I felt pretty accomplished to this point. I had given a piece of my mind to that dumb cop from the past, I had gone to the underworld and participated in a tournament where I was not eliminated in the first round, and now I had returned back to my time, somehow, to continue my training. I was feeling pretty good about myself. I knew I was nowhere near the league of ability as those other people in the tournament, but that didn’t mean that I’d be discouraged. It actually pumped me up. I knew that training on my own wouldn’t really do anything, so my plan was to meet up with other people with special powers to learn from them and increase my own strength. So far, I knew that I could use fire power and wind power. I would just have to work with both of those for now and try to pick things up from other people. I didn’t really know a lot of people with powers. Natsuki was pretty good with guns, but there wasn’t anything really supernatural about her. The cop turned out to be a pretty normal human and I hadn’t seen my master around in a while since he was probably still in the past realm. I did know of one lady who banished me to a village once who seemed to have an interesting power, though.

I stand before the Metro office of Division 12 standing in a mock pose with my fist on my waist. A cocky grin is across my lips as I figured the cops chick probably hung out here as well. Internally I think, “I’ll draw her out and make her teach me how to banish people” with a fist pump.

I cross the distance between the parking lot and the doors to the Division HQ, looking around and wondering if cops really needed a place this nice to be their HQ. After entering and looking around, my glare shifts to the front desk and I walk towards it. The male attending the front desk sitting behind a circular wooden counter holds a phone to his ear as he types something on a visual screen in front of him. Slamming my hand onto the chest high wooden counter and leaning my arm on it, I get the males attention and command, “give me the woman with the huge boobs!” The man jumps as if shocked in a ‘don’t scare me like that’ type manner, but then raises his eyebrow and says, “you mean, Izumi?... wait! You don’t have access to be in here. Leave before I have security escort you out.” I lean back then frown, “I pay my taxes! I paid for a portion of this place! If Izumi-boob-san is here, I need to speak with her!”

There’s a back and forth that gets security’s attention. Aside from them preparing to escort the ‘child’ out, a call comes to my new and shiny office for a heads up on the situation. The phone would ring to Izumi’s desk first.

She was moving around in her new office, it was much spacious than before and has a few more drawers to be a bit more organized with things. She was rather pleased with it herself. A nice new desk, a new computer, everything was all brand new, and even a window view! Currently though she was standing by a file cabinet as she was putting in vanilla folders into their right spot and she would stop as she heard the ringing.

A brow arched as she walked over to her desk as she would pick up the phone and bring it up to her ear. "Captain Asei's office, Izumi speaking, how may I help you?" she answered in the common response a secretary of a boss would say. She went quiet as she opened a folder and sat on the edge of her desk and began to flip through it as she was awaiting for a response.

By this time, the side doors had opened into the lobby and two security guards stepped out, looking official with their uniforms, shades and various attachments on their belts. Still arguing with the man behind the counter, I comment, “okay, how about you get her, or I get her? If I get her, I’m putting my foot up your ass. Do you know who my uncle i…” I turn and notice the guards walking towards the lobby. “…why the hell would anyone where glasses inside? This is a good indicator that the cops have too much money. Just get the big breasted woman and there won’t be any trouble.” Internally I was grinning since I knew I was being unreasonable and provoking the cops. I kind of wanted to show off at the moment though; these men were not as GAR as me and I knew it.

The two security guards hear what I say and pause and look towards each other, then nod, “he means Izumi.” My jaw drops as I speak in a low, semi normal voice, “you’ve… got to be kidding me…”

Over the phone line, one of the voices from the control room, a male who liked to acquaintance himself with Izumi and speak to her in the elevator and such, speaks, “Izumi… this is Jose in the security office. Normally I wouldn’t bother you, but there’s some weird kid in the lobby asking for you. We’re going to kick his ass for you, so don’t worry… unless you know him or something? He might be your little brother or something… I’ll send the footage to your computer… you should see it now.”

So it was Jose, he was a nice person, though his flirtatiousness got annoying at times. She smiled hearing this, to e honest the way he spoke sounded a bit cute, though the information was a bit interesting. Izumi was an only child, but she checked out the footage as she leaned back just enough to look at her computer screen. She saw what he was talking about and she just arched a brow. How did he find me here? It was certainly an interesting thing, but she really didn't want any of them. The thought of the security guard's beating him into the ground was a funny one, but she sighed. Clearly it could be heard over the phone. "Just hold him there, I'll be right there Jose, see you soon, Thank you." she said with a smile as she got off her desk and placed the phone back on the phone holster, thus hanging up the phone. She fixed her outfit as sighed. "I wonder what this one wants." She placed the vanilla folders on her desk as she left from the office heading for where Seiki was.

Jose relays the message to the guards at the front desk who touch their ear when they get the message. I grin and fold my arms. “You guys in the matrix?” I ask in a teasing tone. “Look, do what I say or you’ll end up like that Asei cop.” They pause for a moment and then chuckle finding it amusing. “Oh, that’s funny? He didn’t tell you how he was begging for mercy when my size nine went across his face?” I stand casually and toss my hair, “I guess I wouldn’t tell anyone either.” One of the guards points and speaks, “you watch how you speak about the captain.” I smirk looking to the male. If he was the captain, I can only imagine how weak you are.” The man lumbers forth and comments, “okay kid, it’s time to calm down and come with us. You’re causing a ruckus in the alleyway.” His arm reaches out for my wrist. My body moves swiftly from its relaxed position as my hip rams against his with my back to him, and he finds himself hip tossed onto the ground in front of me. With the act, I hear several clicks as guns are lifted at me. I pause and look around, releasing the guards hand as I lift my own hands. “Pointing a gun at a civilian? I guess if cops don’t get their way, they get pissy and have to take the easy way out,” I taunt. I figured they were all normals; getting out of here would be a cinch, but I start to wonder if I had pushed it a bit too far in all of this. Even with my uncle’s connections, I knew I could still get in big trouble; I wasn’t a celebrity just yet.

