Red District | Dinner and Opportunity (Kuna-kun & Armant, Open)

Kuna kept an unsurprised face at suddenly being teleported. "Can't say I expected that." The blond said as he slid a hand through his hair and looked around, and it immediately became clear that they were in the seedier parts of Sai city. He scanned their immediate surroundings, but he couldn't identify any immediate trouble save for the looks that Armant was going to get from wearing archaic armor and having a sword strapped too his waist. "Red light district I guess this must also be part of our bonding ritual?" He asked in a sarcastic manner as he slipped his hands into the opposite sides of kimono and waited to see what they were going to do next.

The all too familiar column of light fades and Armant finds himself looking at buildings from the present. "Im back!" He thinks to himself. Armant does a quick spin to check his surroundings. "Ahh the nice part of town" his voice full of sarcasm. Then he noticed the looks he was getting from two skateboarders across the street. "Great... as if I didnt have a hard enough time with people as it is..." Armant says looking down at his clothing. "Well atleast it trully will be a decent meal. I have been missing the food from this time." Armant adjusts his gaze to Izuya who seemed to be playing with his phone. "So where to?"

“Yup yup,” Izuya chirp happily in answering Kuna before answering Armant, “just follow me.” Among the possible reactions Armand and Kuna could have to one another Izuya was pleased that they seemed to get along together. The spirit leads the way into the main street of the semi crowded red light district. After walking about half a block, they comes to a multi tiered building that housed a restaurant within it. From the front door, the place looked nice as it attempted to bring a bit of class to one of the only financially lucrative real estate markets of the Lower Commons. An awning would ceil over the carpeted entrance to the restaurant’s large red door. In front of the bold door, there would be a bald male in a white shirt and black suit standing at a podium on one side and another male, probably a seater, positioned to the other side. The male at the podium would notice Izuya’s arrival and seem prompted to look down at the list and ‘luckily’ guess as he looks back up, “Izuya-sama?” With a smirk and a nod, Izuya informed the male he had the right person. They are motioned to follow the other suited male who opens the large prominent door and leads the way into the interior of the restaurant.

After a brief walk through the interior, the three should find themselves seated in a circular booth with black leather seating and a glass table top adorned with an elaborate crystal floral center piece. Overall the interior of the restaurant would have a black, red, and diamond scheme to it with most of the people within well dressed. Like a sore thumb, Izuya and Kuna, in their traditional attire, and the soldier Armant, would stand out at one ‘hemisphere’ of the booth. Along the other side of the crescent booth would be three men obviously yakuza, dressed in casual suits with unbuttoned shirt collars, jewelry, rings, black hair with pony tails, with an obligatory attractive trophy-woman a piece. Izuya would smile contently, able to be here with his friends, in the presence of otherwise dangerous looking business partners; he chirps, “isn’t this great?” He hadn’t previously mentioned that they would be having a dinner meeting.

Well, it looked like the hook became quite clear, and it would be having dinner with the Yakuza. There wasn't the same urgency which he took it since his other stunt that Izuya had pulled, probably because it was not immediately life threatening for either Kuna or Armant. Kuna would give a smile to his companions and the other men that dressed in such manner. His intent was at the moment to study Izuya's companions trying to judge if they had weapons on their persons. "Aren't you going to introduce us too your companions Izuya?" He would ask with a sweep of his blue eyes over the Yakuza before he started names to them just so he could get them straight in his head.

The instant Armant spotted the yakuza he looks to Izuya "Always a catch." He jokes shaking his head slightly. "Oh well im starved and I plan on eating no matter what." As they sit down Armant tries judge whether he should be on guard or not. Next to him Kuna asks for their names and Armant agrees hoping to finally find something out about Izuyas personal life. Maybe this dinner would be their chance. IF only they could get a conversation going. Really though Armant decides he could care less as long as he got food and Izuya doesnt vanish leaving them with the tab. As he thinks this he looks to Izuya and says to himself. "Id kill him"

