Adrian's body was clad in the traditional robes of the Shugenja as he came within sight of the shrine of Tsukino. The long black kimono, red sash, tabi socks, and sandals fit him just well. He walked with the mask of Fu Leng over his face as he usually did since his flight from the layer of his enemies after slaying his trainers. He sought advice this evening, the moon full in the air as he walked. Goranova was set into his sash. The Devi's Teardrop was elsewhere acting as a grave marker. He walked with the balanced stride of a warrior, though it was heavy, an indication of confusion.

He glanced left and right as he entered a small clearing, his eyes shifting quickly as his head turned slowly. He was seeking something but not sure what. Natsuki had told him this was a beautiful shrine and that meant that it was well cared for. That meant there was something feeding off of it's energy. So while he wasn't sure what to be on guard for he moved patiently toward the shrine itself. Kneeling before it he drew Goranova from it's sheath. Raising it up above his head he extended his arms to their full height before driving the crystal blade into the ground in front of him. With the sword secured in place his hands clasped together in front of his face. His fingers made a shinto seal, his eyes closing behind the mask as he waited.

"Spirits of this shrine. I seek guidance in this an hour that seems the darkest. Please reveal yourselves..." he prayed.

He wasn't expecting a response from whoever might have been there, but he needed advice and he couldn't go to Hild for it. He had to find a path before he could walk it. And Hild's path was shadowed and impossible to observe.

The night is soundless. The grass in the opening is short and stone steps lead up to the Shrine’s gate. The shrine walls are high and pure white with no signs of any wear. A few moments pass and it seems that Adrian’s pray goes unheard. Only when Adrian is about to give up does the door of the wooden gate crack open. A small black house cat, with an odd symbol on the top of its forehead, walks out and sits in front of the gate. Its Golden eyes look at him as its whips back and froth. Finally the cat stands back up walks back into the gate as it opens reviling a stone walkway in the middle of a stone guardian. Several large rocks have a rope around it with small tags hanging onto it. The cat walks up the steps of the wooden temple, stopping at the double sliding doors. In side the floor is well polished and six shrines line each wall and one at the end of the large open room. The one at the end has a bamboo blind hanging in front of it. The lower half of a woman were a black kimono with a white haori setting on a red pillow can be seen.

Rising he drew goranova from the ground, before swinging it, to rid it of the dirt clumped to the blade. Spinning it in his hand he reversed the direction of the slash, slipping the sacred blade into the sheath at his side. Walking through the gates, he followed the cat. He was used to spirits sending messengers or even animals showing him the way. They were more in tune with the sacred world than humans were. Humans had learned to forget the ways of the spiritual path, and now it seemed that the spirit world was out for revenge.

He followed the cat through the garden, not cautious at all. If it was time for him to die, then so be it. But he would not draw his blade in this sacred place. He didn't take his eyes off the cat as he followed it. He moved into the room with the hanging blind, and stopped just outside of ten feet. His hand moved to Goranova, gripping the sheath before drawing it from the red sash he wore. Dropping to his knees he set his sword down, at arms length before bowing, his hands pressing to the floor as he waited to be acknowledged.

The door to the temple closes behind Adrian. The woman set there for a moment, her gaze can be felt through the blind. Though he face was hidden by the shadows she appears to be middle age if that. Her long black hair drapes the white haori and runs off onto the floor around her. The cat comes to sit in between Adrian and her. “Why is it that you have come to my temple hunter?” The sweet voice of the priestess fells the dimly lit room when the question is asked.

"I seek guidance. I fear that mankind will fall to the forces of jigoku, and that I will not have the strength to help stop them. I fear that there are not enough in this world with the strength to do any form of damage to their forces." he said, honestly. "But I fear most that I will be but an instrument of humanity's demise."

He had been thinking since his flight from the temple and that was something his 'goddess' wouldn't like. Adrian would serve but he also had his own reasons for it all. He had sworn to protect the people closest to him and he would, even if it meant becoming a demon himself.

The female form behind the bamboo bind shifts, “You have a lot of fears for someone so you. I am not the best person to be seeking guidance from. I have done many things that most would consider to be wrong or evil even. I will tell you one thing that I have learned. There is no evil and there is no good. There are only points of view. The true question is, do you believe that the path you follow is the right one? If you do then you should follow it regardless of it being considered right or wrong in the eyes of others.”

The masked male, sat there not very happy to hear the words that she'd said. While it was true he would have prefered to have heard something else he wouldn't hold it against her. He sighed as he raised his head, looking at the woman behind the screen. He smiled gently as he thought of Natsuki.

"I guess she was right about this place. If you'll excuse me. I have work to do." he said, before rising to his feet.

Turning he walked away, not waiting for an answer as he slipped his sword into the sash around his waist. If she were going to stop him she could do it easilly.
