by the energy that pushed away from the lightning tiger. Being intangible, Izuya wouldn’t be affected as he would remain watching the events unfold with seemingly no interest in actually doing anything. Still, after blocking a few of the pushed off attacks, Paco is able to lower his shields and pinpoint the attacker who made the first assault as he warns, “diagonally and above.” Though he was pointing out baddies, he wasn’t actually engaging any at the moment.
The red chameleon like demon from above notes the exertion of strength from Sanzon and begins to gather fire energy around his body in preparation for an offensive. The energy builds up much like a large flaming ball with him as the center. This would be a distraction from his cohort who was setting up an ambush attack from below. Targeting Sanzon as the strongest at the moment, they would single him out and then attempt to figure out how to hurt the other Kami.
Bursting from the ground, the second demon, a monstrously humanoid onyx creature with a mouth in its belly fit with teeth and a tongue with a normal head like a devil with a single horn. About twice the size of Sanzon, he would match the Kami’s unenhanced speed in his ascension. The attack would come in the form of a sticky wad that was created in the palm of the demon and projected forth in a manner that caused it to grown over distance in an effort to ‘net’ Sanzon.
Sensing around the general area, Paco would pick up that demon about the time of his attack as well as other spiritual signatures in the area, including the Mad Oni’s. With the possibility of being outnumbered without the home court advantage, he decides to let Sanzon handle this for now while he came up with a strategy.

The others were far too close for me to use the lightning blast here. The only option I really had was to do something that had never been sued by me in combat before. With my eyes look at the large creature bathed in fire above, I would give him my full attention. It was a difficult choice to make, but after all, the little spirit said he was more than capable of taking care of himself. On the other hand, if something happened and Domen found out it was due to my lack of forethought, I might have a bigger problem to deal with. My muscles would tighten while my spiritual energy was enhanced. "May death becomes the path before you..." opening my eyes, everything would be grey. The entire world around me had stopped, and I looked at it. Below me, a strange attack was closing in. Above me, there was a demon bathed in flames. First thing was first. Moving up and around the net, I would look at the other two spirits, who were also negated from the ability I had used. How interesting this was, and how much easier things could be while we had time on our side. The large rock looking demon seemed like he would be more of an issue, but I had a lot of experience fighting against Jaine, who was a fire user. My fists could punch through those flames without much of an issue. After all, burns were nothing new to me. We had a few minutes to blow here, and if we wanted, we could even continue on without fighting at all. However, I wanted to personally make sure that those who were here remembered the Lightning Tiger.
With time Frozen, my body would flip to the side, hanging directly beside the head of the large, one horned demon. Looking at the others, I would wait for them to figure out what they wanted to do. My plan was simple, a bitch smack from the heavens.

It had worked successfully, and without much issue. Time had been frozen across the entire area, and only the three of us could move. With my location comfortable, I looked across the demon, taking into account the giant mouth stomach thing, and how ugly of a creature he was. Drawing my arm backwards, my waist would twist slightly. This was not a technique I would want to use lightly, but I also didn't want to waste time here in any way. A light twinge would move across my upper body as muscles tightened, and energy coarsed along the bone line towards my fist. Exhaling with a deep pressured outburst, the arm would fly forward, as time returning, and my fist indented itself into the side of the one horned demons head. The outburst of pressure would probably not feel all that great to him, but to me, the feeling made me rather happy. The attack would not be subtle or discrete. While it may have been more efficient to paralyze the demon first, I wanted to get a point across. He made a poor life decision today.

Rat tat tat tat……rat tat tat tat…..rat tatatatat…. Pennywise couldn’t help but feel that he was missing something. It was almost as if the tape had jumped on his life. One moment one of the figures above was at one place. Next thing he knew it he was at another, And coming down towards him at great speed was another demon, apparently a gift from the man above. He was faced with three options, risk that the demon wasn’t coming down fast enough and hard enough to damage him. Intercept the strike or move out of its way. There was little time for judgement. And even less time for a reaction from him. Before he knew it the demon had landed, shaking the ground causing him to stumble back and cough as the dust it kicked up flew into his face. As the dust began to clear he looked back up into the sky, noticing that the company of the fighter was now looking in his direction. He tapped his chin and reached out with his mind, at the same time taking off from the ground and moving in their direction. Ensuring that for all intents and purposes his body language was passive. He’d stop some distance from them. Roughly 35 feet. And look on at Sanzon and the giant ball of fire now moving towards him. Using his mind he would attempt to speak with Paco and Izuya. “ You know, a man can never go for a walk in this damned place without being thrown into a fight of epic proportions”. He rubbed the bridge of his nose and looked over. “ Oh and just so we make this clear, I’m not with the other Oni who attacked you….I for one have standards….Random encounters…aren’t my thing….Suppose I should offer you my aid however…”. He raised an eyebrow. One yellow eye shifting over to Sanzon. “ Looks like your friend there has the situation covered”. Removing a cigarette pack from his pocket he removed one with his teeth then, replacing the pack with a lighter, lit it up. He wasn’t going to attack them, but…he wasn’t quite going to let his guard down either. Word Count: 357 Total Word Count: 987 Techniques Used: Televocals |