Izuya is all smiles during this process; the food had been ordered ahead of time by the party that was there, so courses were on the way the Yakuza members and their lovely escorts. Menus are brought for the three new comers in odd attire by a male waitress in a tuxedo who bows and offer to take their orders for both food and drink. Izuya’s gaze is down and into the menu as Kuna-kun speaks about introductions; the male to the left of the male in the middle speaks up stating, “yeah what’s with the twig and knight of the round? Don’t tell me these are your goons.” Izuya looks up and blinks before looking to the waiter stating that he would have the lobster and steak with a red wine before handing his menu to him. Looking back to the group of males, Izuya chuckles, “these are my business associates Alphonse and Edward. They are my most trusted associates, and very resourceful.” The male looks them over as he comments, “they don’t look all that useful… well, whatever. What information do you have on That Man’s movements in the Lower Commons?” In truth Izuya hadn’t even looked into the situation yet, but he bulls his way through stating cheerfully, “my sources are currently investigating him!” There is an awkward pause as if they are waiting for more information. The one in the middle leans forwards, “…and?...” Seeing the desert menu, Izuya’s eyes widen as he happily reaches forwards and takes it. “Arma… I mean Alphonse, tell him what we know so far, please… ooh… chocolate strawberry cake… yay.”

Kuna could only make a little shake of his head as he picked up the menu and looked through it while Izuya dodged questions. He was paying attention though at hearing the Yakuza wanting to know about somebody in particular, but just knowing that wouldn't get him anywhere. The high school student scanned down at the listed items and their prices, and he shared the hope with Armant that Izuya would not disappear leaving them with the tab...or angry yakuza for that matter.

Placing the menu down before him Armant opens the first flap and eyes the options. "What sounds delicious?" Even while he picked through the menu Armant kept raising an eye to Izuya and now and then the Yakuza that was asking the questions. Alphonse? Really? Armant thinks. He closes the menu and looks up to the waitress. "Yea I guess Ill take the BBQ Double Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of frenchfries and a large coke to wash it down with." As he orders he listens to the Yakuza question about a certain someone. He hand the menu back over and Izuya pins him with the Yakuzas next question. Armant glances to Izuya giving him a nasty glare. His mouth hidden from the Yakuza he mouths "Are you trying to get me killed?" He turns forwards again to look the Yakuza in the eyes and then looks down to the table in front of him. He lets out a sigh and begins to bullshit the yakuza. "Well Ive broken in to his car and left a bug and a tracker. My partner, Edward, over here did likewise with his home." Armant nods his head towards Kuna. If he was getting drug into this so was Kuna. They stood a better chance together. "Right now we are analyzing all the info we are recieving and figuring out this persons routine so we may find what you are looking for" As he finishes he looks to Izuya as if it was his turn to speak again. In the back of his mind he was hoping the Yakuza would buy it.

As Armant looks to Izuya, he would be greeted by a closed eyed smile of extreme delight before the spirit would return his attention to the desert menu. Noting that the waiter still standing about and looking to Kuna, Izuya would glance over to Kuna and speak, “do you know what you would like, Pookie?” While this is going on, the Yakuza are looking very intensely at Armant as they listen to the explanation of events that he was giving. “I don’t buy that for crap,” the one on the left speaks, “I don’t think that guy would be as careless as to let some armored knight bug his car.” Izuya chirps offhandedly, “he takes the armor off to bathe.” Ignoring Izuya, the Yakuza male on the right says, “if they say they got to analyze it, that means they already have the information, dummy.” The male in the center seemed more concerned about a turnaround time. He questions Armant straightforward, “so Alphonse, what’s the time table we’re looking at here? A few hours? A few days? Be straight with me. This is a pretty serious matter we’re dealing with, you know?”

The highschool student liked taking the time to make up his mind. "I'll have the risotto." He would say folding the menu and handing it back too the waiter, who could then depart. Kuna would give Izuya the evil eye at calling him pookie, but he wasn't going to do anything at this juncture. It seemed as if Armant had things under control, which let Kuna fold his hands underneath the table and listen too the response that Armant would give too their Yakuza table mates.

Armant is slightly annoyed by the Yakuzas comment about calling him a liar but then again it was a lie. He fidgits with the hilt of his sword under the table before he continues. "Well if you must know I am wearing this armor for a play your target went to see and I needed a cover. Now as far as the timeline that all depends on what exactly youre looking for. You see my boss here, Izuya likes to keep us in the dark and Im not sure what im even looking for so were just supplying info to him to analyze. So unless you shed some light Izuya is teh man youll have to get with about deadlines." As he finishes his bullshiting the waitress is back with their drinks. As she distributes them out Armant sips on his and sits back a bit. He was quite pleased with himself. He had found a way to dig up some stuff on Izuya and it was all Izuyas doing. He smiled just ever so slightly knowing he had turned one of Izuyas pranks back on him. Unless he had taken his lies to far. Hopefully their target would be the type to go to plays.

