One Island Unified

The sky is dark yet clear with the only illumination coming from the gaze of the moon upon the island. The jungle surrounding us seems to be covered in a eerily quiet atmosphere. The outpost seems to be in a state of calm before the brewing storm to come. The civilians to be left behind share longing embraces with their loved ones who fill the ranks of my army. They are not to a point where they would know that this weakens them. If they are concerned about what they leave behind, it can poison their minds and their resolves giving root to fear and potential cowardice. The mercenary captains who I have called my brothers-in-arms before stand at the head of each sub unit. They are prepared for what is to come. No woman nor wench that they have laid with. No one comes near them as they steel their minds towards their missions and the grueling battle that is to come. Some of the older more "paternal" mercenaries walk thru the ranks and check the weapons and armor of the rookie soldiers in their units and give the quivering some words of encouragement.

As for myself, I am inside the command center putting on the final touches of the plan with Sanzon. He has proven to be extremely valuable in this whole ordeal and to be a worthy advisor. The High Commander of the Force (HC) is also in the command center with us as he will actually be giving the orders from the ground once the primary assault begins. The plan is simple. Sanzon & I will draw their attention to the north or south while the main force attacks from the two flanks. Once all of the units are in position and ready to march, one of the vice commanders walks into the command center to report.

"Lord Yaksa, the assault force is ready and assembled. Emis' transport left earlier during the evening. Toyo and Yoko are both underway with their raids on the bandit camps. Kali and her team has been dispatched to start subduing all known enemy spy networks. We need your blessing to march and the High Commander to lead us."

I turn to him and nod. "Everything has led to this battle." I turn my gaze to HC and Sanzon before asking, "Are you both ready to see this finished?"

I had kept the moonlight aglow inside my head while I floated towards the command center. The night had been restless, while I played through the many possible outcomes over and over. The possibilities were each ending the same way, with a total victory on our part. Floating through the sky had been my night, and I relaxed while thinking about it before his words brought me back to my senses. The night had been completely restless, while I anticipated the battle at hand. Maybe it was the thought of engaging in more of a medieval form of combat again that partly thrilled me, but whatever it was I knew I was enjoying myself. Brining my attention over to him, I slowly relaxed, lowering my feet to the ground before turning to face him and the high commander.
“Relax... today will be the beginning of the definition for “Flawless”....”
A deep breath would come from between my lips while I slowly ran my hand through my hair, sending strands of more than well kept hair out and to the sides. It had grown a bit wilder than I normally kept it since I had returned here, but it was well worth the hassle. With the breath finished, I looked to the high commander before bringing my gaze back to the other spirit.
“After you.”

Moving forward and out of the door I gaze up at the moon as it comes into view. Next my attention turns to the army gathered before me. Nodding my head to all of them, I address them, "Warriors of Mandira, the time is upon you. The time is now. We have battled with Wurin and his ilk for long enough. This island, Mandira, is our home. For too long has our home been splintered by squabbling warlords and bandits. Too long have you lived with the worry of whether tomorrow will ever come for you. Since my arrival, much has changed and you have learned that faith in your Yaksa will bring you freedom, glory, riches, and place worth defending. Tonight is the night that we remove all remaining obstacles to the Unification of Mandira. One island united under a Yaksa. Tonight, you become the glorious army that brought peace and unity to this land. For those, who wish to return to a normal, peaceful life of a farmer or merchant or miner or even a carpenter, serve me in one final battle and I will allow you to return to your craft. Before I can show such kindness, you must prove yourselves worthy. This is your opportunity for greatness! This is your moment, my warriors! Prepare yourselves for tonight, we obtain total victory! For Mandira!"

The warriors beat the swords or spears against their shields or for the dual wielders, clash their weapons together as their blood starts to boil and they prepare for battle. The High Commander speaks to them, "Shield Infantry, first up!" The shield grunts step forward and I begin harnessing energy to start moving units. Focusing heavily on the dark energies of the void, I create a massive column of dark light around each of the shield infantry units. Their captain call out for them to prepare themselves for a sensation and once each of them nod to me, I release the hold and the shield units are teleported first. I wait for a few minutes to let them gain their bearings and start to form up before the High Commander calls for the next units, "Spear Foot, forward! Heavy Sword, forward! Dual Blades, hold! Taurus Legion, hold!" The Taurus Legion is the High Commander's personal unit. Armored, elite troops who elect to dual wield axes and maces and clubs instead of shields. They are the shock troops of this force.

I turn to Sanzon and speak, "Fly on ahead, Sanzon. Oversee things until the commander and I arrive. Make sure, no one moves before they are told, if you would and get an idea of how Wurin's camp right now. Try not to let them see you yet tho." I smirk at him as I prepare to teleport the next wave of units.

Moving outside, I was able to lay eyes on what had been assembling when I had arrived. A yawn came from my lips while I was now fully awake and alert. It was an impressive, albeit archaic, military. Many scholars of the future would consider this nothing more than a village militia, not even an army. I was curious to how they would fare when put against their enemy in a few short hours. I would look past them and at the moon, taking notes of his speech. His words were enough to rally them into excitement, which I ignored. I had spent many years watching the humans, and had heard the same thing from all of them. These battle cries were the lullabies of those who would not return to their loved ones. Spreading away from him, I watched as the beginning of the movement started. The plan had been simple, and would give a huge advantage to the military presence while minimizing casualties on our side. With a smile on my face, I watched most of them gather their ranks and prepare for moving. With the first group now teleported, I took words from the other spirit.. go forth, that was easy enough for me to do.

Bending my knees, my weight would shift through the finely kept muscles in my legs before my image flickered from view like a demon of speed. I would reappear for a moment high above them before doing the same again, towards the south. At full speed, my body would cruise across the skyline. The island was only a few miles across, so the flight would be rather peaceful while I progressed towards my destination. The moon was lower than I had wanted it to be, and I could have really gone for more time to admire its beauty. The night was still dark, even though I had light. Closing my eyes for a moment, my attention snapped to what seemed like a set of horses, moving through the tree line in a strange pattern. With my gaze focused on them,, I lowered myself slowly across the branches and observed for a few moments. It was just my luck to come across a village patrol at this hour. I guess the time had been given correctly, and they had paid heed to my words. Shaking my head, I would drop directly between them, with my body glowing a light blue. Upon planting my feet on the ground, my body folded, striking the ground. A light crackle of lightning would erupt, causing the horses to freeze and harden, and their riders to spasm from the electricity. The four biological entities would fall to the ground, where I would quickly, and quietly dispatch of their lives. Wiping my hands clean of them, my body would fly upwards again, and ascend high into the sky to take a look at the Wurin’s camp. It was lit up on each side, with a center row of flames glowing vividly even from here. It seemed to me like they weren’t taking anything lightly. From here I could see the location where the troops would be stationed.. time to get this show on the road.

Three more void portals open around Wurin's encampment. There is movement around the camp before I come into view at Wurin's camp. I elect to work on enhancing my speed over these sorts of distances. I need to get faster after all. I can't always depend on the void after all. Appearing over the village, the High Commander would use this distraction as the opportunity to prepare the army to attack and to start eliminating perimeter guard patrols and scouts. My presence would normally sound the alarm, so I decide to do my part and help keep that from happening. Three crescent shaped blades of spiritual energy erupt from each of my hands directed at the north and south towers. Mere moments after, a wave of them would continue to flow from me at the guard towers to provide a different sort of signal. Fire! A small appears on my face as I reach out telepathically to send out a "haunting" little broadcast message.

"I have left you alive for long enough now. It is now time that you pay for all of your previous transgressions. I think you will enjoy seeing the ones who will actually carry out your executions. I'm coming for you, so don't bother hiding. Ha ha ha ha!"

I reach out to feel for the thoughts of Wurin and the Grey Whisper. I know they are around here somewhere. Archers look up at me and take aim. I chuckle at the sight and when they fire, I vanish from sight only to appear about 15 feet away from where I was. I am actually quite amused by their attempt. With a smirk on my face, I reply, "My turn." Drawing energy around me, the winds start to build up around me at greater speeds before, I decide that darkness would be better at night. I push it forward also using my wind ring at the same time for a little something extra as I attempt to extinguish or knock over the fire pits and torches.

If the fires are extinguished, the High Commander would order the archers to begin their volleys inside the encampment as the ground troops begin their approach towards the village. Within minutes, the attack would be underway and I would take a more spectator interest in this battle.

My own body would hover in the air a few meters above the tree line, steadily watching the other spirit begin his campaign in person. How interesting it was to see a leader on the front line. I had rarely ever seen the human government take part in their own battles in my time. What an interesting concept it was, for a leader to actually lead in person, where he could command and give morale to his troops. As for myself, my arms would cross while I floated there, watching the attack begin. The village would be showered with arrows, while ground troops began their gradual approach towards the village. When you looked at it, the advantage was his, and the carefully calculated combat had preceded as I expected. If they move out to greet them, the reserve units would crush them. With the chaos inside, it would only take a small unit to manage and oppress the inside of the now flaming village. Using this little bit of moment to my advantage, I decided to do something completely different.

