.Shadowed Flesh [Bonding Quest / Sentience Part 2]

A couple days after my run in with the canine demon and I'm healed up. Yume's healing powers help alot. Though I got scolded like crazy for getting hit like I did. Not my fault entirely. I was trying to get stronger is all. I already feel a bit more skilled with my new naginata. I mean I still got some work to do on it. But hey.. Baby steps work just fine for me. I can see Jyn's frowning face in my thoughts and I giggle as I hop over a fallen tree. I didn't mention where I was going today. I got my paycheck and then headed out. If I mentioned to Yume that I was going into the forest to meet with a demon friend.. Well aquintance.. She would have flipped out just a bit. I smile a bit at this thought process. Yume really is the only person who has ever cared for me like I was a part of her family. I reach back and pat the naginata on my back. Soon it will be bound to me and it will make fighting so much easier. I won't have to worry about carrying it in public.

I pause and take a sip from the water bottle I brought. Its a bit warm. I enjoy the silence around me. The trees surround me and my heart twists. I honestly wonder if I should have returned to this time. I.. I miss the forests of the past. Even the village in which we stayed. It was peaceful. And I could travel.. And train. I chew my lower lip for a moment. I wonder if it would be bad if I headed back for just a short time. Not long. Just.. To immerse myself for a moment. And it would be a fun venture and training expedition. I'd have to ask Yukina for a vacation though. And who knows how well that will go. Course I could say I'm going for the good of Div12 or some made up crap. I'm pretty good at making up shit. I shrug. We'll see I suppose.

I place the bottle of water back into the medium sized messenger bag I brought with me this time. No point in getting thristy or hungry. I continue my trek, my eyes searching for a certain 'pet'. I wonder how the old demon is doing. I wonder what tattoo I should get this time. I place my hands into the hands into the pockets of my jeans as I walk and turn over what I want for my naginata's tattoo. I also have to think of a name. Unlike my other blades... I haven't heard anything from the naginata. Kind of saddens me. It would have been nice to have a new spirit to converse with. Perhaps even learn things from. I shrug a bit to myself and let the sounds of the forest surround me.

Golden rays of sunlight filter downwards overhead through the treetops in the lighter areas of the forests as Shiori treks way through it. During the day in this area, the light spirits lingered about, but the larger heathen ones rested until more along the lines of evening. The path to the dark apprentice would be no secret to the dwellers of the forest and those who had been there before. As Shiori nears the location, a clearing is available that portrays a large cottage with a “lawn” decorated casually with various bones, bits and pieces. Before reaching the clearing, the chimera would already have sensed Shiori’s approach and would wait at the tree line for her arrival. Having seen her, the three headed beast remembered her as a patron of the paying caliber; something his master liked. This time she would be saved the battle royal that normally ensued with a visit to this location. Aside from the chimera waiting for her at the tree line, nothing else would be moving about the yard clearing as the whereabouts of the dark apprentice would not be visually apparent as to whether he was in the house or out at the moment.

I catch sight of a couple of light spirits playing in the sun dappled forest. It makes me smile a bit and then I have the urge to crush them. I stop, blinking in surprise at that sudden bloodlust. But I've been dealing with it for some time now. Ever since I claimed Jigoku's blade as my own. It only got worse when he was melded to my soul. I take a calming breath. How odd though. I have never wished to crush such innocence. My eyes flick up to the tree tops, the sun filtering down to the forest floor. Maybe I just need to get out more and train. I have kept myself cooped up for far too long. Jyn flashes through my mind. I smile. But I did it because I wanted to be with Jyn. I don't regret it.

I feel better and continue. It takes me nearly half a day before I find myself reaching a familiar clearing. A smile pulls itself onto my lips as I see Fluffy, the ever watchful chimera. I step into the clearing. "Hello, Fluffy," I chirp and head for the cottage. "Your Master in today, hmm? Cause I have another job I would like done," I say tot he beast, not caring that it can't answer me back. I give each head a pat then I dig into my messenger bag and pull out three squeaky balls. "Here you go guys," I say and set the balls down on the ground for each head to pick its own. I step up to the cottage and knock, only for the door to open in an eerie manner. I give it a bit of a glare. If he is trying to scare me.. I swear..

I step within and look around. "Hello?!" I call out, a hand resting on my hip, the other reaching up to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear.