After Armant’s words, there is a dramatic and distracting gasp inhaled from Izuya before he would ask, “risotto?...” Glancing back to those in the conversation, he would notices the eyes of the Yakuza on him as he smiles and comments, “2 days and the information will be readily available. What you do with it will be up to you.” The waiter bows after having taken the order and then walks off to have the dishes prepared. A server passes the waiter on his way to the table and comes with steaming dishes of steaks, rice and vegetables for the Yakuza members. The ladies seemed to prefer seafood as their meals. The server sets up a stand to the side of the table, which he sits the main tray and then sits the dishes in front of each business associate and escort before filling their glasses, bowing and making his leave. The company begins eating save for the male in the center who comments, “2 days is doable, I just don’t trust him. We can’t do business with a guy like that, but he’s already got a security force in place. This information will be good for when we make our move. Do you think you can plant someone on the inside?” They seemed to buy Armant’s explanation. With a nod, Izuya smiles and motions towards Kuna as he comments, “Edward here is very good at getting in deep undercover.” There would be only a slightly sexual undertone to his words, “we’ll see about that.” Mentally, he would connect a conversation between himself, Armant and Kuna, stating, “Kuna-kun, I may need you to dress up that ‘special’ way again! Armant, how is this for filling my promise? Don’t worry about anything, the Yakuza are paying for this dinner; they have stock in the restaurant.”

As Izuyas words invade his mind he glances over to Izuya. He was bummed. He really hoped the yakuza would slip some info to go on. "So you can invade my thoughts." Armant says internally "I had been wondering. As far as the dinner goes yes I was a well kept promise just didnt realize I would have to do your work to eat. So any chance youll let us in on the situation? Now that you drug me into it and all." He takes another drink from his glass, savoring the taste for a bit. Exactly what he needed. Good old coke from the present. "While you're in my head I would like to know... Did you see her? This Artemis that haunts my thoughts?" He arches a eye brow to further imply the question.

Kuna was barely paying attention to the conversation, but he could pick up the general mood of the Yakuza. His ears immediately heard what Izuya said next, and he would only give a smile towards Izuya. "Infiltration and disguise are a specialty, who do you think picked out the perfect time and disguises to plant those bugs." Kuna would say calmly as he reached in and picked up his glass of water and took a small sip. *Izuya mention that again, and I will skewer you.* He thought into his head while gauging the other reactions of the Yakuza.

There is a mental gasp that comes from Izuya due to Armant’s mental accusation. “Don’t be silly, I can’t read your thoughts, I can only talk to you and hear back what you have to say.” In reaction to Kuna’s words, he asks, “So it’s that easy to get you to penetrate me, point taken.” Returning to Armant’s original query, he allows the planted knowledge of, “there are new corporations growing in the lower commons that is taking over territory controlled by the Yakuza. Both corporations speak about cleaning up the Lower Commons. These gentlemen are among the populace that would like the Lower Commons to remain dingy. They came to me for the process of gathering information for them instead of involving one of their units.”

The members of the opposing party eat while they taking Izuya’s words. The male in the center confirms, “Fine, then we will look forward to 2 days from now. I trust the information you bring us will be worth our agreement.” Izuya smiles and chirps, “of course it will be. I’m delighted to do my part to help you.” The male on the left drinks before answering, “But for a price...” Izuya responds quickly, “of course!” There is general small talk back and forth between Izuya and the yakuza members until the food is brought out for him and his guests. After it is brought, the Yakuza lead advises for them to enjoy their meal and work on finishing their own courses. Afterwards, when the Yakuza members were finished with their food, they would wrap up the meeting and pay the tab on the table. They would assure Izuya that they would meet in the usual spot for the transfer between information and money before leaving with their lady friends. Izuya wouldn’t be completely finished with his meal by the time they left; he would recline in his chair with his wine in his hand and a satisfied visage, enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant. With a sigh, he comments, “well, I’ve held up my end, we’ve enjoyed a wonderful dinner. I suppose you both are free to enjoy the rest of your evening.” Looking to Kuna he inquires, “unless you’re sleeping over again tonight?” The ‘again’ would be misleading.