The village didnt seem to be that large, and from my height, I could see both ends of it. Without waiting, my body moved into the trees, heading across the inside of the tree line and around the side wall. As I moved away from the gates, my body slid down into the foliage before my back planted against the wall. Taking a deep breath, I slid to a seat, crossed my legs. My eyes would close, while my hands curled in front of me. With another slow breath, I would begin the process for testing this special ability at my maximum. I had yet to push it to its full extent, and I really wanted to get an idea of how strong it would be at that point.

High in the sky above me, a swirl of dark black clouds would begin to form...

Wurin's villagers move about to deal with the flames as his army tries to scramble to deal themselves from the arrows and prepare a defensive. I had told Sanzon that I wanted to see the potential of my army and I meant that, so I would not strike further. Instead, I would entertain myself and distract the enemy by dash about in the sky and moving around the soldiers on the ground. I would keep moving the flames around a bit. After all, the chaos erupts inside this village, the more entertaining everything is for me. Well, I did have one remaining set of targets...

My playful flight takes me by the village gates as I transform in mid flight into my bestial form. As my speed and agility improves in flight, I use the extra momentum to assist in ripping the gates off of their hinges telekinetically and hurling them at the barracks, command building, and temple. The north is covered in thick jungle providing natural defenses... usually. I stop as I notice a dark cloud forming up above in the night sky. I am unsure of whether or not this is Sanzon's power or if it is a power of the Grey Whisper. Its position currently poses no threat to my army, so I do nothing, but keep an eye on its growth and progress. My enhanced speed stops as I decide to take a quick breather. The arrows continue to rain into the village. The army would be entering the gates soon enough.

Wurin's forces begin to protect themselves from the arrows coming towards them by hiding under cover. They start to regroup and form up to receive the attack as their forces are still divided trying to put out the fires and prepare for attack.

I maintain my position, while my eyes stayed closed. Another deep breath came into my lungs, while I filtered the energy required for my ability. It was a long process to do this, and I knew that I would have to find a better way, since this would never be possible if within a combat zone. The sheer amount of concentration that this was taking was more than enough to make it exempt from my normal combat lineup. I knew that the other spirit would probably get testy with me for using something like this, but it was the only time that I would do so while here. In fact, it was a requirement that I used it here, for if I used it in my time, the division twelve would be up my ass so fast that I would have to do triple taxes for a decade. Stupid humans and their financial politics. That one human instantly came to mind, and he had been a pain in my neck even though we had slowly started working towards a similar goal.

Slowly, the large black cloud would swirl, while expanding to about a hundred and twenty feet in width. Within its center, small crackles of blue light would emanate with the sound of thunder. Without hesitating much, I pressed that energy through my body, while moving up and over the wall. I did the movements as quick as possible, twisting and flipping to make myself look as small as possible. Slowly, the storm would move a bit into the village, floating overtop of my position as it gained strength. As for me, my body would duck into a small corner and continue focusing on the gathering the energy I needed to bring this to full power. I was not sure what that spellcaster would be capable of, but I did know that i would not give her the opportunity to make a move against his army. At this point, the enemy may think of the other spirit as being responsible for this storm, as bad storms were usually a foreboding sign from the gods. Well, this one was a sign from me, and it said "Salute... go fuck yourself."

My mind first starts to reach out telepathically to the Commander, but I realize that he would not be able to change orders fast enough. I vanish and reappear numerous times before I hover over one of the gates and speak out telepathically to the Captains to hold their units until after the storm passed. Now the sky had been clear the entire time, but as they made their way to the gates and out of the jungle's canopy, they would see the dark cloud moving over the village. Suffice to say, they knew to hold their positions at the eastern gate. The southern gate was where most of the archers were and they were primarily focused on supporting the shield infantry that was basically barricading any chance of retreat. The western gate floods with sword and spear infantry. The southern "barricade" forms behind the High Commander and the Taurus Legion. Archers pin any opposition to provide easier entrance for the Taurus Legion. While all the attention is focused on the attacks from the southern and western gates as well as the storm from the east, the Khuna Apsara slip into the village from the northern jungle. Eka is at the head of the Sisterhood and they have a very specific mission in all of this.

Wurin's forces start to get the flames under control and I fight back the urge to use the winds to move and expand the flames. Instead, I sit down in mid air and just watch. I keep searching for the target but the Grey Whisper is probably channeling her energies to defend her mind against my scans. She has probably taught Wurin to do the same. Sanzon's storm might be just the thing I need to distract or alarm both of them so that I can locate them. Finally, the melee fighting has begun.

I smiled while cracking my knuckles. My arms would extend towards the ground before I arose to my feet. The breaths were slow and heavy while I funneled energy from my own self, straight through inner mind purification, out and into the sky above me. The storm above was a reflection of my own internal energy. Slowly, the storm would continue to expand until it was nearly sixty yards in each direction. The thunder would slowly begin to growl in a steadier groove, sending the booms through my head that reminded me of the thunders roar. My hope was that the stupid spell caster was close enough to be disrupted. A light crackle could be heard from above, and my eyes slowly raised to the heavens. The dark storm was gathering in magnitude, and it was already much bigger than the one I had demonstrated at the northern village. Inside me, I slowly began to gather energy for the final two pushes into it. That would probably be enough to get this thing up to full power. Slowly walking towards the more populated areas of the village, I ducked through a window and into a small hut. With all of the chaos outside, the contents of the huts insides were devoid of life. I took a seat on a bed, while relaxing and focusing on my breathing. It would be a while before I could funnel enough energy into it at one time and let it go. Maybe I could figure out how to make this thing form quicker one day. Then again, the single fact that I was going against the laws of nature were pretty sweet. Running my right hand through my hair, I wondered how the others were doing. I bet the other spirit was staying away from the storm this time around... A light chuckle departed my lips at the thought of him going around my storm to attack his target. After this was complete, I would head to the other tribe, and take care of my own part in this play of conquest.

Do, second in command of the Khuna Apsara, would be moving separate of her sisters. Her specialty is movement and martial arts, but more specifically for both, stealth. She makes her way thru the village undetected for the most part. Those who are able to notice her either think they are jumping at shadows and / or hallucinating or she dispatches them quick enough that they have no time to alert anyone. It is quite pleasing to watch her in action. She continues moving until she finds where her "target" is located. She would be silent and near invisible. Only someone with masterful sensing would notice her presence. She eyes her target and focuses her senses on monitoring the area. She opens her mind to me and remarks, "The package is secure, Yaksa." I respond telling her to ensure that the package remains so and to go where the package goes. I can feel her obedient acknowledgement of her orders before I turn my attention back to the fighting.

The storm while it still hasn't done anything yet does as I hoped and provides the distraction that was necessary. While the Grey Whisper is still evading my senses, Wurin's worry for his village amidst the attack and the ominous storm breaks his defenses for me. Fear... such a wonderful ally. I speak to Eka telepathically to tell her where Wurin is located. This is actually rather fun to just float up here and coordinate for my Khuna Apsara. I do not bother with the actual army as I am only concerned with observation and evaluation of their abilities and battle prowess. Currently, I see several things that will need to be improved once I have a permanent, standing army at my disposal. This is also separating those who are going to remain as my warriors and those who will be reassigned to serve the regime in more domestic capacities.

The archers stop firing. The Southern Barricade moves to block in the gate, while keeping enough distance so that they would not be caught by hot oil or stones being thrown from the currently vacant towers. On the western side, the offensive push is going well. My forces are gaining ground minute by minute as this assault continues. The fires have all but been suppressed. The temple and command HQ guards are still working to clear out the debris left by the gates being hurled into them. The barracks' guards are trying to rescue what brethren they can while trying to keep supporting the defense at the same time. This battle will be over far sooner than I had originally anticipated. I figure another two to three hours and this will be over.

My center burned with electricity while I gave it one more surge, pressing the energy up and out of my body. The transfer would be unnoticed, but the storm continued to grow because of it. The apex of the storm would be above me, while it stretched for eighty yards in every direction. My eyes slowly shut, while I had words cross my mind. Finally, I would be able to withhold this ability, and begin its destructive rain.
"Reise Reise..."
The door to the hut would swing open, revealing a man with archaic armor and a short spear looking device. With the door opened, the thunder now sounded much more crisp than before. His language was blotted out, since I was still concentrating on finishing my storm. Holding my breath for a moment, a pulse would erupt from body before a strong force blew everything in the room towards him. The force of the exert would knock him back out the door, while I took the time to fly through the window and back up to the roof. Stepping foot on it, i would be able to lay eyes on the other spirit in the distance, while I got to watch my storm grow firsthand. The stars were gone over a sizable portion of the village. As I moved, with each step the storm would creep forward, using the natural air currents to ride forward.

