Enjoying Some R&R

Lifting the half filled cup from the small table, I bring it to my lips and take a sip of it before slowly lowering the cup and letting it rest back upon the table as I shift my gaze around the room once again. After scanning over the people in the Cherry Blossom I let my gaze fall back to the food resting on the table as well. Taking the chopsticks I maneuver them into place and pick up another piece of fish and lift it from the plate before taking a bite of it. After taking a bite of fish I begin to chew the bit in my mouth as I start to think about my time spent in this realm and the things I still seek to accomplish. Through my travels I have yet to come across the people who had shot me before so they must be back in there time, unfortunately. Not only have I been unable to find them, I have not had much time to search for the demon that lead to my downfall before and the priestess Kazakura that seemed to be with him. As I begin to think more on Kazakura and the others I now seek I begin to let out a growl but before it can grow to loud I shake my head. Shifting my attention I take another bite of my meal and focus more on the food and drink before me to enjoy the meal and keep from growing to angry.

Izuya makes his way through the streets of Tura Mura. He heard wind of this place through his travels, and it was his goal to make sure he visited almost every important human settlement in the past realm. Not only was it needed in order for him to warp to it quickly, thus negating his need to have to do annoying things like walk, run, or fly, but it also was a good way to sight see and experience new areas. Overall, he found the town a bit fishy (pun) with the smell of the sea and the loads being brought in from it. It was obvious to tell what their main export was in this village. The huts were cute and it seemed to be a popular trade area, but nothing interesting had happened yet to gain Izuya’s attention. His mind wanders back onto Seijin as a grin forms on his face. While in his thoughts, he feels something different, but like him. “Ah, another one,” he would almost automatically notice, since it was odd to find Oni’s hanging out in this realm. In sensing range, the other should be able to feel him as well if he just so happened to randomly feel out at odd intervals as Izuya did. He couldn’t decide if he’s felt this feeling before since it kind of felt similar to the signature of one of the demons at the battle of Sai Village, but still seemingly unique. Deciding that it wouldn’t hurt to have a look, he walks in the direction that he felt the other individual. His steps eventually lead him to a place called ‘The Cherry Blossom.’ Izuya stands in front of it with his hands in the oversized sleeves of his light blue kimono with dark blue waist sash. His gaze is up at the sign above the establishment before it lowers and he walks in. Without saying a word Izuya comes to the table where Valkrist was sitting. He takes the seat opposite him and rests his elbow on the table, propping his face up with his hand as he greets with a large smile and closed eyes, “yo!”

Enjoying Some R&R

While taking another sip of my tea I begin to sense the presence of another demon in the area. As I begin to sense the demon I start to tense up as I begin to think on who it could be, not sure if it is friend or foe. As I tense up I begin focusing on the signature and as I focus on the signature I start to recall the signatures of other demons I have encountered in the past as well as the one of my boss, if you could call him that. As I focus on the signature and try to find a match for it I come up with a blank which causes me to frown. Since the demon's signature didn't fit any of the others I have encountered I had no clue if this one was a friend or a foe, though it seemed like I would be finding out soon since the presence continued to move closer to my location. As the figure giving off the demonic presence moves through the door I life my gaze, glancing at the male, shifting my gaze over his form for a moment in search of any type of weapon that may be on his person. I keep my gaze on the man for a moment as he begins to move towards my table. Shifting my gaze from the man I set my cup back onto the table and lower my arms, letting one slip down below the table and down to the sword resting at my side. When he takes a seat at my table opposite of me and speaks up I lift my gaze and look to him, glancing over his face for a moment before speaking up, " Hello, is their something I can help you with? "

Thoroughly amused by the reaction drawn from Valkrist, he giggles lightly at the words and comments, “aren’t you a feisty one? Relax, you don’t always have to think of things in terms of friend or foe.” He leans back and reclines in a relaxed manner on chair he was sitting. He shrugs with his face down and both hands up as he continues, “I’m as you see, I have no weapons on me so you can take your hand off of your sword and go back to enjoying your tea.” His hands lower to his lap as his gaze lifts back up and he speaks, “so you know what I am and I know what you are. Let’s be friends. Now I already know you’re not the type to trust people, so that’s fine. Let’s start off slow with conversation? I’m Izuya! Now I’ll bet I can guess your name without you telling me? Ne? Want to try it?”