“Goooooaaaallllll!” rings out from the room beyond the entrance room. The doorway to the next room in the old cottage was open revealing an old and worn room, with a large visual screen situated on the wall. A very nice rug lies on the ground in a circular manner with a single lazy boy reclining chair situated in the middle of the room. In a dark cloak covering his form from head to toe, the dark apprentice would be watching what appeared to be soccer in the comfort of his home with no explanation to how he was able to get cable way out here. Hearing something, he leans up quickly and looks to the doorway where he can see that someone had entered. His senses come about him and he recognizes the signature as he glides his way towards the doorway and greets Shiori. “Ah, so you have come back,” he welcomes in a cryptic manner. The naginata would be a hard thing to conceal as it would seem to already have garnered his attention. Walking as he spoke, towards the kitchen area, he leads the way and motions for her to follow as he continues, “I trust you have come bringing me some money? Here to get more weapons bonded?”

I jump, startled by the sudden outburst. I blink and step within a bit more. I inch towards the doorway the shout came from and peek in. My eyes widen in surprise at the sight of the demon watching.. Well.. Soccer of all things. He then gets up and I move back from the doorway as he glides through it. I nod at his greeting and follow behind him as he walks.. glides into a simple kitchen. I finally find my voice after a moment. I don't know what it is about him, but I feel the urge to clam up.

"Hai and hai. I got the naginata several days ago and well.. Its hard to walk around in public with it on my back. So I came here as soon as I got my paycheck," I reply, a slight smile on my lips.

“Good, good girl indeed,” the dark figure says as his body slides over the flooring and comes into what could be considered the kitchen area, “and that is how it should be.” He waves in a motion towards the table that was set up where she would be laying. He would get straight to business as he continues, “clothes off, where do you want it? What shall it be?” He comes to a halt to the side of the table and seems to be busying himself with preparing. As if animated of their own accord, the drawers beneath the table open and utensils linger in the air, floating mysteriously on the whim of the apprentices thoughts. For a moment he pauses and look up, murmuring, “ah, someone who you may know came through here not too long ago with a rifle toting officer. It seems something has come up in your relationship and you both are no longer together. Still as I probed his thoughts, I riled him almost to anger when I mentioned you and how you were my canvas. Quite the feeble bodied he was; he asked to take something for the pain, so I rendered him unconscious.”

I almost roll my eyes as he calls me a good girl. My eyes flick to the table as he motions to it. I walk toward it and wince as he tells me to get undressed. I did it the last time, but its still odd to get undressed for a demon. I pull the naginata off and set it down and then I set down my bag. As I'm pulling off my shirt he speaks and I tug it off quickly to gaze at him. I fold it and listen. I reach back for the clasp of my bra and shock hits me as I undo the bra. I look at him with wide eyes.

"Jyn.. Jyn was here?" I say, surprised my ex boyfriend would ever let a demon near him for something like this. I pull off the bra and set it with my shirt. I frown as I get the jeans and my thong off. Wait.. He riled him? I fold the last of my clothing and the hop up on the table, completely bare. "What exactly did you say to him to get him even close to being angry?" I ask, arching a brow.

I then replay his words and snicker just a bit. So Jyn knocked himself out. Kami.. How many weapons did he try to do at once? I sigh and shake my head, laying down on the table. "Oh. And for the tattoo. My upper right thigh. And a snake wrapping around it is what I want.." I'm curious now about Jyn though. "Also... I didn't think you would willingly knock someone out for this.."

The wraithy figure stands to the side of the table preparing himself as Shiori comes before him. With a wave of his right hand a pocket portal about the size and shape of a pot opens up. His left hand telepathically manipulates the naginata into the air, and in carrying it in that manner, he navigates it to the pocket portal where it slowly lowers and begins to melt into a dark black ink.

“Yes… yes, Jyn was here,” he assures her answering her question. His hidden and hooded gaze follows her hop onto the table. He continues, “I merely asked him to take off his shirt, and that you had already done so for me.” There is a cryptically playful tone in the apprentice’s voice as he divulges this knowledge. As she speaks, he memorizes her request and assures he would be able to fulfill it. With her last statement, he reaches to the side and holds up a wooden bat with the inscription “sleepy time” on it with a minor indention showing a point of impact. “No one’s ever asked me to put them under so I’ve never been able to use it,” he explains before putting it away, “it seems to be quite effective.” His hands glide over her nude form as he trails the curves of his flesh canvas. “Well,” he states, “let’s begin.” A brush is pulled from the air into his right hand and a needle comes to his left. The brush is dipped into the pot of ‘ink’ and from there it is delivered to her inner thigh where the ink immediately burns the skin, causing it to slightly boil; his left hand follows up with the needle that begins its initial pricking, a sensation consisting of heat mixed with the sharp pain of several needles at once at each point of contact.