the feeling of bone crunching across smooth knuckles was one that brought satisfaction to me. Looking towards the ground, and the nicely sized crater that had been made at the other spirit's expense, my eyes would catch sight of another being. Not wanting to waste time, the giant ball of burning red light would quickly grab my attention. It was enough of a size where I could dodge it.. if I wanted to. "enlightenment...Inside my right hand, a spark would emerge, caused by the tightening of fingers into a fist. Taking a deep breath, I would use the balance of air to store the electricity in my chest. Even in the air, my body would shift weight, sliding directly around. "of thunder and lightning.." With the ball of fire nearly upon my, my right arm would extend in a straight manner, directly towards the center of it. The deep breath would result in a quick exhale as my hand opened towards the fireball. "symphony."
The result would be a flash of blue and white light before a bolt of pure lightning emerged, screaming through the fireball. The fire would be split, resulting in a single strike of lightning that would careen towards the other demon.

Penny is not confronted with hostility from either of the fairies on his way towards them. Paco had much of his offensive based attention on the entities that were attacking, and Penny did not seem to be one of them. Still, the fairy would be wary of the approach of the newcomer with his shield recast and his protons guns on stun, or at least stand by. On the other hand, Izuya didn’t look like he would be getting involved in anything if such a thing were to occur; he didn’t seem worried in the least about Penny arrive, moreso, the approaching chaotic spirit held his interest. Reading his surface thoughts, Izuya was able to understand that they were in no immediate danger as of yet; it seemed conversation was to come with the show or entertainment that was going on. From Izuya, Penny is greeted with a coy smile while on Paco’s a sideways look of question. Being the more sociable of the two, Izuya counters the comment, “I hear the property values down here are murder as well.”
The assurance that he wasn’t with the others, Izuya nods and comments, “well, we can see that by your attire. You’d either be their boss, or someone much classier.” With his gaze shifting to Sanzon, Izuya nods and agrees, “yes, he’s big on proving points. Right now he wants them to understand they messed with the wrong demon. He should be done in a moment.”
With Sanzon, the lightning attack would break through the center of the large fire ball , dispersing the attack and striking its user in the chest. He would ‘ride the lightning’ to the wall that was behind him, and on contact with it, his chameleon like skin would disengage, turning a slate gray before his body would free fall down; a feint to being unconscious while he would plan his next move. Below, the demon who had created the crater began to shift ever so slightly, but in much pain.

Rat tat tat tat……rat tat tat tat…..rat tatatatat…. "Oh I'm a boss, just not of these unsightly fellows...". It seemed that, his peaceful approach to these people had worked, or at least was currently working. So he moved from telekenetic speach to actual vocalisations. He took another draw of his cigarette. The orange amber light on the end burning brightly as he drew in. Breathing out the smoke as he watching the lightning tiger unleash his next attack on the fireball of the demon. One thing however did catch the corner of his eye. The demon down below was stirring, even if it was just ever so slightly. Seemed that blow to the head and subsequent crash to the ground wasn't enough to kill him. Tough fellow. Ugly as sin. But tough. Whether this demon would recover or not from the previous attack was debatable. However his status as currently still breathing ( although perhaps with somewhat difficulty) was enough of a problem to ending this little dramatic conflict. Penny's eyes shifted over to Paco and Izuya. Putting on a western cowboy accent for...comedic effect. He gestured over at the demon on the ground. " Well boys...looks like we got ourselves a twitcher". Raising up his hand he pointed the two fingers that held his cigarette at the ground the demon laid upon. This situation called for a little of his personal favourite. Shadow magic. It was cold. Cruel. And utterly merciless. " Blackest night, blackest soul....". A pool of shadows began to spread out from the ground the demon laid upon, growing wider and wider in area. Eventually the area it covered was enough to cover the ground of a warehouse. "...Rip...tear...slice...". He raised up that hand. and shadows began to rise up from the pool of darkness that his spell had summoned. The whisping shadows would rise up like caught in a strong tropical wind, cutting and slicing anything that dared to get in their way. Which just so happened to include the demon caught in the epicentre. Word Count: 349 Total Word Count: 1346 Techniques Used:Shadowa( Mastered) |

