Setting up Shop

Shoveling a large spoonful of brightly colored circular cereal into my mouth I sat down on the step of the stairs leading up to my floor. Placing the large plastic bowl on the side of me on the metal stairs I reached into the depths of my jeans pulling my phone from my pocket sitting it on my lap. Looking at a minituar figure emerged from the screen and hovered in the air above it I picked the bowl up and continued eating. “ Yo Nikki” Nodding to the figure without saying anything due to my mouth being full. “ Man news on the streets is that aint nobody been running the streets in the Coms no more.” Wiping the milk from my mouth wiht the backside of my hand.” What happened to the new kids we had out there.” THE littel figure shrugged. Placing my hand over my mouth before clapping them together. “ Well tell the Brothers to see bout em” The figure nodded and vanished as the call was ended. Standing up leaving the bowl of milk on the steps I would make my way to my car.

Pulling into the alley way I would park my car and place a tarp over it so that none of the base heads would break in it for my music and other valuable. Tucking my pistol into the holster behind my back I pulled the black track jacket over my shoulders and walked out of the alley way.

My red eyes are hidden behind my wrap around sunglasses as I walk down the street. My body is clad in combat boots, blue jeans, a white t-shirt and my long black trench coat. Hidden within the coat is my gun. The Adorned Pearl known as Tsuki, a gift from my father and, my only weapon that I can carry with me. Around my neck is a rifle bullet set into a chain in a makeshift necklace. My short violet hair flails in the wind as I go. My hands are stuffed in my pockets and I can't help but smile at the thought of finally getting back to work. I'd taken some time off to get ready but now was the time to begin putting my plans into motion. I watch him step out of the alley and my hands come out of my pockets.

"Excuse me. Know any place where a girl can get a good drink?" I ask, my face remaining neutral.

Steppng out of the alley still a bit posses off that I had to leave east city to come to this dump to cover for a missing recruit. Looking up as I hear a voice asking where she could get a drink from. Looking up I saw the purple haired girl. She wasn't too attractive. I didn't have a great knowledge of this area, but I had heard about a place that shouldn't be to far. Nodding I motioned for her to follow me. Shoving my hands in my pocket I pulled out a tightly rolled blunt and placedit in my lips. I really shouldn't be taking a break, but it didn't matter cause I ran the operation. Looking to the girl I frowned " you got a light" figuring she didn't I shrugged and snapped my fingers a small tongue of fire engulfing the blunt.

When he asks for a light my hand slips into my jacket, reaching for my gun. If you're gonna do something might as well be in a flashy way. But seeing his blunt suddenly come to life. I release the grip I have on my weapon. Smirking I follow along, not really happy about this sort of display of power. I didn't like things I couldn't comprehend. And while I knew plenty about magic I didn't think it actually existed outside of parlor tricks. I don't ask questions as I go. If I were in trouble I had many ways of preventing things from happening to me, and my pistol was just one of them.

Not really caring about if the woman had been completely freaked out by my show of magic I continued walking at a bit of a quick pace so not to get caught up by locals looking for a bit of trouble. Since I was here escorting a woman that would be of no use to me in a fight. Looking back after my eyes caught sight of a neon sign that clearly was not being kept up since half of the letters where not glowing and the working half flickered constantly. "that's the place hope you know how to act miss"