My eyes shift as my naginata lifts into the air, manipulated by the older demon's power. Its interesting how he learned all of this. Maybe when I brush up on my demon magic I can get a feel of what the hell he is doing. The sleek weapon melts into the ink pot and I calm my racing heart. I know this will be painful. But this will help me become stronger. To not have to worry about losing one's weapon. I have an advantage. I also have speed from not having to unsheath my weapon. Jigoku and Seireikendou's tattoos are warming, as iff the ink they were made with could feel the power that melded them to my soul.

I blink as he speaks. I then roll my eyes at what he said to Jyn. Course.. That's odd that that would have riled him any. I let it go and simply sit in place, waiting for the process to begin. He then brings out a wooden bat with the word 'sleepy time' on it and my left eye twitches. So.. He knocked Jyn out forcibly. I bet Jyn awoke with a killer headache after that. He puts the bat away and I ready myself mentally as he says its time to begin.

I lay back against the incline of the work table and close my eyes. He begins swiftly and the pain slams into me instantly. It knocks the breath right from my lungs and I'm forced to gasp sharply, my hands slamming down to the sides of the table and gripping them. My skin is on fire, as if he is melting my flesh. Then the needle stabs and I feel the power clawing its way onto my soul. My other tattoos are now on fire and I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from screaming. The metallic tang of blood washes over my tongue and my body shakes, breaking into a sweat as my head begins tossing from side to side.

"Fuck!" I finally cry out the curse after what feels like hours, yet had probably only been ten minutes. It hurts like hell and I know he is not done. My vision begins to become blackened at the edges and I know this time I am going to pass out before he is gone. I can't fight it this time. It takes over and my eyes roll up into my head, body slumping to the work table.

There is a soft sound of shifting waves as they come onshore and retreat back into the ocean. When she came to, Shiori would feel a soft padding of fine white sand beneath her body. She would be returned to a world filled with no colors, simply black and white with shades of gray. A shadowy figure, the only other sentient being in this realm, would squat next to her, a stick in his hand poking her in the side of the face. “Ay think she’s dead…” a jovial voice would ring out. As she came to, he would continue to poke her in the cheek, “ya awake?” His garments would wave in the oceans soft wind lightly; a white coat would cover his shoulders with a black yukata worn beneath; Shiori’s naginata would be on his back.

Falling into unconsciousness should have been my bliss. But somehow.. My mind wasn't shutting down. Sounds surround me. They are odd. Waves. The beach? Since when was I anywhere near the beach? Something pokes my cheek as my mind begins to force my body to wake up. I scrunch my nose at the poking and my hand lifts to swat away the offending object. Slowly my eyes slid open as the back of my hand touches the thing poking me. In shock my eyes fly open fully and I find myself sitting up and back pedalling on the ground, my heart hammering in my chest. I blink and my head turns toward the being who I had faintly heard.

"Who... Who are you?" I ask softly, my eyes going to the naginata on his back. I frown. "And how the hell did you get my weapon?" I ask next as I push myself up and get to my feet, brushing sand away from my naked form. I then realize I'm still undressed and want to curse. Cause that doesn't leave me vunerable. My eyes flick around cautiously. Wait. This place. I saw it that night. I'm back? But how? My eyes settle on the man, his style of dress screaming of the past.

“Eh?” the shadowy figure says as he seems a bit confused; his squinted fox visage seemingly perplexed by her words. His head shifts as he turns his neck to the side, enough to see the blade of the naginata. He looks at it for a moment before turning his gaze back towards her. With a shrug he says, “I ain’t yours... You’re mine.” The look of confusion leaves from his face as a simple smile replaces it. His gaze encompasses her nude frame from behind seemingly closed lids, and in an instant, his eyes seem to crease just enough for a red gleam to be seen. Less seen and more felt, a rushing wave of murderous intent would permeate the word around them, shifting the hues of gray to red in those moments. It fades suddenly as his voice chimes out, “Ya got nice tits. I think I’m gonna rape ya.” Amused with his decision, it seems like perfectly good logic to him, but he pauses for a moment before warning the demon blades that lived within her, “oh… if ya come out… I’ll kill ya.” Basically, he was threatening both of them while provoking them at the same time.

