The Devils Soul [open]

The sky was as black as the devils soul since it was lacking the reflected light of the moon. Tobias having just finished working, walked along the dark highway keeping to shoulder to prevent becoming a ‘hit and run’ incident on the news. Over his shoulder was a large brown duffel bag with a number of stickers on its right side, which reflected his latent love to travel. In his other hand was an open silver can of off brand soda with a bendable straw poking from it’s mouth. He lifted the can and took a sip just as a heavy drop of rain landed on it’s edge. His eyes turned to the sky immediately searching for the follow up shower which was delayed long enough for him to return his attention to his forward advancement. Just as his head adjusted back to pointing in the direction he was walking the down pour would drop on his head like a cold shower after a failed encounter with a ‘Tease’. a sigh would escape his lips before he dropped his bag and lifted the black hood of his jacket up in a quick snatch. As he tightened it with a single hand he would turn to make sure nothing was coming up the road as the hood killed his peripheral vision. He continued walking down the highway expecting to get splashed as the water on the road began to rise to ‘disrespectful puddle’ levels. To his surprise he made it to the highways end without being exposed to the ever common wheel splash but it was obvious that it was due to the late hours and not his luck.

As he entered the city his path would lead him to a well kept and welcoming diner just outside of the lower commons linking it ever so slightly to the crime of that area. As he entered an old man behind the counter would nod at him showing that he recognized his best odd hour customer. As he made his way to the back of the diner he would take a seat leaving his duffel bag under the table at his feet. The now empty soda can would be sat on the table in front of him as he reached for the menu with his free hand. Even though he was going to buy the same thing as usual.

It was the first time that he had stepped onto alien soil since he came from the inhospitable realm of Onitoshi. The Scourge only gave a little smirk at that and stroked his beard. He knew that the gatekeeper had abandoned his post, and from the rumor mill the human realm was in quite the disarray. It presented opportunities for those demons who wanted to advance themselves up the social rungs, or in the case of the Scourge gain more power, get a pretty woman, get into a fight, and get rip roaring drunk, not in any particular order mind you. He just had a problem though....no one could see him. That put a real crimp into his plans. *How am I supposed to fight when I am bloody invisible and can't effect the damn world?* He grumbled in his mind as Roshi stroked his beard in evil thought, but the spirit put it out of his mind. The Scourge would find the answer himself soon enough.

His thoughts had precluded him from checking his surroundings, but he didn't think he needed to pay much attention since there wasn't much going on in the diner he was staying at whilst in the midst of his spiritual conundrum.

The old man having become use to his consistent ordering of the same meal almost everyday would send over his meal before he gave him a chance to order. Now sitting in front of him was the combination of a ketchup covered omelet with a side of bacon and dinner sausages with a large slice of triple chocolate cake. He wasted no time in breaking his calm temperament and digging into his food with only his fork and his bare left hand. As he mixed the food with no shame eating like a semi-crazed beast he would look up and turn his head noticing a short stubby man staring into the window. His eyes however were locked not on Toby himself but his food, his cake covered hand would rise and flex into a fist before he flipped the man the bird. Upon making eye contact with the fat short fellow he would flash his broken smile. A simple pointing of the finger would be his response as began walking away from the window. Toby continued to eat like a half trained savage ignoring the world as he filled his belly forgetting about his meal, as he finished the cake and sausages he would reach for his drink and gulp it down to half empty releasing a long satisfied belch.

The spirit was bored, there just wasn't any else to put it. He needed the excitement of battle, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat! He needed it all! The oni was sitting in a diner...not what you would call the most glorious places to be for sure, but he could pick up rumors and overhear conversations in his ephemeral state of being. Roshi was at least making the wait for something he could deal with since the information let him form an identity he was going to use. "The recent attacks on the lower commons has created a sense of fear amongst the lower caste of this city. Its the perfect time for preachers and doomsayers to come out." He said to himself rubbing his goatee in stereotypically evil fashion. "It has been awhile since I tried my hand at preaching...some two hundred years to be exact, this could be really fun!" Roshi muttered to himself as with a new eye he started gauging the prospective recruits for his new made up religion.

