Located in the heart of East City, the fast-growing organization known as PsiCoven Strategic Solutions uses this leased space to serve as a recruitment location for the Strategic Operations Corps. As soon as you walk in, you notice the armed guards here. Weapons are checked in as you enter. The scanning equipment is very efficient at picking up hidden weapons. Once you make it passed security, you enter the main lobby where attractive ladies are dispersing refreshments and snacks. There is a Help Desk is the center of the Lobby to help if you're lost or confused. Above, there are signs with arrows pointing to different locations. Currently, there are five primary signs leading away from the lobby. These signs direct people to where they need to go in order to acquire more information about the organization's different positions and what exactly it is that they do. The information specialist in the main lobby explains the overall mission and vision of PsiCoven's Strategic Operations Corps (SOC). New recruits that express no awareness of the paranormal activities occurring in Saicity are placed in separate information sessions from those who express genuine awareness. The Anti-Demon Forces rarely take on recruits that are unaware because the initial shock of the first experience can be truly damaging to the psyche of certain people. Due to this fact, PsiCoven instituted the split group policy. Decision Guides are Virtual Information Specialists who lead groups of candidates around the facility on a tour to the different position rooms so that they can understand what each position is all about in order to decide if they want to begin the screening process for that position.

The positions are as follows: Coordinator, Handler, Neutralizer, Gatherer, Research and Development (or R&D for short). When you arrive at the Help Desk, you can inquire about the positions there and you will get a holographic pop-up of you as each of the positions (think any RPG character selection screen) and a virtual "narrator" while say a brief, prepared blurb about the position.

If you select Research and Development: "The R&D Department of PsiCoven SOC is responsible for designing weapons and armor for all of our operatives as well as discovering new ways of reducing "special circumstance" criminal activity in the city. If you have a knack for science and technology, this might be the field for you. Would you like to know more?"

If you select Gatherer: "The Gatherer is responsible for collecting intelligence on targets to assist Handlers in getting that intel to their Neutralizers as well as helping Coordinators account for variables. The Gatherer is everywhere and nowhere all at once. Not big on fighting, but great at finding secrets, speak to a representative about becoming a Gatherer today!"

If you select Neutralizer: "Here at PsiCoven we deal with numerous problems that our clients might have, the Neutralizer is the one who solves those problems. Neutralizers serve as bodyguards, enforcers, espionage specialists, and if necessary, we will undertake special missions to assist our clients in mitigating these problems. The famous words of a Neutralizer are, "Problem solved." Help make the city a better place, become a Neutralizer!"

If you select Handler: "The Handler is the agent of the Neutralizer. When a mission is given to them, they analyze the objectives and assign the best Neutralizer for that particular mission. Handlers are also responsible for initial screening for Neutralizers. They are the liaisons between the company and the problem solvers that we hire. Handlers are managers and leaders of SOC's valued assets. Find out more about this rewarding career now."

If you select Coordinator: "The embodiment of PsiCoven SOC, the Coordinator is a strategic consultant that gets assigned to files and creates detailed plans on how the security faction can reduce expenses, structure their training regiment, be more effective with their missions, and formulating plans of attack for strategic raids against crucial and/or high value targets. This is a big day not only for me, but for PsiCoven as well. We are stepping up to the big leagues now and a commercial unveiling the PsiCoven Information Center. The best thing about providing Corporate Strategy for numerous companies is that when you need to get something done, former clients that have profited b/c of our consultations are more than happy to help out when we need it. That is what is going on today. Surreal Visions, a Public Relations and Marketing firm that we helped position themselves to rebound successfully to avoid being swallowed up by a larger firm, has come out with an entire concept and production team to make a commercial for my company, which is growing and rebranding itself today. They are building their clientèle and this should help put both of us in a positive light. PsiCoven unveils not only this recruiting center, but also our new name, PsiCoven Strategic Solutions. The company will be comprised of three divisions now: Strategic Operations Corps, Corporate Strategy Division, and PsiCoven Security Force, which is the new addition to the operation where clients can come directly to PsiCoven to hire a bodyguard or get consulting on "how to handle troublesome situations".

While the production crew is setting up, the director and concept team come into a conference room with me to explain their whole idea to me. The primary commercial is going to take place here in two parts. One part is going to focus on me with members of the SOC and then members of the new Security Force since this is where we do open recruiting for both. The third segment was completed yesterday at the office showing the Corporate Strategy Division interacting with clients including some brief testimonials of other clients that have been helped. That will flow into today's segment. They tell me, "Today's segments will be very informational and inspirational for people who need direction in their life. We're going to get some of your people to speak about their experiences. It will show PsiCoven in a light of being a company that is all about giving the wayward a purpose and teaching them the importance of protecting the weak and less fortunate. It will also promote channeling the ill will of the troubled youth into being more productive members of society. It will give people a quick look at each of the positions they can aspire to and then we've prepared a closing for you to say yourself. Viewers will be directed to your Realm 2.0 site where they can take a virtual tour of the "common areas" of the Information Center here. It will basically give them the same experience as the virtual tour guide. They will still be prompted to come down and visit in order to get in-depth information about the different positions. That's also to protect against competitors trying to learn anything special about the company." They ask me what I think and I tell them that it sounds good to me. I tell them that the finished product is what's most important to me. "Your vision is going to bring my vision for the future of my company to life. I like the piece we did yesterday, but this segment can't be flowers and roses. It has to be real and it has to hit home for why the Strategic Operations Corps and the Security Force are necessary. We need to sell the total package to potential investors and/or sponsors." They both nod to me slowly and the female doing the concept writing looks down at her progression and tells me that she wants to make some changes. The director tells her that we have a schedule to keep in order to "get Mr. Prince back to his busy schedule". Apparently, their boss had spoken to them.

