| | Tracking Down a Demon ... Time: Evening ... Location: ??? Forest
The Hunt Begins
The day’s events passed by with an early morning awakening by the priest of SaiVillage’s main temple. From there, I left the village with Izumi and Tapp to return to the camp site in search of clues that may assist in leading us back to our home realm. After making it to the campsite formerly known as Haven, I was able to feel out the presence of a certain demon who attempted to kidnap Akera as well as the latter’s signature with the demon. It would seem that after a month or so from his first attempt at kidnapping her, he finally accomplished what he was trying to do and got her. From there, our objective changes from finding a way home and following the demon army to finding Akera and possibly rescuing her from the demon. After that, we would continue as normal. There was a bit of a fiasco from a human boy who did not seem to realize his own limitation, but due to the magical efforts of Izumi, he was transported back to SaiCity along with Tapp who would lead and watch over the present realm denizens in my absence. Since then, I felt out the spiritual tracks of the demon and Izumi and I proceed in following the bread trail in efforts of finding the demon with his pants down.
It becomes apparent to me in my human limitations that flying was must be much more accommodating than the forest terrain. Whatever distance he would have covered in the air would be much easier to travel when compared to trekking through the dense forests. Time passes by as does distance between ourselves and the demon, wherever he may be. With a limited range on my active sensing, I wouldn’t have any idea how close we were to him until we were within a range of about a hundred or so feet; until then, I would just have to follow the spiritual lines in the sky that marked his presence. In our walking, we would have come upon the place where he first landed to catch his breath. Unlike the signature left by his movement which was of lines, when he was still it seemed more like a candle flame. In making it this far, night approaches and darkness starts to fall over the forest. I was not much keen for camping in the wilderness over night, but it seemed as if I would have no choice. Turning to Izumi, I comment, “I still am unable to sense him, but he can’t be that much further. We should probably rest for now and continue when we’ve got light.” Looking back around I, we were in a very small clearing of the usual thickets. The dense forest surrounded us; there didn't seem to be any water sources nearby, nor did it seem we were near the edge of the forest. The dull light of the moon would come down in thin slivers of light, fighting its way through the dense tree tops, giving the area a dull glow, just enough to bare be able to make someone out in it.

I turn towards her and with a nod, I agree, “yeah, that would probably be best. Hopefully it will keep wild animals away from us.” I didn’t know how things like that worked, but I figured she would take care of it. In Haven, I always stressed to keep the fire going and it seemed to work for us, though I would think that something like that would attract attention to it in the dead of darkness. “Can you handle the fire for me, Izumi?” I ask her expecting the normal perky affirmation I normally get when asking her to perform a task for me. Of course, I could probably have her portal us back to town and then back to this spot, but with being on the trail of the demon, I didn’t want to rise losing my ability to track him for any unknown reasons by leaving here while I had my lock on him. Looking around the ground, it didn’t seem like there were many choice places to lie down at; I figured I would probably end up leaning against a tree or under a large root until the morning came. After l glance around I comment, “I’ll be right back. Restroom.” With that I move to walk off, away from the immediate area and into the more dense portions of the forest. Luckily, we didn’t have to worry about getting lost from one another since I figured we could both feel were each other were mostly.

| - Spoiler:
| A small, black vixen, her spiritual signal faint due to her weak attributes, crept through the darkened forest paths of Yochi Furi, her companion somewhere nearby helping her hunt. The nearby smell of smoke caught her attention, however, and she lowered her ears, crouching even closer to the ground. Fire, that meant either spirits or humans, and in this world spirits didn't seem to much exist. Thus, she stole silently over to the campfire before realizing the face there looked familiar. She tilted her head to the side, watching from the bushes before suddenly calling out, "Hey, chick!" | |

Kyro edit: I hid your posts until valid posts are made so they do not interrupt my activity. I notice that you've posted in other threads, so I know it's not a time or internet access constraint; therefore there's no need to stop posting on our end while we wait for an amount of time TBA. You may still enter into the thread if you like, I will not request to have your posts deleted, but you may want to try to include an introductory post where it at least vaguely describes into the RP where your character is and what they're doing to add more so to your own plot rather than simply appearing. I've already read your quest, so I know you're not near where we are, but don't worry about going into the detail about how, within over 250 square miles of forest, you happen to be in this vicinity. I don't feel like going into grid values and such if we don't have to; just try to come up with something creative that makes at least a base level amount of sense to why you're right here. Thank you. Godspeed.
"Open! Wait... >P how'd you find us?"
Unfortunately on THIS site, posts have to make sense. Sorry. (Ascii smiley goes here).

