My earliest memories are of the orphanage. That single word pretty much describes my whole life. I don't remember a mom or dad before that like I said just the orphanage. There a kind nun by the name of Sister Karin raised me and my "siblings." She was a dear soul but hard as she try she could not get the other kids to like me. They always felt something was different about me. People always have really and I'm sure Sister Karin did too but she gave me the benefit of the the doubt which only a handful of people ever have. Anyways... as I was saying I didn't really have many friends in the orphanage so it didn't pain me to watch them all leave with their new families. More so it hurt that I never found a family. Once I was old enough Sister got me a job at a local factory. Simple job really but it gave me confidence and taught me good work ethic. My lack of friends and hobbies eventually paid off as I moved up the chain of command at work and was transferred to a different factory far away from the orphanage. I felt bad for leaving Sister Karin as she was my only family and friend. She was so proud of me! Then life went south. Do to a poor economy my factory branch was shut down and I lost my job. I returned to the orphanage to seek help from Sister Karin to discover the orphanage had burned down with everyone inside. Devastated I took to drinking and bar fights which at least earned me a jail cell where I got food and a bed. Eventually I moved as far as possible and tried to move on. This is what brings me to the present. I work maintenance during the day and drink and research my past by night. I just know there's more to me than this. This couldn't have been my destiny.