My arms would dig into my pockets, while I stood there on the edge of the roof. Floating an inch above it, I would keep my eyes on everything going on down there. At this rate, this would be over in a few minutes, and I would be able to take my leave for the other village. Slowly, my gaze would shift over to the other spirit in the distance. He looked like he would have been a pretty easy target to hit from the human standpoint, but they were unorganized, and tactically at a disadvantage. What a shame such a military should be wasted. . . Oh well.

Do feels a force building in the room and remains embedded in the shadows. As it builds to be noticeably stronger than she had expected, she is forced to slip out of the hut. Seeing the package escape as well, she uses acrobatic agility to land silently on the rear adjacent roof in a crouched position. Her eyes raise up to look at the storm before falling back down to watch her package.

Meanwhile, Eka splits the rest of the Khuna Apsara into two groups. The third ranking Sister, Malakina Tina, is given command of the first half and given orders to capture the first target. While she is doing this, Eka and her group make their way into the temple. This one is more personal for Eka. Eka is the strongest of my Khuna Apsara because of her being naturally touched by the spiritual world and the Grey Whisper knew that and still abandoned her to my fury. She was the first to feel my wrath and was broken viciously. Now, Eka is hunting for the Mystic.

The High Commander leads the Taurus Legion into the fray and with them now introduced into the mix, enemy blood starts to run much faster and heavier. The beauty about having mercenary friends is that their forces are trained killers and soldiers instead of tribal rabble. That storm is pretty damn big right about now. I look over at Sanzon before my gaze turns to the units being held back at the east gate. They are anxiously waiting to get into the fray, but I suppose this will be better for them as they will be a fresh wave of reinforcement troops to rush in and sweep thru the enemy ranks.

Now that the High Commander has a distinct and dominating advantage over this battle, he starts releasing units to sack the western half of the village. At the same time, the units that are still in combat are given orders to push the enemy forces to retreat and fall back towards the eastern half of the village moving them directly into the eye of the storm. Wurin's forces would be separated from my forces by a constant flow of wind that prevents them from being able to retreat west out of the cloud's range.

As for myself, my eyes turn to the southwest and to the Wattu. It was still a good three or four hours until dawn and that is when I told them that I would arrive. With this battle well under control, Sanzon would be leaving soon enough to try for his diplomacy. He is quite the interesting spirit.

Finally, my muscles tightened across my body, while my breathing momentarily ceased. With a light bit of strain, the last bit of energy required for this ability was released. Finally, the storm was at its peak capacity, and ready to raise hell. I smiled while the thunder increased in intensity, before it suddenly stopped. There would be a few moments of silence before lightning would rain from the skies. There would be little wind or rain, just solid bolts of thunder. It would rain down on everything within three hundred feet in each direction. I would float there in the center, perfectly at home while sparks crackled through the air, negating the abilities of any other spell caster that may have been in the area. Buildings would be set ablaze, and bodies stricken from the lightning. The storm would not discriminate, and everything within its grasp would be terrorized by its force. For anyone who knew me, they would see a rare smile, one of enjoyment, cross my face for a moment. I was rarely ever able to use such force without having to be careful. Here, I could stretch my abilities as I saw fit, without the repercussions of the division twelve.

For a moment, a light laugh would come from my lips while i remembered the joys of cruising across the heavenly outskirts, annihilating any spirit from hell that dared attempt to cross our borders. Looking over across the village, I would stay, allowing my storm to deal every bit of damage it could before i departed. For now, I would float at the center, enjoying the apex of the storm. Here, among the thunder and lightning, I was home...

And finally it arrived... I vanish from sight and appear next to Do who was about to be caught in the core of the storm since she was on the rooftop next to Sanzon. She looks at me and as I envelop her in my arms, we fade out of view as a lightning bolt strikes thru the roof where we were. My wings wrap her up like a cocoon. My body floats higher as the two of us take on an ethereal appearance. I watch as some of the front line troops of my army are caught in his attack and my eyes turn to him. While I did not like the fact that he had endangered some of my troops, I did enjoy the display. Quite destructive indeed. My primary problem with it though is the structural damage to the village. In this particular instance, I want Wurin's existence wiped from the face of the island, but in any other situation, it would require a waste of resources to rebuild. For the most part, my primary forces are safe, so it is of little consequence to me.

The Khuna Apsara make their way thru the guards quickly sweeping thru the halls and room by room. Female servants and children are the only ones that are kept alive and locked in holding rooms. All men are neutralized on sight. Guards are terminated quickly and with brutal efficiency. Tina leads the sweep as they quickly move up the floors. Once they make it to the top floor, they hold their position for a moment to regroup. The more cat like sisters are sent out the side windows to climb around or up onto the roof in order to drop in behind Wurin's guards who are undoubtedly watching the doors.

Eka leaves a bloody trail of bodies as she moves thru the temple. She calls out for them to bring her the Grey Whisper or all of their women and children will be slaughtered. The remaining guards are forced to desperately weigh their options on the matter. They had seen the Grey Whisper's occult powers, but this was their families that Eka was holding hostage. It doesn't take long before the Grey Whisper is betrayed and seized along with her maidens.

I held the storm, continuing to allow it ravage the village. My eyes would twist to the side for a moment, watching a flicker of the other spirit save one of his own before departing just as quickly. The lightning lit the night sky, covering the area in a light so much that many could have considered it daytime. The blue and yellow crackles of light highly pleased me. It was well worth the focus to unleash this level of ability. Unfortunately, without a clear sight on the night sky, I could not get a bearing of the time. Maybe some day I would be able to do this again. Slowly, a sigh would escape my lips as the storm began to disappear. It was about time for me to get out of here, and head to the other place. I had no idea where the other spirit was as of right now, but this was all his party. God speed.

With that said, my image would flicker from sight, blasting straight up and through the clouds. The night sky was still beautiful, and the cloud cover had blocked out the fires that were started from the lightning. The air was cooler, and I twisted and turned through it while heading northeast. I had an early date with the other tribe, and hopefully all of it would go well. Worst case scenario, I would have to fight them all on my own, which wasn't really a problem for me,. I would rather do it my way than have the other spirit senselessly murder every single person in the village. It had been one week, and as I approached from the south, my body would glow a light blue. It was definitely time for me to start clearing my head and worry about the task at hand...

With Sanzon taking his leave, I look at Do and tell her that her mission is not over. She nods to me and vanishes from my arms. I teleport her as far southwest as I can without putting her in the Wattu village. Once away from me, Do instantly reappears into view and she slips into the shadows and she makes her approach to enter the village undetected.

The storm starts to dissipate so I see no reason to finish dispelling it. Instead I continue to push the enemy soldiers into the blast radius using the strong force of the wind. I release the hold of the wind once the lightning bolts start and instead use my ice ring to try and put out some of the fires that were started. In addition, I start drawing elemental energy to me so that I can work at creating a remedy to the fire. I wonder if I can make it rain.

With the storm finally over, the now reserve unit from the east rushes into the village and the "battle" becomes a clean up effort. The High Commander issues orders to sack the village of everything of value. The prisoners are moved from the prison building out to the town square where everything would be gathered together for inspection. The High Commander sends his messengers to inform the unit captains to start sweeping thru the village to round up all of the villagers. He tells them to proceed with caution and report back any clusters of enemy troops. This battle was not over yet. Sanzon's attack had devastated a good cluster of about 100 yards in diameter range of the eastern side of the village would annihilated about 10% of the village, but there was still more to be done. As I relax in the sky, a messenger arrives from the northern bandit camp force. He reports that the bandit army has been suppressed and the prisoners are in the process of being transported here to await judgment. The loot from the bandit camp is being taken to the outpost. I nod and tell the messenger telepathically to bring them thru the southern gate and keep them there.

Tina and her team of Khuna Apsara remain in position while the four sister team slips onto the balcony and eliminates the guard on the balcony before entering behind everyone and attacking Wurin's guards quickly as the main guards remain focused on the door. By the time they hear the commotion, Wurin has been seized and a battle call from one of the felines is sounded allowing Tina and those still outside kick open the door and throw in a set of archaic versions of the ninja smoke bomb. With visibility vanishing, the sisters move thru the guards and kill them while making them also call each other. Wurin is seized and bound before he is brought out of the room as the last of his guards kill each other. As Tina brings him out onto the balcony for me to be able to see. I smile with pride at the sight and nod to her. Speaking telepathically to her. "Secure the rest of the building, Tina." She replies showing me mental images of it already being secured and my smile deepens. I nod to her and tell her to begin the interrogation of the prisoners and to find his family.