As he finished his food he would lean back and belch once more while cleaning of his hand with the napkin to his left. Despite his savage manner of ingesting food was a closet clean freak leaving only his appearance out of order. He dropped the napkin on his plate while running his tongue over his canines savoring the flavor from his recently finished meal. his eyes, half closed and disinterested in the world once again would lock on the door as it opened giving way to a bunch of teens obviously coming from the night club in the lower commons. His eyes scanned them all noticing the figures of the young ladies and sport based egos of the dudes whose arms they were attached. Behind them entering mere second after was a middle aged fellow with wild white hair and a thick beard, his hands were covered in fingers wool gloves and dirt from what he assumed was recent dumpster diving. His dirty left hand would reach out and grab the arm of pretty young thing standing 5’3 wearing all pink save for the blue thong peaking over the waist of her hip hugging jeans. Toby would instantly think to himself “and then rape man entered the diner aiming his weapon of semi-destruction at the young lady who auditioned for Americas’ top hooker two seasons prior.”. he would cross his arms and watch the situation unfold hoping for a spectacle.

Roshi was observing the recently arrived entertainment; though, he had to be honest that the women alone were entertainment enough for him. *When was the last time I had a good roll in the hay?* He thought to himself while he thought on this. He stood up too his full imposing height of six feet and three inches and begin walking through the booths to get a better look at the spectacle. A quick scan of the room though showed that he was not the only one paying attention. It seemed the others were quickly taking into voyeuristic delight as well wondering what the jocks were going to do too the poor man. "Hedonism, that should be the main tenet of my made up religion." He would say to himself whilst waiting for the sparks to fly.

The girl quickly snatched her arm away from the man lacking the usual fear found in most people when their space was violated. The arrogance in her temperament was noticeable from a distance as she stared at the white haired man while also pulling her boyfriends arm forcefully. He words would remove all forms of concern from Toby upon hearing her high pitched annoying voice “damu-kun this Dirty old guy touched me.”. the young man wasted no time in turning around and poking out his steroid developed chest at the obviously disturbed fellow. The man wasted no time in speaking revealing his lack of sexual interest in the girl and showing an odd concern for her or rather all of their well being. “you should leave this place, you’re all in danger something is following you… it’s wants your women it wants your souls.”. the mans words struck a cord with Tobias as he was interested in the supernatural as of late, but the boys response to the man would over power his interest in what the man had to say. “beat it ya old perv before I beat you.”. Toby would think to himself “wow, guys says danger, you say perv.” he would shake his head in disapproval realizing the kid was about as buff in the brain as an aardvark.

He was disappointed at the boy not wanting to clock the old man, but what the kid said next was rather intriguing. There had been no obvious reference to Roshi, but he couldn't really discount the possibility that the old man could sense his spiritual body. *Well at least this confirms interaction is possible between the two realms.* He thought to himself with a little smirk crossing his face as he cocked a head to look at the old man. "Hey old fool if you can really see and hear me, then why don't you tell that girl. I am going to take her away from that dumbass boyfriend of hers and show her a real good time." He would say sniggering and wondering if the message would be relayed at all.

Fear would paralyze the man as he heard a voice in his ear, it was faint as if he were listening through a wall but loud enough to collide with his ear drums. His hands would clench tightly and his jaw would shiver in horror as the distortion of sound between worlds gave it a slight sinister tone. The old man would grab the boys jacket and pull him closely and scream loudly in his face insisting that he leave the entire district but his pleas would fall on def ears. “GET OUT, GET OUT NOW BEFORE SOMETHING HAPPENS TO HER VAGINA AND SHE GIVES BIRTH TO A DEMON!” the young mans would back up slightly attempting to break free from the man Hobo grip but failed to do so. Toby would watch as one of his friends made himself apart of the situation as he grabbed the old man by the shoulders and slung him in the direction of the door. “okay that was a jump in weirdness.” Toby would think to himself as he adjusted his position as if he were watching a good movie. As the man hit the door and fell outside the males in the pack of teens would all move outside and surround the man in an obviously hostile manner. Toby would reach in his pocket and remove the cost of his meal from his pocket and grab his duffel bag expecting something to pop off shortly judging form the sudden rise in hostility.

Roshi would burst out into laughter. "Old man you are certainly entertaining, but you should know that getting a woman pregnant is impossible for a spirit." He scratched his chin "At least I think it is." He said to himself as the old man got thrown out of the dinner. He was finally ready to try and achieve gain substance upon the mortal plane since he was now tired of observing the mortals. Roshi would step through the walls and outside into the darkness where he would concentrate upon his spiritual flesh trying to make it solid. His considerable willpower let him quickly enough solidify onto the ground as the hobo was thrown out onto his ass. "Hey old man, I'd give you a buck or something, but I don't really have any money on me at the moment." He would say as he stretched his spiritual flesh made reality. "Time to go preach too the sinners!" Roshi stated as he swept into the diner. "THE TIME HAS COME MY CHILDREN TO EMBRACE THE WILL OF GREAT JOUSHIN!"