Of course Izumi cheated by teleporting someplace near to their current position and away from eyesight. She had arrived though soon after the commotion of where Seiki had flipped the guy in a hip toss. Her voice spoke out past them toward's the boy. "You assaulted an officer within their precinct, they hold all right to treat you as though you are a terrorist." Her tone was sharp and firm as she walked up behind those with the guns. Of course she patted one on the back. "Calm down boy's." she said kindly. "Let's talk this out, it can be quite annoying handling the paperwork if you start shooting in here."

Well not really, she just wanted an excuse to make them put down their weapons. She wondered if it worked, she was only a secretary it's not like she had much power unless she threw Captain Asei's name around, they would be certain to listen to that, but that would just be a slick and underhanded thing to do. Taking advantage of her boyfriend's position.

Izumi’s arrival may have saved me from getting shot, but of course, that was one of the furthest things from my mind. The security guards look to her as she enters into the scene. The male who was hip tossed picks himself up from the ground and steps forwards and belts me one good in the stomach as my attention is on Izumi. The guard turns to Izumi and smiles, “sorry, I just had to get him back.” Leaning over from the punch, I cough slightly, “fricken cheap bastard…” I rub my stomach and stand back up. The guard points to me and says, “you’re lucky she’s here. Normally we’d take you in, but she works for someone pretty important, so we’ll let her handle you.” The male behind the counter speaks, “sorry you had to come down here. People are just rude these days. Luckily he’s just a punk and not one of ‘them.’” By them, he meant a demon, but I wasn’t paying enough attention to even hear him, much less decipher his words. The larger guard who had punched me, folds his arms and looks to Izumi assuring her, that they would stand by incase they were needed. The receptionist goes back to his work after his words to Izumi. “Shut up…” I moan annoyed, “you’ve got to be shitting me if that cop’s actually someone important. And you’re his chick… or not his chick according to you… whatever, that doesn’t matter. I need you to teach me how to warp and stuff so I can do better in the next Onitoshi Tournament and fight demons and crap.”

Izumi merely smiled nervously when the guy that got flipped took his revenge, she merely rubbed the back of her head as she released a sigh and shook her head. She looked to Jose and just smiled and waved him off kindly. "It's alright, don't worry about it."

She looked toward's the kid again and she sighed as she walked closer to him and stopped in front of him while he was in mid sentence as she punched him directly in the mouth when he started saying something about her teaching him something. A pleasant smile was on her face as she rubbed her fist, this may come off as a surprise to many within the office as her only excuse came out to be was. "Whoops, my hand slipped..."

“Ow! Bitch!” I emit. Luckily my cat like relaxes kicked in with the punch came, but due to the fact of me being caught off guard and not expecting a smiling woman to hit me, the reflexes where more like that of a retarded cat. I was probably looking at her chest during the punch too; I could have sworn the left one juggled just a little before the attack came. “You psycho cow udder monkey…!” I complain in a low murmur as my hand rises to rub the lower portion of my face, “how does it slip with a fist curled?” I take a step back from her; I knew I couldn’t counter attack in front of all these armed guards. I could probably get away, but up to this point I was lucky. Even if I could get away, I didn’t want the annoyance of having to deal with the after effects of escaping downtown. Composing myself, I straighten back up and allow, “that’s one. I’m trying to be nice and ask you to show me how to do that thing where you banish people to other places. Now I know how to do fire and wind magic…”

Seriously this kid did not know where he was really? They really did jump on those with magical ability and try to suck them into their ranks, she did her best to keep her own powers a secret from most of these people. She preferred just being thought as a normal human being. She would punch him again as she merely started to put on a ploy. "What are you talking about?" Her brow curled up as she crossed her arms up under her breast as she looked at him.

Ducking away from the punch if it came, I would look at her after her words; I was once again interrupted. I took the punch almost as if it were my bigger sister chastising me for absolutely no reason; but since I didn’t have one, I couldn’t know for sure what that was supposed to feel like. The two guards and the receptionist find the back and forth amusing, especially the part when I got hit in the mouth the first time. The larger guard stands with his arms folded about his chest with a grin on his face as if taking this all in to recount to his buddies about later. For a moment she catches me off guard again with asking what I was talking about, but with a grin, I realize that this was a test to prove to her that I knew my stuff. “Okay, I’ll show you!” I assure her. Looking around, I figured it was a pretty nice place on the inside; but the government had money. “It’s kind of nice in here though… I don’t want to set the place on fire…” With a sigh, I decide, “wind it is.” I look around for something to knock over, perhaps a table, chair, or something. I could always blow open the doors to prove it or put a dent in the walls. I assumed since we were standing here and she hadn’t pulled me to the side that I would be doing my demonstration here. I frown murmuring to myself while looking around the room, “there’s no good targets here… I guess the guard that hit me will do…” Looking to him, I ask, “sir, can I hit you as hard as I can in your stomach?” The man looks at me for a moment and then laughs. “Kid, you’re on. I’ll give you 5 bucks if you can knock the wind out of me,” he laughs looking to his buddies in a chummy manner.

She could only but face palm to what he had said, keeping her face in her palm she shook her head as well. This guy..... She thought to herself as she took in a deep breath and she sighed. So he wanted to show off in this place that was all about taking out the demon realm and spiritual activity. How good would that look in a place such as this.

Well it was a good thing that he decided not to use fire or else she would have been forced to shoot him herself. He decided upon wind and wanted to use one of the guards as a demonstration. "There's no need for that." She spoke out hoping to stop them from throwing their testosterone around like that. She turned to Jose and she gave him a gentle smile. "Could you be a sweety and get me a bottle of water please?"