I move a short distance from the camp to do my business. Unfortunately instead of a leak, I had to do a number two. Further unfortunate from there, I would have a rough time with that. I had developed quite the interesting diet now that I was eating fully organic foods. So there, I squatted, pants down and bum free to the wind as I attempt to push out what was there, but not coming out. After about ten minutes of this, I start to wonder if I should give up. It was pretty dark out there. While relieving myself, I gaze up slightly in my own thoughts slightly bothered at the prospect that there could probably be wild animals around here that’ve already noticed me. Unfortunately, for animals like that that didn’t contain magic within them, it was hard for me to sense them and a bit unnerving. But it was a bit better than having to deal with demons and such. It certainly was a change in pace from the city metro. Thinking back, that big spider was kind of on the huge side. I hoped that nothing like that would just simply come out of nowhere, especially while I was pooping. I look around me and then gaze up. It was kind of hard to see anything and seemingly the fire hadn’t been lit yet, because there were no light sources coming from where I felt Izumi was. Then I wondered if spider’s liked fire? With a shrug, I figure Izumi knew what she was doing and silently continue what would otherwise be a grunty experience.

“Newspaper…” I softly wish for as I continue with my labor. I had come to the conclusion that nothing was going to come out, so for that, I give up for the moment. I notice a dim light in the distance as I figured Izumi must have gotten the fire going by now. She certainly was reliable. Somehow I felt a bit better with her out here with me rather than Tapp or Ingel. Of course, her breast might have something to do with that, since it was never fun to be at a sausage fest with a bunch of guys. With the light now forming from the fire in the distance, it would be that much easier for me to find my way back without having to use my senses. I found in my general experiences that it was a lot easier looking from somewhere dark to somewhere bright compared to the reverse process. I look around for a leaf or something to wipe with hoping not to grab the equivalent of poison ivy. I find something to suffice, look at it, fold it, and then discard it. After a moment, I stand and pull up my trousers, equipment and all and start on my way back to the camp. My stomach ached just a bit and since I hadn’t shat so it could be said that I was in a shitty mood; but at least I wasn’t pissy. Internally, I thought it was ironic that I was in a mostly spiritless world on my way to go combat a strong demon. But then again, that was my job, even if I were basically off the clock right now.

The atmosphere gets slightly brighter as I come within the confines of the small space we had managed to find out here. The fire seemed at least large enough to see through the immediate area between the dense forest coverage. Coming through the break in the forest wall, I enter into the area where I notice Izumi laying down. She looked comfortable enough lying there. I figured she was at home out here much like she seemed to be in the city. “Nice fire,” I comment on my return. I look around for a place to plop down at. The orange glow of the fire tinted the wooden wall surrounded on all sides. I sit down with my back to one of the tree trunks with a leg cocked up and my knee resting on it. Looking over to Izumi, I comment, “I suppose we can get some rest for now and set out to continue first thing tomorrow morning.” Pulling out my pistol, I pull out the clip, checking the chamber before sliding it back in. I slide it back into its holster and give a soft sigh. I hoped tomorrow would be us to the demon to finish this; still, I hoped we would be a match for him. He was very strong; but with a good plan, I felt we would have a high probably for success.

Leaning back, I close my eyes. The journey this far had been a little tiring, but I had started to become accustomed to hiking and such. I knew I had much more stamina now that I used to have while living in the city. There was no surprise that the men of this era were so much stronger than me by default. I nod and agree, “mhmm” to her words and then say nothing after that. Instead I drift off silently into my own thoughts; what I felt, what was happening and other things like that. It felt weird not lying with or next to Izumi, due to previous experiences. But much along the thought I had earlier, I wouldn’t make any moves on her until I was sure about her feelings for me. Of course, there was no way for her to know my feelings if I didn’t say anything, but I was never one good with speaking and discussing how I felt. Most of the time, I found that I walked away from various issues not wanting to deal with them more so than actually handling them face on. Things concerning my job and other non emotional issues were so much easier to deal with rather than my emotions and how they applied to others.
“Well, you know that’s not good,” I hear speak into my mind. I frown, slightly since I had been enjoying the time Damon had gone without speaking directly to me. There is an annoying sipping noise and then I find myself in a black voided realm with the dragonic male sitting casually in a chair with one leg crossed over the other, sipping tea. It wasn’t strange for the spirit entities that were housed somewhere in my body to speak to me from time to time. “You know,” he comments continuing, “she is a good woman. You should make her your mate.” A small earthy domo chan look alike comes into the scene and gives a small wave before sitting down. He moved with the plushy stiffness of pedobear. I simply looked between the two of them wondering how they were able to control my consciousness at times. “She’s much more reliable than Shiori,” the earth golem agrees, “maybe that’s why she’s here right now and Shiori isn’t.” I brush a bang back and comment, “I’m not about to have this conversation with two imaginary friends.” Damon raises an eyebrow and turns to Feidnod, who in turn looks to him. Damon speaks in a nonchalant tone, “whoever said we were your friends? As you remember, I’m here because of that woman you’re denying.” I emit a tsk and look to the side in a stereotypically complicated manner and in one of those –dere forms, comment, “it’s not like I asked for it.” Feidnod shifts his earthy head back and forth as he comments, “that’s not a good character type for you.” I frown and sigh, looking around for an exit to my own subconscious.