| | All I would hear is "twitcher" before my eyes moved to the ground. Looking back up for a moment, the fire would spread in a circular manner around the lightning bolt before it struck its target, leaving me satisfied for the moment. The two enemies were, to me, defeated. It would be completely dishonorable for either of them to attempt to fight further. They had been put down, and spared. The one on the ground, may not have been spared, but that was not at my fault or reason. Digging my hands into my pockets, I would float over to greet the new spirit, which was, to my surprise, a spirit that I still had a beef with for something that I didn't really even remember. I just knew that there was some run in a while back that we had, and that left a nasty taste in my mouth. To be honest, I didn't even remember his name, if I knew it at all; which I may not have. i had heard the comment from Paco, and intended to correct him on his vocabulary...
"Actually, that's Angel.. not Demon.. Don't lump me in with your master. I really don't understand why people can't tell us apart, ya know? Even the humans call all of us demons. If they believe in one, shouldn't they believe in the other? Man they really piss me off sometimes.."
I would ramble for a moment before getting back to the point. Why were we down here, and where was domen. Yea, that was why we came all the way down here. Guess something had happened and he needed a hand or something. If he was jsut carrying grociers back to the portal I was going to be pissed.
"Now.. about Domen."

The explanation is well received and attention is brought to the ground for one of the demon’s demise. Upon falling and seeing this, the other chameleon demon decides it best not to belabor the point of battle anymore and he guided himself down to the ground. He knew his cohort would need some help, if he was even still alive. After witnessing Penny’s attack, Izuya giggles, “not bad, ‘boss’” in reference to the attack and his gaze shifts to Sanzon as the Kami makes his way back towards the group. As Paco is corrected, he informs, “you will never be categorized with my master, don’t you worry!” There is a chuckle from Izuya, but Sanzon seemed more interested in where they would be going from here, so reading the atmosphere, Paco clears his throat and nods, “that’s right.” He looks to Penny and orders, “since you live here, we need for you to give us Ambrosia. My master requires it for a mid night snack.” Yes. In that moment it is revealed that they had come all the way to hell to pick up some Ambrosia; the item that Domen and Sanzon had received when they had first come to hell. Paco states this with a straight face as if this mission were about the utmost importance.

Rat tat tat tat……rat tat tat tat…..rat tatatatat…. He flipped around the cigarette in his mouth as the spell ended. Not bothering to see what was left of the demon, if anything. The other seemed to have more brains about him than Penny had originally assumed and took leave of the area. It was at this point he'd come close enough to the other spirit. The fighter, to actually see his face. For a slight second his grin faltered. But only for that short second. Following this his eyes closed and the grin returned, hearing the words from Izuya. In truth Pennywise didn't remember much about his previous encounter with this man. Most of the memories about that night had been drowned out in rather lethal quantities of alcohol. And he'd blacked out before the party had really even started. Considering his alcohol fueled amnesia of the whole incident, he would pass it off for now. Merely listening to what this group had to say for themselves. The blonde one corrected the little guy on his current racial status. Not demon but angel. Complaining about how no one believed in angels. But everyone believed in demons. The answer was, to him. Quite obvious. " I do say, its much like the news old chap...". He took another draw of his cigarette, casually blowing out the smoke. ".....The only good news is...bad news...People never want to hear about the good in the world....unless someones been murdered, raped or otherwise brutally mistreated...nobody gives a rats ass....". He lightly shifted the cigarette in his mouth and chuckled. " And considering how thats just the start of the weekend for most of my kind.....it only makes sense people would have this line of thought...". It was then the other spoke up. Something about him living here and providing Ambrosia for them. " Live here?....hardly...I tend to frequent between here and the human world quite a lot....you could call me somewhat of a dimensional vagabond...as for Ambrosia...well...Two issues with that old boy...". Removing the cigarette from his mouth he tossed it to the ground below. " One...there would be no giving involved.....and two....unfortunatly I don't currently have any of that stuff....Although I'm sure you could buy it somewhere around here...Probably some in Arden or...". The smirk on his face twitching lightly. " Gera'Sey". Word Count: 380 Total Word Count: 1726 Techniques Used: |