The guard looks to Izumi when she speaks, and then frowns at me as if I had done something wrong. But still, she said there was no need for me to show her, so I guess that meant she accepted things? Jose is quick to stand up and smiles, “sure Izumi, let me get that for you.” It was obvious in his tone that he was happy to do something for Izumi and was probably thinking this was getting him one step closer to getting her out on a date. As the tweedle dumb proceeds to fetch the water, I look to Izumi and ask, “okay, so if there’s no need to show you, you understand right? I guess you’re at work now, or something, so you want to meet up later or something? Ashram normally took me into the forest for this kind of thing, but for you, I guess you can just take us anywhere, right?” I didn’t really know how to read the situation, but at least she wasn’t punching at me, which was a good thing. It didn’t bother me as much as it would if she were a guy, since I was used to Natuski abusing me.

Her thought's connected with his, as her voice flared up into the mind of the kid as she still her her back to him. "You best watch your fucking mouth! I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but don't get me wrong I won't hesitate to wipe you from existence in this universe and the next. You ruin my cover here and I'll ruin your entire life." Like a hot knife through butter her flared words exploded into Seiki's mind, televocal and anti-cast, she still leaned against the counter as she stood up and looked to Seiki and gave him a peaceful look and a gentle smile still on her face. "As I said before, I know not of what your speaking about. Though if you wish to have a meeting with me then it will just have to wait until I finish working."

The voice comes in loud and clear as it would seem like she is yelling at me with no outward indication. I look around as the sound comes in, wondering if there were a clone of her standing behind me or something, but after a moment, I realize that she must be talking to me with her mind; that was so cool! From her words, I gain that she didn’t want me going into detail about her at work. It was pretty easy to come along the thought line that blowing her cover was something that she didn’t want me to do and there seemed to be a good amount of passion in that desire. I didn’t know the reason why she wanted to keep something like this a secret, but I give a sly grin as I realize that was something that could be leverage. Still as she spoke mentally, I tried to get a handle on how she was doing it. Ashram had only gone into the elements. He had hinted into other magics, but did not go into detail; I had no basis on which to attempt to analyze Izumi’s psychic abilities. With the tone she had taken, I figured I should lay off her a bit and go along with things for now. My purpose is so that hopefully that would put her in a better mood for when she got off of work. I decide that I wouldn’t try to blackmail her unless she flat out rejected me, and judging from what I’ve seen of her personality thus far, she would probably rather I told on her rather than succumb to being blackmailed; though that could happen too.

As her ending words come in, I counter with a nod and agreeable smile on my face as I chime, “sure thing lady. Just be ready to teach. What time you cop secretaries get off? 5, like the rest of government?”

Around this time, Jose returns with a water bottle, handing it off to Izumi, offering with a smile, “here you go, Izumi.”

She turned toward's Jose as he came back with the water and she smiled happily taking it as she opened the bottle and gave Jose a wink. "Thank you, you're such a sweet heart." After that she would turn away from Jose and look toward's Seiki as she held the bottle of water in her right hand and the cap in her left hand. She took a moment to look at the time and then gauged on how much work was left and Jyn's schedule. "Within the hour I should be done." She added "So I can leave then, everything should be alright without me with his schedule set up as it is." She looked toward's Seiki and gave him a smile. "So I can meet you wherever." Of course she would notify Jyn of her early leave and where she would be going.

“Hmm…” I murmur, “an hour.” My arms cross as my gaze shifts to the side in thinking for a moment. An hour wasn’t really enough time to go and do something, but while thinking about it, I come up with something to do to fill that time. With a smile, I look back up to her and nod, “all right, I’ll meet you right out there in the parking lot in an hour.” My body shifts a bit as I rotate and point beyond the front doors. I assure, “I’ve got something very important to do that can fill an hour.” Looking to the large male who served as a security guard, I ask, “now if you will be so kind as to show me where the bathroom is. I have some business to attend to.” I rub my hands thinking about the onslaught I would render onto their toilets; the porcelain would be at my mercy. The guard scoffs and answers, “yeah right kid; there’s no public restroom here. Go across the street to the café for that.” My hands stop rubbing as a frown comes to my lips. “Ass…” I murmur under my breath before I nod and bid farewell, speaking, “an hour, parking lot. Sound good?” If that was good, then I would proceed along my way out of the doors from which I had entered into the building, to head across the street to poo poo.

She just stared at him as she began to drink some water fumbling with the cap in her left hand. Her blue eyes peeked at him and listened to his words and watched his interactions from then on. She simply nodded her head to what he said about meeting in the parking lot in about an hour. This was going to be a peculiar day, she watched him as he left and pulled the bottle away from her lips, having drank at least half of it by now. she released a sigh and shook her head. "Young men these days..." She looked towards Jose and asked him. "Say Jose....think we can do a background check on that one there? If I recalled correctly, I believe he's called Seiki, though last name was not spoken around me last I seen him." she was asking him in a hushed hushed manner trying to make it look secretive.

Jose nods and confirms in a hushed voice as well, “I will get on the background check right away. Go ahead and go back to your office and leave it to me.” He gives a reassuring smile, “I’ll email the information to your computer as soon as I’m able to pull it up.” The other two security guards tip their hat and comment, “well it looks like things are under control here. We’ll be returning to our posts. Let us know if you need anything else.” With that the lead one turns around , commenting to the other, “that kid’s lucky he didn’t get shot and locked up… in that order.” The other chuckles lightly as he moves the conversation towards who would be covering his lunch shift. Things in the lobby seemed to cool down and return to normal at that point.