The old man looked around in horror as he regained himself and noticed the he was surrounded. His eyes were filled with disappointment and fear as he said loudly but with slight tone of begging in his voice “you fools he’s not going to yell surprise first!” after he said this the voice would become real in the form of a tall man, his words went unnoticed by the young men as hey watched the old man point in fear at him as he entered the diner. “lo..” his words were cut short as the booted foot of Damu collided with his face instantly drawing blood. Before Toby could reach the door to prevent the situation from reaching this point the would bump into the tall fellow he failed to notice becoming corporeal. He would back up slightly and look up at the man realizing the difference in height, but it was the odd red shimmer just above his head that caught his attention for a second before he moved for the door neglecting to apologize for bumping to the man.

Roshi didn't much care about the man who bumped into him. His mind was solely focus upon the women who had congregated in a circle. He licked his lips at the heard mentality those women presented as he strode up too them. "Have you heard the light of Joushin?" He would say giving them a beaming smile that was just deflected off their pissy attitudes, but a preacher never gives up spreading the good word. "Before you dismiss me. I wanted to tell you all that you are fine practioner's of Orgirism." He would say getting a few odd looks mixed in with the looks of curiosity. "You see Orgirism does away with transcendentalism." He would see that word fly over their pretty little heads "It means you do not have to suffer what other faiths would call penance and prayer. Indeed, I can see you have given plenty of prayer already to the maker already." He drew in his breath "You see the maker wants you and I too take all of life's pleasures here and now. Do not worry about the future merely revel in the present and let the hedonistic lifestyle show your devotion too him." He would explain coaxing a few of the girls into smile towards his style of preaching. "What have you done to venerate the maker?" He asked the girl who had been touched on the rear. She would be his real target.

As he exited the door he dropped his duffel bag and reached inside as the third of the jocks began to assault the old man. His hand reached deep into the main section of the bag and grasped his equalizer. A smirk would come of his face as his fingers slid over the rubber grip of the slight modified 9mm glock he bought not even a month ago when passing through one of the friendlier districts of the city. As he removed it he would calmly take wide steps as he rounded them unnoticed and placed the gun against Damu’s temple saying calmly “can you beat a bullet?” after saying this he would remove a cigarette from his pocket and place it on the edge of his lips while awaiting the pause of his friends. As they noticed him and his weapon they all came to halt, Toby removed his Zippo lighter and flipped it’s top igniting the flame. As he rose it up to the tip of his cigarette and in hale deeply the old man would look up at him in confusion as if he had something out of place. Toby exhaled from his nostrils a burst of smoke before speaking to the group causing the cigarette to bounced with each word. “look I get it, you’re big as kicking turbo teens that screw hot girls. But the bravado is wasted on an old like that.” the old man began to stand slow but was pushed back down by one of the more fearless jocks closest to him. Machouse’s eyes locked onto the young fellow as he began his next statement “picking on the old guy is either going to get you shot or your girlfriends snatched up.” his words would bring their attention to the diner where they would notice the 6’3 brunette guy working his verbal magic on the young women who were becoming increasingly more interested.

"So you see to properly celebrate life and the maker's gifts, you need a guide. He does not want you to deny yourself far from it. He wishes you to explore his world and use all of your senses too the fullest whilst you enjoy yourself. There are no deadly sins, just the celebration of life in all of its forms." He would give a nod at the end of his speech giving the girls a wining smile and converting them to adherents to his faith. "Now, we should have a lecture on the finer points of Orgrism.." He would say trailing off as the jocks came back in and immediately got up in his face. "What the hell are you doing with our girls?!" Damu asked pushing Roshi; though, he hardly moved. "Excuse me ladies, I need to talk too your boyfriends. I will try not to ruffle to many feathers." He would say to them before turning his attention back over too Damu.

"Sir, I was merely indoctrinating these young women about the man gifts that the maker has given them, and how they can best use those gifts in celebration of life." He would say knowing the look of confusion on the jock's faces would keep them from attacking him for a little bit if they did attack that is.