Picking up my phone, "Tina, reassign or reschedule my appointments for today."
Tina: "Is everything alright with the shoot, Mr. Prince?"
Me: "Everything is fine. The concept team has decided to make improvements to the material, so I'll be down here until we finish."
Tina: "Understood, sir. If necessary, do you want to switch to a Realm appointment with any of your clients?"
Me: "Only the 4 o'clock appointment if necessary. The others can be rescheduled if they don't want to sit down with anyone else."

I hang up with Tina and the concept writer gets to work instantly as I walk outside. The director and concept artist look at me with some surprise before turning their attention to helping with the process. It's funny seeing some of my people with the make-up artists preparing for this commercial. I sit down in my "field office" here to work on some business while I wait. After I finish with all of my e-mails, I check the business reports and Prince Enterprises reports that the stock prices are down for the eighth day in a row amid concerns regarding the health of their CEO, Donovan Prince. Now I may hate my father, but the humanity still left inside of me tells me that even with that being true, I should visit him in the hospital. I suppose I could do that later tonight or tomorrow. Going over all of the reports regarding Prince Enterprises, I notice that there are rival companies that are showing a lot of interest in Prince Enterprises. I look at my stock portfolio and a grin comes to my face. Why not? I contact my stock broker and tell him that I want him to time the bottoming of Prince Enterprises to find out how much I need to acquire in order to have 51% stock ownership.

Broker: "Psyre, we've had this talk before. You can't destroy your family's company. You would have to buy out several of the executives including your brother or mother in order to take majority control from your father. He split it up so that one of you couldn't overthrow him. Your mother agreed to take a smaller interest in order to better control you and your brother. Besides, shouldn't you be more concerned with trying to mend your relationship with him since the reports about his health don't sound that good. If you're looking to make some money, I have some pretty plays that you might want to look into."

Me: "Send me the prospectus. Also, I don't give a damn about them, I want to destroy them. Find a way for me to do it."

There is a knock at the door and I hang up the phone. I wave them in and the director tells me that they're ready. I head out and he walks me thru the concept. Their concept plays on the Lower Commons gang and crime problems as well as the security of buildings and hard money transfers and reenactments of my assistance in delicate police negotiations. I like it. We get straight to work and the takes run pretty smoothly as we transition thru the scenes. We spend two hours shooting the scenes then they start the editing process once we're done. Their editing team doesn't take long to upload and clean up the scenes. Yesterday's segment was already spliced together, so I watch that one while they are doing the cleaning. Good, I still like it.

The second segment is centered around the Strategic Operations Corps. It starts with introduction to different operatives that hold each of the positions before it flows to motivational testimonials that really get the adrenaline rushing and the blood pumping with a rock instrumental playing in the background. The segment ends with a "Circle of Strategy" transition showing how one position works with another position. The Neutralizer in this commercial works as a bodyguard for hire protecting their client from an assassination attempt. I can't just openly say that our Neutralizers take on assassination missions, so I have to play the bodyguard angle.

The third segment focuses on the mission of the Security Force. It moves thru a bank head of security meeting with a Coordinator who goes over a security plan with him and assigns a team to protect the bank. This time the Neutralizer is a sniper that knee caps a bank robber from a security post down the street before the rest of the team drops his accomplices and subdues them.

The closing is just a motivational pitch that really appeal to reforming the wayward and giving them the opportunity to use their talents productively while working to help improve the sustainable competitive advantage of our clients be them non-profit organizations, large corporations, or private security firms. I tell them to come on down to the PsiCoven Information Center or check out our location in Realm 2.0 to learn more about the company today.

When the final rundown of all three segments and the closing is finished, I nod to them and they contact the representative from Elgoog Corporation that they deal with to request airtime for the commercial. The commercial is also sent to representatives of the different major players in the city that could benefit from sponsoring PsiCoven Strategic Solutions. Hopefully, someone takes interest in the company.

While in the meeting with the silver spoon guy, Syx receives a call through his earpiece and motions for me to excuse myself from the meeting and accompany him out of the office. Once outside with the door closed behind us he informs me that a person of interest has just entered the information center and is currently reading over job descriptions. He goes on to tell me that he wants me to feel the kid out and see if he is worth the interview process.

Having received my assignment, I nod to the man and turn to head for the lobby where the main information desk was located. As I approach the desk I study the interested party. He didn't look to be that much of a kid, maybe a few years younger than myself, but definitely of legal age which was always a plus. Giving the guards watching a slight nod, I move up to where the newcomer stands. Dressed in my typical black button up shirt and slacks, I smooth a hand through my dirty blonde hair and swallow my nerves. Not enough time had passed between being offered the position here and this moment so I was a bundle of nerves as I opened my mouth to speak.

