Working (Closed)

It was around that time, time to get ready for work. It was going to be intrusting, having to explain why I had this… "Thing" on my hand. I looked down at the metallic cat claws. In a weird way they had grown on me a bit. I looked into the mirror making some last minute adjustments before putting in my earrings and leaving the room. The stage lights were set and I could here one of the men announcing I was up next. Shadow had been awfully quite but I wasn’t about to ask him now if there was a reason for it. I took the stage and as the lights dimmed I began to sing. Nothing too fancy, it was a week day so not too many people were here. At lest not enough to put on anything more than a normal set for. After about three songs the lights went back to normal and I left the stage to help with the bar. Like I said not too many people but I think the manager liked it when I helped out. Of course my new hand jewelry became quite the conversation piece. As the night drew to a close the costomers slowly began to filter out. First the couples who better things to do. Then went the buisness men who had work in the morning. My midnight we only had two stragglers who seemed to drunk or stuburn to leave. But after some convincing they too were gone and it was up to the new bus boy to clean up. He was the last person I said goodbye to as I left for home.

I sat in the bar, another slow night only about ten people had chosen to stop in this night. I had already done my performance for the night had chosen to stick around to help once more. I was beginning to think I did more waitressing than entertaining. While I was busy serving drinks among other things a commotion started up in the far corner of the bar. A man was yelling something to one of our waiters. At first I thought nothing of it and went back to what I was doing. But through out the night the man continued to be a problem. Finally it was nearing closing and of course it was this man who refused to leave. He went on about how he had a right to one last drink. I thought this was very funny after all the commotion and stress he had caused he thought he was still in titled to another drink? But I also saw it as an opportunity. I walked to the man and tapped him on the shoulder just as our manager was about to call the police and complain. Using my girlish charm I managed to persuaded the man to leave with me out the back. Once out there I lead him down the alley and through another where I planned to finish him off. I moved in for a kiss and he smelt of beer and was not to cute but I had to get his blood. It was as if it sang to me from his veins. After a few kisses I moved to his neck and playfully nibbled his neck. He chuckled drunkenly that was until I bit him and sunk my claws into the other side of his neck. He early got a scream out before I had ripped his voice box from his neck blood gushing every where. The thrill sent a frenzy through my body and began to slash tear at his body to drink the warm red liquid within. It was a horrible mess when I was done and I simply threw the body into the dumpster.
I was a blood soaked mess when I had finished and quickly made my way to my car. Using an old jacket to clean off as much blood as I could. On the drive home I licked off the blood that was still on my claws. It was an amazing taste though I suppose to a human it was less than edible. Once home I washed up and went to bed.
The next night after I was done singing the manager informed me that there was a very important man at the bar that I should entertain. So I spent most of the night with him and his friends. He looked very rich but work never came up in our conversation so I wasn’t sure what he did for a living. Once he had left I began looking around the bar. Normal I stayed behind to waitress but to night I stayed to pick out a new meal. I wasn’t sure if it was wrong of me to think of people as meals but that’s what they had become. Besides I didn’t kill anyone who seemed to have a family or anything worth living for. It was always those last few stragglers at the end of the night. Those people who you could tell drank because it was all they had. So that’s how it began to work. I went to work sang, and stayed after to help clean up and pick out those worthless and unlucky souls that would become my next meal. There mostly drunken single men. One occasion a homeless man and one night when there was no one left I grabbed a stray dog. Of course by now, I had a clean up kit ready in my car so that on the off chance Claudia was home when I got there she would see me in blood soaked clothes.