Inside the temple, Eka is brought face to face with the Grey Whisper. She looks her in the eye and sighs before slitting her throat and walking over to the acolytes with her. She walks thru them and stops at one of the calmer looking acolytes and smiles at her, "Did you forget that my sister was the original double for you? My Master is truly looking forward to seeing you again." Eka grabs her by the throat and thrusts a leather wrapped rod into the acolyte's stomach and it begins to wail as it connects. The Grey Whisper is forced to drop her illusion as she screams out in pain. She is seized by two of the other sisters and I appear inside the temple. Looking around at the guards, I look at them and the acolytes. I tell Eka, "Select the acolytes that are worthy to begin the Trials of Sisterhood." I wait for a moment while she inspects them and I stand before the Grey Whisper. "Hiding your thoughts from me was a nice touch, but as you can see, I am quite skilled at training my Khuna Apsara to hunt. Wurin has been captured as well. Make your peace with the Heavens as you shall be there there soon enough."

I twisted through the night air, enjoying the fresh scent of the jungle below. The night was beautiful, and my only thoughts were on the task at hand. Behind me, the sound of battle had faded, but in front of me was an entirely new task. Lightly, my body twisted around, beginning the descent towards the village gates. Their primary support was tied up to the north, leaving their entire village unable to heavily defend themselves. Taking sight of the front gate and walls that I had detonated last time I had visited, I planted my feet lightly outside and walked through the gates. I was early, so I didn’t really expect anyone to be up... Instead, I would simply wait in the center of the gates, and allow them the time that I had told them I would. Sharpening my focus, I decided against using that storm again, as it had required a decent amount of focus and concentration to begin, and I was not in the mood for doing that right now. On the other hand, I had an entire new arsenal of tricks up my sleeve that would be more than ready to handle this job. There wasn’t a single person in this little village who could get within twenty feet of me without being effected by my sparkling personality, and I meant that literally.
The deal was straight forward. Two hours before sunrise I would arrive, and any who wishes for safety under the spirits would simple need to bow before us, without hostility. All those who wished to fight would be allowed to defend themselves. After all, I wasn’t about to defend myself. On the other side, if they were to attack me, it would not go over so well for either side. I had ruined more than my fair share of suits, and really wanted to keep this last one in check.

~ Wattu Village ~

Her eyes opened at a familiar yet different feeling. Her young brother was next to her sleeping. He had awoken during the night like so many nights before and curled up into her for comfort and security. She felt the presence there and though her room's walls concealed her, she was looking directly at him. The blonde spirit. She sniffs the air and confirms it. Rising from her bed, she puts on her gown and cloak. Her brother stirs from his sleep and tugs at her leg. "Where are you going, Sister?" She lays him back down and tells him that she goes to ensure his safety and tells him to go back to sleep. One of her more domestic maids moves into the bed and serves as her substitute so that the boy can return to sleep. Her hair is slightly longer allowing him to still curl his fingers in her hair. The Chief's daughter slips out of her room and is accompanied by her female bodyguard and maiden. "The Yaksa have returned, haven't they?" She nods before she clarifies, "One of them has. The one who destroyed the gate with his lightning." The daughter tells her guards to get her brother to safety should things go wrong today and that she will find them. They nod to confirm their obedience to her wishes.

Outside in the village, the guards also notice him, but do not alarm the whole village. Instead they wake up the Chief first before they wake the Council, which includes his children. Slowly, the village starts to stir as well. Those who wake up early to start their jobs or travels notice the spirit at the northern gate and it startles them. Containment quickly becomes impossible. The village defense force is scrambled. The Council is trying to come to a consensus, but it is filled with bickering primarily between the two brothers. The Elder cares for power and insists that Wurin will defeat the Yaksa and help them if they remain loyal. The Second cares only for protecting their people and moving them to a new village off island since he has heard vivid accounts of the Yaksa's savagery. The Elder contests that they should not give up their homes and lands without a fight. The bickering continues.

Do feels Sanzon's presence and moves to continue her mission. Without sound or warning, she would seemingly just appear knelt next to him. She would be silent unless spoken to and would not move from her crouched position unless he moved. She is truly proving to be my ideal shadow.

~ Wurin's Village ~

With about three hours left til dawn, Tina begins Wurin's interrogation. While I cannot see the interrogation for myself right now, I am beginning to think that she spends a bit too much time with Do as her interrogation methods are quite brutal yet efficient. She has one of the servants acting as her scribe and recording Wurin's confessions.

The High Commander learns that there are more troops dug in in the northwest and northeast of the village. With the sheer numbers advantage that he possesses, he chooses to simply overrun them with a head on assault. Not the best decision, but it keeps them pinned down and unable to maneuver as my army attacks. It is basically like a swarm of ants rushing towards a piece of cake or ice cream.

Inside the temple, the Grey Whisper speaks, "Do your worst to me. It will not change the fact that we mortals can stand against the gods and be free of your oppression." I chuckle and remark, "You will not die right now. You are going to watch as your beloved acolytes are converted and you will serve as part of their training. I will watch as your own acolytes break you." Eka picks the candidates she feels could be worthy and I look them over. I point at two of them and sutra cards appear on their foreheads. Moments later, they explode and the two acolytes hit the ground. I look at one of the acolytes not selected. I walk up to her and grab a handful of her hair and take a deep whiff. "I thought so. You will be a very special project. I am told that the worst feeling in the world for a mortal parent is to lose their child. That is why you were so calm. You knew Eka would ignore her b/c she isn't attractive nor does she look fit enough to be of any use to me." I wave my hand in front of the acolyte and it reveals the Grey Whisper's own daughter.

Eka drops into a bow and apologizes for the error. I shake my head and tell her that she needs not apologize and that I will help her improve her senses to exceed those of a human. I move the daughter out of the way and I look into the Grey Whisper's eyes as my form glows and everyone left in the gathering are eradicated by the Divine Uprising power. The Grey Whisper struggles to get free to try and attack me and I chuckle at her. "How do you plan to hurt me, mortal, when you have no power?" A sutra card appears on her chest and starts to burn its way into her chest and I grin. The daughter begs me not to kill her mother. Eka thrusts the Leiga rod into the daughter's abdomen briefly causing her to scream out in pain.

I had leaned up against what looked to be an attempt to repair the damage I had done. With my arms crossed, my head was lowered with a light bow, while my eyes closed. My breathing was calm and even, as i regained the energy that had been spent on the storm. With the presence of another, I quickly bring my attention back to the living realm. I was pretty sure that I made it clear to the other that I would not need any of his power here. An open display like that would not only possibly startle the village, but it showed a lack of trust in myself. That severely displeased me. A light sigh would escape my lips before I pressed off the post, bringing my attention to the village. It seemed my presence here had alerted the village to the time.

"Your presence here is unnecessary... I can handle this entire ordeal on my own."

My words would be quick and concise before I began my walk into the village. They still had an hour left, so until then, I figured some breakfast would be good. There were nice smells coming from all over the place, and although they were mostly staying away from me, I did want to observe the people here before I passed judgement. My original offer would continue to stand. Anyone who bowed before us in peace would be spared. Those who intended to fight for their honor would receive divine punishment. I would prefer it if everyone stood down, and were safely transplanted to the mainland. That would actually make my purpose here much easier. Looking to my side, I would stop to see if the other was following me. She was a loyal and obedient human after all. Maybe her purpose here was just to recount what had happened while the other spirit was testing his military might. Either way, I could not guarantee her safety should a skirmish break out. . .

Do follows her orders and remains silent at his flank until she is noticed. When he speaks, the response is just as brief as his declaration, "The choice is not yours. I am here to observe and ensure the safety of my Master's packages." When he moves into the village, she fades back into the shadows and moves with him. Soon the sky would start to brighten as dawn approaches, but for now, she is able to move freely.

Inside the Command Hut, the Wattu Chief realizes that the discussion is going nowhere but in circles and turns to his daughter to inquire on her opinion. She looks at her father and bows respectfully before answering, "Father, the decision seems simple to me. Those who do not wish to serve the Yaksa should take the Lightning Yaksa's offer to relocate. Yes, this is our home, but the Heavens have decided to claim it and all of this island. Those who are willing to serve the Yaksa would remain here and continue on as we have. Brother, Wurin will fall to the Yaksa. He is but a mortal and his witch as well. The fact that the Lightning Yaksa is here should be proof enough of that. The Yaksa, Krodha, has eliminated all other opposition on the island, so what sense does it make to oppose him. I have heard of the good that he has done for his people and the rest of the island. What has Wurin done for us?" The middle brother stops his elder brother from trying to contest it. "Father, I support my sister's logic. I will take our people back to the mainland, Father. I am indifferent to the Yaksa, but you should remain with Sister to keep her safe. Brother, give up this futile fight. We have all heard of Krodha's wrath and rage. Do not anger the yaksa."