Offering a hand and a welcoming smile to the young man, I plunge right in with an introduction. "Hello and welcome to the PsiCoven Information Center. My name is Jasper. Is there anything I can help you with today?" I was originally going to include my job title but from the looks of him being approached by the Head of Security might make him jumpy.

The young man appeared to be the quiet type, at least when first meeting someone. I can't fault him for this since I usually followed the same route, at least I did before accepting my new position. Head of Security can't exactly stick to the shadows and keep his mouth shut. As the handshake is completed, I nod to the man and speak with what I hope is a welcoming smile, since I don't have much experience in this department I was not entirely sure of my expressions. "A pleasure to meet you, Renaulde."

My attention follows his as it shifts back to the display screen which holds information on the Gatherer position of employment. "Let's see if I can help you figure out what you would like to know. If you are interested in employment here at PsiCoven, the gatherer seems to be a fitting choice for you. No offense or anything, but you seem to have the recommended aspects for the job. Would you be comfortable with investigating and gathering information for a wide variety of purposes? Gatherers work closely with Handlers to communicate the information they have compiled to the Neutralizers working the specific cases as well as assist them in preparing the Neutralizers for possible events and outcomes they could encounter while carrying out their ends of the missions. If any of this interests you I can offer my assistance with the application process."

The prospective future employee did not seem convinced quite yet, maybe I am worse at this sort of thing than I first thought. Well before any permanent damage is done I can give it one more go. Hey this time he asks a question... or poses a questioning thought... that I can actually answer relatively easily. Throwing all the social graces out of the window, since I suck at them anyway, my demeanor returns to my default stance. No more forced smiles or awkward gestures, just me standing there as a man who just happens to be far removed from emotion and social interaction. If my trying to fake the part was putting him off, hopefully this would rectify the situation.

"Now that is something I can answer with no problem. Think of Handlers as agents in charge of the Neutralizers. They are the middle management branch of the employment tree. The connection between the corporate side and the, umm, not so professional side. The Neutralizers themselves fill a number of positions. They can act as bodyguards to prevent and defend against troubles, enforcers to take care of problems, or even act as hands on gatherers when the mission calls for more than your every day gatherer should be asked to undertake. Neutralizers are generally the muscle to the handlers management and the gatherers skill. Athleticism could make you an impressive candidate for a gatherer or neutralizer, I would personally suggest the former unless you've studied martial arts or other fighting styles in depth. Gatherers need skills in the areas of intelligence, stealth, and disguise to the point of blending easily and being difficult to recall in detail. The ability to slip out of sticky situations wouldn't hurt either."

I hoped this shed a bit more light on whatever it was he was truly searching for here.

Losing the act seemed to be a pretty good idea so far. The man appears to be more receptive to my answer this time around. Then again, it could be the fact that my response this time wasn't just the dry and boring stuff he could find for himself on the information screen. Listening to what he was saying, I was preparing to tell him that I was sure a few of our other gatherers would be more than happy to offer some tips on being unremarkable when he produced the wallet. Taking the leathery fold into my hands, I thank the man as I flip it open to inspect the contents. A small smirk shows on my face when I see that the cash holding compartment isn't left barren but still carries a few small bills. I would almost be willing to bet that there had originally been a large bill or two tucked in with them.

Since it didn't matter now, I turn my head and signal one of the guards to come and take the wallet from me. "An employee lost his wallet earlier today. Take this and look him up in the system. He will need to be contacted so he can come pick it up. ID card is inside so he won't be able to get in anywhere but here."

After the customary, 'Will do, sir' or something similar, I would thank the guard and turn my attention back to the good samaritan. "Thank you for returning the wallet. The employee would have trouble reporting for duty tomorrow without it. I apologize for not being able to offer you a reward for your kindness."

How does he sign up? That is a very good question. When I was first hired... no hired isn't exactly the right word, more like tested or recruited... I was given a mission out of the gate that would allow Psyre and Syx the opportunity to observe my skills and see if I was really PsiCoven material. The same should probably be done for this young man, but for the life of me I couldn't think of any current projects I could set him up on. The real projects were a bit too much for a first timer, too much of the required information was more sensitive than a novice should be exposed to. Taking a moment to ponder over just what his test run should be, an image of a tiny blonde girl flashes into my mind. While agonizing over the possibility that has just occurred to me, I cut down on the awkward silence by giving the newbie a thoughtful question to answer.

"Let me ask you this before we get into the details... What is it that you would like to do or gain as a Gatherer for PsiCoven? Are there any particular areas of interest you would like to focus on in this line of work?"

Since that question would make me take a minute and come up with something half reasonable, I hoped his response would provide enough time for me to finish up this nagging thought in my mind. Could I really use this as an opportunity to do what I had been dreading for so long? It had now been two years since she was released from the orphanage, two years that I could have spent mending the broken and burned bridges between us. But I hadn't made a single move to find her. She could be living in the same apartment building and I wouldn't even know it. The only thing holding me back from assigning this to Renaulde was the sneaky suspicion that it would be against the rules to use company resources for personal quests. Then again... this was just his test run mission, not an official company investigation. This would just be a way to gauge his skills and make sure he can get the job done quickly and quietly.