Their instant turn in attention was a welcome sight as Toby lowered his gun and tossed it into his bag effortlessly without looking. His dark eyes would fall upon the old man who was hunched over in pain grabbing his ribs and holding his jaw with the opposite hand. “you okay old guy.” asked Toby before reaching in his pocket and removing an unused diner napkin from his pocket. The old man gently took it from his hand and placed it on his lips just after spiting out a combination of spit and blood onto the pavement. “no one ever listens to the warnings.” is all he would say before standing up straight. Looking Toby in the eyes. he would say with a noticeable surprised expression “your eyes…. You Can see can’t you.” Toby would stare at him in confusion before saying “since birth… couldn’t have helped you if I was blind.”

The old man shook his head and looked towards the newly solidified spirit and said calmly “doesn’t matter it’s already to late for them.” after saying this he would point into the diner making Toby aware of the growing situation. Toby would cross his arms as he looked and then look back to the old man to speak on the matter but the sudden outburst of sound from an unnamed jock grabbed his attention once again. “Look Guy take your jesus freaks, voodoo bullshit somewhere else!”. Damu would look to his friend in surprise but cosign soon after by placing his hand on the mans shoulder saying only “beat it… Bro and introduce yourself to the door.”

Roshi kept a genial smile on his face as he regarded the group of boys. He knew that his stronger physique gave him quite the edge over them, but they had the advantage of numbers. There was also the two trump cards of his magix and shifting in and out of the spirit world, which would let him beat them pretty quickly...at the cost of his newest converts. "Now, now gentlemen I am certain we can both use our minds here to resolve this situation if you take a moment to think clearly about it." He would say flashing pearly white smile at the boys "You have the advantage of numbers clearly, but I am sure that I would take several of you done on the way. I could even do enough serious damage to force hospital stays for those that I do take down." He then shifted a glance too the girls "Not to mention that the reason you came back here, to defend your right of getting some ass would be defeated since these girls are new adherents to the faith of Orgirism, so you be defeating your own goals by striking me."

“okay then” is all Toby would before walking back to his bag and grabbing the gun quickly and popping off a shot into the air. The people in the diner would react immediately with the normal shock of the average person. He watched there reactions and then turned to the old man with a crazed smirk on his face. “shit always makes me laugh.” after saying this he would point the gun at the door (not aiming for anyone in particular) and steady his aim with his free hand at the base of the guns grip. As he continued to aim he would pop a second shot and hit the metal of the door to create the illusion of attempted murder/manslaughter/battery whatever the crime was for shooting at someone. Two more shoots to alternate safe areas would cause the crowd of jocks and dolls to duck and run for cover even harder then their previous efforts before he lowered his weapon.

The Oni would remain impassive as the first shot rang across the diner, but then his reflexes took control dropping him too the floor. His immediate focus was finding a weapon which could be effectively used against the person with the gun, and he immediately selected one of the stake knives that had clattered too the ground amongst the chaos of the shooting. "My children revel in the emotions you are feeling right now. Let the adrenaline pour through you and experience the wonders of life on the edge." He would say too the girls as he started a crouch stalking moving up towards the entrance and waiting to see what the next move would be from the human that had shot the place up.

The old mans surprised stare was enough to force his crazed smirk back to his normal disinterested appearance before lowering the weapon. As he turned his back to the door and grabbed his duffel bag he would speak while proceeding to close the brown duffel “well I’m gonna jet before the police…” . the sound of sirens would stop him id sentence as well as the advancing blue and red lights. He wasted no time in disappearing into an ally behind the diner jumping into a dumpster clutching the duffel bag. The old man however would see this as an opportunity to get some well deserved rest. Having stood up straight he would hold up his hands and get face down on the ground while confessing to the shooting. The police however had been called for his beating and proceeded into the diner, a total of four officers.

Officer Lingberry: whose the fucker that started beating on the old guy.

The officer was standing 6’3 with an obvious love for performance enhancing drugs written across his over developed bear chest. His large arm reached out in a quick snap and grabbed up one of the jocks who happened to be the smallest of the bunch. “you look like you suffer from a short man complex, you start it up tough guy?” his rising hostility was noticeable in more ways then one as the old man stood outside in horror at what had arrived into the situation.

It seemed that whoever had shot up the place would have disappeared with the arrival of the police. Roshi found it interesting that they would come out here given that the lower commons were the slums of Sai City, so he figured that they must be corrupt in some way. A little smile crossed his face. "Yes, these were the hooligans that picked on the old man." He would say pointing out Damu and several other jocks, and surprisingly enough the girls would join in at pointing the finger at their dates. *Looks like they won't be getting anything tonight or for a long while.* Roshi thought to himself while listening to the officers.

