Ok, I'm confused about something... how do multiple people know all about The Leviathan? Now Psyre has been to a few library and I don't remember seeing a book on the Six Pillars where I could have the info on all of these guys? Especially since The Leviathan and Marcos seem to be LONG ago. Just curious. Shin... Kyro... Google? Anyone know? Domen being an old demon is believable, but others... for real?

Also... Kyro asked it and I haven't heard a straight answer... is Tiamat a guy or a girl or a Ranma?!

I went on the assumption that The Leviathan was a well known legendary demon. You'll notice Domen not say anymore than that. In his storyline, Domen is an ancient warlord from times past, so it would be vague how his age compared to TL, but I'm assuming Shin's not resurrecting nobodies.

I went on the same assumption. anyone of massive power has to have a legend or myth that you would hear about. Think about it. I dont personally know Genghis Khan or Julius Ceasar, but if someone resurrected them, we would all know exactly who they were

I was unclear about the technique used. Im pretty sure I said how far I was away from the opponent. The tech is based off of a 10 foot per level area, so at honed it would be about a 30 foot area. Does this imply that it is radius, as in circular? At my current position [50 feet], I would still have been out of the range of the attack anyway, but I wanted to clarify it for future reference / use

I have always perceived them (and used them) as a radius. Basically from the point of impact you go out by say 30 feet in all directions.

Alright, that made more my sense. My second question was the damage. Does it drop per ten foot piece? As seen below, it states that the center damage [I'm assuming the largest bolt that dwarfs the others] is the Destructive bolt, while the surrounding ones are different. Also, it states that they come one after another, so it wouldn't be a lot of them crashing down at once, correct?

A motion to the skies produces several bolts of dark energy that strike one after another over a target area before a large bolt dwarfs the others and crashes into the center of the area.
Effect: center damage is Destructive, area = 10 ft per level

While it is one after another, they would come very rapidly to produce basically a dark lightning storm. Also, if the large bolt dwarfs all others and impacts the center, the question becomes what is the actual size of the final bolt because I actually viewed it to the point that the final bolt covered the whole area. Now with Kyro's particular attack, if he is anticipating hitting both of you and you are stated to be 50 feet away from The Leviathan, keep in mind that if the calculation is radius based like I believe, you could have still been hit if the center point is not The Leviathan's current position, but the target area around BOTH of you since he stated that he would attack both of you. I believe this is the only ability that has this issue or dual impact/effect areas together, so I suppose Shin will have to rule on/tweak Dark Skies at some point since it's not completely clear.

In the future, I would avoid exact distances from things b/c unless Sanzon is a field goal kicker or expert mathematician, how do you know that you are 50 feet from something? A distance that OOC-wise would put you RIGHT outside of all area effect spells. That or explain IC that you are trying to stay out of range of area effect magix. Just my suggestion.

I put it that way since it was clarified that a city block is about 100 feet, so that puts me at half a block away.

as for the other reasons, knowing that my abilities are about half a block in strength, I want to stay outside of my own blast zone.

...is how I viewed it. I think the other point is not so much where characters are, but where they end up being when an attack strikes. Technically, no one's supposed to know the range of an attack they've never seen before, but that realism is lost IC for various reasons.

OOC4Seven: You gotta roll for the success of your moves... so I will acknowledge them and respond/react accordingly if they are successful... also, how is it that you can see where Krys and I are? Novak and Kibbles are super sized so that makes sense, but from the middle of the impact zone, you can tell the difference between me in a cloak and Krys in a dress, how? There is probably a chance that if your attacks do work that it would not be me that you'd be targeting but her.