After listening to his response to the stalling question, I take out the small notebook that is always kept in one pocket and begin to jot down the basics he will need to get started. Alexis Renee Andrews. Her name, her birth date, and the name of the orphanage we dropped her off in front of almost 13 years ago. I had to estimate the date she was dropped off, but I was able to narrow it down to the month and year for him. That was all the information I could provide without listing my parents names or those of myself and Trinity. He wouldn't need that information, I knew everything that happened to her before she was dropped off.

Ripping the small sheet from the notebook, I hand it to him with a stony expression. "To begin the hiring process, you start off with a semi standard mission. If you complete this mission in a timely and successful manner, you will move on to the rest of the tasks for employment. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find me everything available on this woman after the month and year she was dropped off at that establishment. I want to know as much detail as possible, even down to what toothpaste she prefers if that information is possible to find. Do you think you can handle that in say... a week's time?"

I didn't waste time with hunting down the man that I had met. Was he a man? I really had no idea, but I knew he probably wasn't completely human. Then again, he didn't have a spirit scent either, so he wasn't one of us. A fire user that could float and use energy, well, was pretty rare, but then again so was a higher order spirit living as a house pet. After returning to the Upper Cliffs Laurens father, I had asked for directions and information. Although he was a political figure, he had little information that he could give me on this organization, or its previous running. Curiously, I swindled directions out of him, even after Lauren asked me not to go. The rest of my previous evening, and the encounter with this being had been kept from her knowledge. It was probably for the best as well. I had been left with nothing but a direction. No name, no address, just a company title. It didn't take me long to find the building once I had the address. Now, I stood outside with my hands in my pockets. I wore a white suit with a black dress shirt, collar over the top, and slightly opened. My blonde hair waved in the wind, while my fingers moved slightly within the leather gloves that I wore. I wanted to keep any bit of glowing out of the public eyes for now.
"PsyCoven.. what an interesting looking place."
I smiled at the building before walking in the door. All I would need to do is keep quiet, and maybe I could figure out how to find this being again. I had a lot of questions for him. The last time I was down here was, well, probably before this city was finished being built. moving forward, I walked through the large, nicely designed front doors, and stepped into the lobby. I was quickly scanned for weapons, of which I had none. Security was in a pleasant mood, and allowed me to pass. I didnt really look like I could make any trouble, and I would definitely avoid bringing down a lightning storm in here. He was, after all, my only lead for surviving down here. Stepping up to the information desk, I waited in line for a moment before it was my turn.
Before the lady could ask me what I needed, I spoke to her.
"The master of this building."

I watched others enter the building, while waiting on this girls answer. It didnt matter to me what she was, or where she planned on sending me. I had come here for one reason, and only one reason. Without thinking, I placed my hand on the virtualized tour guide to my side, and concentrated my electricity into it. I didnt really mean to do anything brash, I was just getting a little bit impatient. Maybe a little bit of trouble would get me where I needed to be faster. Not that I wanted any trouble, I just wanted this slow girl at the counter desk to get me to the man I had met in the woods. Something told me that mentioning that wouldnt mean jack down here. I wouldnt let people know who I was either, especially if I had a bit spiffy building like this one at my disposal. Hhmm..
I exhaled lightly, pressing electricity into the circuits.

Since the information desk was unmanned and the only attractive females located in the lobby were there for the purpose of supplying snacks and drinks, the female stares back at the strange man with a blank expression. She would of course know who the master of this building was but being on the lowest end of the employment spectrum would not give her the knowledge of his location. When the security guards posted at the entrance hear the man's demand they immediately summon the head of security to the lobby just in case this stranger means their boss any harm.

By the time the man places a hand on the virtual tour guide and proceeds to overload the electrical circuits, I make it to the lobby. "Please remove your hand from the equipment, sir. You wouldn't want to damage Mr. Prince's property now would you?" Approaching the inquisitive stranger, dressed in my usual black slacks/black dress shirt combo, sandy blonde waves tucked behind my ears, my chestnut and honey eyes trained on the possible target just in case he tried to attack any other employees or equipment. Deciding not to immediately treat him as a dangerous suspect, I offer him my hand along with a formal introduction. "Jasper Andrews, Head of Security. I hear you are asking to see the master of this building, is that correct? May I ask what business you have with Mr. Prince?"

I pulled my hand away from the surface and tucked it underneath my white suit jacket, and straight into my left pocket. turning to face the being that now questioned me, I kept gazing around at security. I didnt know what the beings name was, but from what I could tell, this human had information for me. Maybe coming here was the best thing for me to do up until now. I still had a lot of questions after all. I slid my body around to completely face human. Looking down at his hand, I lifted my own to its surface, taking it firmly and nodding to the name.
"Forgive my Stark demeanor, but our business is our own. He should be expecting me."
I would keep the grip there, waiting for the human to release. I was trying rather hard to keep myself in a civil mood, but I didnt know how long that would last here.

"Of course." My response is short but still polite and is offered as I draw my hand away from his and turn as if to leave the lobby. "If you will follow me to the security office, I will contact Mr. Prince and let him know that you request an audience with him." If the boss was truly expecting this young man then why would he send him here? Mr. Prince is very rarely here in person, his office is housed in an entirely different building. I would still contact him, as per protocol, just in case the man really does have reason to be here. If it turns out that he is not a welcome guest we would be safely within the confines of my office should any trouble develop.

If he follows to the office, I would lead him past the meeting room into my private space and shut the door behind him while gesturing for him to take the empty chair in front of my desk. I then would proceed to my chair to place the call to Psyre's direct line.