I would already have made it across the street. “Bathroom… bathroom… “ I murmur as I make it onto the side walk on the other side of the street. I see a few small establishments, one of which seems to be a small sandwich shop tucked between the larger more corporate buildings. I would have assumed a donut shop would be across the street from the pigs, but I guessed they liked sandwiches too. I make my way into the shop and walk through the main lobby. It had a moderate sized crowd inside and I find myself welcomed as I move through the lobby, by one of the workers by the cash register. With a smile and a nod, I point towards the bathroom and continue my way back to it. The door is opened, and I close it behind me after I get it. It was now the time for intense toilet training to begin.

Nodding her head to what Jose said she gave him thanks and looked toward's the guard's who stated that things appeared control and if she needed them to just give them a ring. She nodded and waved at them as they left. She looked to Jose as she waved at him and then walked off heading back to her office. She needed to finish up her work within the hour and leave Jyn and notification that she would be leaving early and that she was going to be in the company of Seiki. To call her if he needed anything. She was definitely going to scold that kid later after the hour was up.

During the hour wait, Izumi would receive an email from Jose who delivers the goods as promised. They would have been able to use the Division’s resources as well as facial recognition software to pull up the personal information of Asakano Seiki. His high school records would be the easiest to fine as well as his demographic information. He would be shown as an average student who graduated high school and went into acting instead of college. The information is given that he lives alone with his mother and that his father was killed by way of suicide, leaving his insurance dividends to his family after going unemployed. The report goes on further to detail that Seiki’s mother had been diagnosed with a seemingly incurable and unexplained illness whereas she was discharged from the hospital several years ago to live with Seiki. The tax information seems a bit iffy as the money from his father’s inheritance ran out and there was a period of time where the household income was unaccounted for while Seiki assumed the financial responsibilities of head of the household. Seiki’s outer family is briefly cross reference as no surviving relatives exist on his mother’s side, but there appeared to be some shady business on his father’s side, namely his father’s eldest brother who was believed to pull strings on a small time yakuza faction. There is a motorcycle registered in Seiki’s name and no criminal record. Jose ends the correspondence with “always there if you need me, Jose. XOXO.”

My elbows rest on my knees as I concentrate focusing my mental chi in an ability to reach out and speak to Natsuki. It doesn’t work, of course, but it does help with pushing out the last chocolate train from the station. There is an audible plop and I relax a bit, lifting my gaze to look at the bathroom wall in front of me. “How did she do that…” I murmur lightly. I stand from my seated position, my middle portion bear. Reaching to the side, I pull toilet paper and bring it to my ass wherein I wipe, look at it, wipe a small smear that accidentally got on the side of my finger, and then toss into the toilet. I repeat this action thrice before flushing the toilet, reaching down and hiking up my britches. With them in place I give a soft sigh and then walk to the door. Pausing for a moment, I turn back and wash my hands quickly before actually exiting. On leaving the bathroom, I look at my phone. An hour hadn’t passed yet, so from there, I decide that since I’m in a sandwich shop, I might as well get a sandwich.

I sit down and enjoy my meal, spending the rest of the hour eating a cold cut trio and watching the news on the shop’s visual screen. After I’m done, I deposit my trash in the bin and hit the door, heading outside towards the Division 12 parking lot. I would be 2 or 3 minutes past an hour, but I didn’t expect her to be exact when she said the time.

She would arrive at her office and get back to work like she always does. Quickly she went through what was left and wrote up the reports that she needed to write up and send them out to the appropriate people. Izumi didn't waste time when it came to work and spend every minute she could doing what she always did best her secretarial work. Though she did have a pause in her work as Jose had emailed her the information that she had requested and she read through what he had found. Deep in thought she sat there for a couple minutes thinking about what was in that email and about that Seiki. A soft escaped her lips as she uttered. "Poor thing..." She sent a reply email to Jose giving him thanks for the information. ending it with a 'Much Love, Izumi'

Izumi when it came to being on time she was punctual and usually it was rare for her to be late for anything, well especially considering the fact that she can teleport just about anywhere she needed to go. After the hour was up Izumi was already in the parking lot waiting for Seiki. Her work had been done and she had already sent Jyn a text message to his phone telling him that she was done for the day and that she was going to be with that Seiki boy, and even emailed him the information that Jose sent her, of course she took out the ending bit of the xoxo and stated if he needed anything to just give her a call.

She was in the parking lot glancing about as she pulled out her phone to look at the time. "hmm..." was all she muttered as she placed her phone back into her inner jacket pocket.

Three security guards stand behind Jose as he receives the email back from Izumi. “Much love!” he gloats as he points to it. The other guards shake their heads and start to walk away. “Oh yeah,” Jose jests, “it’s just a matter of time… wearing her down… wearing her down!” One of the guards retorts, “why don’t you wear down this floor with a mop; get back to work.” Jose responds, “don’t hate!”

Jyn looks to his cell as he gets the text. “Hmm…” he murmurs lightly, “I’m going to have to ask about that one later.” Trusting her and her judgment, Jyn doesn’t think much of it as he returns his cell to his pocket.

Approaching the large breasted woman, I see that she is already in the parking lot, awaiting my arrival. Much like anytime that I thought I was about to learn something new for the first time, I was giddy. I had quite enough of being weak, and aside from my competitive side which wanted to do well in any contest there was the side of me that knew that I had those around me that I had to protect. In the last few invasions of the city, I was close to powerless to keep those around me safe and ended up running away; that would not happen anymore.

I come within range of Izumi with a jovially cocky smile on my face as I greet, “yo! About ready to teach me some stuff? I was thinking about the whole mind talk thing, but then I decided that wouldn’t help against a monster or anything like that; that’d just confuse it a little bit. The teleportation thing would probably be best. If someone was attacking something too close to my home… zap! I could send it to the moon and be done with it! Do you do other stuff too?”

