“What is this I feel; the light is so bright an warm.” A baby laid on top of a stone tablet crying, as the wind blew a hot quailing cry. The moon gazed upon the corpse of a young woman. Blood leading from her uterus the women laid there on the leafy ground, her skin pale as the moon it seemed as if she was dead for what seemed like awhile. As the baby cried its little lungs out a figure came from the shadows, the forest seemed to cover majority of the figures face. Electricity began to spark from the baby’s body as the figure walked closer but stopped as the figure drew near. The figure picked up the baby in a cloth and walled away saying only a few words. “Haruki Jishaku is your name and after you are trained you live only for yourself.” The figures voice was sweet and soft like an old women speaking to a young one.

Your skills at kendo have gotten better Haruki, have you been practicing at night. Haruki stood silent his small tender build moving slight with the wind. His right hand holding the wooden katana he began to swing down. The wind began to feel the slice from the wooden katana, as if the wooden sword was an actual sword. The woman that stood over him was old; her face gave it most away from the wrinkles placed upon her face. Her old hands gracefully
gliding towards Hunkies shoulder. Haruaki’s eyes left from the straight path it was in and diverted itself towards his left. His movements stopped, and he looked towards the old woman. His voice for a five year old was soft yet deep at the same time.” Yes, Grandmother” The woman looked towards Haruki with her sharp blue eyes and smiled.

The air seemed to be still as the pure white snow glided from the heaven down towards the earth leaving it white, the day was Sunday and studying never seemed so tedious until that moment. Haruki was a high school student in Metro City age 17 he stood at a height of 6'1″, his cream colored skin shined a bit off the lamp that was placed in the corner of a coffee shop that he was in. His light yellow eyes glided towards his left as his jet sunflower colored hair fell into place and moved a bit as his momentum shifted towards the direction his eyes were moving in. He was now gazing at the cafĂ© he was in, its warm embrace and its low amount of people made his body feel relaxed and calm in the environment it was in. “Would you like another coffee?” Haruki eyes glided to the right setting their gaze upon a slender woman with jet black hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. She wore a small black dress with stockings and she also wore a white shirt with a name tag symbolizing she worked at the establishment. “No, thank you” Haruki voice was deep yet calm, his voice resembled a person going out to a lake and just gazing at its beauty. Haruki watched as the girl bowed politely and walked away he then took his eyes off the women and gazed out towards the street where his car was. Haruki moved his body slowly towards his left, his body now facing the exit he began to walk a bit towards the door. His left hand went into his left pocket and pulled enough money for the coffee he had just drunk and a tip. He placed it on the counter and continued to walk completely out the door and into the land of white that surround his every being and soul. The snow fell upon his skin dissolving every time it landed on him. His jacket kept him warm, as he took his right hand which held his keys and glided it upward towards the car door. However, before he could make contact with the key hole a sudden collision made him drop his keys into the deep snow. Haruki lifted his head and sighed as air escaped his mouth making a fog appear. He had turned around and watched as a little girl had bumped into him and began running again. Haruki wanted to say something however; words could not leave his mouth after he saw what passed in front of him. The figure that passed by his body stood at least 10 feet tall and had four arms, it ran as if it was enraged by something or someone and it wore a mask that made it look even more frightening than its misshaped body. It stopped at the corner of the block and made a horrible screeching noise, which pierced Haruki's ears. As the noise filled his ears, his left hand went to his ear covering it to block the noise as his right hand was placed on his car. Everything began to get fuzzy. He noticed that everyone around him wasn't affected by this but him. The women from the coffee shop came to his aid, as now he was on one knee in the snow. The image began to get fuzzy as if static was interfering with the image, and electricity began emit a bit from his build. Haruki awoke; the wind passed through his hair and slightly began to move it. Each strand of hair danced in front of his eyes, as he gazed into the sky. His katana, laid beside him as he sat up slowly looking towards the city of Metro. His burgundy colored katana glimmered a bit in the sun, as its presence made it self known by beating its warm rays upon his body through the giant tree above him. Haruki spoke gently “Why do I always have that dream? I wonder what it means? Relying on others opinions makes the situation more difficult to understand, because no one is there. However, one thing I know for sure I am different from this world, Grandmother knew that.” His voice was deep and relaxing as he stood up slowly gazing at his apartment, as he placed his index finger up upon his nose. Haruki picked up his weapon placed it into his sheath and began walking as the wind blew past him.