I released hsi hand and took a light breath, releasing the air through my nose in silence. A light amount of cool and confident operation would be necessary in getting answers. I shifted weight forward to follow the human out of the main area. I looked into a meeting room as we passed it, and stayed close as we entered a smaller, more private room. Looking around, I kept myself on guard. I wasnt about to lower my defenses and get into trouble here. if I had to fight my way out of here I would. Looking around the room, I nodded to the human and took a seat at the front of his desk.

We are in the process of preparing to transfer buildings as our corporate operations are moving from the Benefactor Complex in East City to the soon to be former Prince Enterprises Tower. I will be arriving there tomorrow morning bright and early during the scheduled Board of Directors meeting. This should be plenty of fun for me and lots of irritation and discomfort for my dear half-brother, Dontay. While I have been out of the office far more than in since my return to Saicity from Onitoshi, I am in a meeting discussing potential acquisitions of private security companies that I feel could benefit from being acquired by Psi Voli.

The phone at my current office rings. The receptionist looks down at the phone display and notices that the number shows the Head of Security at the Psi Voli Information Center, Jasper Andrews. She looks quizzically at the display for a moment before she answers, "Good day, Mr. Andrews. Mr. Prince is in a meeting right now, but it should be wrapping up shortly. Is everything alright there?"

Pausing for a moment, I pull the phone slightly away from my mouth to ask the man sitting across from my desk his name so the receptionist can pass the information along to the boss once his meeting has ended. If the information was given I would relay that into the phone for the woman on the other end.

I kept my back straight and released a light yawn, allowing the breath to gently parse its way through my lips.I wondered what the lady was doing right now. Something told me that she would be rather perturbed that I had gone missing after discussing my short time here on Earth with her father. I listened to the security officer for a moment before he asked for my name.

The receptionist places Jasper on hold so that she can look through the contact files and doesn't find the name in any of the files. She takes Jasper off of hold, but my office door opens and I walk out with one of the heads of one of the private security firms that I am prospecting for acquisition. Psi Voli is growing and I need only the best new assets to assist in that growth. After the man gets on the elevator, the receptionist flags me down and I turn to look at her. "I'm sorry to disturb you, Mr. Prince. Jasper from the Info Center is on the phone and he says that there is a Mr. Sanzon at the Center that wants to meet with you." I pause for a moment and no the name doesn't ring a bell, so I tell her to have Jasper make sure that the holo receiver in his office is turned on.

Once I make it back into my office, I activate my holo transmitter system and step onto the platform. I kept reviewing files on my desk from the platform while I wait for the connection to pick up. My attention is first placed on Jasper once my image appears in the room. "I hope this is important." I have to wait a moment for the room to finish loading so that I can see everything in Jasper's office as if I were really there. Namely, this person called Sanzon. He would be able to see me before I would have clear view of him. I am wearing a smoke grey slacks, vest, and tie with a black dress shirt, black belt, and black diamond cuff links and tie clasp. My hair is in its normal style.

I kept my eyes wandering around the small office while trying to figure out what exactly this place was. Maybe it was some large political corporation that didnt really care about anyone or anything at all. On the other end, maybe it was something completely different. I sighed as the hologram came on. Smiling at what I saw, even though it was cloaked under a different guise. I would never forget a face like his, especially not after such a short time. I had came to the right place after all. Slowly, the ends of my lips twisted into a light smile at the satisfaction of what I saw.

As the settings finish loading, my holographic image remains still for a moment while I save these settings for future visits. Once I hear the voice, I turn my head to the right and see a familiar face. Nodding to the male spirit, "It would appear you have."

At the entrance, there seems to be a situation between two members from rival gangs that have encountered one another in passing. Currently, they are entangled in an aggressive and escalating argument that is starting to cause a disturbance. Turning to Jasper, "They are interrupting the flow of opportunity out there. Put an end to it however you need." With those orders, Jasper would be heading to deal with the disturbance, so I would move around to his desk once he leaves to use his seat while I talk to the spirit identified as Sanzon. I could not be sure how this conversation would go, so I might as well start off comfortable since I remember he has a rather blunt tongue. "So you have found you were able to track down Psi Voli. If I remember correctly, we have a few unfinished conversations, yes? First though, I'm more curious about what has brought you here today."

I listened intently, focusing on his words, and how they were brought out across the projection. I wondered about the gangs, but dismissed it when he began to speak to me once again. Thinking out about Laurens father, I remembered how I gained information about this company. Although he told me little about the actual company, I was still given a brief overview of some of its dealings. After listening to the dismissal of the security officer, I brought my attention, fully, to the holographic projection.
"It wasn't difficult to track you down. As for why I am here, I will tell you. I was cast from the otherworld when my younger brother betrayed me, nearly killing me in the process. Most of the spirits whom I knew figure I'm dead, but I managed to survive, and am slowly returning my powers to full capacity before I return. I was once known as the Lightning Tiger, a soldier of the heavens, but those days are gone. A girl found me in my animal form and took me in, so I have stayed with the DeCorsano family as their pet and guardian. When I finally brought myself back to a decent level of power, I figure it was time to start making my way onto my own path once again, which is where you entered."