Officer Lingberry would laugh out loud in a quick chuckle while grabbing up the short fellow by his collar. “God loves a snitch.” his fellow officers would smirk and nod in amusement. Lingberry would head butt the jock effectively dazing him and reducing his level of resistance to zero. “so it looks like I’m going to be avoiding paper work tonight. After saying this he would hit one of the other officers in the chest prompting him to get a move on while saying calmly “round em up”. after saying this he would leave the diner and head to one of the patrol cars. Damu would raise his hand in protest only to gain the reaction of having a gun pulled on him “DUDE ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS, YOU PEOPLE JUST GOING TO LET GET CURRUPT ON US.” to his surprise one of his own friends would say reluctantly “Damu we did kind of beat the shit out of an old guy.”. damu’s anger would get the better of him as he screamed yet again “WHAT ABOUT THE GUY WITH THE GUN?”

Roshi was stroking his beard while watching the officers take away the jocks. He was momentarily disappointed in not being able to convert them too his cause, but he could not win every ones souls to his new faith. "It is such a shame that I could not touch their souls in a meaningful way." He would say bowing his head in silent prayer to the ruinous powers he worshiped. The demon once again lifted his head and looked back towards his new flock "I guess we should get out of here and show you how to spread the word of orgerism."

As they were packed into each of the cars Damu would be given the specific and unfortunate gift of riding alone in the cat with officer lingberry. Unlike the other his hands were cuffed in the front granting him the ability to use them should the situation arise. Back at the diner the old man stood in the middle of the road and watched as the lights of the patrol cars disappeared into the distance. His eyes would turn back to the inside of the diner peering through the glass doors. His eyes would widen as he realized weather or not the spirit was manipulating this situation it was working out in his unholy favor. A group of elderly women humming tunes from their congregations personal album would be heard as they advanced behind him obviously heading for the diner.

Roshi would give his flock as smile and quickly ushered them out of the diner knowing their would probably be another visit from the cops for the shooting disturbance. There he would come across the old man, which he just gave a little nod towards. The old ladies congregation, which he just ignored. There wasn't much reason too stay around here, when he would be taking these ladies back too the clubs. "Well ladies what do you say about hitting the clubs once again?" He asked them.

The old women would hear his words and turn around as their nosy old bat ‘senses’ would tingle. The leader of these women would lift her head and turn around staring at the man with her twisted hyper righteous glare burning into his soul. He mouth would shiver at the realization she was given another opportunity to cock block. “clubs, Did you say your taking these young women back to the clubs. They obviously to young” their age was something she could easily determining having developed the skill over the last 30 years of merciless youth oppression. “you a grown man should be ashamed of yourself corrupting these young women.” the old man looking on would place his head in his hands realizing that he was before Jesus freaks and not actual individuals knowledgeable about the affairs of spirits and demons. He thought to himself “if she only knew how right she was shed shit her depends.” would echo in the old mans mind as he continued to watch the situation unfold.

Roshi gave the old biddies a calming smile as he stepped out to met them head on. "Now now my dear, we are merely practicing our own faith." He would say laying a hand upon the woman. "It was your own lord that called for understanding and tolerance of others. Do you really want to live down Jesus Christ's teachings by being intolerant of the teachings of others?" He would ask his grip on her hardening for just a moment as he leaned in "It may not look like it, but I am the angel Gabriel sent down too earth to Shepard these young women into the flock. They need to go down into the depths of sin before they realize how empty their lives are and call out for the succor of Christ." He whispered letting his eyes take on a whitish hue to lend credence to his story before leaning out once again. "Have we come to an understanding miss?"

Tobias had long since climbed out of the dumpster and headed north aiming to avoid the police completely as central booking was not on his list of places to visit before going home. Taking mainly allyes and back roads off of the main streets was his method of staying out of sight as he lugged his duffel bag behind him. Two quick lefts and one long alley later would place him in front of a fast food restaurant known for it’s less then beef burgers and salttastic fries. His dark eyes would roll as he turned in the opposite direction of the diner and continued on his northward advancement. The sighting of a cop car would quickly be spotted after his turn and caused him to pause in shock. Before he could place his dominate foot on the ground he would turn and head in the other direction with turbo power walk. His walking lasted for all of 45 seconds before the sick cracking sound of shifting bones captured his attention.

Meanwhile back at the diner the old nosey woman in her entourage had took to preaching their beliefs to the newly corporeal spirit. The waving of her hands and the quoting of bible passages taken drastically out of context was her main form of assault against his fledgling religion but only severed to make his way more appealing to the crowd gathering around their discussion/ argument. He wild waving and hostile aura was sadly successful in leading the righteous looking on from doubting their belief in whatever god they believed in. The old man watched in a horrified amazement at how ridiculous the woman sounded and was amazed that she lacked a demonic aura as she was pushing people towards demons with the ease and grace of an arch demon with a silver tongue and gold vocal box.