She looked to him as he came up to her and began talking about what he wanted to learn from her. She merely just shook her head and gave a simple comment. "Come with me." was all she said as she turned away from him and walked down the parking lot a little bit until she arrived to her car, a lotus eclipse, Red was the overall color and it had two black strips going down the middle of it from the hood to the back of it. Within her car you could see a black bag that was placed in unique so that it could fit. She pulled out her keys and she pressed a button as the doors became unlocked. "Get in." she stated as she walked to the drivers side and opened the door and got into her car. She would turn on the car after Seiki would get in.

I pause as I come to her and the head shake occurs. “That’s a good shake, right?” I attempt to confirm, my gaze following her curiously as she leads the way towards her car. For the moment, my gaze shifts down as her back is given to me, and then back up as I move quickly to keep up after telling me to come with her. I wondered if she were like that with her boyfriend. From what I saw of her demeanor, I pegged her for the dominant one in the relationship; probably the high heel and whip type. If her boyfriend was that officer guy, then he would probably be a push over. He didn’t seem to manly in my opinion of him.

I continue at paces behind her as we come to the car. My face brightens as I see her walk around to the driver side. “Whoa,” I grin looking from the car to her, “I see the cops pay you pretty well. I might have to come and work for the Division. Moving to the passenger side of the car, I reach for the handle and open it, getting in as ordered. It was a lot sportier than my bike, though it didn’t have the class and sophistication of my uncle’s personal vehicle. I didn’t put too much stock into the fact that we were driving and not flying, or warping, or something. I figured I could leave my bike here for now; the metro basically the safest places in the city. Leaning back and buckling up, I ask, “so, teacher, where are we heading?”

Finally he entered into the car and she could finally pull out from her parking spot. Turning on the car she would put it into reverse and pull out from it with skill and make her way out of the parking lot. "We're taking a little drive." she uttered as she was going down the levels, since the new office was much higher in the building, it wouldn't be long before she would drive out the parking lot and out onto the street. "So for what reason are you really wanting my assistance? In what god given mind would you like obtain more power?"

Her blue eyes kept to looking at the streets ahead of her as she turned on the a/c into the car. This boy was peculiar to say the least but she is going to find out somethings about it, though she already did, but it would be better if he confirmed somethings that she had already found out herself.

“A little drive…” I murmur lightly with my gaze on her for a moment viewing her profile. With a light sigh, I turn my attention to the front and relax in the seat with my gaze forwards, looking out the front windshield as she drives. Her voice comes in as the question registers. I’m quick to answer superficially as I state, “to kick demon butt, of course.”

Internally, my words don’t really match my feeling; that might be part of the reason, but not the full reason. It would have been great to have powers to battle against Nova with when he did what he did, but at that moment my martial arts would have amounted to squat against him. It was a castrating feeling not to be able to protect someone I cared about; through I didn’t want to get too deep into that kind of thing with a stranger. But still, the fear lingered in me that something like that could hit much closer to home. The police didn’t seem to be doing enough to keep the innocent safe and those who couldn’t take care of themselves. There was a time where hellhounds came so close to my house as my yard, and had Natsuki not been there with her gun, something bad could have happened to my mother who was in no shape to defend herself or escape. Aside from that, I didn’t have any real skills and if I wanted to perform the big jobs for my uncle to continue to put food on our plates, I knew I had to have some type of back up or chances were I could end up dead in a moment.

I continue in a lower voice, “…and to protect and take care of those I love.” In a more jovial tone, I grin, “Well, I’m not going to let those around me get hurt again, ever. Fighting is all I know, since I was little and now I find out that I’m not that strong. I’m not super smart or anything like that, so this is the only thing I have to help those around me.”

Something occurs to me as I ask, “hey… how do you have powers anyways? Why would you have powers? You’re like a nurse or assistant or something, right?”

The answer that she had gotten was sounding a billy silly as it didn't really match the tone that he had when he said it. Though her eyes never shifted away from the street, still they drove around with no particular purpose. Though as a while went on a new response came into play as he it was more sincere and true to what he really wanted and to what she had imagined after reading that report upon him. Then he asked a question about how she had powers, and she merely sighed as her tone came out soft and gentle. "The reason why I have power's is because I was granted it through birth as most people are. Some are able to obtain power later on and some just don't. Though in my particular case its something I was born into, I'm not a nurse or an assistant, that's merely just a job I do to get by in my living accommodation."

The tone I was hearing now was a different from the screaming I heard in my head when she spoke to me telepathically. Still, she displayed a bit of this side before, I was just being pigheaded at the time due to my preconceptions of her. After thinking over it, she was probably a really nice person, though I didn’t care for how our conversation went in the past when I was warped. I could probably get myself to believe that she did it for my own good, but a thought like that would probably get me defensive and upset as I tended not to like to associate myself with weakness and helplessness. I nod slightly, turning to her as she spoke and back to the road when her words were done. “That’s cool,” I respond afterwards, “working to get by. But you’re like super pretty. I would have pegged you for an actress or a model.” Thinking over her earlier words, I murmur to myself, “born with it, huh? I guess I’m not as lucky.” I remembered that the swordsman did mention that power could be inside me and needed to be unlocked, but the lady next to me didn’t really look like she had to train or anything. Nothing about her said “work” since I superficially judged her as soft, kind and pretty. I simply assumed when she said she was born with her powers, that they came automatically with no work involved.

He guessed right on for her being an actress though she wasn't a full time Hollywood star just yet there was still much work to go on by before she got to that standard of being known world wide. She kept driving around as she was silent for a moment. "I am an Overwatcher..." she stated giving a slight hint toward's what she was born into. It was an old clan and probably would be very hard to find in the history books or could possibly be told as tall tales. "I watch the balance between good and evil to make sure it is always in check. There cannot be too much good nor can there be too much evil. So I have to do whatever it takes to keep it in balance." She gave a pause. "Even though I was born with the power I have, I still have to maintain it and work to make it stronger. Though it's kinda difficult when you have a life to live here."