The Elder looks at his father and tells him that it is cowardice to quiver in fear and abandon our ally, Wurin. One of the advisors finally says what many are thinking, "My Lord, do you truly believe that Wurin is an ally or do you simply say such b/c you yourself have benefited so greatly from being in league with him?" The Elder brother rises and draws his sword. His sister holds a dagger at her brother's throat. "How dare you draw your sword in our father's meeting and at a member of the Council no less? You speak of cowardice, big brother, but how many charges have you led? How many battles have you spilled blood in? How many warriors have you killed? I am a woman and I have seen more of a battlefield than you." The middle brother steps in between the two siblings and lowers both blades. The middle brother speaks, "The decision is yours, brother. We cannot force you to live, but you will not condemn us all to die. A true leader would never do such a thing. Father, Council, please excuse me. I go to begin preparations." The Chief nods and some of the Council members follow the second son to make preparations to depart as well. "This gives us an opportunity to be free of either mortal or divine oppression. I see it as a blessing." The Chief nods and the daughter asks her father to make the announcement to the people so that they can decide for themselves. He nods and dismisses the Council and his eldest son. His daughter remains alone with him. She has a look of sadness on her face, "You are going to fight aren't you, Father?" He tells her that he must stand with his people whatever they decide. "I cannot decide before they do. (He sighs.) If only you had been born a son. Though you certainly have your mother's ferocity. That was quite amusing watching you draw against your own brother. If your brother and I both fall today, protect and help both of your brothers, dear Daughter. They will need your strength." The Chief rises and heads out to the town square to address the village.

The package. I assumed that she meant that girl that the other spirit was interested in. He had taken an interest in her for some reason that was unknown to me. Oh well. I thought in my head about the other battle. While my stomach lightly growled, I brought my attention up to the sky. Dawn was quickly approaching, and now that we had reached close to the two hour mark, I would gradually start making my way towards the center of the village. A light air of ferocity would surround me, while I kept my guard at the maximum. I had been up all night, was hungry, and that storm got me wired, so there would be no tolerance for anyone who messed with me this morning. My plans for later today would be simple. Food, bath girl, then sleep, preferably with bath girl. I stopped mid stride at the thought of that, before looking up and making an announcement.

"AYE NINJA GIRL!! Whats the name of that Bath house girl?!!!"

Slowly, my eyes would pan at the surrounding people, who had stopped to stare at me. My bad. I looked at them casually, concerned about nothing other than getting food. There was a light bit of charge moving through my body as I breathed in and out, using the base principles of the enlightenment of thunder and lightning to process the large amount of energy in my chest. At this point, I was prepared for anything they could throw at me. The combat high was still going, and I knew that without a shadow of a doubt I would kill first, ask later.

Do glances at him when he calls out to her. She emerges from a shadow to speak, "Is this really the... I suppose the rumors are true that you have taken a liking to Yoko, Lord Sanzon. My name is Do (Doe). They are gathering. Perhaps, they have made their decision already." Do fades back into the shadows and falls silent.

In the center of the village, the Wattu Chief takes the "stage" to address the gathered villagers. He stands before them with a truly somber look on his face. He begins, "My beloved people, the time has come. The Yaksa has returned for our answer as to whether we will submit, leave, or fight. The Council is torn on the decision and so I will leave the decision to you. My daughter and some of the elders have chosen to remain here on the island and serve the Yaksa. My younger sons will take all who wish to leave with them to the mainland as one of the Yaksa offered to do. Our scouts have yet to return to inform me of whether or not Wurin has fallen yet, but the Yaksa and his army has already defeated both of the bandit factions yesterday. I will not decide for you what to do, but my family will support and lead you no matter what you decide to do. The Council is quite sure of Wurin's pending defeat and as such, I tell you now, do not raise arms against the Yaksa. You have one hour to decide if you will stay her and serve the Yaksa or if you will go."

The Eldest Son sits atop his mount that looks similar to a Peco Peco with his personal force with him. "Do not bow before false gods! This is our land and Wurin will not fall to the false god! Wurin has remained our ally and protected us. He has the Grey Whisper and her sorcery to aid him against the Yaksa. It is time that we show the Yaksa that we rule this land and not them! Show them that we will not bow to their oppression! Fight the Yaksa! Father, cowardice will not be forgiven." The Eldest son looks at his "Champion" who is staring a hole thru Sanzon with his hand on a black and dark red katana hilt. The sword seems... different from the weapons of the others.

With Sanzon now close, the villagers are truly faced with their options. Families look amongst themselves to decide what to do.

"really now.. that a cute name.." My attention came forward as the other disappeared again. What a pesky little trick that was. Maybe one day I would figure out how she did it, even though it didnt really matter to me. After thinking about it, I already knew that I would never use an ability such as that. I stopped in the center, watching the entire ordeal. While I was rather happy that the elder human made a comment such as that, I was even more pleased at the prospect that this could end without bloodshed. Hopefully, this meeting could be taken care of, and I could get to the other bath house girl before lunch time. The crowd would keep their distance from me, while I locked eyes with the one now giving a rather absurd outburst. I was not in the mood for such idiocy, and had offered their entire people a path to salvation.. Then again, it wasn't a path, it was a boat ride.

A light sigh would part my lips while I exhaled. A single thought had come to me hours ago, that some human would defile the ideas of peace with their warmongering. That type of human would be, and must be dealt with immediately. Slowly, at first, my right arm would raise, while my fingers curled into a fist. A single finger, my index, would extend outwards.

"enlightenment of thunder and lightning... symphony."

A bright light would flash from the tip before a powerful bolt of lightning screamed across the area between us. The large blue bolt would crackle with energy, covering the area in its beautiful light before colliding with whatever it ended up hitting. I didnt want to startle anyone, or cause any more trouble, but the thought of having to fight more than necessary didn't sit well with me. It was best to take care of any rebellion here and now before planting the seeds of aggression later.

The Champion looks at Sanzon and as he points, there is a flash of light in front of the Champion and the wind would pick up in area around him as a blade of wind flies at the bolt of lightning (Perfect Bushido + Sonic Slash). There is no way a mere human should have been able to move that fast. The Elder Son smiles at the sight. So the contract was successful. The villagers begin to scatter out of the way. Even Do herself, who is still lingering in the shadows is quite surprised that the seemingly human bodyguard was able to stop that attack well before it reached striking distance. Upon closer observation, she notices that his skin seems to be much darker than is normal for this region. The Champion speaks, "A god brought to his knees." (Gravity - Pulldown).

The commotion causes villagers to flee and alert both the Daughter and the Middle Son. The Chief evades being caught in the crossfire between the attacks and rushes to get his people out of the paths of the attacks. The Chief rescues a child that is almost trampled as the villagers scramble. There are still villagers in the crossfire though.

I could feel the pressure of the gravity increasing, but the arrogance of the human would be for nothing. A god brought to his knees? What made him think that a mere human would be able to bring me to me knees. I would stay floating there, unable to fly while setting lightly onto the ground, while both of my arms came forward. Any human that was able to block my attack would not be taken lightly. A white light would glow from around my body, while a green grid appeared underneath the other human.
"Your arrogance shall be punished. White light, arcane power."
my arms would cross, almost like I was giving myself a hug, before shooting out again towards him. Fingers would raise and spread, while I finished the incantation for something I had used only once. Whether or not it would work is beyond me. Oh well, may as well try it out and see.
" Lamentations of the living, purge victory naught of my own, but in your honor!"

Pulling my arms back into my own area, I would disregard that thought process. I could not risk doing that here. Here, there was a problem with casualties being in the way. I would not be able to fire on noncombatants, especially since I wanted to preserve as much life as possible. On the other side, I would not be able to stop myself from doing what I was about to. It seemed that I would be using it twice today. With a smile on my face, I finished the incantation, but differently..

"Hall of the thunder kind, silence those who dishonor you..."

Above me, a swirl of darkness would begin, just as it had descended on the other ones. For now, I would wait to see what the other human had up his sleeve. Once I had gauged his abilities properly, I would strike him down. With the darkness expanding to 60 feet around me, a light crackle of blue light would coarse through the air, hopefully drowning out that stupid gravity bullshit. After thinking for a moment, my mind changed again. No need to wait to test him, my priority at this point was to take him down the quickest way possible.

At Wurin's Village, Tina's interrogation continues and gets more and more brutal until the 4th ranking mistress stops her and tells her to go and relax for a bit. "Our Master wants him alive, remember?" Tina smiles and replies, "Awww, are my methods too violent for you, Cara?" Cara smirks and tells her that like always she uses brute force rather than finesse. Tina walks outside and Cara begins a more psychological interrogation. Her methods are getting inside the minds of her prisoners and turning them against themselves or by using everything that they care about as incentive to cooperate. Cara is also probably the most skilled at reading people and knowing when they are lying or holding back. She has Wurin's brother and wife brought to the room so that she could begin. They would be tortured instead of Wurin and he would be forced to watch. Cara's view is simple. Wurin is a warrior so he is prepared for pain and even death as it is a part of battle, but he also has a strong love of his family. Cara reads that when she tells her junior sisters to retrieve them. She also sends for his daughter as well.