Who is he? And where the hell am I? I want my clothes. I feel too exposed to whoever he is. He turns his head to look at the naginata on his back and then his words make me blink. Wait.. Why was he saying 'he' isn't mine, but I'm his. Jigoku and Seireikendou are warming and it makes me wary. Suddenly the air become stifling and I stumbled back, choking for breath. It had felt like something had been trying to choke the breath from my lungs for a moment. What in the hell was that? I've never felt such... Evil in my life. Not even Jigoku's bloodlust compared to what I just felt.

My eyes lift to gaze at him and then they widen at his crude words. I glare at him, hands twitching at my sides, wishing to summon my blades. But then he speaks again and I feel Jiku and Rei practically snarling, the tattoos on my flesh glowing softly. I shift myself in a more defensive stance as my eyes don't leave him. "Who are you?" I demand, not liking how Jiku and Rei seem to be a bit disconected from me. I can fell them.. But somehow I feel like I might not be able to summon them to my aide.

His gaze remains as a constant on her form as she thinks. It is as if he enjoys watching her expressions; he seemed to take joy in the fact that she was uncomfortable. During the shift in stance he ignores the question that follows, and continues along his own line. “That’s a good expression ya got,” he teases, “looks like ya buddies are too scared to come out. Guess that makes it easy on me, ne?” His head tilts to the side innocently with his smile. Suddenly he is no longer in front of her. A soft giggle comes from behind her as he asks, “will ya fight me… or will ya just lie down?” By the time she would be able to turn around, he would appear immediately in front of her, to catch her off guard after realizing that he was no longer behind her. His white hair would sway softly as he took a step into her personal space, boldly moving into her as if not afraid if she would lash out at him. His right hand would come up draw attention to a hardened imprint at the crotch of his pants. “Take em off,” he orders her with all the confidence in the world motioning to the brim of his pants. The aura he was emitted seemed to shout ‘run’ contrasting his tone. It was coming.

“Eh?...” comes the utterance as the sudden shift in attitude is displayed. Cries escape me as I arch off the sand, the pressure building as he sharply strikes that spot within me without intention to do so, but his erratic thrusts make him fuck me deeply. I lift one hand from the soft sand and brush it on my hip to rid myself of sand and then my fingers find that special little spot. I rub my clit as I feel him nearing his completion. My cries increase in volume and I let the world fall away and I struggle to breath, the pressure making me tremble. I can hear him and I open my eyes to watch as he finds his little piece of heaven, the sight pushing me over the edge as he holds himself there. A sharp cry leaves me and I can feel my own release sliding down along the curve of my ass and to the sand below.

I take steady pants to try and calm myself as I watch him. I sit up as best I can and reach out to cup his cheek if he will allow me. "Will you fight with me?" I ask softly, my voice warm and content.

His hair hangs over his face as he hangs over her, his chest rising and falling as he catches his own breath. He would be entering a more docile and controllable state as he lowers and rests his cheek on her shoulder. He nuzzles up to her as if a puppy, and as her question comes in, he giggles and gives his answer, “yeah…” After a few pants to catch his breath, he allows, “call me Kyrojin….” With that, the scenery fades into a white light and Shiori is no longer in that world. The setting returns to the table of the dark apprentice as he wipes down the place where the tattoo had been placed and gives the final inspection of his work. He would find the small puddle on his table quite curious as something seemed to have happened while she was out during the bonding process. As she came to, he comments, “so… I see you tamed your weapon… I’m all done here…”

He nuzzles up to me like a contented puppy dog. My hand moves from his cheek to pet his silver hair. He agrees to fight with me and his name has me smiling more. "Kyrojin.." I whisper lovingly, for he is now apart of me and will be a new strength. I feel the shifting as I close my eyes. The sound of the ocean fades away and I open my eyes to the sight of the Dark Apprentice. I smile a bit, content now. His comment makes me laugh softly and I nod. "You could say that," I reply and sit up and crack my neck. It pops in a pleasurable fashion and I hop off the table. I peek over my shoulder and see a wet spot on the table that nearly has me falling into a fit of giggles. I knew I would physically respond. I grab a paper towel from the kitchen and then reutnr, cleaning it up, a faint smile on my lips.