The word Overwatcher catches my attention as she speaks it. To me it seemed like something where ‘there could be only one,’ or a cool title granted to people who were more than ordinary people. Given the fact that she could do what she could, I knew that it wouldn’t be too surprising if she were something close to a demigod. If there were demons and spirits running around everywhere, I figured there might as well be angels too. I wondered if Overwatchers was a term for angelic beings. I never was one for religion or studying subjects related to spirituality, so attempting to figure out just what was what would probably just serve to further confuse me. I didn’t see why there couldn’t be too much good at first, but after thinking about it, I murmur, “it’s like eating too much ice cream…” Or having too much sex, or something like that. She shatters my notions of her having worked for her powers instead of it being simply a cake walk in achieving abilities. Since she had to work to make her powers stronger, it made her seem a bit more human than the title Overwatcher first lead me to believe. I wondered if, with enough work and effort, if I could get a cool title too. I didn’t know where they passed them out, but I figured if I were strong enough, I could make my own title: GARmaster.

With a nod, I comment, “so that’s how it is? So you’re all like… living two lives and stuff. That’s why you don’t want the people at work to know. I guess that makes sense. How many Overwatchers are there?”

The drive continued as their conversation went on. She merely scoffed for a moment as she settled to stopping at a red light. "It's not really that, it's just people with spiritual activity such as us aren't treated like humans and with always be looked down upon and tried to be recruited to work under their orders. Working as a secretary is rather fine for me than working as their little officer, I don't have to worry so much about going out to fighting all I really have to worry is about reports and papers." She'd rather be thought of as a regular human any, keeping her other life covered up was the best thing, but things doesn't really work out like how you want. She sighed to answer his last question. "I'm the last one left." Her tone rather depressed as the thought of her, her family gone, anyone she really ever loved in the overwatchers, gone.

“Hmm…” I understand as she speaks more about the implications of being special. So the Division was looking for people with magical skills? I guess it was an easy way to get a job, though the term easy would be relative. Still, I wouldn’t want to work for the Division since they were pretty police-like in their appearance and what I thought of them. I never really wanted to grow up to be a cop, much less a spirit cop. The one thing about cops was that, even though there were cops that went rogue at times and ignored the rules, there were still rules. I would rather deal with things that affected me and my family and those around me rather than being forced to do it as part of my job. Though it was a normal effort, I felt it would take time away from those I needed to protect and love the most.

As the tone of her voice changes, I turn my gaze from the red light ahead to the side looking at her and noting the shift. I wondered if the other Overwatchers were something like her family or something like that. Apparently it seemed to be something painful for her to remember, so I didn’t think it to be something good to ask at the moment. I decide to change the subject at that moment as I inquire, “so sensei, what type of teaching style do you have? I learned fire and wind from Ashram. You may have heard of him; he’s pretty awesome, but he’s in the past realm I think. He’s a really skilled swordsman; he even gave me one of his swords, even though I suck at using it.”

She hasn't really heard about anyone from the past realm, but it might have possibly been within the library of her people. Though she doesn't really have a teaching style as she herself wasn't even a master and never had a student before, so it was really a unknown answer sort of question. "I have to be honest with you..." she started. "I don't teach people, I still haven't even fully completed my own training, my entire clan is wiped out but me, so I only have myself to teach straight from the scrolls of my people and go by that. I don't even know if I would even be a good teacher, I have no reason to teach you anything, so tell me why should I even bother teaching you anything?"

Her answers are a little alarming. I was under the assumption that she was going to teach me, otherwise, why would I be in the car? Where were we going? She never really did answer that question. I begin to think; perhaps I knew too much! She did say that she wanted to keep her secret away from her coworkers. I knew that a dead man told no secrets. I wondered if I had gotten myself into a bad situation here. So far I hadn’t buckled my seat belt… I figured I could probably dive out of the car of need be. The second issue was that I didn’t know how to answer her question. I was never really good at thinking and giving answers, so anything I said had the potential to come out wrong. I had already tossed out the idea of trying to black mail her with the information I knew, and in my current situation, that would probably not be the smartest answer. A bit more weary of her, I attempt not to look at her suspiciously as I answer, “you shouldn’t need a reason to help someone in need.” It wasn’t a good answer, but it was how I felt and what I believed in.

She would hear his answer and give a nod of her head. "That is a valid point, though I really hold no reason to help you at all. I am apart of a clan that keeps a balance, and from what I see so far you have a nice balance going on. So what could be important enough to knock your balance out of whack that you need help." she knew she was going to help him out eventually, she already read upon his file and saw what was his imbalance and why he needed such a thing, she just wondered if he was smart enough to give the answer she was searching for.

Nice balance? I wondered for a moment where she was looking at. Unable to contain my thoughts, I verbalize them outwardly. “That’s… crazy…” I utter, “You can’t be serious? Balance? We’ve demons invade and tear up the city on several occasions. When was the last time you saw a bunch of humans going to mess up hell? On top of that after they messed up the city the last time me and all my friends mysteriously got thrown into the past for like five months and then after that they go and warp humans back and forth without their consent to some weird place to fight for their amusement? No, they messed up the balance, because none of that crazy stuff was happening before they started attacking the city. I’ve had hellhounds in my front yard where my mom stays. That’s not cool. You can’t talk to a hell hound. I can’t say, ‘hey hell hound can you not indiscriminately kill in front of my house?’” I frown, “I don’t even really want to hunt and kill demons, I just want to be able to protect those I love, so I’m not going to throw off any balance either way.”