Inside the temple, the Grey Whisper screams out in pain herself before uttering an incantation. She looks at me expecting to see blades of shadow energy strike out at me. I look at her and chuckle, "As I said, how do you think you will harm me when you have no powers? It was a Deva who brought you mortals your powers and your knowledge so do you not think that I, a yaksa, cannot take them away? Foolish mortal. Now suffer as I want you to watch what I am going to do to your daughter. I use the Mind Reaver power on the Grey Whisper to forcefully invade her mind and show her the vision of her daughter being broke under my training. She watches and screams out in pain at the sight of the ordeal. The daughter cries out and I decide to attempt something that I haven't done before. I reach out to invade the daughter's mind at the same time. So that the daughter feels the vision that her mother is being tortured with. "Yes, you will atone for your mother's transgressions as she is beyond salvation. This is what you will do." The mental invasion extends to the point of tapping into my Influence power and the Daughter taking the Leiga rod into her hands withering the pain from wielding it. She walks over and Eka prepares to strike, but the daughter thrusts the rod into her mother's chest. I smile as I watch this and I drop the Mind Reaver power so that the daughter witnesses her killing her mother. She falls into tears before I revive her mother with minimal vitality. The Grey Whisper looks at me and I grin, "Not yet. She will do that a few more times. Each in more painful and creative way. Each time, letting you remain dead for just a little longer. You will know so such suffering. This temple that you built shall be brought down upon you when you meet the true death. Eka, break them all. I will return after seeing to Wurin and the Wattu affairs. I want your sisters to understand what it feels like to break a future sister. To understand the bond that you build when she is broken to pieces and you put her back together. Also, I want you to show the Grey Whisper the extent of my blessings upon you. When she dies, give her a kiss from me." Eka nods and I vanish from the temple, heading to Wurin's HQ as the High Commander wraps up the battle and moves all of the captured soldiers and civilians to the prison compound.

~ Wattu Village ~

Seeing the Yaksa land on the ground, the Champion wasted no time. He would "vanish" as he leapt off of the mount appearing in a brief flicker of his image about halfway in between his previous position and Sanzon's. The second flicker shows him right in front of Sanzon. If Sanzon noticed the second flicker in front of him, it would be too late. (Godspeed + Bushido: Slash + Weapon Enhancement = Destructive) If the strikes connects unnoticed and undefended, it might take a bit for the damage to register, but after a bit, Sanzon would feel a good amount of pain flow thru his torso and it should leave a pretty good wound to make him bleed... a lot. The sword would be back in its sheath and seems to wail for a moment as a dark aura fills the area. The dark blade wielded by the Elder Son's champion is none other than... an active Mabushiiken Katana!

The Elder Son looks up at the sky at the dark cloud and quickly backs away to try and evade whatever it was going to release. He ignores a villager that is wounded near him and in need of his help to escape. The Chief sees the wounded civilian that was trampled but still alive and going to be caught in the attack. He rushes out to get the wounded villager as the blue light in the sky crackles.

As the Champion dashes at Sanzon, Do watches him in a crouch. His ability to use Godspeed gives him a movement advantage over the operative, but she prepares to dash at him anyway though her orders were simply to secure the packages and observe. While Sanzon is one of her packages, it might look bad if she interfered. Besides, the lightning yaksa said that he didn't need her help. She stays out of it and watches as the Wattu Chief scrambles to save his people. If the storm releases, the Chief will most likely be caught in it and while Do could potentially save him, she sees no reason to. The Khuna Apsara are truly a cold hearted creation.

I would stand there, watching the human flickering from my sight for a moment,. I guess it wasn't a human after all. Knowing that, I knew I didn't have to hold back. It was about time for me to demonstrate to this human why he had a snowballs chance in hell of walking away from this battle. With the storm spreading across the area, I smiled vividly as he disappeared. Godspeed, a technique that I was more than familiar with. If he wanted to try keeping up with an Angel, I more than welcomed him to try. Using my own form of godspeed, he would reappear, only to have no target to swing at. The one thing about humans was that they couldn’t really fly. With my balance thrown off, I would have to gather my focus and reorient myself for this battle. What a pain in the ass this little human had turned out to be. Fortunately for me, two could play at that game. Drawing a large amount of air into my lungs, I pulled my head back before dropping my jaw. The electricity across my lungs would crackle before the sound of thunder emerged from my lips. The large boom would be at a harmonic level low enough to tip the equilibrium of the inner ear, and disorienting anyone in the area where I just was. Taking a deep breath, I yelled out across the area...

"Ninja Girl!! Get the civilians out of here!!"

Shit.. did she know what civilians were? I had no idea, but I was not about to waste time protecting them when I had to hold back. The other spirit would need as many as possible alive. Good thing I came and not his troops. I doubt they would have been able to handle this type of enemy without massive casualties. I had to get my bearings back so I could fight this stupid human. What an embarrassment this would be if he actually laid a hand on me. Getting a grip on myself, I pulled the air in, then released it, focusing on the area directly around me. One of the great things about being a spirit who was used to combat, was our ability to adapt to our enemies fighting conditions. A moment later, the gravity in the area around me would be restored to normal, while I funneled my own energy into it, allowing me my balance.

She looks at him and emerges from the shadows in front of one of the Eldest Son's soldiers who nearly tramples a woman trying to rescue her child. Do's speed increases similar to Godspeed but not as noticeable. She exclaims back at the spirit, "My name is Do! Not ninja girl!" She looks at the path that she has to take to rescue them before the mounted soldier hits them and she curses internally, "Damn it! Master allow me to protect them." She throws up her hand and it is probably due to her proximity to Sanzon and the amount of electrical energy that he produces and transmits that when Do throws up her hand a blast of lightning releases from her and hits the rider. She grabs the woman and her child in mid stride and continues moving them to safety.

The Champion is looks down at his blade and there is no blood on it. He turns about til he spots the spirit and raises his left hand towards him, "Let the darkness steal your eyes." (Dark Blinding) He waits for a moment before dashing at the spirit again. If the orb appeared around the spirit, he would simply slash at him again using his bushido skill as his weapon. Should the orb not appear, the Champion's movement would be accompanied by another chant, "East becomes West, North becomes South!" (Vertigo) The slash attack would follow the Vertigo chant as well.

The Middle Son is busy trying to get everyone ready to leave while the Daughter upon hearing of her brother's actions, rushes to the courtyard.

A handful of the Elder Son's soldiers move quickly to approach and attack the spirit while he is focused on the Champion. There are two swordsmen, one with a spear, one with a club, and one with an axe. They will be in attacking range next post.

I raised myself higher into the air, taking range from the human. Flickering from sight, my vision would blur, while the vertigo effect hit, then was dismissed thanks to the gravity. instead of acting normally, I would throw my arms back, acting as if my balance had been lost. The dark orb would have missed due to my movement, thankfully. I had no idea what that kind of technique would have done, nor was I willing to make it easy for him to find out. I heard the result from the other spirit, while announcing her name to me. What an interesting name, I would remember that. keeping my eyes on the human, I would waste the energy to move forward. With the human jumping up towards me, I brought into play a little bit of physics. A counter motion of my own would easily be able to overtake a body in motion. Since he couldn't fly, and had nothing to really move himself with, I was at a severe advantage. The high ground had been commanded by me, and this may have been the end of this battle. Drawing my fist back, my body would move forwards in a quick burst [ascended speed + godspeed], reappearing to his right side. moving past him, I would attempt to put my fist into his chest [Kitasu Pao], and with a follow through, drive that dirty human straight into a crater impact on the ground

~ Wurin's Village ~

Cara's interrogation bears much information and corrections to some of the lies that Wurin had told before. Wurin watches as his brother is beaten and his wife is groped and beaten up as well. His son and daughter are both brought into the room for the worst part of all. After Wurin swears on the lives of his children that he has told her everything that she wanted to know. Cara walks over to the brother and asks him, "Do you want to die?" He shakes his head and she nods to him showing a face of compassion and understanding. "Of course you don't. You are really a warrior so you are not truly the one we are here to torture and kill. If I promise that I will not kill you, will you do what I ask?" He nods to her and tells her to command anything except for him to kill his brother or his niece and nephew.

Cara smiles and shakes her head, "I would not ask you to take a life." She takes a step back and looks at Wurin's wife as she commands, "I want you to bed Wurin's wife right here in front of him and their children. Refuse and I will make you a Eunuch. I will also take some of the soldiers who have been captured as prisoners of war and I will have them as a group ravage her for the entire day."