Enjoying Some R&R

Keeping a calm look about my face I watch the male as he lets off a light giggle before he begins speaking. With my hand still resting beside my sword I take a moment to think on what he has to say, though he was true, that was his way of thinking, for me, everyone was a potential foe, even those I work for. At first I keep my hand resting next to my sword as he points out that he has no weapons and that it is alright to take my hand from my weapon. It isn't until he lowers his hands into his lap that I finally draw my hand from my sword and bring it back up onto the table. Turning my gaze from him I glance down at my cup of tea and pick it up. Listening to him as he speaks once again I bring the cup up and take a sip from it. When he comments about being friends I turn my gaze back to him and frown faintly. Did he seriously want to be friends having no clue who I even am. As he continues on I let out a soft sigh before finishing off the rest of my tea and setting the empty cup down as I begin to speak, " Izuya huh. " I say as I look over the male once again, " I don't know about being friends, but I don't have anything I need to take care of at the moment so we can chat a bit. And, if you think you can guess my name, be my guest. "

Izuya gives a cheerful not as his demonic table partner confirms his name. With a chuckle in his voice, he comments, “I figured you say that, Valkrist.” He would give a little wink after saying his name before leaning up, taking his focus off of Val completely and to a waitress as he motions for her to come to the table. He would wait for her to approach before requesting a cup of tea as well. She informs him that it would be right out, and with a smile, he sends her along her way to do this bidding. Turning back to Val, he comments, “Val-kun… what’s your story… what are you doing here? Look around you, there’s not many of us here. You’re in Tura Mura sitting in a café drinking tea. You’re a demon. Are you the type that has embraced the human’s way of living?” The question was really just to get him thinking about various things; what he actually said wasn’t too important to me. He seemed like a quiet one, so Izuya figured he would pretty much have to squeeze information out of him. The war was a good topic; he would see next if Valkrist knew anything about the human’s recent plight.

I didn't think this demon would know my name, I don't believe I have come across him in the past, unless it was before he gained his human form, but that was highly unlikely. Though as he speaks my name I frown faintly since he seemed to know my name when he seems like a complete stranger to me. Was he sent here by Krodha to keep tabs on me and watch over me or does he possess some ability to read minds.. Staying my tongue, I glance at the waitress after she comes over to take his order, my thoughts still on Izuya and how he could possibly know my name. When Izuya turns his attention back to me I look at him with a relaxed expression and listen as he begins to speak. When he finishes speaking I give a faint shrug as I speak up, " I'm just someone trying to get by, doing what I enjoy doing. Does a demon need more of a reason then that? ". Pausing for a moment, a more serious expression begins to form on my face as I look at Izuya, " You wouldn't mind telling me how you happen to know who I am, would you? "

Izuya becomes internally amused at the confusion caused to the other demon. A little bit of information is gained about Krodha who looked similar to the male at the battle of Sai Village. When he speaks Izuya rests his chin on the back of his wrist looking towards Valkrist almost like a girl with a crush. “Hmm…” he murmurs lightly to the explanation of his actions. When the question is posed to him Izuya comments “Yes.” It was a blunt way of stating that he did, in fact, mind telling him. Moving on to clarify Izuya comments, “I’m from the present realm, a place I’m assuming you’re from too. I’m just wandering about as well and looking for new people and things. I’m an information dealer, you see. When you ask me how I know your name, that means that I’ve got to give you information, and because that’s my job, I can’t simply give it to you for free, now can I? Now, if we were friends, then that would be different.” He looks up with a smile as waitress returns with his tea. He chirps a ‘thanks’ to her as she bows and then walks away. Reaching for the tea that was set in front of him, he comments, “though I have been seeing a lot of us from the present lately, especially at the recent war against Sai Village… have you heard of it?” With the question posed, Izuya would lift the cup of tea to his lips to sip from it.

