Seek the Goddess of Light [Sodine]

Starting Location: Onitoshi Near Portal

Flying through the air after this Manticore operative, I cannot lose him as he went thru a great deal of trouble to steal the scroll that he has in his possession and while I can't stand the Order of the White Wing and want to see them dead, I do not want the Manticore gaining any new secrets or powers. The operative tries to escape from me and I chant, "ādhā jārī, cānda!" Three blades release from my right palm and fly after the operative. One cuts shallowly into his back while the second gashes into his left leg, which causes the third blade of energy to miss slightly to the right. It did not matter tho as I move to land a more direct strike on him. Looking behind us, I grumble. White Wings! I increase my speed and grab the wounded operative and the scroll case and fly directly into the portal leading to the earth realm because I know the white wings will not follow. I will have to stay on the lookout for the operatives here in Yochi, but for now, I am more concerned with this scroll than getting my revenge on them.

New Location: Western Forests

I turn to face the portal just in case they shocked me and came thru after us. Waiting a moment, nothing happens so I turn to the operative and look at his wound. "You are about to feel a great deal of pain, but your capture and death will result in an escalated conflict between the Manticore and the Order of the White Wing... my two greatest enemies fighting each other. Sounds excellent. Goodbye." My right hand flicks at the portal and the operative's body is flung back in so that he could return into the clutches of the waiting enemy. Flying thru the water above, I emerge and land in the western forests near Demon's Lake. I open the scroll case and retrieve the scroll that would tell me what to do next I hope or reveal some power to me. I close my eyes and hold my hand over the scroll. Focusing on the magic of the parchment, I speak the command for teleportation, "Timaṭimānā." I arrive at a crossing where there is a woman in a gold and silver gown healing wounded and poisoned demons. I watch her for a while before she takes a break and appears next to me.

She speaks, "You have come looking for me, have you not?" Her question is answered with one of my own, "You are Sodine, are you not?" She nods to me and I do the same in response. "You do not look ill, so what is that brings you to me?" I tell her, "I want you to serve me as my summon. This scroll says that you have the power of a goddess and that is something that could be extremely useful to me. When you are not serving me, you will be free to do what you wish."

Sodine looks at me and inquires, "If I am a goddess, why would I serve you, a demon?" I look at her and smirk, "A demon? That hurts. Because I am no demon, I am Dark Kami and because you don't care which side you are on, so long as you can help people." She steps forward and touches my chest as she inquires, "Are you sure that is what you are?" I look at her curiously and nod to her. She smiles and tells me that my dreams will tell me otherwise. "My dreams? What are you talking about?" She smiles as she leaves her hand on my chest and suddenly my eyes begin to fill with light and my body radiates energy as it slowly lifts into the air and holds in a hovering position. My lips retreat from one another as I speak to her, "Lampaṭa prakāśa..." She starts to move her hand away and my hand "appears" next to her hand and keeps it placed on mine. "Oh no not yet. We are almost there. You are mine now, Sodine, Goddess of Light. You wanted to understand why you would serve me, didn't you?" Her mind begins to open to mind only to feel me reverse the flow of our psychic energy to allow her to enter my thoughts instead. Once inside, I would allow her to see my plans to strengthen my regime, the ongoing battle with the Order of the White Wing, and the escalating conflict with the House of Manticore. I want her to see who I am and realize that I am no mere oni demon, but something far more.

As we float in the air, Sodine looks into my glowing eyes and her eyes begin to glow as well. I begin chanting the incantation of bonding that is on the scroll and energy begins to swirl around us. The arms of the goddess of light fling open and I float closer to her until we are face to face with one another in mid-air. "Now do you see, goddess? Do you see now why you will serve me?" She fights the sensation for a while before she gasps and I nod. That's right... feel my influence growing inside of you." My hand comes up to caress her face as I switch to speak in the ancestral tongue of the Dark Kami, "śud'dha vāsanā aura uttējanā hai ki tuma aba mahasūsa kara rahē haiṁ mahasūsa karō. tuma mērī ājñā kā pālana karēṅgē, prakāśa kī dēvī?" (Feel the pure lust and excitement that you are now experiencing. Will you obey me, goddess of light?) She speaks in response, "Yes... yes, I will serve you, Prince of the Dark Kami. You may call upon my power once and I will crush your enemies and bestow my grace upon you. I am yours to command." I lean forward with a devilish grin and kiss her on the lips. I speak telepathically into her mind, "Isa cumbana kē sātha, maiṁ hamārē bandhana, Sodine, prakāśa kī mērī dēvī sīla." She answers, "With this kiss, I seal our bond, Psyre, Veilos Tyrn of the Veilos Syli Regime." The kiss becomes slightly more passionate before I move away. My eyes return to normal and I look at her. She touches her lips and bows to me. "I have some other matters to tend to now, so enjoy yourself until I call upon you." A rune symbol appears on my left shoulder blade and it burns its way into my flesh. I bear my fangs, but embrace the pain at the same time. Sodine turns to me and I shake my head and gesture towards the wounded. "ṭimaṭimānā" My body shimmers out of sight and out of the earth realm yet again. Back to Xartias I go with my new ally and summon. This will be interesting to have as a trump up my sleeve, but I must prolong things with her for as long as I can. I believe there is much that I can learn from her. I will need to be careful in order to keep from using her power too early.