The wife hears a voice in her ear telling her that she could save herself and her children if she accepts the offer. "Which is the lesser of the two evils? Do what your husband has done so many times before and violate your marriage once to save your children or condemn yourself to a terrible fate? Accept the offer. Protect your children." The wife speaks up, "If we do this, my children will be safe?" Cara nods, "I will not harm them." One of the sisters releases the wife, who removes her underbottoms and the brother is told to get to work. He tells Cara that he cannot do this. The wife tells him that he must. Wurin looks at her then at his children. A figure appears next to Wurin's daughter and looks her in the eye. Sniffing the young maiden's flesh, the voice speaks, "The choice is yours. Either you bed her or this young maiden will learn the true exhilaration of being bedded by a yaksa. You might want to hurry before she succumbs to my charms." I use my finger to draw a path from her lips heading south very slowly. The wife reaches up and grabs the young man's manhood and forces him to take her. With the act in progress, I walk over to Wurin and smile at him. "Such a pleasure to see you again, Wurin. Your wife is quite spirited and I am going to guarantee that within a few moments, your brother is going to forget that you are even here and he is going to enjoy your wife before you die. Your whore of a wife will be sent as a gift to an ally of mine who is only helping for this campaign. Your brother and son will be executed with you. Your bloodline, mortal, will be no more. Your daughter will survive though. She will become one of my Khuna Apsara. You will see the extent of her loyalty to me. Do not worry though. I will allow you to watch as your wife becomes a whore and slave and as your son is tortured over and over again. Everything that you built to defy me is no more. In victory, I strip you over everything. My Maidens will even take your dignity from you. Cara, you have your orders. I look forward to the progress when I return." I walk over and kiss Cara before on the lips before stopping at Wurin's daughter and telling Cara to train her very thoroughly. Cara smiles and walks over to the daughter and kisses her. "As it pleases you, Master." I fly out of the room headed for the Wattu Village.

The Champion misses again. Why aren't his gravity techniques having the effect that he needs them to have. Was the demigod skilled at reversal magic or immune to gravity powers? As the spirit dives at him. The Champion figures that the arrogance of a demigod is the only explanation for why he didn't simply use lightning against him now that he was able to fly again. "You so called gods are such cowards relying on your ability to fly." The Champion leaps into the sky with his sword hand on the hilt of his sheathed blade. He takes a deep breath and as he is struck by the attack, his blade releases as well. He sacrificed himself and his life just to land this strike. The timing on this strike is truly flawless. Mortals with their ideals are interesting creatures. The speed of the Iaijutsu style strike is something that only a god should be able to do. (Hidden Strike: Bushido - Destructive) As he heads back towards the ground, his blade is already back in its sheath. He hits the ground hard and twitches for a moment before he doesn't move at all.

Dō appears in front of the Elder Son's mount and he rears up to try and evade her but she "vanishes" and grabs him off the mount to the ground. His soldiers recognize what she is more than who she is in particular. She drags his body back towards where Sanzon is. The other soldiers seeing that the Champion is defeated retreat as well until they see Dō with the Elder Son in her custody and they make a run for it.

The Daughter arrives at the Town Center at the same time that Dō does. The Chief steps back out as well to try and intercept Dō's path to Sanzon in order to plead for his son's life. Dō stops and looks up at Sanzon.

A deep breath would come from my lips, while a pain coursed through my side. Looking down, there was a deep incision from my hip, across my mid section, and out. I landed softly on the ground, looking over to the humans fallen body. what a pain in the ass that had been. I stopped for a moment, wondering why I hadn't just blasted him away.. oh yea, civilians. I had taken damage trying to protect the innocent, which he would have gladly sacrificed for nothing.

"Dō.. Completely your orders."

That was all I could really tell her. My left arm would come down to hold my side, while I lowered the top of the suit off. Tying it around the wound, I would have to get some water to attempt a quicker recovery. A light look of disgust would come to my face while I thought about the other spirit. What an embarrassment to have a human actually injure me. My thought process would flip over to Domen, and I could even hear his laugh at the thought of it. What a pain in my ass this could have been. If I had an open field with no one in the way, I would have just blasted him into oblivion and not wasted my time. Fuck...

"Anyone who wishes to fight will be shown no quarter, those who surrender, bow at center court."

Do looks at Sanzon with mild concern. That is a nasty wound with some dark energies emanating from it. Her orders were to see to her Master's packages and that is still what she intended to do, but he was one of the packages. The only problem is that she was told not to let him know that he was a target that she was ordered to look after. If there was one truth that I learned the hard way it was that we powerful spirits can definitely be hurt by our own knowledge of our powers and prowess. This is a potentially dangerous situation. Do does what she must which is "appear" next to Sanzon. Her healing powers are currently a basic exchange. She transfers her raw energy into his wound. The only problem is that the wound doesn't close. Do looks at the wound with even more confusion now. She turns and knees the Eldest Son in the face. Grabbing him by the throat, she asks softly with evil intent in her voice, "What sort of blade is that?" She squeezes his throat so that his answer would be muffled.

The villagers witness the power and most of them instantly drop into a bow. There are those who simply turn and head towards the south end of the island where the Middle Son is with his forces preparing to depart. The Chief of the Wattu looks at his people and nods. He starts to kneel until Do strikes his son again. The Daughter arrives and while she is furious with her brother, she dashes over and Do flies backwards. She looks at Do and takes a protective stance in front of her brother. Her eyes look much more feral. "He is defeated and he will be dealt with according to our laws. If you wish to hurt him, Devil Maiden, you will have to get thru me first." Do approaches her and the Daughter feels a pulse in her chest. Her hair takes on a wilder appearance as an unnatural breeze flows thru the area. I am curious to see what Sanzon will do. Looking at his wound from my position, I stare at it for a moment before I finally realize what that sword must be. A cursed katana? Here in Yochi Furi? Did someone bring it back with them?

Do prepares to attack but she feels my presence which causes her to turn to my direction and drop to a knee ceasing any further hostility. The Daughter looks up at the sky to try and find me. The rest of the villagers and the Chief are focused on Sanzon and what his response to the Elder Son will be.

That was all I said when the ninja girls attempt to try something had failed. If I could get water, I knew I would be able to heal myself. Looking at the Eldar Son, I figured it would be best to show them exactly how I was doing right now. My words had been absolute, and easy to understand. Making my way towards them, I would flex my midsection to ease the pain that was still there. It had been centuries since I had been struck with a cursed weapon. With a singular stride, I would stop about fifteen feet from the priest girl. Raising my arm, a blue spark would jump across my fingertips, while they curled into a fist. The only time a fist was made, happened to be when I was going to focus more energy at a time.

"Your Laws no longer exist. I believe I made it clear.. anyone who defied the gods would be punished accordingly. To strike an angel with a cursed weapon is a severe insult, and pays the penalty of death. The other Yaksa may want you, but you are worthless to me. Get out of the way, or you will be destroyed alongside him. Any who wishes for peace and the life that I have spared you were to simply bow, and be unharmed. I gave you your lives back, and then you allow someone of your own to do this... He will not hide behind you, nor behind his people. It was enough of a pain in the ass to protect all of you while fighting the other one. Do you really want to stand in front of me after all that?"

I would stop for a moment, looking across the skies. Blah.. when did he decide to show up, didnt he have a campaign to deal with. Then again, better that asshole used a cursed blade on me, than him. I had self control, and I didnt know what the other yaksa would do had he been struck with that weapon. I dont think he would have though, since he would have probably sacrificed the villagers to defeat him. Life is expendable to him, and that was where we differed. This was a result of my own motives and morals.

"The next one of you Primates that even THINKS about touching me... and I swear I will bolt your ass into the thirty first century... GOT IT!..... now.. if you want to be spared, take a nice little boat ride into the sunset, and grow old in a new home that I have graciously and mercilessly given to you, then Bow."

The Daughter stands firm in her defense of her brother. Her gaze leaves my position and stares at Sanzon. The Chief steps in and moves his daughter to the side. "Please, my lord. Forgive my daughter. She is headstrong and does not wish to defy you. Also, I beg you to have mercy on my son and allow me to atone for the sins that you believe are his. This is my village and my land and it has belonged to my family for many generations, so I did not want to lose it without seeing if you are truly who you are. If you must make an example then you should be sure to punish the right person."

Chuckling can be heard as the blade lifts into the air. The Daughter drops to a knee and bows. My mind reaches out to Sanzon, "I leave you alone and you go and get cursed. Time to make you look bad ass again. Just trust me on this." I appear next to Sanzon with the blade in my hand, my body starts to glow and Sanzon would hear the chant in my head, "What was consumed by darkness, be blessed by light." The blade glows in my hand and if he looks down he will notice that it seems to be covered in water. I move the blade at the wound. The blade would touch the wound and his wound would glow as water "from the blade" starts to funnel into the wound. Once the dark aura of the curse is gone, the blade vanishes as well in a splash of water funneled into the wound. With the amount of water just funneled into that wound, he should be fully healed.

If the wound is allowed to heal before their eyes, roughly half of the people who were planning to leave stop and drop back into their bow. There are still those who wish to leave, which is good. I am actually quite impressed that there are so few casualties. "Lord Sanzon, what is your judgment on these two? Make no mistake, Princess, you will not question his decision." She looks at me and lowers into a deeper bow. I turn to Sanzon awaiting his ruling on the matter.

I stayed there while the other spirit displayed an ability I was unaware of. How interesting it was to see something like that, and how nice it was to feel that pain go away. In my head, his voice came across, and I played it over and over. Yea Yea.. asshole. Thinking, loudly to myself [since I knew the other could hear me], I stated.. "If I wasnt trying to protect the villagers as well, it never would have happened.. " With the pain going away, and the water now in my body, I felt myself returning to full energy. What a bitch move that was, using a cursed weapon. While I was curious to see how he gained such power, I was not about to waste time. I had made the terms simple and easy to understand, and that was that. Forgiveness could not be given to those who pushed their limits...