"There are many ways to tame a weapon," I comment in an amused fashion. I toss the paper towel away, the table clean. I then tug my clothes back on, my skin hyper sensitive at the current moment, my nipples hard and rubbing against the cloth of my bra and making me want another round of sex. Dammit. And with no Jyn as my boyfriend, I'm gonna have to call one of my guy friends for a one night stand if I really want to get laid.

I pull my debit card from my pocket and hold it out to him to charge me for the service. "If I get any new weapons I'll be back for more of your work," I say to him, quite satisfied now that I have Kyrojin bound to me and I can summon the wicked naginata to my hands when the time arises.

The dark apprentice merely watches over her as she moves through his kitchen and cleans up after herself. When the time comes, he takes the card from her and glides over to his credit card machine, sliding it though the device before returning and giving it to her. “Your service…” he speaks in a cryptic tone, “is always appreciated. I will be here when you do receive other weapons to bond to your soul.” During this time, he begins to levitate his tools, putting them all away and in their various places where they go. Lifting the tilt of his head back to her, he looks upon her body once more. Suddenly, his attention is attracted as his gaze shifts to the front of his house. “Hm… more visitors…” he murmurs lightly. There is a sound of growling and gnashing as “Fluffy” went to greet the visitors. The apprentice remarks, “they must be of the non paying type.” The apprentice goes back to cleaning up as if it were a minor issue until he hears a sharp squeal of Fluffy seemingly in pain. “What…” he murmur as he looks that way, “something has happened…” Looking over to Shiori, he inquires, “can you be a doll and check on my doggie for me?”

He takes my debit card and I watch as my money flies away, in a sense. But hell. It was worth it. I've gained another strength. I take my card back as he speaks and it causes one of my brows to arch. Pervert. Bet he just loves having me naked is all, along with in pain. He looks the sadist type. I tuck the card away and watch as he begins to clean up his tools. But my attention shifts to the door as I hear Fluffy snarling. The Apprentice then mentions guests and I remember my first time here and having to fight Fluffy. Though I felt bad. He's a good pet.

But then there is a yowl of pain and I feel worry seize me. I look at the Dark Apprentice and frown when he asks me to go see Fluffy instead of checking on his pet himself. "Fine," I huff and move out of the house and outside. I scan the area and begin walking. "Fluffy?" I call out, wondering if the beast is all right.

“Stupid beast…” an oni complains as he looks down on the chimera, bound in place by large dark hands that held it to the ground, “I wondered if he thought that could really keep us away.” Though he said us, there was only one person around; him. A large bastard blade was on his back that was larger than he was as he wore flowing red robes. The male had short spiky hair and stood about the height of an average man. He looks up as Shiori enters into the scene and gives a short grin. Pointing towards her while resting a foot on the head of the chimera, he asks, “can it be the dark apprentice changed his form to a woman…” It seems like he is sensing her, and comes to the conclusion that she is not who he is looking for. He alters his statement, “rather… the apprentice is in the house behind you. Why would he send a woman out? First a chimera, now a bitch… he has the oddest security.”

I come around the house and I glare at the man who has bound poor Fluffy. I walk forward, but keep myself just out of range. I roll my eyes as he first thinks I'm the Dark Apprentice, my eye twitching as he steps on the poor chimera as if it couldn't feel pain. He pauses and I know he must be scanning me to see if I'm a demon. I roll my eyes as he then refers to me as a bitch. "And your an asshole who needs to let go of the beast. You've subdued him. So let him go. If you want the Dark Apprentice then be prepared to pay for any services. Now.. Let go of Fluffy," I say, my voice cold and sounding much like it did when I was working in the office of Kyro Corperation.

I feel the itch to summon Kyrojin to my hands and test out the new method of having the weapon. But I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from attacking senselessly. If there is no need to fight, then I will not just go out and start a fight. Also. I'm a bit worn from the bonding. Its takes a bit out of you and then having to tame Kyrojin. Kami. All I want to do is go back to the apartment I share with Yume and flop down on my bed and go to sleep.

