Lets Talk Health Care Empty
PostSubject: Lets Talk Health Care   Lets Talk Health Care EmptyWed Mar 24, 2010 9:10 am

10: On Free Comic Day, everyone gets free reading glasses. Part of the new vision plan includes a pair of folding reading glasses for every comic book geek. They might not need them now, but with nearly one trillion dollars to spend, might as well get them while you can.

9: Insurance companies will no longer be allowed to drop anyone with a pre-existing condition. That means those of us with eyestrain, Nintendo Thumb; Nintendenitis; tennis elbow; tendonitis; bursitis; and carpal tunnel syndrome are good to go.

8: Considering the above conditions, Mountain Dew and Fritos will become prescription drugs. They’ll still be available over the counter, but the prescription strength Mountain Dew will cause gamers to feel no pain and never blink.

7: Medicare will be expanded to cover older electronics. You have to claim them as dependents, but you can finally afford to get your Commodore 64 repaired and rewire your house for Atari 2600 Dolby Surround. 8-bit Surround. Yeah. Why not? Interchanged G.I. Joe figures will be covered as well.

6: Medicare will also cover older folks learning about new electronics. Basic computer training for the elderly will be covered under the new Medicare plan changes. Elderly being any baby boomer or older who buys an e-machine and calls you three times a day to help them open and send email.

5: Parents’ coverage extends to age 26. Guess what gamers? That means you don’t have to move out of your parents basement just yet or get a real job until you hit 27. That should be plenty of time to design your video game, create your comic book or get your 15 minutes on YouTube.

4: Cape related incidents will be covered under a higher deductible. Fly safe superheroes, as any cape related incidents will be covered. Of course, you might also want to consider the types of accidents that tend to happen because of capes and just not wear one at all. No point in having insurance if you get caught in a jet turbine.

3: Alternative therapy coverage to be expanded. Including late night D&D psychotherapy sessions, FPS anger management classes and WoW social anxiety group therapy.

2: On Call & Emergency care will be handled through Social Networking. No longer will you have to call up the surly answering service to get hold of your doctor in the middle of the night. Now, you’ll just tweet the surly answering service. Or try to friend them on Facebook. Emergency care will use Foursquare to locate you if you aren’t at home. Don’t forget to check in.

1: Co-Pay amounts will be decided with a roll of the die. All medical professionals will be required to roll a 20 sided die in the presence of a certified DM to determine co-pay amounts.