"I gave you one week to make your decision. Anyone who challenged would be executed. Now that you are defeated you ask for mercy, as if you deserve it? Why would I give it to you? The sins of the father are not sins of the son, and that holds true here."

Now.. what to do. I could handle this entire thing here, but that might show me as a cruel ruler, and that was the Other spirit's job. I wasn't a killer, but I had made my terms. wait a sec.. there was a mine on the northern coast, where I had planned on getting rock from. This might work out... turning to face the old man, I would give him my final answer.

"Do not beg forgiveness for something that you can not save old man. Your son will be exiled to the mines in the north. Should he ever step foot from there, he will be executed. As for the rest of you, prepare whatever you can for the move. The boats will leave in six hours."

Turning again to face the other spirit, I would give him a light look of spite. What a pain in the ass it was to get cursed, then have to be healed by him. Blah... He would never let me live this one down..

"I'm going for breakfast."

Why oh why did I say that his decision was absolute? That little prick tried to kill him and even tried to embarrass the yaksa. He should be executed on the spot. Set an example! I am not sure if he going for the Merciful Yaksa in contrast to me but I hope it does not show him as one of weak resolve. It is of no consequence to me though. North? I thought he was going south to the coastal village? North could be far more advantageous though. He could begin the expansion up there while I focus on securing and controlling access to the island. Good thinking, Sanzon. I look at the Chief first then at the Elder Son and smirk, "Fortunate you are that he is so benevolent. Chief, I suggest you bind and confine him until the ships are ready to leave. His life is spared, but if he is not where he should be, I will flay him and then I will play with you."

When Sanzon mentions food, I chuckle and shake my head, "I'm surprised you're not fat." I turn to the daughter who is still in a formal bow with her eyes on the ground yet elated thoughts are beaming from her. Looking down at her, I speak, "Can your servants cook?" She nods, "Yes, Yaksa. I will have something prepared right away. We will come with you. There is much for you and I to discuss." I begin to walk off when I stop and look back at the Elder Son. "Wurin fell with minimal casualties on my side and his family has been and is being destroyed. You were foolish enough to believe that a mortal would best me?" We start walking and I look at Do. She nods to me and disappears from sight. "So Sanzon, are you pleased with your diplomacy?"

I half expected some remark from him, and it was well deserved. Looking at the overall damage, the only real casualty was the champion. I was completely satisfied with the outcome, and all were spared. The only damaged would be those he encountered, if any, on his southern campaign. With a little bit of a smile, I listened to his question while looking around the village. I had managed to not destroy any of it, and had protected the people from even their own. No telling what would have happened had that champion disregarded them to defeat me. Floating alongside the other spirit, I would continue for a bit before heading off to oversee the boats.

"Diplomacy worked well. As you can see, the Wurin suffered one casualty. It would have been far worse had I not protected their people as well. I am still curious as to where they found a cursed weapon. Only beings of immense power have that kind of ability. There has to be something else out there that may have been giving resources to this village. You may want to have your little ninja ladies look into that later, just in case.. Oh yea, there was something I forgot to mention..."

I had thought about it, now that there was a cursed item involved. A couple months ago an event had occurred which drew me to this realm. Once I emerged, I was confronted by a high priestess who spoke of a great evil that was coming. I had no idea what the hell she was talking about to be honest, but she said that Merkus told her to seek the spot, where I came out. From there, she asked for my assistance..

"that cursed weapon..apparently a great evil is coming, and this might have something to do with it. I was confronted by a Seer, and high priestess, who told me a great evil that was coming..any idea what she may be speaking of?"

He was pleased with himself. He deserved to be. He had accomplished something that I probably would not have. True minimal casualties. I had already pondered the origins of the blade. I would have Adrian analyze it while I finished up with my more political duties. Suddenly, I start to feel a looming pain in my head. Oh no... not right now. Of all the f'n times, not right now... not here. When he mentions the great evil and the darkness coming, I feel a pulse in my chest that reverberates thru my entire body. My eyes begin to glow a radiant silver color as my body lifts up and the air around me starts to tremble. Reaching out telepathically, I call to him, "Sanzon, hurry... s-s-s-s-shock me!" These power fluxes and rage flares were becoming more and more frequent and it still makes little sense to me why electricity seems to be one of the only things to calm my spirit. What in the hell is the connection? The spiritual energy starts to build up and my dark aura starts to manifest as my body begins to transform into Dark Kami form.

Once the shift begins to subside, I would be able to respond, "I have not sensed anything yet nor have my operatives informed me of any great evils. I am not sure what it would be either since Onitoshi is sealed off. I tried to go there when I first arrived here. Though, I have seen many evils being locked away, so it is most likely a great spirit of some sort. I am intrigued now." My verbal words cease and I speak telepathically once again, "I need to gain control over my powers or this great evil may very well be me! My rage is close to taking over." I sigh and the Daughter just continues to lead us. If she had noticed my flare, she did not let on that she did.

Stepping on the ground, an immediate eruption of electricity would emerge from the ground, paralyzing everything within a close distance. I was getting used to being on call to suppress his primeval urges. I was curious to how he kept these from his people, and was more concerned at his later words. Was he possibly the other evil? I had no idea, nor was I willing to risk it. The other thing I had in my mind was the center ruins. Once I had delivered my people to their promised land, I had an idea..

"Once I finish my business through the day, and deliver them to the northern shores, I will return. There is a platform in the center of the ancient ruin that has two symbols. I can't enter the temple, and there was a strange pulse that kept me out. The other symbol didn't react to me. I think that it might be some lost technology that the old ages used, when there was true peace here. If you are interested, we may look into this..."


Man, I was hungry. All of this action, added to the lack of sleep I was getting really made me want some food, and a nap. A yawn would escape my lips while I pulled my hands into the pockets of my dress pants casually. He had a lot of work to do, and so did I. Those boats would require me to maintain a solid level of flight to watch over them, and make sure there were no issues.

The electrical surge flows thru my body and I stare off in the distance as I see a young winged woman standing there smiling at me. I know her. Like we've been together before and know each other well, but I have never seen her before have I? She fades away and appears next to me and nods to me. I nod to her in return. "Tomorrow at dawn, I will meet you at these ruins. I am curious to see them for myself. Thank you... for everything. See to your people, Lord Sanzon." My fist comes to my chest over the left breast where many mortals foolishly think their heart is and offer a salute and bowing nod of my head.

Turning from him, I would continue to walk with the Daughter, who I needed to discuss matters with as she would become a vital part of this island and its leadership, until we make it to her house in this village. I bring her up to speed on the slave labor that I had captured from Wurin. When I calmed down a bit, I realized the benefit of using his people as a completely expendable labor force. I could work them into the ground and I don't have to care b/c I wanted them dead anyway. Sounds like a win win for me. I lift into the air a bit and a smile shows my true happiness. This entire island is now mine. Wurin is soon to be no more and the Grey Whisper is a training tool. My victory is complete.

A sharp pain resonates in my chest and the daughter turns to me and speaks, "Your spirit is at war with the very nature of this island. Who are you, my lord? You are not who you are." Do draws her dagger at the Daughter and she tells Do to move. The daughter pulls out a dagger and slices into her palm and offers it to me. My fangs extend down and I try to fight the urge but lunge at her hand and taste her blood. She speaks to me softly, "Now you are ready to learn everything that has been hidden from you to find yourself again. It is time for you to recognize the truth of your soul. Go to the ruins and when you enter the temple, you will remember who you are." I move away from her and everything starts to get hazy. "Do, protect the Serani." The Daughter looks at me and smiles, "So you know what I am?" I nod and tell her that I do not know how I do though. She smiles and transforms into a fearsome lioness and pads over to me. She speaks, "We have always protected that which you hold so dear, My Lord. In turn, you always cared for, loved, and protected us. I will send word to the others after you have returned. All the answers are there." I fly out of the house headed for the center of the island...

I was completely satisfied with everything. Lifting slightly off the ground, I twisted to face him once more before leaving. I had taken care of everything that I said I would do, and solved a problem for him with diplomacy and not force. I was rather happy, and content with the entire morning. At first, I was lost in reflection while figuring out whether or not I would partake in this ordeal.

"Will you be in one piece at dawn? I am curious to see what this will hold for us. Take care of your business, I'm heading to the north."

With that said, my body would rise above his before soaring up and into the air. From above, I could see everything going on below, and the passage towards the water. In advance, the boats had been called to arrive at a certain time. The beautiful morning air was light and cool, and with that all around me I was refreshed. I would have about four hours until I needed to be at the docks, and that was more than enough time to go get breakfast at the Yaksa's village, and take a bath with that nice little lady..