“Hmmm..” a blank observational stare meets the words as they come to him. “He has a secretary now…” he speaks perfectly audible to himself as if surprised, “he must really think that he’s going to be able to live freely… the gall.” Registering her words, he looks down at the chimera and asks, “oh this thing?” He lifts his foot up, only to slam it down on its central head harder. The creature’s movements and limbs were bound at all areas preventing it from being able to defend itself. It whimpers in pain with the cruel strike and attempts in a futile manner to break free. Looking to Shiori, the male contends, “I was just about to kill this thing off. The damn thing can regenerate; so I figured fuck it.” Looking back up, he returns to his point, “but I’m not here for any services. I’m here to drag that brat in there back down to hell. His master, the Dark Smith, is waiting for him. He thought he could just move to this realm without us finding out… but we did.” Standing up fully, he begins to walk slowly, “so to the side woman, it’s reckoning time for Jr. in there. This is Onitoshian matters, you best run along to the city where it’s safe.”

Secretary? How in the hell do I loook like a damn secretary? I watch him. What is he going on about? Had the tattoo artist done something he wasn't suppose to? Too many unanswered questions now swirling in my mind. But they vanish as I watch him mistreat Fluffy as if the chimera is just an object. My eyes narrow, listening to the poor chimera whine in pain. "Just because he can regenerate doesn't mean he doesn't feel the pain of what you are doing," I snap. My fingers twitch at my sides.

Kill him...

That voice is whispering again. It always whispers the temptation of staining my hands with the blood of another. I close the door in my mind that the voice peeked out of. Sealing it for the time being. I level him with a cold gaze as he begins to explain why he is here. My questions of earlier are now answered. So.. Mister Apprentice had done somehting naughty by coming here to live on his own. But if he gets dragged back to the spirit realm, I lose a valuable source of making myself a stronger person. I purse my lips. Now I'm not one to fight in a matter I'm not technically involved in. But I need the pervert's power.

I find myself moving to block his path, Jigoku more than ready to play with the Oni. But I think Kyrojin deserves a bit more fighting time. "Sorry. But I need 'Junior' in future projects," I say to him.

The male’s footsteps pause for a moment. He looks towards Shiori curiously, before twisting up his lip, sizing her up. He tilts his head to one side and then to the other. “I didn’t feel like slaying a human today,” the man says, “and from your demeanor, you must be more powerful than a normal human. You don’t look like one of the forest demon hunters, and the city is too soft to produce anything of merit. Okay… if you want to get in my way, then I’ll just have to kill you. Hmm…” he continues to look at her. He chuckles a bit as he seems relieved. He informs, “I’m able to size you up with Kankaku… you may know about it. It’s a skill that allows me to know your spiritual power. Right now, it’s telling me your magical ability is jack shit. So with that in mind… what can you possibly do to stop this?” He reaches behind his back and grips onto the hilt of his blade. Pulling it from his back, he hurls it down emitting a dark wave of energy from it heading straight for Shiori. If she were able to evade it, it would find its way to the apprentice’s home and shop.

He pauses and looks at me curiously, as if I'm some rare spectacle. I hold in the urge to roll my eyes as he begins to talk. I'm about to say something when he pauses a second, but his next words have me stiffening. Oh shit. How... How could he sense I haven't gotten magical abilities yet. Well crap almighty. I take a step back, the hair on the back of my neck standing on end. The air is quivering with his power. I may not have good sensing abilities, but even I can feel it. But I stand my ground as he grabs his blade. I summon Jigoku for this, my skills with Kyrojin not as well rounded. Rei appears in my other hand and I other the power withn me, black lines scrawling along my flesh. He hurls his blade down and power rapidly rushes out toward me. I widen my stance, sweat sliding down the side of my face from the strain of gather this much power at once.

"Fuck off!" I snarl and slash my blades down and at the ground, releasing my attack to collide with his in an attempt to nullify his attack and hopefully shock him enough for me to lunge at him with both my blades. I would take his head if I had to.

The energy attack is pummeled by Shiori’s weapon strike; as the blade of energy is stricken, it shatters into several pieces as it is over powered by the human. This, of course, catches the demon off guard, but in a good way. “Oh ho,” he would vocalize on realization on sight of the counter attack. Due to the fact that he was spiritual, he would be able to see the markings of her Hitorinji’s powered form. He would realize that she would be faster and stronger than she was a moment ago. There would be a moment where he would seem surprised, but as Shiori lunges, he would reveal the feint as his body shifts to the side of the lung. He allows his sword to remain tip planted into the ground, the large thing serving as a barrier between them as it would be in the way with him moving to the side.