I took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled. I would normally have used this breathing style for the basic splitting of electrical charges, but I decided against it and just went on as normal.

"As for my questions, they are many. The first is simple. I am curious to why things went downhill within this realm. Last time I was here we had a decent relationship with the humans. Where did that go wrong?"

When he speaks of an animal form, it is one of the powers that I cannot seem to manifest since I am a half-breed and my human side seems to be more dominant in terms of genetic composition. My facial expression does not change, but I am fully aware of my shortcomings there and it annoys me at times. Still, the Lightning Tiger... I will have to ask Melvai if he is familiar with the name when I next return to Arden. Continuing to listen to the kami speak, I am actually elated to meet a light kami in person. His story is rather disheartening as there are few fates more despicable than being betrayed by someone so close to you as your own blood. His question though is one that I have asked myself of Uncle Marqos, but have yet to get a definitive answer. The most logical explanation to me is, "The humans are a fearful and distrusting race. Normal humans are unable to see spirits, which means that spirits could and did attack and harm the humans without any potential recourse. The humans that could see spirits formed groups to combat the spirits. There is a special division of the police forces that seems to be able to combat spirits. They protect City Metro with some form of barrier. Even my Uncle has trouble from time to time penetrating the barrier... one moment."

My image turns as the receptionist walks into my office and approaches the platform. Her image takes shape in the projection as she asks me what I would like her to do with the field reports. I tell her to take them to Alexis or Crystal since I won't have time to look at them anyway. She agrees and walks off. Turning my attention back to Sanzon, "You spoke of a path and that it is where I come in to play... what path would this be and how are you hoping or expecting that I will be a benefit to it?"

I listened to his explanation rather thoroughly, and tried to reason with myself that the humans were the ones that had really blown it, not us. then again, the lower level of spirit, the demons, were a rather atrocious race that didnt really give a damn about anything except for themselves. This would probably have to be the best place to start. thinking for a minute while he turned his attention away, I thought quickly about what my next step would be. I had found him, and was now having an issue due to my older self. As soon as he asked the question, which I knew he would get to without waiting, I gave him an honest answer.
"That night in the forest, something happened. As a soldier of the highest order, I can not sit by and allow this to carry on down here. If I had known that the humans were in such bad shape that one demon could do so much damage, we would have done something earlier. You seem to know your way around here quite well, so I come to offer my services."

This one is quite interesting. Possibly detached from things, but he has knowledge of the Light Kamis, who I am told will wish me dead if they discover my heritage. Still, he doesn't seem to be on the best terms with them, so that might be of benefit to me as well. He wishes to offer his services to me, eh? Wait, services as a soldier? While he could quite possibly overpower a good number of the lower Neutralizers in the company and if that is so then he would be in great standing to become a Guardian for me... wait, no he can't because he would probably turn against me if he knew where I came from and I'm pretty positive that I would not want to have him turned to the dark side... (dun dun dun) to become a Dark Kami! It's probably so much easier just to inquire. Looking over at him, "Your services? What do you do besides soldiery? I have plenty of operatives that carry out missions for me. Do you have any other talents or skills?" Where I really wanted someone new was Research and Development, but I can't just divulge such things.

I thought about what services I could give him. I had been a warrior of the other world, but that was because I had a particular leadership and organization style. Thinking of what my current objective was, I figured that it would be best for me to be in an organizational position. With something that powerful on the loose, we would need to focus on something larger, and more long term to take care of it. I rarely ever came across a being that I couldnt handle, and if the two of us together would be unable to do it, then we had a severe problem.
"To be honest, combat isn't my forte. I do it, and I am good at it, but when I enter an engagement I enter it with intent to kill. There is a being that is more powerful than both of us roaming around somewhere, and that greatly concerns me. From another perspective, I led a solid team of warriors, and was their leader out of respect that I earned, not appointment. It will take an organization to defeat this creature, and soldiers of different strengths, not a single individual. What you can do with that, I don't know, but I do know that I can do many other things besides combat."

This man has very valid points. While I do not like admitting that I cannot overcome an obstacle, the male entity was one that I could not defeat no matter what I may try. He can cripple me with ease and I have to face that fact. That does give me the thought to train for a means to overcome such a binding power. I begin to analyze what he tells me and jot down notes to see where exactly I could best implement his apparent skill set. I look at my notepad and nod. So he has leadership abilities, the presence and personality to command respect from subordinates, the knowledge of utilizing different martial types. That can be useful. I could appoint him to the Coordinator Corps, but something tells me that that would not be the best placement. I sit there silent in thought and note making. Finally it dons on me. "I think I know exactly where you can be more helpful. I am in the works of opening an Academy in the Lower Commons for the gifted youth of Saicity. I am primarily targeting troubled youths who will live in the dormitories at the Academy and be kept together so that they can learn from each other and their dorm proctors as well as their instructors how to manifest and control their gifts. I want to test you out as one of the Chief Instructors for the "Special Sector" of the Academy where we will send prospectives to take the fast track to developing their powers and their minds. If you can lead kamikonjou, I am confident in your abilities to train and mentor these youths. They will give you your wide range of combat types. Are you up for the challenge?"

