Adrian turned the bike's engine off, frowning as he sat there on the seat for a moment. That demon summoner had taken his wallet. She hadn't gotten much but he had found out that night she had the only picture of his family he had. And that only forced him to move up his plans to get stronger. Climbing off his bike he headed to the open area in front of him. The clearing was known to his heart, and was something he would never forget. He had to make this work. If he didn't get stronger he could never beat that demon. The woman he was sure he could take out, but to get to her he had to go through her little pet. Even caught by surprise he could still only do so much. He had to step up his training and push his limits. And here was the place to do it.

He grabbed the edge of the jacket, sliding his arm out of the sleeve. He frowned before he turned, his hand throwing the cloth aside. He drew his left hand back, his fingers curling in as he willed the Devil's Teardrop forth. He stepped forward, his blade arching around, in a swift whirl as he spun with it. before he brought it over his head. He knew full well how to make people underestimate him. And the next time he met with the girl he would do it. Usually right handed he often used his sword left handed with his friends. Except Satsu, he couldn't hold back with that one.

He brought the blade back and then around in a diagonal slash, imagining cutting his opponent from waist to shoulder. As it came up over his shoulder he spun, kicking out with his right leg before he brought the blade down in another diagonal slash but the other direction making a large X in his imaginary opponent. He wasn't nearly ready to take on the real thing. He'd have to hope and pray he would be able to master the spiritual arts he'd begun the path on. He sighed as he came to a stop before he looked around. He'd found demons in these woods before. But every time it had been at night. He was hoping that he'd find something he could fight here. But nothing was coming, at least nothing he could see.

A harsh wind pushes through the woods and the sky overhead darkens in the image of the night. The full moon of the night lingers in the middle of the sky casting down a dull glow to the woods beneath them. In the distance of the training area where Adrian is, the sound of a howl cuts through the air. There is movement in the foliage of the woods, but nothing readily visible.

Adrian turned into the wind, frowning as he glanced up at the full moon overhead. The woods were far more evil looking due to the shadows within. The howl, however, turned his blood to ice water. His face went pale as he heard it growing closer. He drew the Devil's Teardrop back, his eyes constantly scanning the clearing. He moved to stand in the rough center, drawing a light circle in the ground with his sword he breathed slowly, taking slow, deep breaths.

Let's see. Okay you've seen enough movies. You know this is a wolf of some kind. Let's see here... Calculate distance and time between the noises. It's moving fast but I can still follow it. Let's see... Unless it comes in from above me, I'll see it come into the kill zone. DAMN I wish I had silver bullets right now.

The sound of the rustling continues seemingly coming from all directions in the cover of the brush. Suddenly to the left of the swordsmen, there is a burst from the bushes as a large shadow forms on the ground and shrinks in side. Above him, a possessed human known as a Woylf, descends towards him. Before it lands, it pulls back like a bowstring before it’s body snaps forwards sending a powerful howl that pushes a Strong amount of force energy at Adrian’s position. If he were to move out of the way, the force of the howl would slightly impact the ground as if punched by a large fist.

I FUCKING KNEW IT!!! MOVE!

He was frozen in place for a moment before leaping forward, avoiding most of the attack. Instead of being hammered into the ground he was thrown forward literally coming up off his feet. He hit the ground in a roll, his blade coming around as he came to his feet. He wasn't very accurate with thrown weapons but he had to try. He threw the black bladed weapon at the large Woylf before he charged forward, willing the blade back to him at the last second. If the creature had gone for a block it would be sorly mistaken when he brought his blade around toward it's midsection.

The beast only utilizes one hand to swat away the thrown weapon. The full moon had given him Superhuman Endurance that resisted cutting and piercing penetration, so had the throws weapon’s bladed edge struck him, it may not have hurt too badly. But instead of striking him, the blade vanishes due to the skill of the swordsman. Ultimately, the swat away was a part of a two-piece swipe whereas the other hand would be second to come around to swat at Adrian. The large hand would aim to swipe across Adrian’s head and upper body around the same time the blade comes in contact with its midsection.

Adrian cried out in pain as he was struck, literally thrown up and away from the beast. He hit the ground lightly in a roll. He lay there panting before he got up. His sword wasn't in hand. He'd felt the blow connect but the Woylf had dealt a decent blow as well. He panted lightly as he got to his feet, blood running from the corner of his mouth.

"What the fuck are you? No way are you the demon from before." he muttered, standing there.

He willed the blade back to his hand as he set his jaw, watching the creature in front of him, waiting for the moment to strike. He had to be very careful if he intended to win here. A simple flat out aggressive attack wouldn't be a good idea. He had to fight defensively this time.

The beast looks down at the sword stuck in its side. It looks up at the male he flung away with ease and roars into the air once again before it’s powerful hind legs lift it into the air, pouncing towards the fallen swordsman around the time the sword dislodges from its gut. It would not let up on Adrian or give him time to catch its breathe as it wanted to eat him. Hopefully Adrian would not be on the opposing side of the pounce, or the beast would attempt to gnash a chunk out of his shoulder on landing.