Keeping my gaze on Izuya I await his answer as I watch his reaction and the actions he takes. He seemed like a strange one, though he spoke of being friends I still couldn't think of that at the moment, he knew who I was and I had no clue who he is so he is either friend or foe and for the time being I can only thing of him as leaning more towards foe until he proves himself friend, if he can. As he begins to speak I listen and wait for the answer I seek if he chooses to give it to me, if not I may have to use other means to get it. What he has to say isn't exactly the type of answer I sought though I remain seated and listen to what he has to say. So he dealt in information.. I could see how such a man could come in handy if he possessed the right type of information one sought. Being someone of a businessman myself, only dealing with a different type of business, I understood where he was coming from, the information he possesses is worth something to someone and at the moment the reason why and how he knows my name is something I seek to know. As he shifts back to the topic of being friends I keep my gaze fixed on him as I begin to toss the idea around, if we were 'friends' would he offer me some sort of deal on the information I seek. When the topic shifts to a war I pause for a moment, realizing I had no knowledge of such an event taking place even though it is something I would like to take part in. It would seem that I have been gone to long and missed some rather fun events. " No, I have heard no such thing of a war against Sai Village, though I have not been keeping up with events.. Who are the major players in this war? " I ask, again seeking information from Izuya, information I knew he had since he seemed to know about the war.

Izuya’s smile slides to a sinister grin as he rests one elbow on the table, once again leaning into Val as he admits, “this is public knowledge! Because of that, I’ll give you this information for free.” He leans back and speaks casually as he informs, “Sai Village was attacked by a horde of undead demons… it was quiet the experience. Of course, I didn’t fight in such a thing… you see, I’m not the warrior type. I actually hate fighting, it’s so ugly. But anyway, the humans were able to push back the invaders.” Now I would get to see if he knew any of the major players by scanning his thoughts while I spoke of them stating, “the humans had a strong priest who seemed rather important. He was an older guy who might have led the temple. There was a priestess there, a pure little thing by the name of Seijin. There was a teal haired boy by the name of Seiki who managed to take out the entire army singlehandedly at one point… but alas they were undead. There was a fire demon named Jaine who arrived late with someone named Mukhya… or you may know him as Krodha, unless there’s someone with that name who looks exactly like him. Hmm… what else… the tealed hair boy’s sensei was there, she was quite an impressive little thing, very sexy. But I think that might wrap up everyone who was there. We’re still not sure how the war came to the end, the demons simply turned into ash.”

Again he begins to speak and as he starts I don't exactly like the way he blurts it out, though it all seems to mellow out in the end as he informs me that he will give this information to me for free. It was a relief that he was willing to give this information to me for free, though he was right it would be public knowledge, just something I had yet to hear about. As he begins to speak I begin to recall before when the human settlement had been attacked and I helped fight against the demons attacking them. I couldn't help but smirk faintly at his opposal to fighting, he didn't come off as the type to fight. As he goes on I nod faintly at what he has to say, my thoughts shifting to the humans I had encountered before, wondering if the priestess from before had taken part in the fight. Taking in the information as he speaks I think on each of the players he mentions and recall knowledge of the people I have encountered here to see if they fit any of them. The first didn't ring any bells at and first the mention of a priestess began to sound interesting, though it turns out to not be the one I had met before, but perhaps one I would like to... meet. As he begins to mention a teal haird boy I begin to think about one such person I met and at the mention of his name I knew exactly who he was talking about and from the sounds of it, it seems he has gotten stronger. As I think on Seiki I dwell for a moment on the human that had shot me before and the human girl I had kidnapped. The mention of demons makes me more interested, though I didn't know the two he mentioned until he brings up the name of the man I work for, Krodha. At the mention of his name images of the man come to mind and a hint of anger appears on my face, I hadn't seen him since the time I had helped him with the kidnapping and ended up getting injured. There seemed to be no mention of the white haired demon that I had encountered before, the one that had tried to end me before, the one I seek to 'meet'. Though the mention of a sexy female draws my thoughts away from the white haired demon. As he finishes I give a faint nod, " I see.. It seems I have missed a lot in my absence. "