I sat there while bringing my hand up to rub my chin. His words were sincere, and brought forth an idea that I had never really thought of. A director of an academy for talented students, where I could make sure they were getting the training that they needed. In this way, I would almost be able to raise a private, specially trained military from the ground up. I had to think about it for a moment, but then it occurred that this would probably be my best bet. there were a couple of concerns that I had about this project, but those could all be addressed at a later time. now was not appropriate for me to throw my two cents in on something that was slightly irritating me. Maybe later I would send him a message about this, but not now. I wondered what exactly I would have to do at this school, but then I figured that he was probably busy and would leave me to take care of it as I see fit, which would probably be the same as what he wanted anyway.

So there seems to be several things in the library of the temple at the stronghold that I need to read after all. If knowledge such as this is available there then I would need to uncover it. There is much to be learned from stories of the past. After he explains to me what this concept is, I would nod with a grin considering the answer. My next order of business would be to inquire further about something that I have learned that those seeking employment rarely ask. "So Sanzon, what questions or concerns do you have about your new assignment? I am sure that there are plenty as everyone has questions when they come to work for me. I don't spend a lot of time giving people specifics up front. I let them come and get the answers, but considering this project and its purpose for me, I feel that we should take the time to address anything that is on your mind." My receptionist sends me a message on the computer to tell me that I have two messages waiting on me. One is regarding a date and the other is regarding an electrical wiring problem with one half of the top floor of the Tower. This damn building transfer is going to be annoying I can see. It seems that I will not have the full range of time to discuss things with Sanzon right now, but I would answer as much as I could before I have to go handle things.

I listened to him for a little bit while he asked his question. There was a simple way to describe the paths that we followed, so I would keep it simple for this explanation, especially to a future being who I would assist. I didn’t have very many questions about the assignment he was giving me, but more that he was not testing the validity of my abilities. It didn’t make sense that someone would appoint someone to an important assignment without making sure they were capable of handling it. I would address that in a moment though.
“In the other world, there are masters for what the humans call “magic”. There are five primary elements, and then the heavenly series of abilities. These encompass heavens, darkness, void, and so on. Think of it like a political body that keeps the abilities of our lines sacred and intact through the ages. While there are spin offs of these, there are very few beings who study underneath the masters, and have the opportunity to become a master themselves. The primary issue here is that the masters are bound and destined to be the guardians of the heavens class of ability. My master is the previous Lightning Tiger, and I once held that title when I was in the heavens, but now I am in a recovering stage. If you want to run this academy, you will need a few other masters to properly train these beings, or the closest and most powerful of elementalists down here. “
I breathed out for a moment before asking my question. I only had one concern, and that was it. I was sure he was a busy man, so I would keep this nice and short.

So there was indeed a bit more to the paths than I had originally anticipated. I nod to him as he continues and just grin when the question of not testing him comes up. I respond with a smile, "This is your test. You will be heading THIS program, but you will still answer to me and I make sure that I know everything that is taking place without having to look over your shoulder. Also, there will be one rival program at the Academy, but I love competition and what it brings out of people. I have a simple philosophy about bringing new people into this organization. I could give you a traditional interview and it would not truly tell me about your abilities in handling youths in different moods and with different personal agendas. Even if you're good with them one at a time, it doesn't detail your ability for dealing with multiple types of personalities at the same time. Also, I take people on their word. If you are not who you say you are, I will know soon enough, but I don't get that vibe from you, so I can not say that I am concerned about my decision to give you this opportunity. If you care to aid me in developing an interview format that covers such scenarios then by all means that can be a display of your abilities, (said with a chuckle) but it's not necessary. You will not see anything that I do not want to be seen, so rest assured that I know what I'm doing. Think of this as a trial hire process. Besides, the school is being completed in the Lower Commons, so I have time. I listened to his words about the test, and how it would affect me. I wasn’t really worried about it, and had already thought of a way to figure this thing out. I had never been to the lower commons, so this might be an interesting move for me to make. If things were as bad as they said they were, then I would want to have a hand in the design process. Fundamentally, I would want to set up the admissions process as soon as possible as well. Finding people like us would be a job for a special group, and with that we would need a classification system to organize them by strength.
“You said Research and Development.. if this is going to get off the ground, I will need a few things for this academy from you. I can address those later. As for now, All that I ask is that I have a hand in the design process. I will have my assistant give you a weekly report of what goes on for the most part, but I need to have a hand from the ground up to make sure that it is feasible in design as much as anything else. A smile curls on to my face I continue to listen to what he requests. I sit back and think about this for a moment. In all business between employer and the employee or independent contractor, the primary commodity is control. He wanted more than a normal contractor would receive from me. There is a long pause before I finally speak to address his requests. "Hmm... in regards to the design factor, if you want to design your special wing of the Academy, then I will put you in contact with Lai Tanabe, the Head of Property Development for Psi Voli and the lead on this project. As for it being an open campus, considering the nature of the students and their education that is more of a liability than a benefit. Placing it in gang territory however is feasible. The location has not been secured yet, so if there is a location that works to the means that I believe you mean to utilize this for, you can assist Lai in selecting it. I can get you a team of operatives but they cannot be from the Psi Voli. I will contract some freelancers that meet your specifications once you get those to me. In "one way or the other" remember that this is a benefit to the populace, so just make sure that we do not become part of the problem. This is primarily to be a volunteer and court-granted system. There will be a department at the Academy that investigates the court cases and difficult police cases in which the suspect fits our profiles. Now once they are in either of the Advanced Programs, they remain in the program until graduation."

