"Wipe clean the powers of darkness, and purify this land!" Adrian said, raising his arms over his head.
He felt the stream of mana flood his arms and expel outwards, sutra scrolls forming in mid air before spreading around the area he was in. He breathed slowly as he stood there his eyes closing as he let his body begin to recover after casting the demonic counter spell. It could only last so long but the only way to measure that amount of time, was to cast it and wait. But someone would have to be present to push the spell to it's limits. That was what his master was there for.
A master spirit blacksmith and a master spell caster the old man, known to his friends as Pokku, was more than willing to help his apprentice master his arts. With a nod from the masked male, the demon in the guise of an old man began to chant and weave his arms in a rather strange pattern. His eyes narrowed as he stared at the sky. Adrian's eyes cast upwards, watching the skies darken, before he felt that familiar demonic power crashing down on the area. Lessened, yes. But not neutralized by the resistance spell he'd cast. Hie eyes closed as he felt the shock wave strike him, pulse through his system.
He winced as he felt the pain shoot up his spine. His knees nearly buckled, would had if he hadn't reduced the damage that the spell did. It had draining effect, but it was not powerful enough to fully drain the power of the spell. And the fact that Adrian had felt this spell at full strength and survived not once but several times, was smoething he believed helped to toughen his body. Like the saying goes, "That which does not kill me makes me stronger." This was a saying Adrian believed in fully. And like now this was a perfect time to test his theories.
"Alright. Will you try another spell?" Something other than demonic arts? I want to know what's weakened within this field." the masked man said, watching his master.
"Very well." the old man said before beginning a chant.
"Only advanced magicks. Nothing that might bring my home down as well, if you'd please." he asked, before motioning to the old man to begin.
The old demon just laughed and shook his head. If he hadn't been assigned to watch and train Adrian he never would have put up with the human. But he had been paid for his efforts. Training the boy was part of the deal, in crafting, swords, and sorcery. It was the job he'd accepted and since the boy showed promise it was something he worked toward. He just didn't like when the human got out of place. Adrian was a powerful human, there was no denying that. And with very few of them mastering any form of the Spiritual Arts it was something he would put up with. But Adrian had a long way to go to beat the sword smith.
