From These Wounds (Atilla)

Nibbling on a crumb of sourdough, a little mouse yokai wandered down the street. She'd made a new friend, a man whose spirit was gripped by darkness, but she still lacked a place to stay. Her human form took energy to maintain, and she found it kept her humble to use her mouse form as the default.
Thus, when she rounded the corner, she was confronted by one of her worst fears... that is, the lion demon from earlier. He seemed knocked out somehow... perhaps asleep? Or perhaps his eyes were only closed. Either way, she felt emboldened to approach this forbidden fruit a little closer. Since she'd acquired a human form, her vision in this form had gotten slightly better, and she crept silently over to the other... so silently. It seemed she was within a few inches of the demon before she cautiously reached out her whiskers to examine his thigh.

The mouse braced herself, seconds from bolting when she heard her name, but once again he touched her tail, her very intimate tail. She cringed at the touch, but could only wave her arms helplessly in the air until she came down on the soft cloth of the other's lap.
She froze like a deer in the headlights, if only because of a knowledge of what may lay under that particular piece of cloth. While she didn't know exactly what the organs in question looked like, the concept of the thing froze her in place, the former feelings of helplessness washing over her, all but drowning out the inquiry into the night's activities. She looked down in horror, his body was warm...
She found herself unable to relocate, simply standing there and attempting to answer in her usual monotone, though there lay stops in her sentences.
"I... well, I... had no plans... for tonight... just... finding... a place... to... stay..."

"Umm... maybe..." her mind was in a fog. There were those eyes again, those lovely crimson rings of fire. The situation seemed to be growing worse the longer she stayed around, she couldn't even recall her chants. "I guess... but..."
All of a sudden she began shivering, not from cold at all, but rather thinking herself falling deeper into this oni's trap, the trap he only pretended to not be aware of, but that was the job of him and his ilk. They make friends with you so they can damn you. They didn't just come right at you with the evil at first. No, they toyed with you first. You do a little thing wrong, then you do a bigger thing wrong, on and on down the slippery slope. Little demons grow into big demons after all, but she still couldn't move, simply gazing on, hypnotized.

The warm, cozy touch was the final straw, as it were. For once in a long time, her resolve broke. There couldn't be that much harm in making friends with this attractive oni, could there? He seemed nice enough, maybe if she spent enough time around him he would start to see the light. That's right, maybe he wasn't actually an evil oni, but one of those neutral ones that could be swayed towards acts of goodness, as rare as they were. Plus, he smelled nice.
With such reasoning, she rolled over on her tiny back so that his fingers could stroke her belly with their sensuous heat as she explained. "Kamikonjou are the opposite of Onikonjou, Takashou-sama. You may find it easier to exist in your human form because of your nature, but mine is opposite in that way as well."

The mouse relaxed blissfully, so very happy in the moment, every slow stroke of the fingers sending her further away from her peaceful shore of piety, but she no longer cared. If this was a trap, it was a good one, one that she'd allow herself to leap into with joy.
Thus, when he brought up that she was "cuter" in her human form, she looked back at him, blinking her large, rodent eyes. "You'd like for me to be in that form, Takashou-sama?"
Without any further questioning, there was a flash of light, then the hooded girl in the demon's lap, blushing shyly and covering her mouth up with both sleeves of her coat, her brown eyes locked on the other's. She wasn't sure why she did it, but her awareness of her deviance was beginning to return. Once again, she crossed her ankles.

The woman forcibly broke eye contact when the other's arms came to be about her. She certainly didn't want to get up, but she wondered if this looked improper... all of this hugging and sitting in of laps in public, something she wouldn't have dreamed about if it wasn't her... well, third day on Earth, a number that seemed to hold significance for her. The snicker was singularly unsettling as well. Involuntarily, she leaned into his chest, absorbing the warmth while beginning to loathe herself for her enjoyment of it. "Why do you like me better this way?" she asked, her tone having gone from monotone to dead.

What a comforting reply, the mouse spirit decided, suddenly noticing something strange shifting directly underneath her. Not being experienced in such things, she didn't know the nature behind that feeling and simply judged it to be his leg or something in his pocket. An inner sense, perhaps an ancestral memory, told her something was amiss and that it would probably be wise to stand, especially since she wasn't supposed to be this cuddly with the oni to begin with. A sense of security came over her when she buried her head in his warm chest, but this other sense nullified it. Nullified it to the point where she shifted as though to leave, but found the male's grasp something she didn't care to resist. "Takashou-sama?" she asked, a bit frightened by his embrace.

The kami blinked, finding herself released after a truly scary growl from the male that soon dissolved into a cough. Then again, despite its initial scariness she found she wasn't frightened. Another feeling was there, but she didn't know what it meant. She sat dumbly on his lap for a minute, trying to peg whatever it was until he began to speak again. Staying the night with the oni, now that she'd crossed the threshold of physical touch and emerged mostly unscathed, didn't seem like such a bad idea. She wouldn't want to sleep out in the open or sleep on someone else's property after all. There still remained that uncomfortable sensation growing, always growing beneath her belly when she was around him, but it would fade. Resist the devil and he will flee, the old saying went... but one last thing she couldn't resist...
Timidly, slowly, she moved one hand out, letting it free from its sleeve and reaching out for one of the tendrils of crimson hair flowing down the male's shoulders. Once holding it, she would look at it, amazed, and run her finger up and down it, getting a feel for the texture.