Crystal, my Chief Operating Officer, walks into the office with a file and I look and nod to her. "Sanzon, I have to take care of some business. Here is my contact information. As you can see, I'm very rarely ever at the Info Center, so this is your best means of getting in contact with me. I look forward to getting to sit down in person and discuss things further." I send over a downloadable file with all of the important information which includes my cell phone number, office number, and address to the East City Office. Included in the file is also the necessary paperwork for employment with Koraer Corporation and where to send it once he finished with it. Might as well get that out of the way.

I listened to his words, and remembered the name that he had given me. I was about to think of something else when I decided that it would be best to wait until later. Trust was something that was built up over time, and I understood that rather well. I still had a feeling that something wasn’t right in the lower commons, so I would address that myself when I got there. Before I could take another chance to relax, another lady walked into the office. I look at the downloadable file, and cough for a moment before giving off a light laugh. He was a strange being after all, and would actually allow me to have a hand in the design process. I found it important to make sure this facility could handle the stress that people like me would put on it, especially when you added in teenage hormones and competition. Looking at the downloaded file, I made a quiet remark to myself..
“I have never used one of your these..”
I was not really too familiar with computer technology, except for knowing that I could blow them up if I sent a lot of electricity into them. I stood to nod to the other lady, who was rather attractive. With a light smile on my face, I took the file from her and nodded to the holographic visualization of the man I would be working with for a while. He seemed strange and withdrawn from things. Maybe it was just me, but I had a weird feeling. Maybe one day I would get to take him on to gauge myself.
“Thank you for your time, and I look forward to seeing you soon.”
Turning to the young lady, I smiled at her, with my skin glowing a light blue and yellow. I tried to keep it under control, but for a moment it glowed brighter than I had wanted it to, then quickly subsided. I breathed out and looked at her once again. She had a faint beauty that I didn’t really take notice of down here, but for her I would make an exception.
“would you like to escort me out of here?”

Wow.. just wow. I had surveyed this part of the city several times, and although it would have been easier for me to just fly here, I knew that it would bring a lot of notice to me. Maybe during the night time I would, but in broad daylight I would cause a scene. The last thing that I needed was the humans private military shooting me down for looking like a dangerous object. Sometimes they were so simple to figure out that I never quite could. I wore my favorite suit, a solid white one that allowed my blonde hair to hang easily across the collar. My hair was down, and I used a casual stride that brought little notice to me. It was a nice day.
I moved quickly through the city streets until I came to a point where I had stood several weeks ago. It wasn’t necessarily that I had not planned to do this, but for some reason I had to think about it for a while. Lauren was behind me, and with that, I stepped away from her and entered the building. Within my grasp was a box. Inside of it held a simple disk that contained all of the information that that man had requested. The project for me to head up was going to be something that I wanted to take in my own fashion for the better of this world. Due to the extensive altercations of this particular project, I had decided to take time to search for a few who would be very helpful in my management of this facility. As I passed through the large, stone doors, I made my way over to the virtual guide. Asking for assistance, I held the small white box up, and spoke simple.

turning to face the man, I wondered if the security officer would be here. It would probably have been best to deliver it to them instead of just handing it over, but something told me that this may be okay. Besides, if the man wanted to find me, I'm sure he would be able to. On the inside was all of the paperwork that he had requested of me, along with prints for building design features, a list of requested staff, and of course, my itinerary for the next few weeks. While the boss would be taking care of logistics, I would be finding the best and brightest in their fields to come work for our Internal RnD project. The only other thing in there was a contact listing for how to get a hold of me. Im sure he could find me if absolutely needed me, or for an emergency, but sometimes a good old cell phone was just as handy. Looking over the security personnel, I replied.

"it is for Jasper Andrews.. he will know what its for."

I had tracked down the first part of the beginning of my plan. With that in mind, I needed to find Mr. Prince as soon as possible. While it was rather difficult to catch him at a decent time, I decided to drop in near the end of the day. I came wearing my normal white suit, with a black shirt underneath. Upon approaching the same desk, you would think that I would have this process down now. Instead of looking at it, I walked to the side and straight to one of the security officers. I kept my hands in my pockets, especially since I wasn't wearing gloves. I was in a pretty good mood, and for some reason they decided to be a lighter color of blue instead of their normal yellow. With a little bit of annoyance at that, I kept myself casual, and enjoyed the walk down here. As I approached the officer, I nodded to him.

"I'm here to see Mr. Prince."

The oni lingered back a little as he had entered the building behind Lightning Tiger. He had managed to obtain a new set of clothings, replacing the ragged fabrics he had normally worn. Dubbing a long-sleeved white shirt with a zipper only halfway pulled up in the middle of it, the collar of the top was pulled up to come about level with his jawline. Beneath it he wore a loose fitting black t-shirt. He actually looked more or less refined with a pair of black slacks, fastened to his waist by a simple leather belt. With his hands in the pockets of those slacks, his crimson orbs scanned around the building's entrance. There wasn't a whole lot to take in just yet, but he did notice that there was some degree of security here that Lightning Tiger moved forward to address. Stepping up behind the kamikonjou, he supposed he should just follow the angel's lead to meet the boss of this place. "Guy lives pretty well, eh?"
