The Cove

Here she was again riding to the cove. There was a lot of riding that she had to do and she didn't know if there was any time to waste, but she was gone for quite sometime as the cove that she was to head to was by far not close at all fro Lake Utopia. Mystic Elder Ertnihs, after Seijin had pleaded her case to the Elder, told her to head here. She didn't question the Mystic Elder though as she knew he must have had a reason for her to head here. So she headed here without a fight or question as t why. She was to head to the portal, but she wasn't told to go into the portal, just to head over there. The reason's would be revealed upon her arrival.

She sighed softly the heat of the sun burning down upon her. "Oh Epona, it's so hot..." The horse shifted her eyes back and responded. "We should gallop for the wind to cool you down." Seijin had come to realize that the symbol upon her tongue allowed her to speak to other creatures that weren't human, and those of certain intelligence levels and Epona had just so happened to have been an animal of great intelligence. She smiled softly and nodded. "Thank you, I certainly hope it's not a bother to you." The horse began to gallop as they were galloping now to get the wind to cool down the both of them. "It's not a bother, you take good care of me Seijin. So I shall watch out for you." A true bond of friendship between these two, a bond between a human and an animal. Caring and loving like true friends share.

The cove was up ahead, they had been gone for a few days riding, taking a break, camping for the night, and bathing and near by lakes, when able to as they headed for the cove.

The Cove

Location: Cove (Past Realm)

When Seijin gets to the Cove, nothing happens for a while. She has plenty of time to explore around it without anything really happening. After a while, something starts glowing on the land between the cove and the sea. The glow's bright enough to catch her attention from anywhere around the cove. It looks like it might be in the shape of a person but it's too bright to see. The light calls her to it. It's not verbal or anything, but it's like... drawing. Kind of like how a bug is attracted to a bug zapper.

Seijin had finally arrived to the cove as she looked around. At the moment she saw that nothing was going on, it looked like a simple and regular cove with nothing real special to it. She did notice the area where the portal was at, merely seeing it's opaque ripples, but she avoided entering it as she moved away from it with Epona. She had gotten off the horse and stood next to her. "It's quite a lovely place don't you think?" She asked the horse who replied to her with a yes, of course though if there was other regular humans in the area and they heard her, she would have been speaking horse instead of shin-glish. Though that didn't concern her how others thought of her, but merely what had grasped her attention was light that was glowing on the land between the cove and the sea. She blinked a few times and stared at it, her eyes squinting as she lifted her hand to cover her eyes some as to try and shade the light from completely blinding her.

"W-what is that?" Seijin said to herself, Epona merely began to move back and lift up on her hind legs a moment. "Seijin we should depart." Seijin looked to Epona and she gave a smile. "No, it's okay Epona. We were sent here for a reason, this might just be it." Epona was worried and Seijin could tell, Seijin looked back towards the light and had received that feeling, that drawing feeling. Slowly her steps began to take her foreword toward's that light, though her steps were moving quite slowly.

When she gets close to the glowing light she can notice its in the form of Merkus. It's an elderly man with flowing white hair but his body is not physical, it's purely spiritual. He shines all golden-like in gold robes with his staff but he's hard to look at directly due to being so shiny. He holds a scroll in his hand and hands it over to Seijin. He doesn't say anything. If she looked at the scroll, she'd notice that it's written in an illegible ancient language. It wouldn't give any clues right away and it'd also have a spell on it that would take a high level priest to clear. Merkus speaks in Seijin's mind:

"Welcome Seer. My time is short here. Take this to the high priest, he will know what to do."

The shine was too bright to see into it directly too which her hand was used for coverage because the brightness of it all was burning at the light receptors in her eyes. Though she knew it was someone there, but she couldn't exactly see who this person was, but this sensation was a familiar feeling she has felt many times in the temple when she prayed. Though she was able to look down upon his feet since it wasn't that bright down there, but she noticed that she was able to see through it, aside from the light.

A scroll was given to her by this person and she took it without question as she did to be honest fell towards curiousity too look at it but she wasn't able to read it, she closed it and attempted to look at the person again, but damn that brightness. Though she heard the voice and she blinked feeling this warm sensation through her body. She held the scroll tight to her chest as she nodded her head and bowed. "I will get this too him."

Merkus smiles and his body starts to break apart. Spirit particles scatter in all direction. The spirit particles float up and fade away and the cove returns to nothingness. Everything is clear. The scroll glows in her hand due to the spell on it.

She couldn't understand it but she felt sadness in that moment when he was disappearing. Why did she fell this sadness, she even felt a tear or two slide down her cheeks. "Was that..." she uttered to herself as she held a suspicion to who it was. Though she turned away after the glowing of the area had stopped, she looked to the scroll which was still glowing in her hands as she knew what she had to do next. "Epona! It's time for us to go home."

Epona came over. "Seijin, do you think that was..." Seijin got onto Epona's back. "Maybe... let's just go, no time to waste." She stated as she held tight to the scroll and from there her and Epona took off from the Cove heading for their new destination, Saichuushigai, Temple of Light.