Listening to him as he ranted off, her eyes shifted over to him for a second as she arched a brow. He began to question what she was talking about. Over the years there had been great balances that were thrown out of whack because someone wanted to take control of something. Her clan had been there to keep in balance and knew what was more important in situations where it could be balanced. "At least you recognize what's not in balance and what needs to be repaired. Though as I said, I really hold no obligation to help you on your personal need to protecting those you love, its in balance because you already have the power to protect them. That's your balance that evens it out, to go up to me and ask me to teach you out of the blue without even a valid reason is just asking for rejection." The light turned green and she continued to move. Her fingers strummed the steering wheel. "So your upset about a carnival that comes out every so many odd years. Did you even know that only those with a spiritual level over a certain amount is able to even see let alone touch those signs? That carnival has been around for as long as we human's have even been around."

It was clear that he wasn't to well knowledged in the realm of the spirits and the other worlds. "you only know so much and whatever is outside of your normal life is deemed out of balance to you because it's outside of your safe zone, it's not something your familiar with. Theres a balance to every situation, and your connection your personal situation with another situation that you don't want to be apart of and don't want to do anything about. So tell me do you have a reason that's far greater than the domination of the human race? Yes, you may say that protecting those you love is more important than everything, but tell me what are a few lives compared to the rest of the world? So I'll lay this out in a manner to which you can understand." She still kept her eyes upon the road. "Help restore the balance to the rest of the world and I'll give you my help or I'll just drop you off wherever you want and you go on with your life?"

It seemed to me that she showed a bit of rationality when she starts off in a manner that makes it seem like she’s agreeing with me. From there, she loses me in some talk about balancing things. There was something said, that I translate to mean I had some type of balance in myself, maybe in a wax on wax off type of manner. I’m given some information about the carnival that I didn’t find to relevant, but figured it went to confirm that she knew a lot about spirits and stuff. Regardless to whether it was wrong or not, I had to assume she was right since I didn’t know about any of that stuff myself. I figured that I wanted the same things that other humans wanted, but it seemed from the way she spoke that the balance was something that didn’t care about peace. I wondered if it were an even more radical view to the point where, if humans pushed the equilibrium, she would attempt to ‘balance’ what I assumed to be her own race. With that thought, it brought back up the question to whether she was really human or something else. With her final words, I am thoroughly lost, so I am unable to help but ask, “how the hell do I restore the balance to the rest of the world? I’m just one guy.”

She figured she confused him with her talk and she looked at him just a second as she was taking a turn. "What can just one guy do? One guy can do a lot. One guy can bring people together. One guy can break people apart, and even one guy can bring together a nation." Her tone softened as she took in a breath. "Just being one guy, you can do a lot. You just need to open your mind up, like you said you know how to do fire and wind, and know a little bit about swordsmanship. You fought in that tournament, you survived all that you have gone through up until now. You done quite a lot. Though you won't be in it alone to help restore the balance. There are others that are going to help in bringing back the balance."

She began to pull up to the parking lot that was adjacent to the woods, they had covered a lot of distance in the time that they were talking. "If you help restore the balance it can very well save the lives of those you love simply because whether you like it or not, if nothing is done to stop those that are coming against the humans, then you all will just perish from this world all together." she never considered herself human, neither did she consider herself a demon nor a spirit. She was just something that was there to keep the balance in things. Even though upon all technicality she was human.

When she speaks, it makes me feel a bit better. After what I felt was pushing me off as worthless in the past, it seems like she acknowledges me here and that makes me feel a world of a lot better. Just that much made me want to hop onboard whatever it was she was doing. Thinking over her words, I nod in the belief that maybe I could do more than I thought I could. It kind of has the effects of a pep talk, though I am easily swayed when those around me were positive. As we pull into some place, she speaks more on the balance and it doesn’t seem to be such a cold and heartless thing. I didn’t really care for judges and those who didn’t have sympathy, but in the same token, I wondered if she meant for me to hold the same sympathy for demons? I did really hold the opinion that they needed it; they seemed to be naturally stronger than humans. After she speaks, I nod and assure, “okay, then I will do my best to keep the balance… I’m not 100% sure what the balance is fully, but I’m sure I can pick it up as you teach me. I’ll try my best, that’s for sure.”

She smiled at his response and states. "It's fine if you don't understand it. It's rather difficult to even see it in the way my clan does." She pulled up into a parking spot and placed her car into park and turned off her car. "What we can do is meet up at this spot everyday about this time, unless my other job calls me in for work. I can work with you until this situation is over or until either of us are killed off by something." She stated taking in a deep breath and releasing it slowly as she pointed over to the woods. "In there is quite dangerous especially at night, many clans live within there till this day as they go abide by their own code to handle thing's. My clan's village reside in the deep in ruin's. I can take you there to practice there, that way we are in a safe zone so we would not be attacked by anyone or anything." She took her hands off the steering wheel as she sat back in her seat as she looked at him. "You know from here on out, your placing your life on the line. You can always back out now and walk away as though none of this has ever happened."

I notice the car come to a stop and turn off; I look around my surroundings for a moment before my attention returns to her as she speaks. With her words, I felt that we were finally getting somewhere and a soft smile starts to form at my lips. I was glad that she agreed to help me and knew that with her assistance I would be doing all kinds of cool stuff soon. As she points to the woods, my gaze follows. I had only been in the woods a few times; they were far enough away from the city for me to really have no purpose to go there, but in following Natuski and Hotaka, I had endured one of my first spirit encounters in life. As all young men fool hardy and set on being brave, I easily accepted that I would be putting my life on the line. With a nod, I assure, “there’s no way I would walk away from this. That wouldn’t be like me at all. I’m in this for the long run, you have my word.” I didn’t want my new teacher thinking I was a fickle flake on the first day.