Adrian grinned, his eyes narrowing. The beast did exactly what he had wanted. Creatures without the ability to fly were very limited in motion in the air. And they could only move so fast. He lept back, putting himself just in front of where it would land. His tactics in swordsmanship had changed ever since he'd mastered the ability to summon his blade. He willed the blade to his hand, before thrusting out toward the beast, aiming right for it's throat. If he was going to be dinner, he wasn't going to go down easy.

"Sorry little bitch! But I'm NOT ON THE MENU!!!" he declared as he attacked.

The beast lands to the side of Adrian. The pounce was redirected by the thrust for the throat and all indications would appear as if the thrust had hit its mark. The beasts face is hidden as it is almost in a bowing motion to the side. Suddenly, it lifts up to display the blade in its mouth, the corners of its mouth bleeding from where the blade cut dangerously deep. The beast looked very unhappy to say the least that its dinner decided to put up such a fight.

"Back off if you want to live buddy! You might eventually overpower me. But I'm gonna make you suffer for every single attack! You may have my sword now, but you can't be stupid enough to think I wont get it back. TWICE I have taken it to my hand from nowhere near. If you don't want to suffer you'll BACK DOWN NOW! Do it and I might feed you!" he said, almost trying to reason with it.

He didn't care what the creature thought. If it backed off he'd keep his guard up until either he was sure it wouldn't attack him, or he'd wipe it out in it's moment of weakness. He grinned as he waited, his body like a coiled spring. If it swung at him he'd simply dive away, if it bit, he could leap back, but that would be expected. Throwing himself into a forward slide, between it's legs would be the way he would most likely go as the wolf could just follow him if he went back.

Rationale was something wasted on the lycan like beast. It would award about the same as talking to a bulldog when it was attacking you. The words are foreign to the beast’s ears sounding much like his growls would to Adrian. There would be no way that he would even get 20 of the 70 of his words out before he is attacked yet again. In the middle of the speech or towards the beginning, the beast uses his advantage in speed and agility to jut his foot out and into the gut of the swordsman to punt him away.

He pushed off, releasing the weapon to the beast's jaws. His backwards motion absorbed much of the blow but he was thrown several feet back. The creature was stronger than he was, sure. But he was a lot more focused. He rolled as he came off his feet and went down. He came up, bashing his head against a tree trunk.

"Fuck!" he said, wincing as he rubbed the back of his head.

But he didn't hesitate a second in getting up, nor did he allow both of his eyes to leave the beast as he got up. Growling low in his throat he rushed forward, toward the lycanthrope his right hand extended out in front of him before summoning the Devil's Teardrop to his left hand. He lept forward, his hands coming together over his head, his blade coming down as hard as he could bring it, before he let go, throwing himself into a slide, slipping between the woylf's legs. Coming up behind it, he once again willed the still flying blade to him, as he spun to face it, his weapon flashing out as quick and hard as he could, his left hand gripping the blade nearly tightly enough to draw blood.

The beast flings the blade to the side to get rid of it, but it would return to the hand of the swordsman. Though it may not be rational, it should be able to recognize a pattern in battle. The creature stands still as Adrian rolls, hits a tree, gets up, rushes forwards, jumps, wields his weapon and slides. The beast’s catlike reflexes come into play as he attempts to interrupt Adrian by stepping on him when he attempts to slide between the woylf’s legs having watched his movements up to this point.

Adrian rolled away from the stomp. He forced himself into a crouch, beside the beast, his sword coming around, aiming for the beast's ankle with all his might. If it were right he'd take the beast's foot off. That would slow it down drasticly, and might even force it off. Creatures didn't like pain, and even the most fierce of creatures could be forced off. It was all a matter of how much damage you did to it before it fled. Too much and it might take you down with it, but enough could frighten beasts like this one off.

The stomp barely misses as the agile swordsman rolls out of the way and the beast lets out a defending roar as its tendon is severed in its leg, causing that leg to crumble under its weight. The surprise and pain catches the canine creature off guard and its body falls to the side with blood gushing from its leg injury.

Adrian stumbled back before he grunted, hitting the ground lightly. He panted lightly as he sat there, watching the beast, his eyes never leaving it. He slid away from it, frowning as he caught his breath slowly.

"Tried to warn you, dumbass." he muttered.

He rose to his feet, his eyes narrowing as he brought his sword up in both hands, held defensively. He wasn't letting his guard down for even an instant. He was going to have to kill it eventually.

While Adrian was catching his breath, so was the beast. It's large chest heaved up and down as it slowly got a handle on the pain. The full moon above accelerates the tissue growth as the wound begins to repair itself (recuperation).

Adrian grunted, forcing himself to his feet, before he began running. He was getting weak, and the damage he'd done, wasn't having any effect He'd severed the tendon, in the wolf's leg, giving him a head start. But how much of one he had, would be different. He couldn't start over from the start. He didn't have any abilities to recover.

"This isn't going to be good!" he muttered.

Climbing on his bike he kicked it into gear, before reving the engine. He stared back in the direction he'd come from before he took off heading back toward town. He had no chance in this fight, and was lucky he did as much damage as he did.

The beast remains passive while he continues to recuperate. He looks up as the bike is turned on and barks at Adrian as he makes his get away. By the time the beast is able to get up, Adrian is long gone. With his scent, it probably would not be the last time they met.