Izuya leans back and gets stiff holding both hands over his mouth like a school girl who’s just heard some super juicy gossip. “Eeee!” he squeals on the new information given to him. The best part about reading people’s thoughts was that they did not lie. He was delighted in his mind about the fact of how small the words were that he would run across someone who knew the Commissioner of Division 12, he must’ve gotten around. On top of that, that same Commissioner was the one who killed Val in a previous body. Furthermore, Val also knew and did things with Akera, whom Izuya had semi intimate knowledge of, among other juicy tidbits. Izuya would keep this knowledge to himself and compose, leaning back forwards with a coy smirk on his lips. “Yes… yes you have…” Izuya comments, “we’re going to have to get you re acquainted with current events. I think I can help you with several things. Now, previously I mentioned that information came at a cost. You do not seem to want to be my friend, and that is fine. I mentioned earlier that I do not like to fight… I’m actually very weak. If I can employ your services for protection time and time, I think we’ll be able to help one another out. I’ll be at your service and all you have to do is protect me from time to time. Does that sound like something that would interest you?”

I watch Izuya as he shifts back and covers his mouth before making a strange sound. He was starting to seem like an odd one.. A I watched him I let out a faint growl as I lean back into my seat, keeping my gaze fixed on him as I begin to think about him more and what type of benefits I could gain from keeping him around, aside from the knowledge he holds. He seemed to know the one I work for, perhaps he has information that I don't know about Krodha, though now it seemed as if he was going by another name. As he speaks once again I listen to him and I continue to listen, glad to hear that he is going to help me catch up on current events since I have fallen behind on the goings on of this time. As he goes on the conversation shifts and begins to get down to business. At the mention of him being weak I smirk faintly, glancing over him once again before returning my gaze to his face. So he wished for me to be his bodyguard when the time comes? That sound's simple enough, I'll get the information I seek along with being able to kill more. " Indeed, that does sound interesting to us. And it sounds like something I can handle with ease. Now that we have that out of the way, do you require my services at the moment? Since you seem to possess information I am after it would seem that I shall be helping you for time time being, that is if you need it. "

With a satisfied smile, Izuya assures him, “I haven’t pissed anyone off yet, but who knows I might. I guess it would be very convenient of there was a way for me to call or summon you, but that would make things to simple. Do you have somewhere that you live? I’m skilled in teleportation, so if I know where you’re normally at, I should be able to pop in if I need your help. I’m glad you are open to helping me though. Please look after me in the future…” He gives a deceitfully kind closed eye smile before lacing his voice with his powers of Influence setting in a very subtle hypnotic suggestion causing Valkrist’s eyes to tint purple for a moment as he states, “…make sure to protect me as if your life depended on it... like I was your only son.” The suggestion would be planted with his words to be activated whenever Valkrist was around Izuya when he seemed to be under attack or in trouble. Valkrist’s eyes would return to normal, though he should not remember the last portion of Izuya’s words, just the part about looking after him. Nothing would change between Izuya and Valkrist, since Izuya was not in immediate danger.

It seemed as if I would not be getting the information I seek right now, unless I use my method of getting the information from someone, and that can be arranged. As he questions me about where I stay, I pause for a moment and think on the question. I did have a place back at Krodha's base, though I had not been back there since I had left and now when I need a place to rest, I simply rest. While listening to him I continue thinking on his question about where I live, unsure if it would be right to have him simply pop up in Krodha's base since I didn't know the relationship between the two. As he requests that I look after him in the future I give a nod of acknowledgement. If it meant I get the information I seek then I can deal with protecting his life and killing people, he was a simple business man with goods I want. " There is a place where I did stay, though I left there a while back and haven't returned... That was really only the true place where I stayed. For the most part I've been roaming around this land. I have visited almost every place in this land, even places one of our kind should not be allowed. " I say, recalling the time I went to the temple and ended up getting shot by one of the humans that I still hunt for. " Is there a place you have here in this time? "

There seemed to be some type of misunderstanding in Val’s mind that Izuya picked up on that he would clarifies as things went on, as for the immediate question, he would speak candidly, “well, I live in the present realm. I have an apartment… if you’re into that type of thing… I’m pretty sure we can find a place to set you up? But, you don’t seem like the type who would live in the present realm. I’m pretty certain there are some places here that will take in our types. I have heard of Mandira and Domenence as places where they’re suspected to have demons. You can always build a hut or something… you look like you’re good with your hands…” After a slight pause and a lingering gaze Izuya correct, “oh yeah… by the way, since I have your word, I’ll give you information and help you our freely on credit. Think of it as we’re contracted to one another, so feel free to ask me whatever you need. If it’s fun, I can help you with a few thing as well, I’ll try my best!” His head tilts to the side in the reassuring smile he offers.

