| | Supplies were running low again as she traveled. The trip to stop the sound of 'drums' was coming along well. She had been getting better. That insanity was ebbing away and she could finally think alot more clearly. Ghost traveled with her, the tom cat like a person at the oddest of times. She was dressed in hakama with a haori. Tabi sock and waraji adorned her feet. On her head rested a straw hat to sheild her from the sun.
She tipped it back from her features as she walked into the fishing village. Its seemed quieter than it had a month prior when she had passed through. It was odd but she let it slid as she went about the market to buy things. She had a bit of shinny from doing errands for people whenever she stopped in a village. She didn't mind alot of it. They were simple tasks. It helped that she was stronger than most people.
As she went to the next vendor stall she heard a woman sobbing to the merchant's wife. She couldn't help her eyes as they strayed to the women. She then looked at the man running the stall and arched a brow. "Something happen?" she asked, curious now. She had seen a couple of women crying now that she thought on it. The man paled a bit and looked around. He leaned closer to her, Shiori listening now.
"Men be disappearin'," he began and swallowed, as if afraid for himself just by speaking of the matter. "Some say its pirates.. But I know better. Its Kyuuden Asahina.."
"Kyuuden Asahina?" she said it aloud with a hint of confusion.
"Shh!" he looked panicked at her saying it so loud. "You'll call the curse on yourself, onna," he said and Shiori just rolled her eyes.
"What is it, Old man?" she snapped and he seemed to debate on telling her. But the look in her eyes made him.
"A castle that appears on an island. It comes and goes. Appearing and vanishing at will," he explained and Shiori nodded faintly. Sounded a bit too magical for this timeline. Might be demons. Now she was interested. She turned to leave and the man grabbed her arm. She stilled, Jigoku snarling at the commoner for touching her. She flicked cold eyes to the man. "Don't be silly. THose who seek it die," he said in a hushed tone and Shiori smirked.
"I ain't your average person, old man," she said and yanked her arms out of his grasped and continued on, now munching on an apple. Looks like she had to find a boat to rent now.