| | Yea yea, he had a point. The humans thrived on the negativity of their world. Looking out across the vast foerst, I brought my eyes to the horizon, where the city was. I knew of Arden, and of new Arden. I tried to remember where Domen and I had gone when we were down here. I was pretty sure it had been Arden. either way, I had made myself openly available and obviously a spirit, so going back there wasn;t really on my to-do list right now. When the words "ambrosia" hit my ears, it made me want to electrocute the little bugger. I had ambrosia back in the village and could have avoided this entire thing.
"He used all of his ambrosia already? What a shame, I still have most of mine from our last trip. I guess this was a grocery trip for him after all."
I was rather disappointed. I was hoping there would be an actual objective down here, not just running an errand for another political figure. I was not an errand boy, I was the ruler of a civilization, just as he was. For him to involve me in something so petty was rather insulting, and there would be words between us later, if he got any of it. I may as well resupply my stash of Ambrosia while I am down here, especially if I will be making personal trips to other major cities for expansion of our current trade routes.

Paco folds his arms as he listens to Penny speak. At first his anger is riled at the fact that this demon didn’t have any ambrosia on him. To the fairy, it would make sense for all demons in Onitoshi to carry vast amounts of the product on their personage at all times. Still, Paco would forgive this transgression as the demon at least seemed jovial and helpful in the arena of finding some. Since he didn’t know much about Onitoshi and its lesser cities, the name Gera’sey wouldn’t seem familiar to him.
Turning to Sanzon, Paco correct, “Actually he hasn’t used much of it. He just mentioned that it was tasty. Since there’s very few things the Lord actually enjoys eating, I took it upon myself to make sure he has a surplus of the stuff. Hopefully it will be a good surprise for him when we get back! Don’t worry, I’ll let him know that you helped in the process. I didn’t know Onitoshi, so that’s why I needed you.” By this time, Izuya would almost be in a fit of giggles having read well into what actually was happening. He considered those around him interesting and amusing individuals.
Returning his attention back to Penny, Paco inquires, “can you take us to this Gera’say of which you speak? Is it a large city?”

| | Rat tat tat tat……rat tat tat tat…..rat tatatatat…. " Well Gera'Sey is more what I would call a work in progress...". Having to explain his own city was going to be rather akward at this point and he didn't really want to mention to them that he was the ruler of this particular place in case they got te bright idea that a hiostage situation was in the works. Not at least until he got into Gera'Sey itself. Then revealing who and what he was would be a much safer job under the watching eyes of Grimm and his own soldiers. " The main town itself seems to be quite bustling, However several outlaying sectors of the city are still under construction...expansion work if you will...for the most part the city appears to be a trade hub of sorts...neutral ground betwee merchants and other companies...". He removed another cigarette from the packet and placed it in his mouth. " Which is mostly why I think you'd find it there...that and its closer to here than Arden...just on the western edge of Solvay". Penny was, at least for now. All for promoting trade and getting new customers for the merchants in Gera'Sey. He had originally set the place up as a low tax solution for corperations and businesses to expand into the terriroties of Onitoshi from even the human world. Probably the one place in Oni Toshi were you wen't likely to get mugged, or have an attempt made on your life. Laws were harsh concerning fighting. And the guards ruthless at carrying it out. That and GRIrimm the dragon shaped guardian of the city was more than happy to eat his fill of rough housers. " In fact I was actually heading there myself before this little incident occured...so I'd be happy to show you the way". Word Count: 299 Total Word Count: 2025 . |

Through his thoughts, Izuya and Paco find that he, much like Sanzon, was a land and minion owner. Of course, they have no intentions of speaking on the manner since neither wanted to telegraph their abilities; Sanzon would be left in the dark for this one. They listen to the description of the city, village, or area as it described before the invite is given to lead the way. Since Sanzon seemed amiable to the idea, Paco would speak with a confident nod and accept, “lead the way, friend!” Since Penny was being helpful, the fairy would be in high spirits and social, a contrast to how he responded to Sanzon at most times. Izuya would have no reason not to continue to follow along with the troupe, so he would be on board with the journey to Gerasay.