Another blink, and Atilla found herself suddenly on the pavement, all of her old fears rushing back on her at once. So it was just a facade to get her to lower her guard, here he was, the beast himself, up and raging. The fear of being eaten when she was a mouse would perhaps be less likely in her current form, but it was still there. "HELP!" she managed to yell before the other's lips closed over her own. For a moment, she relaxed, the touch of his mouth a new sensation she liked on the physical level, on that primitive level she'd been depriving ever since her reincarnation. The weight of the male on top of her, his heat, his want, caused the former lust to consume her entire body, and it was all she could do to remember who she was, pushing weakly against his chest, resisting but not very strongly. "We shouldn't..." she panted, her monotone once again dissolving, but her fright of sin and the unknown very apparent in her voice.

The kami could hardly suppress a squeak at the sensations arising from the contact of the other, but the fact that she enjoyed it! Such drove her to greater extremes of fright. Did he intend to take her without her clear consent, knowing how such a thing would conflict with her values? Of course he didn't care, he was a devil. The hellfire he emitted, the soothing effect his body had on hers, well, she was trying very hard not to reciprocate other than the moans of fright and continued protests of him touching those sacred, untouched areas of her with his lust.
But ultimately, she decided it would be hers to resist and to resist with all of her might. At least she'd be able to say she tried. Squirming, her hips attempting to avoid his in a movement that would likely make things worse, she gathered all of her willpower and shoved the oni off, her breaths coming hard and ragged as she whispered, "I won't let you."

She looked at him an unusual way when he inquired as to the cause of the rejection, her expression holding a certain amount of loathing that for the moment overrode her permanently fearful, timid expression. "Why do you want me?" she'd ask quietly.
But then, as he calmed down, she realized that he had won a small battle in a way. If she asked herself honestly, she did want him. He hadn't come to take her, her curiosity had lead her to explore his body in her smaller form and now in her larger form. She'd wanted to feel that warmth again, to let him use her body, to taint her with his evil. Even now she couldn't say she wouldn't mind him pushing her into the concrete once more, his muscular frame pushing against hers, his weight on her back, covering her mouth with a kiss and a growl.
Thus, the mouse spirit's face became overcome with despair, noting the devil still above her, unshaken in his purpose having shaken hers. Sinking to the asphalt, a tear slid down her face, followed soon by a flood as she sobbed softly into her coat sleeves, attempting to cover her sorrow with her hair and her hood.

The last part of the speech had been drowned out by her sobbing, and when he went to wipe away the tear, their eyes met. Those eyes! They'd been the cause of all this trouble, all because they drew her as a moth to the flame. Surely this wasn't her fault, the blame didn't rest on her.
But if the crime wasn't hers, that meant it was the onis, a thought that made her uncomfortable. Condemning others seemed a slippery slope that would lead her to becoming a hypocrite. Then again, wasn't she already a hypocrite? She came down here to help others escape the sins of this world, all the while she couldn't resist one little onikonjou. Relax would be the last thing she did, instead shuddering at his touch as though he were death himself, retreating slightly from his hand.

Yes, she'd kill him in his sleep...

The kami blinked, realizing the nature of the thought that just ran through her head. She'd never considered killing someone before. The thought seemed to come from such a long distance away, arising from her current despair and dilemma and some darker voice. She could hardly know that sinning in thought had awaken for a moment her old personality, the one known as the Scourge.
But the awakening was only temporary and left her with what seemed like an argument that had a great deal of sense in it. Why flee from temptation? She came here to conquer sin, not hide from it. So if this man was her sole temptation on Yochi, why not off him and have peace? Driven before the throne of Bleaus, he'd surely have to assume another form, likely a less tempting one and she would've conquered her own darkness. Living with the man seemed the easiest way to get him in such a manner.
One wouldn't have guessed all of these thoughts going through the woman's mind, as her face gradually returned to its default timid smile. "How close to you would I have to sleep? I mean, does your abode have separate rooms?"*

"Oh..." the woman murmured, the disappointment apparent in her voice as she looked towards the ground she still lay on. He need not be so friendly, she still wanted to kill him, but it appeared there would have to be an outright confrontation. She was okay with that, somehow. She would learn the magix she was lacking. Even now, he was physically weaker than her. If she had sharper teeth or claws she'd probably be able to bite or scratch him to death. Surely she'd be able to destroy him with a little training.
Then again, it would take more effort to simply put him from her mind. Since he seemed to want to stay out of her way, as long as he wasn't burning things, she could let him continue down his merry way to hell. Smiling faintly, she found herself brought back to her senses. The easiest solution presented itself, and she was prepared to give it a shot.
He had fun? Pah. "I didn't..." she said evenly to the retreating oni, for the moment simply sitting on the sidewalk, watching him walk out of her life.*