In amusement, these events would be witnessed through the window of Shiori’s eyes as Kyrojin would happily sit idle at the moment. He would be in the process of making himself comfortable in his new host; without the other two swords in the way, he would have the entire realm of Shiori’s body to himself. “Do ya best,” he would sarcastically coax Rei and Jigoku, “ya opponent looks strong. Think ya can beat him?” Another giggle comes out as he comments, “ya moving too slow… hey Shi… can ya feel this?” As he plays within her body, she would feel a warm sensation between her legs; his jovial giggling would be in the background of her mind.

I lunge forward as the attacks cancel one another out. He moves out of the way and I use his ground blade as a landing point for my hands. I hold my body parrell in the air, then bend my arms and push off, twisting in the air and landing in a slight crouch to his side. I glare at him, only for my eyes to widen as heat explodes between my legs. It makes me drop forward to my knees and drop Jiku and Rei in surprise. My breath hitches and I here the giggles. 'Goddammit Kyrojin!' I hiss at him and realize I just made a huge mistake.

Without a thought I summon the black naginata that is Kyrojin, in defense, not even looking to see if an attack is coming. It is instinctual.

“It’s sticky,” the weapon spirit giggles gleefully in the moments just before he is summoned; he seemed to be enjoying himself greatly. He is called from her body; there is a rush of movement from her opponent as the blade that was planted is re-wielded, pulled from the ground and slammed down. Bits of earth and dirt drop from where it was flung into the air to retrieve the weapon; the blade meets with the center of the naginata that had been raised just in time for the block. “Eh?” comes the voice of the weapon spirit as he realizes that he was no longer inside her body. The weapon spirits seems frumpy as his fun was interrupted to bring him out here, but the striking of another blade against him stirred up his desire to fight. “Good block,” the demonic opponent congratulates as he presses down on her with his overpowering and insanely large blade, “I thought I saw an opening for sure there.” He suddenly lets up completely on the blade; if she was pushing against it and lifted up a bit, he would push his foot into her gut and kick her back and away from him.

Thank god for my reflexes. My arms are forced to bend as the strike comes and I use Kyrojin to hold the bastard sword at bay, the blade only a foot from my face. I glare at the demon when he speaks. Fucker would have killed me if I hadn't blocked that. I can sense Kyrjin was a bit huffy about being made to come out, but now he can taste a battle at hand and I smirk as I can feel my bloodlust soaring. Jiku and Rei return and wait in the wings should I need them. THe pressure on the naginata is lifting and I know it is not of my doing. He is lifting and I can see his foot moving as well. I brace myself, the naginata already being spun in my hands as the kick comes.

I activate the blade tip and I slash right at his upper thighs, using my powers to help the blade extend with a blade of wind that was just as deadly as the metal tip. I am knocked back, and my back skids along the forest floor, making me hiss in pain. But I keep the naginata up in defense, hoping I have slashed open his upper thighs and perhaps made a fatal blow. I wonder.. Do demons have arteries in their upper thighs like we humans do. I sit up and force myself back on my feet, panting a bit from the exertion of my powers.

The slash finds its mark on the thigh of the demon as Shiori is kicked back. The demon recoils his leg in the same manner one would pull back a hand that was pricked. His body would learn over the leg as his sword was lowered for the moment with his left hand over the area that was cut. His toughness would be a testament to his leg still being there, though the demon would not be happy that he had been injured. Looking up at her with an icy coldness, he growls, “you bitch.” He lifts his hand up and creates a dark barrier around his body that consisted of tinted black energy. “Ah, he’s mad,” Kyrojin giggles from his observational point of observation. “Human, he warns, “prepare to be blasted into oblivion.” An incantation would be on his lips as dark energy started to swirl in front of him, but in his anger, he would have forgotten not to use magic against her, causing the binding spell on the chimera to drop. Kyrojin notices, “puppy?” Now freed of its binds, the chimera charges and strikes the demon with a shoulder rush just as the demon’s dark wave attack was coming out aimed for Shiori. The attack would be pushed off target and rip up the ground veering to the right of her. The barrier would protect the demon mostly from the tackle, but after being pushed back, he would emit a short chant and send a beam of dark energy at the chimera aiming to strike it in the chest.

My eyes fall to the bleeding gash, smirking a bit in triumph. Small victory, but fuck I'll take it. My muscles are beginnin gto lightly protest. That first attack drained me a bit. But I have to keep up with the demon. I refuse to go down easily. He finally looks at me and calls me a bitch. How original. I always get called that it seems. Not that I care. I'll be a bitch and proud if it means I'm taking down Mister Bastard Sword. I smirk a bit as Kyrojin giggles and mentions he looks mad.