Armant was quite suprised to hear Izuya actually give up some information to his two companions. "Hmm so these fellows dont want their reign over this area of Sai city to come to an end then. Understandable. So I see you are an informant yet you withhold information when ever I ask... What is paying for it the only way youll share any background on your end?" He looks down to the big burger infront of him and the steam rising from his fresh french fries. Armants mouth begins to water. "Are you so sure? Back in the forest Artemis told me the answer I seek is in the past and at the mention of past you said something like 'Past!?' and then my ass ended up in the middle of a war. I do think you know something about this woman." As he waits for Izuyas reply his grabs a handful of fries and crams them into his mouth. "Oh yea this is what I'm talking about" His voice all muffled from the mouthfull of food. "Oh and what do you mean 'Again'?" This time he adresses Izuya last statement

He kept a calm look, but he was surprised that the spirit would offer information up like this. It pointed towards something, but he would look into it later. Kuna was more absorbed into his food when it finally arrived. He picked up fork and started picking through it too judge if the risotto was cooked properly. *Looks good enough.* He thought to himself as he took the first bite and let the flavor play in his mouth before chewing and swallowing it. "He means that it was one of his 'male bonding experiences'. I am sure he intended to have some with you when he threw you into the past same as me. He is a predator like like that." Kuna said interjecting into the conversation before Izuya could speak.

Izuya teases Armant as he speaks, “you’re asking a lot of me. I guess you have been paying in your own little way. Now’s not the time to talk about such things, just enjoy your food. We’ve got plenty of time to talk about Arterio or whoever; I may have some way of helping you with the information you’re seeking. Oddly enough, I just remembered a favor I was going to ask you as well; but like I said, we’ll get into all of that a little bit later.” While speaking, he casually picks up his fork and knife before pressing down into the lobster with the fork to pull out the soft meat within. “Plus,” he comments, “you both are my comrades. It’s fine to let you in on a few things, ne?” Making sure there were no misunderstandings, Izuya clarifies, “Armant’s not my type, and he’s too tough and rugged. He wouldn’t look right in a maid’s costume at all…” Realizing that Armant hadn’t seen it Izumi turns excitedly remembering he could make a projected illusion of what he saw, “ne, Armant, you want to see something good?”

Armant ponders Izuyas admitance to witholding information about his own life and that he had dealing with enough crap to atleast be let in on something. "Izuya isnt as out there as he tends to put out afterall." he thinks to himself but then remembers Izuyas telepathy. "Shit... he probably heard every insult I ever thought about him." As Izuya mentions the favor Armants eyebrow perks up and he gets a little curious but he is shot down when Izuya says thats discussion for later. A bit put off he shrugs and turns his attention to his greasy burger just dripping with BBQ sauce. He picks up up and takes a huge bite out of it. "Mmmm!!!" He swallows his huge bite barely having chewed it. "Perfect!" with those words he instantly bites off two more mouthfulls. Stoping to take a breath, "Judging by all the inuendos between you and Kuna and your recent comment about dressing that 'special' way. Im no so sure I want to see what youre talking about." Having said what he needed to say Armant crams his mouth full with another handful of fries like a homeless person who hasnt eatin in a week.

Kuna was about to say something, but instead Armant interrupted. "I'd deny it, but that wouldn't do anything. I am going to say that its not what you think it is." Kuna would say giving an acidic glance towards Izuya, who would probably just ignore it. He did not really much care though as he turned his attention back towards the spirit. "Okay, so you teleported us back into the present, but I have a question. Its an important one too." He emphasized this by grabbing Izuya's jacket "You are not going to be dumping us into the past again are you?"

Izuya’s gaze lingers on Alphonse after asking the question; he seems thoroughly amused at the rate at which the young man was devouring his meal. “You got a little something…” Izuya would motion to the side of his lip with his finger as if BBQ sauce had gone there. Armant seemed to hit the nail on the head with his comment. Izuya decided not to implant the image of the sultry Kuna in maid cross-cosplay into Armant’s mind for now; well, not while he was eating at least. “Don’t choke,” he says in a fatherly tone before he noticed Kuna talking. He looks up to see the glance and the grab on his jacket. “Oh!” comes from the surprised Izuya as a column of light builds around Kuna, portaling him to the past realm, still holding Izuya’s coat, which was no longer on his body. Turning his attention from that to Armant, Izuya comments, “well, I’ll see you guys later. I’ll be in contact; feel free to keep your souvenirs and the dinner’s already been paid for.” He would wait for any response from Artmant, to which he may or may not respond. After that, with a sigh, he creates a portal returning Kuna to his seat, but by the time he arrived, Izuya would have vanished, making his departure.