As he begins to speak I stick on a single thing he said, though continue listening to what he has to say. Shifting thoughts I begin to think on the 'present realm' he spoke of. That is where Kameko and the other humans I encountered here are from.. I let out another low growl as I think about the two that shot me... Perhaps I should go to the 'present realm' and see if I can find either of these humans and perhaps Kameko. At the mention of Mandira I frown faintly, it seemed he knew of the place where I came from, or at least had a home, if you could call it that, at. It seemed now we may have a place to meet up at. As he shifts the topic and begins to ask what information I would like from him at this point in time, offering it for free, I take a moment to think on the topic. " I know of Mandira... I have a place there, the leader, Krodha is my 'employer'. So if you have been there, then you have a place where you may find me. " With that out of the way I shift back to the topic at hand now that I have a question for him, " Since you didn't answer me before.. I would like you to tell me exactly how you know me. There are only a few ways one would know of me.. And most of them require running into specific people. "

“That’s your question?” Izuya inquires with a bit of a giggle. He clarifies does clarify that he’s never been to Mandira before; this wasn’t the venue for that. Instead he comments, “I don’t know you, I simply know of you. Like I said before, I am an information dealer, so when I come across information, I have a really good memory. Some of the people I’ve mentioned to you already know you; therefore it would be easy for me to decipher your identity. I’m not sure if you’ve looked into a mirror lately, but you are a very distinct person. On top of that, you’re in this realm and you’re a demon.” Izuya leans forwards and taps his head, “it doesn’t take a rocket scientist, you know.” He leans back and grins. His hand comes to his tea and he pulls his head back, drinking from it before sitting the cup back onto the table with a refreshed sigh. “Well,” he states, “that was a lovely tea. Since you haven’t protected me from anything yet, do you mean if my tea is on your tab?”

I give a faint nod as he questions my desire to know how he knows me, frowning faintly at the giggle. As he begins to explain how he knows of me I listen and frown a bit more. So he didn't know me exactly, simply of me.. from other people. As he brings up my appearance I glance down at my clothing for a moment and give a faint nod to him stating the fact that I am a demon. When I feel the tap to my forehead I quickly lift my gaze and glare at Izuya, " I see... " I say, the glare fading from my face as I watch Izuya. Falling silent for a moment I continue watching Izuya and when he requests that I put his tea on my tab I frown faintly, " Yes. I can take care of it. Though, would you be willing to tell me who exactly you have come across that told you of me? "

Very amused by this point, Izuya smiles, “you are really into details aren’t you? Man… chill out.” He waves Val off passively, ignoring the question before his eyes widen before he leans forwards and comments, “is someone after you perhaps? Are you paranoid of something bad happening to you?” For a moment he pauses, “or… are you hiding from your baby momma?” He leans back and assure, “I can help you with all of that! But… that will have to be another conversation. I’ve given you enough information for you to have to show me something in return. There’s no work now, so since our tab is squared, I shall be taking my leave! I do look forward to seeing you in the future!” By the time his lips finished says the words, he was already gone in the blink of an eye with no indication on which way he had gone. It was like he had never been there in the first place.

I frown faintly at his comment, though it seemed I did seek the details of how he found out about me from. He seems to ignore my question, which only angers me, though I hold back on taking any violent action against him. As he continues speaking I growl faintly at the insinuation he was throwing around. The humans from the future did pose a threat with the level of technology they possessed, them and the demon that I encountered before. If the humans knew who I was then that may be a problem in the future, they may end up coming after me looking for revenge for what I had done to the female. It seemed like he wasn't going to answer me this time, not until I did something for him, though there is no telling when that would happen. Before I could respond to what he had to say he seemingly vanishes before my eyes. With his sudden disappearance, I glance around for a moment before letting out a light sigh. I couldn't sense him anywhere with in range so I knew he must be gone to the future or somewhere out of sensing range, either way he had left me in peace to my business, until he came around again. With Izuya gone for the time being I turn back to enjoying some peace and quiet.
