| InterSpace Public Press Release
Backstory: Realm2.0 is basically like the Internet. It was created and is engineered by a division within the Elgoog Corporation. Much like Realm1, it can be viewed regularly on a screen, cell phone, etc, but it goes a step further than that. It can be interactive meaning that you can immerse yourself into it and experience it in full 3D. You can walk around in it to navigate or teleport from one entrance zone to another by summoning a holographic digital keyboard with the your customized console phrase. The sky looks like an ocean and the environments change in appearance from place to place. It’s incredibly huge. It was nick named 2.0 because, not only was it the second release, but it was so realistic that it was like an alternative to living. Normally special electronic devices help you get into it through some type of neural connect via special visors, sensors, glasses, helmets, etc. It is a hub for information (i.e. Encyclowiki), shopping (Realmbay), blogs, news, etc. Companies use it for the virtual training employees and the storing of secured documents. It has been able to raise a culture of its own and allows the user to take on different appearances based on how they set up their account and avatar (this visual representation in Realm2.0). Realm2.0 is monitored, maintained and secured by the Elgoog Corporation and Internet Security in public sectors is HEAVILY enforced by Guardian Programs and Benevolent Nano Viruses.
Realm2.0 has its proper and improper uses. There used to be widespread debate over Realm2.0 and its ethics. Skilled cyberprogrammers found out they could make a lot of money creating Stimsims (Stimulating Simulation programs) that offered everything from virtual sky diving to sex simulations in BaqueDore Areas (pockets of Realm2.0 that are not heavily monitored that are opened by hackers or skilled programmers). Some areas cannot be teleported out of once you bypass its entrance zone. These areas are referred to unsafe zones (an entrance zone is like a homepage. But once you go into it, it’s like going into a building almost). Generally what happens in R2.0 cannot physically harm you (though some fighting and other type games can simulate physical response up to a user preset threshold), but some people have suffered phenomena where the connection to the real world is severed and their body enters a vegetative state with their mind trapped within the realm. The consciousness that is left behind when his happens is referred to as a Ghost. Most of the time, Elgoog is able to restore Ghosts to their host bodies, or they are automatically terminated them if the host dies. Hackers have found a way to execute programs that induce a high to the user creating R2.0 Junkies. Elgoog has banned this type of activity and actively keeps it out of the public (non BaqueDore) zones. Private zones (corporate zones) are no access and heavily secure.

The public news release is as follows:
“Don’t go into Realm2.0… bring Realm2.0 to you! The InterSpace division of the Elgoog Corporation has cleared two new Realm2.0 interface systems for release. Introducing ElectricWolf and CyberTraveler. These innovating new systems now merge together Realm2.0 and reality mixing together holographic and teleportative technologies at an affordable price. As a shopper, you can walk into a virtual store or booth, make a purchase, and receive your item instantly in real time. Realtyme browser technology builds an interactive holograph environment and allows you to interact with holographs of items and objects as if they were actually there. TelePort technology allows inanimate objects to bring holographic images to life. Buy a purse on the spot when you’re pressed for time before a date. Pick up a magazine while sitting in your living room chair. The possibilities are endless with the new ElectricWolf and CyberTraveler browsers.”
InterSpace Ordering:
Realm2.0 Subscription A one-time cost to be able to access Realm2.0 from a personal computer or any type of interface that allows it. Realm 1 access is free to the public. Cost: $100
ElectricWolf Installation Enter Realm2.0! This is able to create a holographic environment of Realm2.0 large enough to fill a room with the proper equipment set up. It is non mobile and is normally installed in one room in a building. Cost: $100 per paycheck
CyberTraveler Interface Enter Realm2.0 on the go! A mobile device that is able to create an “area” of Realm2.0 as small as a CD or as large as about the size of a closet. Good for on the go browsing. Cost: $200 per paycheck
Quest:
First Dive Now that you have secured a Realm2.0 subscription and the hardware needed to run it, log on for the first time and set up your account, what your avatar looks like, your neural sensing thresholds and browse around. Location: Global |