The old woman really was annoying, but she had created scene around them which he was not appreciative of. "Look ma'am, We are going to leave now. Don't bother us else the cops will be called, and they have already been called. They would not take kindly to old ladies who made up shit to feel important." Here he would lean in again for intimidation value "One of ones that got called down is notorious for police abuse. I'd be aghast to think what that man would do too you if people were forced to call the cops once again because we could not go our separate ways." Roshi then leaned back and took a step back too his flock and began ushering them away from the christians.

The old woman would stop talking and stare at him as he rebutted with threats of police officers or more specifically the calling of the districts most notorious officer. However potent the threat it would fail to get through her old closed off brain as she rose her purse and pointed it at his back and screamed at the top of her lungs… “you are the morning star in the flesh, Satan incarnate, LUCIFER THE TWISTED BUTT MASTER OF HELLS ANGELS!”. even the women with her were taken back by her words and made it a point to take a step back from her. A person in the crowd made it a point to say loudly “but he said he was Gabriel!.” a second voice shouted “stop cock blocking you old bitch.”. the woman would turn to the crowd and scream “HEATHEN ASS CUNT NUGGET.”. the old man would stare at her closely and notice quickly she was snapping due to the lack of back up she had in this godless area. The old man would move into the crowd and attempt to move in her direction to move to the diner and end the spectacle but as he reached out his hand time would freeze. The freezing of time was not literal but figurative since everyone focused on the same thing hitting the old mans hand just as he reached for the old woman.

A served blood head connected with the palm of his hand open hand as he reached out, it was quickly followed by one of the girls loud screams “BIFF!”. she was dressed and blue and now on her knees paralyzed with a combination of grief and fear as she stared at the severed head of one of the recently arrested jocks. The old mans head turned and looked towards the roof of the diner noticing shadowy figure of a hair covered beast. It appeared to be half man and half beasts with eyes that glowed as if reflecting the moons light despite it being absent from the sky. The crazed howl that was supposed to follow (as the old man instantly assumed it was a werewolf) was replaced by a rage filled roar. The roar itself was followed by the taunting words “I AM THE DEVIL IN THE FLESH!”. the crowd began to flee instantly moving in all directions as the beast stared down upon the old women.

He was close to losing it from the way the old ladies were acting, but the close pent up temper he felt from those old hags was quickly displayed by the sent of blood in the air at the same time one of his flock cried out. His blood immediately sang out a joyous chorus upon the mere thought of engaging in combat, but he wished to save his new found flock first and foremost. So, he would immediately dash over too the girl who had fallen down and picked her up and shoved her into the arms of her friends. "Run, I will hold them off." He would say letting an age old smile cross his lips as he immediately spun around his eyes immediately darted up too the rooftop of the diner. He looked around quickly trying to find a improvised weapon which he could use and quickly came up with a old lead pipe. It would do for his purposes. "Now, let's finally have some fun!" He sniffed the air and widened his large reflective yellow and black eyes and growled in anger. “you don’t even classify as a snack.” he said this before using all of his muscular power to launch himself in the man direction.

The demon made a side step out of the way and quickly brought the broadside of the wolf's head, but he could judge that if it hit, would be nothing more then a glancing hit.

The sounds of cracking bones and tormented voices did not cause Tobias to investigate but rather turn around and walk towards the police car. He would lift his clawed hand and place it on his head while whipping his body around forcefully saying only “REALLY!”. His hands would lower back into their previous position before he lunged and second time, only this time leading his attack with a rapid claw swipe attempting to gut him as he advanced forward. If successful he would merely take to eating the man alive instantly for being one of the annoying hero types. The old man frozen in fear watched the events unfold hoping for the mans to survive so he himself wouldn’t be focused on next.

The scourge needed to do something that the other one wasn't expecting, and that would be getting up into the personal space of the wolf. He brought the lead pipe up and deflected the next blow in series of swipes. There he would dive in with all of his might at the wolf's midsection to send him tumbling to the ground. He would use those few seconds of surprise and confusion to bring the pipe back down on top of the wolfs head before it could recover sufficiently. It would no doubt cause more damage but still didn't kill the thing as realizing the danger he was now in disengaged and started rolling away from the beast while it remained stunned from the blow that had been delivered.