She listened to him and nodded her head and she stared at her steering wheel for a moment and then she opened the door to her car. "Come on." she uttered softly as she would get out after taking her keys, she popped the trunk to her car and got out closing the driver door and walked to the back to which he pulled out the long black bag that was there through the car and the flat end resting near the foot of the passenger side near Seiki's feet. Pulling it out she unzipped the bag and then pulled out her monk spade from it and tossed the black bag back into the car and then closed the trunk door. Holding the spade in her left hand she would await for Seiki to come and when he did. "We're going in." she would say as she started to walk, her hand coming up to her neck to touch upon a necklace that looked a bit fancy to which it changed her outfit to her fighting outfit, to which would be more familiar as the superhero suit to others. Orange in color tight fitting and upon the bag the clan symbol drawn upon it, the helmet wasn't on this time.

“Okay,” comes the agreement after the moment of silence of my answer. Opening the passenger door, I step out of the sports coup closing the door behind me. Turning I look at her from across the car, watching her come around it and open the trunk. I watch as she pulls out the bag and weapon, surprised that she kept something like that in her car. “Wow,” I murmur, “I really need to find a way to keep my sword on my bike…” I walk around to the back where she was and comment, “that’s… pretty big.” I am told that we were going in and nod in response. I witness the change in outfits and see Izumi transform into a familiar suit that I felt I recognized from somewhere. After the moments she changed, I am silent and blink twice before suddenly breaking out in laughter and holding my side. “Oh my god!” I laugh, “you’re a real superhero! They really do wear crazy costumes. That is nuts!” She was the hottest super hero I had seen in a while, but still, the change was a bit much for me out the blue. “You have to warn me about these things, sensei! At least do the magical-girl change.” I rub my eyes attempting to calm myself with slight after giggles. In my mind I was about the belief that the earth would end before I found myself in one of those costumes.

She stared at him and blinked as he began to laugh. His laughter at her brought upon an irritation as she swung her monk's spade right for his head, but just high enough to slice a lob of hair right from over his head, not touching skin, only cutting hair. Her eye's of blue staring as though blades of sapphire. "What was that?" she said in a manner that really said 'you did not just make fun of my outfit' "I won't get as much mobility in my business attire than I would in this." She turned away from him and rested her spade over her shoulder as she began to walk towards the woods. "I rather be in an outfit with mobility than have to fight against not only my cloths but a rampaging dragon. Which I should tell you, theres plenty of where we're going." She said in a sing song voice as she kept walking.

Feeling a slight breeze, I realize after the fact what happened between the monk’s spade and my head. My hand lifts up and touches where it passed over and the strands were clipped; with that I instantly straightening up. When the question comes, I cough and cover my mouth with my fist and lean to the side as I explain, “nothing. A fly flew in my throat and I started coughing… heh… heh…” Watching as she makes way towards the forest, my eyes widen, “dragons!” Of course, the fact that they would probably be trying to eat me didn’t register; but the fact that they would be there and that, in my mind, I could ride them made me a little bit excited. I jog to catch up with her and walk along side of her as I agree, “hai hai. I got you.”

Walking along side Izumi, I would be watching the area around us. It seemed almost like I was heading towards the forest for the first time. My gaze shifts to the tree line of the area we were heading; I knew that there were all kinds of spirits waiting there, but in thinking about the balance and what Izumi said, I wondered if any of them were like me… only on the other side of the fence. I assumed there probably had to be a reason why the demons were coming to earth rather than staying in Onitoshi. With a nod, I assert to myself that they probably have either very ugly women, high taxes, or bad food there. I continue to think in my self-enlightening manner as I walk along side Izumi-sensei.

As they entered the forest the feel of the area could be felt as different. The atmosphere between the woods and the city was like two completely different planets. Easily you can tell a different lifestyle was in this place. Izumi was quite natural to it as this was her home and someplace she grew up in and followed it's teachings even after her recovery. Her gaze kept on ahead and stayed open not once allowing herself to blink. "Keep your eyes open, you wouldn't want to be surprised." She stated as she kept walking further and further in. "You know with me being your teacher, you'd have to become a clan member." She stated as she looked ahead, within her clan's ruins there were a vast multitude of scrolls ad books and amongst them was a joining ritual that had to be done for every new clan member before teaching's could even be passed on to another. "After you join, I can finally teach you thing's you probably can't really get by too often while being within the city."

Coming into the woods, they were just as creepy in the day as they seemed to be at night. The unsettling feeling I had way back when I came here before made its way into my stomach. It seemed a lot different than the forest of the past realm. The past realm forest seemed dangerous, but naturally dangerous, as this area seemed to me to be a bit supernaturally dangerous. As her words come in, I nod and agree, “right. Open… got it!” I half expected something to happen; I didn’t think that we would be able to make it all the way to wherever we were heading through the forest without being encountered by something. As she continues to speak, I think about it. Becoming a clan member of a 1 person clan didn’t seem like that bad of a thing to me. “That would make us like family, right?” I ask. That could possibly change her title from Sensei to Oni-chan. A goofy grin comes to my face along with rosy cheeks. I had a nice full figured sensei type, minus the glasses, who could transform into a magical girl type while also holding a role as a big sister type. Rubbing my hands together, I cackle lightly about how my plans of the combined fetishes were coming to fruition. An exclamation point flickers as I remember Izumi-chan-sensei-nee’s words to stay alert. “Hey,” I ask, “can you sense stuff too?”

She kept walking through the forest hearing his comment about them being a family. It did hit her just now, if he did join then they would be family essentially, not blood family, but family none the less. This would be quite interesting really, for not nothing would occur to them yet. "I am capable of sensing." she answered as she glanced about and then settled her blue eyes toward's Seiki. "So tell me about this Ashram you spoke about." she asked as she turned her gaze away to where they were walking towards.