'Yeah. He does. But who gives a shit,' I say to the weapon spirit through the bond we have gained. I shift my stance as the demon speaks to me again. I spin the naginata in my hands and then angle it along my form, wondering what the demon is planning. I then hear the incantation and curse. More magic. I can hear Jigoku berating me about being lax and not learning how to harness my magicks at an earlier date. 'Yes, mother,' I grumble and prepare to defend myself. This is going to hurt. But then Kyrojin says puppy and I look to see Fluffy smashing into the demon just as he unleashes the attack.

I stiffen as it zooms past my right side. I look at the destruction it caused and wince. THat would have hurt like hell. I watch as the demon diverts its attention to the chimera. I waste no time and rush at him. I close in and the naginata fades and is replaced by my two blades. I don't waste any time as my blades move threw the air with a practiced speed. TO the normal eye it would look like I made only one slash with each blade when in reality I made about six with each, all of then meant to cut in deep and make the demon stumble back. If this were to happen I would then cross my blades against his neck in preparation to take his head off.

The smoking beam of dark energy shoots across the ground, shifting wind and dust in its wake as it strikes the chest of the chimera and drives it back and into the forest wall. Turning too late, the demonic swordsman takes note of Shiori’s rushing approach. The demon is too late in attempting a defense with his weapon not at the ready after the magic technique. He attempts to guard, but her attack breaks through and his body is assaulted by several strikes in the time it normally takes to issue one. Lines form on his shoulders, arms, and torso and blood pushes out from the deep cuts as the demon is pushed back and off balance. His body begins to fall backwards in a manner where he would not be able to catch himself before falling to the ground.

My strikes hit home and I drive myself forward, refusing to lose this fight. Blood splashes my flesh and I move with him as he is off balanced. My body follows him, helping him fall. My blades cross around his neck and I land on top of him, straddling his chest. I move my knees and pin his arms down, grinding my knees into the pressure points of the upper arms. I look down at him and I hear the voice chanting, making a twisted smile appear on my lips. "Sorry. But can't have you alive now," I purr, blades pressing against his neck hard enough to draw blood. I could not hesitate. THe voice is howling for his death.

"Bye bye.." I coo and pull my blades across his neck.

There is a sickening sound and blood flies from the gashes created by the blades as the demon’s head rolls back and to the side, now freed from its body. Around this time, the Chimera would have recovered from the harsh beam blast it received and would be in the process of regenerating its damaged cells. Tiredly, it walks out of the forest and back into the ‘yard’ looking to Shiori who seemed to be victory over the demon that had trespassed on the apprentice’s property. At the doorway to the shack, the dark cloaked figure would be standing, looking at Shiori as well and observing the kill strike that was rendered to the one who came seeking him. With a nod and no words, he accepts the situation; his body shifts as he turns to head back into the cottage, apparently with things on his mind. If Shiori were to stand up in the presence of the Chimera without walking away, she would be tri-licked by each of the heads of the Chimera as it pants to her side. The door to the cottage shuts; there are no words of thanks or explanation offered to her for her service.

I watch with sadisfaction as my blade render his head from his body. Blood arcs in the air and more splatters on my form. I smile, my lips twisted up in a wicked fashion. A giggle escapes and the door that I keep the voice behind cracks open. More giggling. Jiku and Rei shimmer away and I reach down and pick up the oni's head and giggle more at it. "Lost your head.." I say in a sing song voice. Blood. Beautiful crimson. I want to bathe the world in it forev-

THree tongue lick my face and reality crashes down on me. I drop the head and blink. The door to the voice is closed again. "Oh! Triple eww!" I say and try and get the overly excited chimera off of me. "Eww Fluffy!" I whine and fall over as I'm slobber attacked. "Okay. Okay. I know.. You're thankful," I laugh and finally Fluffy pulls off and lets me sit up. I sigh softly and look around. I nearly lost myself for a moment. I pet each of the heads and get to my feet. I look down at my ruined clothes. I sigh again. Yume is going to rip me a new one for this mess on my clothes. I shrug, smiling faintly. I look at the dead body and a faint flicker of my insanity appears in my dark eyes.

"Ja ne.." I chirp and whistle as I walk back into the forest, heading home.
